Excellent hotel! Wonderful breakfast and quiet location away from the hustle and bustle BUT 5 minute walk to the Champs Elysees and within sight of the Arc de Triomphe. The Metro station is on the same street - ideal for getting around Paris and such a wonderful surprise. Will definitely go back when I visit Paris next. Staff is wonderful and they keep the main door locked after midnight to prevent intruders with a concierge manning the doors to ensure safety and unlock the doors for guests to come in and out. The lobby coffee maker is ideal at any time of the day. . .just a lovely wonderful hotel.

The perception that 4-star hotels in Paris often feel like 3-star properties is usually due to the lack of luxury amenities and the basic quality of services. While a 4-star hotel is expected to offer a higher level of comfort and service, this is not always the case. For example, rooms may be very basic, with limited furnishings, standard toiletries, and minimal room service options.

The pictures shown online do not reflect the reality of the room. The toiletries were extremely basic. Although the brand used was Rituals, it was shocking to discover that a Rituals amenities box (razor, shaving cream, sewing kit, cotton swabs) that we had used on the first night was thrown into the trash and then reused and refilled (yes, it was taken out of the trash).

During our stay, there was also a broken drinking glass in the bathroom, and the room was not properly cleaned—no vacuum cleaner was used.

Was it worth it? Not really. Perhaps only for the location.

I booked 2 nights, but I arrived 1 day late. I warned the hotel in advance but they did not want to change the booking to I paid the 1st night without being there. When I checked in, the bed sheets were not changed (hair, makeup stains on the pillows) so obviously someone had slept there the previous day. So I paid for a night during which I wasn't there, someone slept in my room and the bedsheets were dirty... Furthermore, one electric plug did not work, paint was scrapping off, and the room was tiny

The hotel was excellent. The staff were friendly and most willing to assist. Fabulous location close to Arch de Triumph and Champs Elysées. We took two rooms. My only small issue was the lack of drawers and/or shelves to lay out clothes for extended stay in one of the rooms.

I enjoyed my stay at this very boutique-y hotel. The staff was kind and helpful. The hotel is a block away from the Arc di Triomphe and metro station, which was nice. My particular room was small since I was a single traveler. The sink/shower combo in full view of everything was a bit odd, but it was ok. I missed having a place to set my toiletries near the sink. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. Comfortable bed and I appreciated the free breakfast.

The hotel is very small with no designated eating area/ lobby. The breakfast area with seats and tables you see on the pictures is served as a lobby, reception area, dining area. The room is small but nice and clean. It also offers an option for 3 people with separate twin bed which is great when traveling with children. Location is great, very convenient and close to metro station. One thing to be mindful of is the early check in when arriving on transatlantic flight early morning by local time. I can’t speak for everyone but our experience wasn’t the best. We arrived around 8:30 am, checked in and went across the street to have breakfast at a cute little cafe. Around 9-9:30 am we returned to hotel and were told that they were fully booked and no rooms are available but they will be ready by 3 pm which is the check in time. As I mentioned, there’s nowhere to really wait as the place is small so we sat at the table literally falling asleep as it was in the middle of the night at home. The check out time is 11 am so I waited until 11:30 to ask if room was available, then 12, then every half hour and the answer was no. Morgan, the young man who checked us in, said it would be ready by 3 pm for sure as if he was doing it on purpose making us wait until 3 while we were sleeping on the table. So I told him that a good hotel manager would have arranged with housekeeping to have our room ready first as we were only ones waiting. Only when I mentioned doing Expedia review I got keys

We booked a four night stay at this location and were very pleased. The hotel is located on a quiet street near multiple restaurants and bakeries. It is in walking distance to several sites. You can catch buses or subways nearby which is great. We did not have a car so we found this helpful. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. A perk I loved is the hotel offered complimentary coffee and water machines which you could access anytime. Only negative was the room was a bit small but was clean. I would still stay here again, thank you!!!

The hotel is ok it’s a very small building on a corner, doesn’t own a restaurant but there’s one in the corner next to it, the elevator took forever and they close at night have to wait for someone to open up. We didn’t appreciate the fact that they didn’t tell us about all the closures going on due to the final soccer match

Overall it was wonderful. The showers get very cold briefly anytime anyone in nearby hotel rooms flush a toilet. Also, the breakfast is not worth 16 euro. Especially when there is a great bakery and two fantastic cafe's nexd door and across the street. But, these are minor complaints for an otherwise beautiful old hotel. Pro tip: open your balcony window to take in the night air.

We are at the airport on our way home after a wonderful week in Paris! Thank you to the staff at the Elsa Hotel! The location is superb- within 5 minuets of the Arc D’Triump, two minutes to the closest metro! The hotel was very clean, quiet- fresh towels, crisp bedding and very comfortable beds. The cold refillable water in the basement was handy as well as the delicious morning cafe latte from the machine in the lobby. This hotel exceeded our expectations for our Paris stay! If the opportunity presents itself again and we return to Paris, we will stay with the Elsa Hotel!
