The overall condition of the hotel is just okay. Everything seems pretty old and outdated. The carpet in our room had seen better days and the room could haven been cleaned better. The breakfast selection was good.

The rooms are clean, but the beds were uncomfortable. The curtains had tears or were missing parts. We had 2 rooms and one of the rooms the TV did not work. The staff was SUPER friendly, and informative though, and apologized for the internet being down for a day.
We got tickets to the water park which conveniently 3 of the 4 water slides were down, and then a child pooped in the lazy river shutting that down We tried to wait it out, but got tired of that as it becomes very boring for a 13 yo. Also, conveniently you can not get your money back for that. My husband emailed them regarding this, and we still have NOT gotten a response from said email. We ended up just going to the hotel pool...which my son was very happy to have had that option.

Room was clean, double queen, so pretty spacious. Temp controls work well. Shower pressure was good and water temp adjusted without too much delay. Bed linens were soft clean. Bed and pillows firm.

The property is nice the rooms condition was not the bathroom toilet seat had deep scratches making it look dirty, the shower drain was old and moving also seeming dirty. The kids mattress were dirty should have protected covers. The balcony was filthy and you could hardly open the door. For the price they should look into minor cosmetic updates to make it more price appropriate.

I first want to say we did enjoy our stay but there were some things I felt were different from our first two visits. Our room door was slightly off, we would need to basically lift up the door by the handle in order to properly open and close the door. There was a strong smell in the room. Not dirty but it was a little off, kind of like wet towels or something. I did enjoy our time with my kids but felt it wasn’t as safe from the previous times. In the pool area, people were all over the place throwing themselves in the pool around smaller children, running around making it super difficult for the small children to enjoy the pool as well. I felt that there should be someone from the staff in the area to maintain safety. We enjoyed coco keys and I know it’s separate from the hotel but the same situation in the pool was what we experienced in coco keys. It felt like chaos at one point. Multiple kids throwing themselves down the slides at once, cutting in line, older kids spraying water on the tables where families were sitting and eating. Kids were pushing kids in line to go down the slides. I am always with my child who is 5 but I felt extra vigilant to make sure she was safe because the staff was completely ignoring some of the chaos except for one lifeguard who was being super helpful but can tell she was overwhelmed with how much she had to correct kids. I’m not sure how this can be fixed but I feel some safety precautions should be put in place.

Lovely, clean hotel with nice amenities and a great room. I had everything I needed plus plenty of space in my room with a king size bed, couch, desk, large screen tv, mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, hair dryer and nice Crabtree and Evelyn toiletries. They hand out fresh chocolate chip cookies upon arrival. I also used the pool and hot tub (which was relaxing but not very hot). It is a large hotel and the walk to parking is a bit of a distance which was fine for me but might require extra time or assistance for some. I did not eat at the restaurants on premises but they did look clean and inviting.

The room was very clean, although the hallways were littered randomly with trash and splatters on the walls. The man that was running the spa/fitness area/looking over the pool was very rude. No one under 16 allowed in the hot tub makes it a bit difficult to enjoy when you have young kids.

The place is very nice. It appears that it has its glory times in the past. However, the property appears outdated, and in need of some renovation.

The room would be nice for a 2 or 3 stars hotel, but definitely doesn’t reflect the 4 stars standard.

In the end it is recommended if you are not so picky, and appreciate the simple family fun time.

I stayed there with my husband and two small children. We were supposed to stay for two nights however the heat in our room was not working. We had mechanics come up twice to fix it, second time they replaced the whole unit and in the middle of the night it completely stopped working again. There was snow outside so you can imagine it was extremely cold. My son (4yrs) had a stuffy nose. The kids didn't sleep at all that night. We decided to cancel the second night. They said we would be refunded but I have not received it. This was during February vacation and it is now mid March. I've received no information and no response. Also to top it off we had our luggage plus our kids luggage and having no access to the second floor via elevator is so inconvenient! We had to go up stairs to the second floor with everything. Just seems odd for a family hotel. I will not be recommending this hotel to anyone. Very disappointed as Ive loved staying at the other doubletree locations.

Room 331 has unfinished areas multiple spots on the walls . Cobb webs on the lamp shades so I can only assume house keeping doesn’t clean properly. The bath drain would not stay in the up position over filling during shower . Manager was notified . But strongly doubt she will follow through on complaint.

Doubletree by Hilton North Shore exceeded expectations in every way. Despite being wildly busy with Boston Sea Rovers’ annual conference, all needs were met with smiles and as though welcomed additional support — small refrigerator, extra blankets. Nice not to need heavy hair dryer, shampoo, soap, etc: it’s all there. Mattress that left me feeling great in morning with soft sheets & absorbent towels. Comfy, homey yet simpler with on premises rest, Starbucks, & room service too. Really well orchestrated for exhibition, conferences, and workshops. Fair prices too.

A hour into being checked in we found trash and a moldy sandwich under the toddler room bed side table . Through the night my second king room lost heat noone in maintenance was available until 6:30 in the morning to come fix it it worked for a short amount of time and was freezing cold again .Our second night my double bed room was changed to 2 king family rooms as well toilets were leaking and running all night only one room had heat around 2 am i had a sick 1 year old tht threw up on the blanket and i was told that there were no blankets available. Collecting our belongings to check out i found a pair of boxers in the room with young girls so tht room must not have been deeply cleansed either.

The first room we received had a broken heater, the staff advised we could switch rooms and get new keys at the front desk. When I told them I had a small child and could not easily accomplish this and needed a cart and keys brought to my room., they grumbled and eventually brought the new keys. My daughter being cold after leaving the pool was less than happy to switch rooms at 7pm. The next day when trying to get to our car, we waitied by the elevator (which we found out later that day was broken) to which we had to walk like a half mile to get to our vehicle/items that were in the car still. The room lamp was flickering to which I checked and the outltet behind the bed was loose and not working properly so i just used my cords in a different outlet. Overall the place was nice but staff was not very good. The one manager (blonde female) was pleasant and went the extra mile to find me allergy free cookies.

The room was disgustingly dirty and this was our second room we were moved once. The staff at check in I had to deal with 3 people the first person checking me was polite he was in training. They were having a special for their waterpark passes while staying there 4 for $5 it was on the waterpark website I called both the waterpark and hotel to confirm. When I got there, he had no idea what I was talking about ok. Another girl comes over so rude says it is over, another girl rude again says they never had it. I had to spend an additional $125 to go to the water park. The hotel pool was at capacity we were able to get in once they had no towels and the pool probably should’ve been at capacity. There were rude teenagers running all over the hotel. Screaming like at 1am swearing and out of control. The employee when I asked for a new room immediately told me they had none. I had to ask her to please look. And, they did. -100 I would never recommend this hotel to anyone the pictures of my room are awful and the couldn’t help me because I booked through a third party. I also left a night early it was so bad!!

It’s a very large hotel with nice and clean room but it was the noisiest hotel I’ve ever been to. Neighbors were fighting and sounded like they were doing karaoke all night and I could hear every word.(not the hotels fault) I felt like I was at a casino because groups of people were going up and down the hallways at all hours of the night. You have to pay for the breakfast which is the same stuff as any standard free hotel breakfast.

I've been staying here 5-6 times a year for the last couple of years with my disabled son and in the last 6 months there has been a marked improvement in service and room quality. New entertainment system you can sync to your media (helpful for those with kids), new linens used on the beds (much more comfortable, cleaner), more professional service and look from the staff. I don't know
what's changed but keep it up. Feels like small changes but significant impact. Great job! Keep it up!

The room had many different damaged spots. Rip in the bed frame, stain on the floor, shower drain filled with hair. We brought this up and they sent a man up to our room who hardly spoke english and had absolutley no idea what we were teying to say. On top of that, we checked in to the hotel to quickly find that there was a church youth group staying there of some very rowdy and inappropriate teenagers. No matter where we went in the hotel, it was taken over by teenagers, the pool, arcade, lounge area, lobby. The kids in the hall way were yelling very inappropriate things while we were right in front of them with our two children who are both under 2 years old. The restaurant appeared to be closed because the hotel was accommodating this very large group. We didnt even want to attempt to stay the night because of how uncomfortable we were, and the manager did not even consider offering a refund for our terrible, 3 hour stay. The hotel listing also makes it look like the waterpark is part if the stay, it is not. You have to pay $70.00 a person to be able to use it. Will NEVER return.
