The shower was a little drippy but shower pressure was great, And the shower was a little dated but clean. Our beds were comfortable and clean with comfortable pillows to choose from. Mirrors were bright. Liked seperate bath from sink area. Big closet space and a place to work at a desk and a couch that was clean and big. Staff especially nice and friendly. Breakfast was good. Slept well. Didnt hear a lot of noise at night even though there were bus loads of people. They were on another floor. Aplus

The pool area was filthy. Looked like blood stains and garbage on the floor, the hot tub looked like it had fungus growth on the bottom of it. There were stains on the couches in the rooms and crumbs on the floor. TV didn’t work in the first room and staff seemed annoyed when they changed our room. Will not be staying here again.

Very spacious for our family with 2 comfy queen beds. We enjoyed the work space and used it when the kids went down for bed.

The property had everything we needed though we did not use most of it. Breakfast was nice to have. Plenty of parking.

The only thing outdated in the room was the bathroom area. The shower was clean though it could really use an update.
We would definitely stay again.

Room was fine but they dont do grounds upkeep whatsoever, they had 1 single parking space in the entire parking lot due too construction onsite and it had a broken smashed glass bottle on the ground(which popped my tire as i didnt see it in the dark) the parking lit was completely unsalted and it was snowing and the lot was completely iced over and we almost fell multiple times while carrying our infant to and from our car. Even after asking the desk clerk to please have salt put down

The Hotel was under construction, which I received an email about the day of our stay, too late to cancel without a fee. They did do a very good job of keeping things clean in the main areas while construction was going on. We were made aware that the water would be turned off from 10 AM to 5 PM. So when we went to take our showers at 11 PM, there was no hot water. The hot water was turned on, but the showerhead was clogged up, probably with residue from the pipes being turned off. The manager, Michael, sent someone up to fix it. It was repaired while we were at breakfast. Unfortunately, my friend was already in the shower and soaked up when the water had stopped working from the showerhead. He said that he would put some points back in our account. I did not ask for a financial credit. That has been about three weeks ago and I have still not seen any points added back to our Marriott account. Although he was very nice, and seemed to be accommodating… It appears as though he may not have followed through with his commitment on the credit. It was definitely an inconvenience at the time, but not his fault.

Place was in construction and I called ahead to make sure pool and hot tub were working but when arrived, hot tub was out of service, pool area was freezing and water temperature way too cold;

Conditioner dispenser empty;
Tried to break down $20 to leave housekeeping tip and front desk person said they were no cash policy and told me to just give the $20;
Kitchenette sink water was difficult to close;

Remodelling going on but did not impact the stay Down side the shampoo bottle in room was empty and the fridge in the room was making a quite noticeable hum to the point I unplugged it. Went to front desk to get shampoo and there were 2 different parties in a conflict with the desk worker. seems their rooms were not ready for them. check in was at 3:00 pm it was past 5 pm. Went to a local store to get the shampoo instead of getting in the middle of this dispute. The pool was too cold for me. but the hot tub was nice after a long day in the city

The desk staff were wonderful. Very helpful. During breakfast one of the staff members left toast in 3 out of 4 slots in the toaster. After a solid five minutes of myself, another parent and multiple children waited, we assumed they were left by another guest and removed one of the pieces of toast on one side so it could start to be used by guests. A couple moments later the staff member, don't know her name, short blonde hair older woman, made of very loud fuss at the fact that she couldn't find the piece of toast which was taken out by a napkin and placed neatly right in front of the toaster not touched by hands. It was a very awkward situation and we all just kind of ignored it.
We understood the hotel was under renovations that was not a problem. But the water in the pool area, especially the Jacuzzi was discolored and had a bit of a brown tinge to it. Also the material at the bottom of the Jacuzzi felt very uncomfortable to sit in or step on. It was very rough and scratched skin on adults not just children. Lastly there was only one cup at the coffee machine, we had to go down and ask for more. These are all little things but they definitely added up to give a lower score, and not a place i would recommend. Minor management things that could be reviewed. When people go away they're looking to de-stress not things that cause more frustration.

We had to wait 30 minutes to check in (something wrong with the computers, I think). I learned at check-in I would be charged for parking (not mentioned in the booking information).

They informed us the water had been turned off (would be on again in about an hour). An hour later, still no hot water.

I was not able to use Netflix, and tried to call the front desk. No one would answer so I went downstairs and waited at least another five minutes for someone to come to the desk (no bell, or sign saying “back in five minutes”). He had ear buds in every time I saw him and no name tag (seems unprofessional). He did send someone up to look at the TV (which was welcoming Scott, not me). The man who came up told us it was a WiFi issue that has been a problem for many customers for an extended period of time.

I’m disappointed as I booked this hotel rather than a cheaper motel brand in order to have a good hotel experience.

Expedia provided excellent support, at least.

Upon our arrival, we noted that the building's facade was undergoing construction, and there was a discernible, unpleasant odor within the premises. Due to the ongoing construction, the hotel was unable to provide connecting rooms, offering adjacent rooms as the closest alternative. Immediately following check-in, the significant noise and banging from the construction equipment detracted from our ability to enjoy our stay, prompting us to leave our room to avoid the disturbance. My previous experience at a Bonvoy property in Portland was considerably more favorable, characterized by superior cleanliness, modern amenities, and a highly professional and accommodating staff.

Staff is very kind, breakfast was yummy, there’s a pool and hot tub, our room was great and it’s extremely easy to get to! Bed was very comfy! The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is they were doing construction to the front of the hotel so we had to use an alternate entrance and had to cut the water off from 1130-430 the first 2 days we were there and we weren’t notified this would be going on until we checked in. After driving 15 hrs all I wanted to do was shower. However, that issue aside everything else was great! I would stay there again!

Staff was very uncaring. A 70 year old member of our party slipped on a wet floor injuring her knee, other guests helped us lift her to a chair. She was in severe pain and the front desk worker came over and put up a sign stating “slippery when wet”, at the beginning of the hallway not at the door where we had just entered through, handed me two Bare aspen and walked away. Not once did she check one our injured party. When I reported the incident in the morning to a manager, she just said, I’m sorry. She said she would have a mat put down in front of the door right away. When we left two hours later there was still no mat at the door. Still no one checking if our member was ok.

While the front desk staff was friendly, the hotel was noticeably, dirty and extremely noisy. I was only able to get three hours of sleep the first night because of the loud party going on downstairs and then kids running around in the halls yelling in the middle of the night. I intended to swim in the hotel pool, but it was closed “for maintenance” even though nobody was working there the entire time we stayed. The free breakfast was nice in the location was good for going to Salem, but our hotel stay was borderline miserable.

Card was charged multiple night in a row for unapproved charges. Was told about the parking fee which is fine. Wake up the next morning with a $100 charge for nothing along with a $20 charge. When asking the staff nobody could give an answer. Next morning we get up and we have another charge for using the market at the hotel although we never purchased anything under the room. Hotel was fine employees were sketchy and overall not helpful. If I could go back I would spend the extra $129 on a better hotel.

The hotel was under construction. The pool was closed. We had to pay to park when the entrance was under construction. We had to enter through the conference room. Breakfast was sparse. We picked this hotel to enjoy the pool and hot tub and it was closed even though I called the day before to double verify. The furniture in our room was stained and peeled. Lighting for parking lot was dim and could not figure out how to get into parking lot. For the price that we paid, this was unacceptable.

Staff was great but lobby was dirty and furniture is old and stained and full of holes. They ran out of breakfast quick and the food was mid. The pool and hot tub were closed for maintenance the whole time which sucked and they were doing construction on the main entrance so we were woken up every morning by the sounds of heavy equipment. The rooms were clean-ish but caprlets looked nasty and cocking around bathtub looks ild and decaying. The best thing was the staff for sure.

upon checking in we were unaware that construction was going on we came with 3 children and couldn’t even walk in the front door, very inconvenient for a family especially if we weren’t aware of this. secondly when we walked into the the lobby we noticed the pool was under maintenance also another thing we were not aware of at booking, we specifically picked a hotel with a working pool so we thought… for our children to enjoy. Spoke with representative on the phone beforehand asking about the pool which would’ve been the time to explain that it won’t be ready to use which they failed to do so. Walking into the room it had a very noticeable musty smell. lastly, on our last morning waking up to leave we received an invoice that was slided through our door that we are charged for parking, another thing we had no knowledge of upon checking in. Markings of marker drawn above bed and dirty glasses by the sink that were put there for us to rinse our mouths with.

VERY POOR service at the hotal. The first night we stayed there was NO HOT WATER. On the way down in the elevator to complain I spoke to other guests who'd been there a bit longer who told me they'd HAD NO ROOM SERVICE and their garbage in their room was starting to pile up, so that night they felt forced to just put it out in the hallway. After a brief conversation with the manager to complain about the lack of hot water he suggested we call expedia who we booked through to tell them about our issue and he would refund them to pass a partial refund on to us once they contacted him. He didn't respond to any attempts made by expedia to confirm our booking and process the refund. An absolute dump of a hotel. We travel a lot and this has to be up there as one of our worst experiences.

Free breakfast was great! The only thing I was not happy about was having to pay $100 upon arrival for incidentals, and I did not see anything about this when booking it and paying for it through Expedia. I am hoping this will be refunded…overall cleanliness was okay. There was a smeared booger on the treadmill and there were no wipes or anything in the fitness center. Room was clean, with normal hotel wear and tear. Room did not smell, shower worked well. Water was always available, all staff were super friendly, helpful and nice!
I enjoyed the room I had on the 6th floor, with a comfortable king bed and nice space. Would absolutely come back again when visiting Massachusetts!

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel. They assigned our room to another group, who let themselves into our room at 10pm while I was in the shower. There was an event at the hotel the first night, so there was bass keeping everyone awake until 2am. The second night, the hotel was evacuated at 3am due to a fire alarm. Our room was supposed to receive housekeeping services every other day, however, they never came once during our five day stay. I could go on and on about how bad this experience was.

Our room was the perfect size for our stay. However, the lack of cleaning was absolutely frustrating. Our room wasn’t cleaned one time our whole entire stay. We had to pick up our own towels and toilet paper the entire stay. We shouldn’t have to chase down necessities on a stay. We asked multiple times. They finally picked up our dirty towels that was a mountain on the third evening. While the room was great the cleaning was not.

I had a one king bed suite and it was clean, one outlet was burnt up, pool & hot tub out of service, poor lighting outside very hard to see from road until your passing it, the sign to tell you it was this driveway was very faded unable to read and the back light for the sign didn’t light up at all. They also charge you for parking in their lot on top of paying for you room. I won’t stay here again

As soon as we got in our room we found out our toilet was clogged. It wasn't until over an hour, 2 calls to the front desk, and 1 visit to the front desk that someone came up. She gave a plunger and told me to leave it outside the door when I'm done unclogging my toilet. The room had a \"dirty motel\" smell to it. Definitely needs an upgrade (Tub was rusted and the phone was filthy). The up side to the hotel is the breakfast in the morning. The location was also good (30 min drive to Boston and 20 mins to Salem). Stay here for the location but don't expect anything fancy.

It was clean and much cheaper than staying in Salem proper! Staff was friendly and helpful! Only like a 10-15 min drive to Salem I would recommend using Uber or Lyft while you’re there! Thank you for the great stay!
