Great location, warm welcome and lovely historical building (with mod cons). Key hotel measures all scored well - comfy bed / great shower / enjoyable breakfast. Definitely worth a visit.

Super location close to the beach. the hotel is wonderful. breakfast area ..... sooooo pretty. The staff is so friendly. Very few parking places in the hotel. I went on a busy weekend parking was a pickle. other than that perfect stay. Such a great town!

I thought the staff was super accomodating and my room was great. I would have liked to have had a bathtub but those seem increasingly rare these days. I tried to have dinner out for my last evening and the front desk staff said they would make a reservation. The resturant was full (it was just for one person) and rather than help me or suggest other alternatives the staff simply said, \"Sorry, it is not possible.\" So I ordered room service. :( In hindsight, he should have, could have done more and I should have, could have asked. Surely there was an available restaurant for one single traveler for dinner somewhere in Dinard that evening. Instead, I stayed in my room.

We stayed at this hotel last time we were in Dinard a couple of years ago and we enjoyed it so much we returned. The hotel is in a fabulous historic building right by the beach and an easy walk into the town centre. The reception staff were very welcoming and so enthusiastic explaining the interesting history of the building and its past occupants. The room was excellent with loads of room and a beautifully appointed bathroom. Everything was clean and sparkling. Parking is in a separate building just a few steps for the main building. Dinard itself is just gorgeous... with a fabulous beach, lots of great little independent shops and restaurants.

Elegant hotel very near the beach. Each floor decorated with a different historic travel theme: India/Taj Mahal, cruise ship crossing, train excursion, air travel. Staff excellent; there was a power outage while we were there and they all coped and helped all of us deal with its effects.

The staff at Reception were all excellent, helpful and informative.
The Staff in the Restaurant at Breakfast were generally helpful.
The Room Stewards were efficient.
The Location was superb, close to many good restaurants and to the sandy beach,
The Porters were mostly helpful, apart from one incident where a porter dropped one of our bags breaking a glass bottle, spilling the contents and leaving broken glass in our clothing.

The one negative was the parking. Your website states free parking is available. This isn't totally true. It should state \"Limited free parking may be available\" I believe that there is dedicated off-street for about 12 vehicles (although I don't know if there is a charge for this). The capacity of the hotel is 47 rooms and most guests will come by car. Otherwise, free parking may be available on the streets, but we are competing with all other demands and often nothing is available at all. I understand there is a plan to build more rooms on the existing off-street car-park, which can only aggravate the situation..
Overall, I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to future guests.

Lovely hotel right by the beach. The staff were excellent. Room was a little on the small side. I was disappointed to learn that we should have pre booked their parking garage for our classic car so we had to park her on a side street as they were full. The area is safe though so all was well. We didn’t eat at the hotel but did have a drink in the bar which was very cosy. Loved Dinard as a destination.

Beautiful hotel in great location

Beautiful hotel right in the centre of Dinard. We had a ground floor room with a small terrace. Even though the terrace looked onto the street, we had privacy. There is no parking on site but we found free parking on the street about 100-200m away. We would definitely go back to this hotel.

The ultimate Dinard location - parking needs to be pre-arranged but is right next door. Front desk staff were most helpful, bar / breakfast staff a little stretched at busy times. Rooms are small, but comfortable and well appointed.

One lovely receptionist - going above and beyond. Young girl. Super helpful.

Bed so uncomfortable that it has caused a back ache that 2 nights later am still suffering
Front desk staff (with the exception of one - see Pros) consistently gruff and off hand and on one occasion very patronising.
Safe in room not working despite letting front desk know. Batteries needed replacing
No mini bar or fridge in room
No hospitality tray/tea & coffee making facilities in room
Breakfast overpriced for what was on offer - so we went out instead daily
No restaurant or café facilities in hotel
Raining and no hotel umbrellas to be borrowed

Great hotel in an excellent location! The only comment I have is related to the reaction of the reception assistant when noticing we have booked through Hotels.com - it is fairly unpleasant to be told that they prefer you don't use hotels.com given that the hotel appears on the website. Also the various benefits given via guidebooks are not applicable because of this - again something that was not mentioned anywhere.

Nice boutique hotel feel

Rooms are nicely decorated but tiny, we could barely fit our luggages that were far from oversized. Breakfast was nice and service was impeccable. This hotel is well located in Dinard. Parking and check in process were probably below what you would expect from an hotel of this category.

Great week end!

So lucky to have such a great weather to dicover this resort!
The hotel is located in the centre, has been redecorated in 2008 and up to a great standard.I recommand it for sure.

Staff impeccable and very helpful.
If you leave your car in their parking ( a bit expensive 17€/night), you have the surprise to find a nice note inside with some sweets...

Great all round hotel

The hotel is really comfortable, in a perfect spot in the middle of town but still quiet and the staff were just the friendliest I have ever come across. Breakfast was a buffet and all the food was really good quality and fresh. There is no restaurant in the hotel but several really good ones just a short walk away. The only thing to watch out for is that there is a notice behind the bedroom door saying that there is a charge for wifi when, in fact, it is free.

A happy find!

The welcome at the hotel was warm and friendly. The staff encouraged us to ask for their help. Every time we did so we were delighted with their helpfulness. They recommended very good reasonably priced restaurants, for instance. Our room was decorated in a colonial Indian style. This brings us to our only small complaint: The atmospheric lighting was not appropriate to reading.

We were in Dinard for their Festival of British films for the thirteenth time, but this was our first time at the Hotel Royal Emeraude. It is ideally situated for the Festival venues. It will be out hotel of choice from now on.

Very relaxing break. Hotel was excellent, the staff were very friendly and helpful and location perfect. The only negatives about the hotel were the rooms were very dark, even with the lamps on. A central light would have helped. Also tea and coffee facilities in the room would have been useful.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The staff were very attentive and helpful. Spoke good English. The location was really good for restaurants, walks and right opposite the beach. The room was decorated very stylishly and the bed was very comfortable. I would only have two small problems to mention and that is the room was quite dark and would have been better with a brighter light as they only provided three small bedside lights. There is only one English spoken TV channel and that was BBC World News. The car parking was expensive a night plus taxes which are high. We would definately choose to stay there again. Loved Dinard for variety and location to get about.

Having done a \"hip\" alike makeover, the rice charged is
not justified for this average hotel. As well the photo of the beach is totally inaccurate. This property isn't on the beach. Its up a hill with no view. Rooms are clean and modern but the bathroom set up is very uncomfortable for two people. Basically there is a window from the bedroom to the bathroom with only a very thin curtain which does not block the light coming from the bathroom nor the view. Nice try at being hip but this hotel doesn't make the grade to charge the prices it is charging.

This hotel is not on the beach as the photo on Hotels.com makes it appear. Rooms are up in town with no view. Its much too expensive for its location and the quality of rooms. It had a \"hip\" redo but isn't up to the price in any way. As well the town of Dinan is second rate to St Malo its next door neighbor. Reminds me of a town on the English coast which isn't the best. No restaurant to speak of and more a pub like atmosphere, not cool and hip. Its ok but for half the price.

Mercure Dinard Emeraude Hotel is in a central position, close to beach, shops and restaurants the hotel itself was very good above our expectations, the room was excellent, trendy clean and comfortable with a great shower room. The staff were very friendly, breakfast was good although we only had it once, cheaper to go for coffee and crossaints nearby. The parking was a bit hopeless but not impossible if you were patient and drove around a lot! Parking is available at the hotel but expensive and few spaces. I would stay here again and recommend to friends and relations.

Ils sont si rares ces hôtels que l’on quitte à regret. Ce sentiment d’avoir fait partie de la famille. C’est un endroit si chaleureux , si calme. Une atmosphère romantique qui vous transporte presque dans un autre temps. Il faut dire que la décoration, y est pour beaucoup. Trois étages avec des thèmes différents. Nous étions au premier étage, chambre 104. Très jolie Chambre avec un agencement bien raffiné. Lit confortable. la salle de bain avec tous les accessoires est superbe.
Le personnel est d’une gentillesse rare, toujours à l’écoute.
Toujours prêt à rendre service, vous aurez toutes les informations nécessaires pour passer un séjour d’exception grâce à la bienveillance du personnel.
Les petits déjeuners délicieux avec des produits du terroir, qui donnent envie de s’attarder à table…
Bref, vous l’aurez compris, nous avons été sous le charme de cet hôtel que nous recommandons chaudement. Il est évident que nous reviendrons ! pour être complet, si je devais leur trouver un point négatif, ce serait… le wi-fi qui n’est pas très stable…. Mais bon c’est un détail… merci encore à tous pour cet excellent séjour !

Ein charmantes Hotel in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Strand und der Altstadt. Der Küstenweg rund um die Bucht ist nur wenige Meter entfernt. Ideales Hotel für 2-5 Nächte. Sehr mondän und bretonisch- britisch. Leider sind die Zimmer klein.

L’hôtel se trouve à proximité d’un bar-restaurant avec de la musique très forte jusqu’à presque 1h du matin, sans compter les nuisances sonores de leurs clients.
L’hôtel se dit éco-responsable mais il n’y avait pas de bornes de recharge électrique contrairement à ce qui était précisé sur le site d’Hotels.com.

J’ai réservé avec mon chien, et j’ai dû déposer mes valises avant l’heure du check-in. Lorsque je suis revenue à l’hôtel à 19h, les valises étaient bien sûr dans la chambre et une surprise nous attendait pour lui. J’ai l’habitude d’aller dans des hôtels qui acceptent les animaux mais c’est la première fois que je bénéficie d’une telle attention. La qualité de service, la gentillesse des personnes à l’accueil et la relation clientèle de tout le staff sont remarquables. Bravo!
