Lovely hotel, no lift was a problem getting our cases to the 2nd floor, also, the beams in the roof were too low and not enough room to stand in the shower; also no kettle in room but free tea and coffee available in reception. Overall very clean and lovely beds and also very nice staff 🙂

Lovely Location

We stayed here for one night as a stopover. The location is fabulous offering views of the beautiful estuary. Plenty of parking, a nice bar/restaurant area and the rooms were spacious and comfortable (but could do with new carpet).
The staff were super friendly and helpful, put up with my terrible French and spoke very good English.
This is a very pretty seaside area and, as a bonus, the beautiful town of St Malo is just 10 minute drive away.

On arrival we were offerred a room on the 2nd Floor - we found this to be in he eaves of the building (sloping ceiling) which meant that the shower was set at about 1.70m max height - too low for comfort foran average sized man.

We exchanged rooms without out any problem for one on the First Floor (so we didn't have that problem to contend with) however once again the size of the bathroom (floor area) meant that I had to squeeze my back against the sink to enable the door to be opened.

The toilet is tight against the wall leaving little room for comfort or manoeuvre.

No a/c or fan on a hot evening in a small bedroom!

Friendly staff and lots of parking. Top room was under the roof/eaves (and unless you are very very short) it is very easy to knock your head on the ceiling ...same in the shower, makes it difficult to shower. Room not very big and looks out on the big road, very noisy.
24hour reception meant no fear of being unable to check in if the ferry was arriving late.
Overall, disappointing due to the room. Great breakfast and friendly staff .

1. Family room didnt have a window so was dark, dingy and hot.
2 Room hadn't been cleaned properly (bin was left full of used nappies)
3. Restaurant didn't serve evening meals and when we asked they said that we couldn't bring our own food onto the terrace to eat - we were told we would have to eat in our windowless family room that didnt have any table to eat at.
4. No restaurants within easy walking distance so the fact that the hotel restaurant doesnt serve evening meals is pretty rubbish.

No idea why other people have left ok ratings - they must have low standards.

Save yourself the disappointment and stay at another budget hotel.

It is extremely convenient to the ferry. The lady on reception was fantastic (I didn't get her name, dark hair, slim, not a local). She was very enthusiastic, gave great wine advice and some guidance re local eating places. My partner left her handbag in the sitting area at about 11:30 PM but next day it was safely at reception, thank you all. We were sad to find that the once excellent kitchen and superb sea food evening meal had gone ... frankly the memory of it some 2 years ago was a major factor in our booking here again. Breakfast was good but the evening offerings to microwave did look just a little better than having to order a takeaway. For tourists like us its a shame, you have a nice dining area and bar, great views across the sea ... this could possibly even be a destination for locals with such very good facilities. In time I do hope you consider bringing back your excellent kitchen. The staff we met on our stay are a credit to you and the lady on reception ... well if she was in England we'd have wanted to employ her!

I arrived early for check in, girl on reception was very pleasant and she managed to let me check in early and my room was ready. I really appreciated that.
Position overlooking the estuary is lovely, so a glass of wine on the veranda was perfect.
A clean and quiet room with a landline phone was also very restful.

Great location for St Malo port, 15 minutes to port (road improvements currently mean a diversion is in place which adds 10 minutes, but this is well signposted - allow extra time for this if you have an early sailing). Family room with direct access from car park - we could park right outside our room which was handy.
Room was very basic (no tea coffee, but this was free and available in the dining room). The room was very clean, good shower and a hairdryer, shampoo, soap provided.
Would stay again.

The hotel is a rare find, excellent facilities, pleasant friendly staff, bright clean decor. Room was very comfortable, bathroom was a slightly on the small size but adequate, breakfast was reasonable value with plenty of variety. Good parking, finding the hotel can prove a problem due to ongoing roadworks, however they have signposted the route, fortunately we had already read about the problems accessing it and chose an alternative route. Overall a very pleasant experience👍

Major roadworks make this hotel impossible to approach without significant detour that is poorly marked. Hotel staff are indifferent to the problems that this causes simply because they know their way around the backstreets. Rumour has it that the roadworks will continue until the end of 2018. Poorly situated hotel. Not one I would recommend.

The Hotel was located in plain sight, however roadworks meant following diversions which was not easy because they stopped after a couple of directions.
Once found, the Hotel was nicely located, wonderful views, great service and very pleasant staff. The one drawback - no drinks making facilities in the rooms, they were provided at reception free of charge, if you wanted to go there during the night say.
That aside, everything else was more than could be expected for the price paid and we would certainly return after having this first experience.
One more thing I should say, there wasn't a restaurant for evening meals. I believe this was because of the roadworks (going on for over a year we were told) and maybe there will be at a later date.
However, breakfast was very good and plentiful, with lots of choice on a help yourself basis.

We've been before and liked it, so we decided to come back. We spent £100 on one room for four, which was quite expensive. Two years ago it was £70ish, which is about right. The junction outside is being remodelled, so access us a bit tricky at the moment. We didn't have the breakfast today as we were on an early ferry, butbut we know from last time it's great.

We’ve just returned from a lovely short break to France.
Hotel Kyriad was a lovely place to stay. It was very reasonable in price, the rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff were really friendly and helpful.
We had dinner at the hotel on our first night and it was lovely, I recommend eating there!
We had breakfast each day at the hotel and the selection was brilliant.
I really recommend this hotel because it’s in a great location, there are bus stops very close by and it’s good value for money.

Arrived on a Sunday for a boat on the Monday from St Malo. Perfect location as only 15 mins to the port.
Only downside for us was that there is no food available on a Sunday. Not their fault as we should have asked. Restaurants close by though. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms comfotable.

Hotel close to the ferry port

The main reason for booking into the hotel was because of the location with respect to the ferry port at St Malo. This made it easy for us to get to the ferry in the morning. The staff were very helpful and overall the hotel room was clean, the only negative point was that the room did not have any windows and ventilation was not great so this made it very hot during the night so difficult to sleep.

Ticks all the boxes for an easy stay.

This hotel is about 10/15 mins walk from Dinard holiday area- restaurants, sea etc.
The ease of finding plus loads of parking is a big plus for the resort as parking is at a premium in the main tourist area. Hotel staff are completely fluent in English and extremely helpful. Breakfast is continental but of a high standard with all the usual creals/juices/ham/cheese/bread/croissants etc. However there are also hard and soft boiled eggs and pancakes. Notably there is food for babies which is unusual and sums up the thought that has been put into giving you a complete experience.
The bar is very good and there are nice views of the local seascape.
Altogether a great experience. We only overnighted after a long car journey, however we will be returning for a "proper" holiday very soon!

The rooms are clean and spacious however the ground floor rooms nave no windows to open, they don't have air con and get very hot. Also you can hear every movement through the ceiling from the restaurant and rooms above. If you want to sleep in your room you must get a second floor room, otherwise like me you won't sleep at all in the lower rooms.... X

Great location between Dinard & 20mins from St Malo ferry , easy to find. Hotel receptionist was beyond helpful, changed my room to lovely family one with singles instead of bunk beds, which, though had no view, was lovely & really comfortable beds with plenty of space. Shame we were there only 1 night as got a great nights sleep. No tea/coffee making facility in rooms but free downstairs when needed, everything else ideal, hairdryer in bathroom, lovely hot shower & loads of towels & toiletries available.
I hadn't realised to cross the Barrage to St Malo you have to time it right, as it closes to allow boats through & opens to cars on the hour, important advice again from the helpful receptionist that would've meant missing the ferry or hotel closing if timed wrong! I would definitely use the hotel again if in the area, approx 7-8 mins from Aquarium, hyper market & shopping mall on St Malo side & also Prieure beach at Dinard.

The room and facilities were actually very good, however, it was a far distance from ferry and rail station, equalling large taxi fares. WiFi very poor, cutting in and out. If not for location, or if you have your own car rental, it would be an excellent hotel.

Charming little hotel in beautiful surroundings

Nice modern room and bath, just very small. Rather bizarre that we were not allowed to eat in the room. Room faced the parking lot, so no view, but the area is quiet so we got a good sleep. We enjoyed walking down an adjoining road to a path along the estuary and the Barrage de la Rance.

The Hotel Kyriad we found was clean, modern with comfortable simply furnished rooms. It is located close to the River Rance and the views from the restaurant across the estuary would have been wonderful had they not had to close it on our nightstay due to the lack of a chef.

Nice hotel for 1 night stopover

I was travelling with my wife and two children and chose this hotel based on price and location. We were greeted by very friendly and helpful staff and our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It was ideal for our 1 night stopover on our way back to Cherbourg and was a short 5 min drive from the centre of the ramparts of St. Malo. We didn't eat at the hotel but the restaurant looked lovely and seemed popular. We would happily recomend this hotel for anyone visiting St. Malo.

Bathroom small in comparision but spotless will definatley stay there again on the way to ferry port. 10 minute drive to it if that. Staff friendly, breakfast lovelly buffet style but again didn't expect so much choice.

Very clean, comfortable with helpful staff.

The evening meal was uninspiring and expensive for what it was. Some aspects were very good, eg, aperitifs, mousseline of sweet potato, creme brulee, feuillete and frites, but the cod was dry and unpalatable and the pintadeau just acceptable. There is no lift, which is disappointing and the wifi wasn't functioning on the first day.

ONE NIGHT STAY PERFECT BEFORE GETTING THE FERRY. VERY GOOD MEAL IN RESTAURANT WITH VERANDAH OVERLOOKING ESTUARY
