Not so great:

no restaurant in the hotel/ nearby. We arrived late and had to drive into town to get some food. Position on the outskirts of the city, in vicinity of a large industrial/retail area - dependent on the car to get anywhere.

Bit difficult to find the hotel at first.
On arrival we were allocated a room on the second floor.
A lady that was servicing the rooms noticed that we had mobility difficulties, having prepared a room on the ground floor, she went to reception and organised the the re-allocation to us.
The room was clean and comfortable.
Buffet breakfast in the morning was excellent with a variety of choices.

A great one night stay before catching the ferry to the U.K. the next day. The hotel is in a very quiet setting, a short walk to a bus stop which takes you to the centre of St Malo. Rooms are spacious and breakfast was plentiful. Staff also friendly and helpful, would recommend and would stay again.

We stayed at Hôtel Oré for one night for our return trip to the UK via an early morning ferry. The hotel was situated on the outskirts of St. Malo in a quiet area and had plenty of parking.
It was a shame we couldn't stay longer to make the most of the hotel which looked really lovely. We had a quad room with one double and two single beds. The decor was tasteful, the room clean and spacious. The bathroom was also clean and roomy. The room was well sound proofed and we were aware of very little noise from other guests.
There were no restaurants in walking distance but we found something suitable a few minutes drive away.

Very Dissapointing staff. After personal request for room cleaning at 1pm, they never cleaned our room. But Main problem was careless attitude from staff afterwards. Manager never answer e mail. Reception people useless. Wonderful people and extremely beautiful region of Bretagne deserves to have better hotels than this one.

This is a nice hotel which has been carefully furnished and well decorated. It has a lovely airy reception which also doubles as a breakfast area. Rooms are spacious and beds comfortable. The staff were lovely and very helpfull. Parking on site.
The breakfast buffet was lovely.
It is out on its own with noting to eat or drink in walking distance. But it sies have a large retail park near by with chain options and a large supermarket and bakery. You can get the no 1 bus into St Malo from here. Its was £5.00 euro for 2 adults and a child and we paid via a rechargable card in the bus. The last few return busses leave town at 8.20 and 8.50 ish.
Its very near to the ferry port.

Excellent (outdoor, but private) car parking. Lots of space for \"real\" (touring) cars + luggage.

Excellent, professional and friendly staff. They offered lots of suggestions of what to see and do in and around St. Malo.

The room was excellent. Had a very retro aesthetic. Very comfortable. Very clean. Nice balcony.

Breakfast area was also really nice.

An excellent hotel, I would happily stay here again.

The rooms are very dated and need to be refurbished. Disappointing given the size of the rooms. Haven’t stayed in a hotel for a very long time that has the toilet separate from the bathroom.

Did the job near Saint-Male Port

Stayed at the hotel on our way back up to a ferry back to England from Saint-Malo. Booked for a night so that we were near the port the morning of the crossing.
The hotel was absolutely fine for our needs, we had a big family room which was very spacious with two double and two single beds - our 3 kids loved the room.
It's fairly basic but was clean and about half the price of other available hotels in/near Saint-Malo. Would stay again if doing a similar trip in future.
Reception were very helpful when asking about taxis in to Saint-Malo and nearby places to eat.
Took about 10/15 mins in the morning to reach the port.

Useful location for the port 10 min away, plenty of off street parking which is great if you have a car full of things. The receptionist was very friendly.
The pillows and bedding were very budget, with pillows like that its very hard to have a decent night sleep, luckily I had a couple in the car and after 2 hours of trying to get comfortable I swapped them. Room was Travelodge standard and a bit tired.

THERE IS NO LIFT. The claim on the Expedia page is NOT TRUE. If you booked the hotel BECAUSE of this, then you're out of luck.

There are exactly TWO powerpoints in the rooms, one on either side of the bed-head ... about 2.5 METERS from where the table where you'll want to put your Laptop is situated. Do you habitually carry a 3 meter extension cord?I don't

Nothing that would cause me not to recommend this hotel as a stop over but, there again, nothing that would lead me to suggest going out of ones way to stay here. It was clean and tidy, rooms had comfortable beds and staff were pleasant and helpful.

A Little gem in St Malo

Fantastic place for an overnight stop, Rooms are very spacious, very clean and very quiet. The hotel is on the edge of the commercial area of St Malo but in a \"Village\" environment but with easy access to the port. We will definitely use this hotel again.

Hotel Belem: strand me here anytime!

Loved this hotel. Room was huge and well furnished and the bath was a jacuzzi, which of course resulted in my children begging for a bath...!! The hotel is well decorated and looks really effective. Only niggles: bed was a little bowed in the middle, towels weren’t totally clean and the toilet paper machine seemed broken. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again though, I honestly loved it

Saw the hotel on line and it looked very nice. The reality was somewhat disappointing. It appears to be an older hotel that has been taken on by a chain and they have tried to breathe some life into it. It looks ok from the outside, but our room, although very large, was not particularly clean and didn't even have a kettle! Surely a kettle is a must for travellers!
I thought when looking at it on line it was good value for the money, but having stayed there, I'd say it was expensive for what you get!

One night stop then the ferry

Two motorcyclists. Car park is not secure. Room was spacious, we could have got our bikes in as well!! The bathroom could have done with some TLC but was functional with a multi jet shower system. The bar did not have draught beer, The restaurant lacked atmosphere, more like a works canteen. The dinner menu was recited to us and no price quoted but it turned out OK at €19 as we discovered on the bill next day. The hotel is a 1.2 mile walk to a large shopping centre. Carrefour and other shops/bars. Its about 15 minutes to ride/drive to the ferry port of St-Malo traffic can be congested and slow. Overall a decent place to stop.

We didn't end up staying here as our plans changed. We found out after we booked that we had to pay extra for bedding and towels as well as the weekly cleaning costs when we were only there for one night. This raised the price by more than $100Cdn. Our rate was non refundable so we had to pay when we didn't use the room.

Hotel easy to find with GPS and great parking. Kind welcome at check-in. Room is clean and has everything expected. With the car, we drove intra-muros in 5 minutes. The extra breakfast is great and convenient as near by you cannot walk to grab some breakfast easily. Staff are very kind and go out of their way to answer your questions and help you. Great affordable solution to stay in Saint-Malo. Recommended.

Superb overnight hotel

I have stayed here twice both 2011 and 2012 as its very convenient to stay the night before boarding ferry to UK next morning. The rooms are very spacious and the jacuzzi bath is a nice way to sooth those aches and pains away after a long drive thru France. I stayed here on Saturday and we had to laugh because the lady in reception was also the bar lady, cleaner and breakfast lady in the morning. She reminded us of he one member of staff in carry on abroad who was doing all the different jobs. We never saw any other staff apart from her. She was brillant very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Although there is no restaurant in the evening the bar was open and very pleasant. The buffet breakfast was lovely with cold meats, cheese, boiled eggs, rolls, croissants, youghurts, cereals, fruit, coffee, tea and juices. You could eat as much as you liked. This hotel was a little off the beaten track but if you have a car then its ideal. A little gem and very peaceful.

Assez mitigé : belle et grande chambre familiale (406) mais problème de mitigeur de douche qui donnait de l'eau soit brulante soit glacée qui a gaché le séjour... nous avons mal dormi a cause des oreillers trop épais, l'ideal serait den avoir un plat et un plus dense. Les petits dejeuners sont simples, beaucoup de surgelés avec des jus industriels.
Enfin l'hotel ne dispose pas dascenseur.

Excellent séjour à l'hôtel Oré (entièrement rénové) au personnel accueillant et que je recommande vivement pour les familles.
Nous avons été surclassés dans une chambre plus grande où le lit bébé demandé nous attendait. Encore merci!
Les chambres redécorées avec goût sont très bien asonorisées et la literie est de qualité.
À cause d'une contrainte, le personnel nous a laisser accéder au magnifique buffet du petit-déjeuner à 6h au lieu de 6h30 habituellement.
Nous reviendrons dans cet hotel à notre prochain passage dans la région.

L’hotel è fuori dal centro di Saint Malo, che dista più o meno 15 minuti in auto.
Ha un parcheggio in loco e anche davanti alla struttura.
Offre sauna e vasca finlandese di cui però non abbiamo usufruito.
Ottima la colazione con prodotti locali.
