I do look around at other spots every trip (you're a fool if you do not), but always land here even if it's a little more because it's not the final price, it's the final VALUE for your dollar that counts the most, and Beaufort Hotel delivers every time. I wish I had the income to not even think about it, but even though I do consider others, I have yet to actually stay anywhere else.

Good stay - parking needs improvement
This was a great hotel. Amenities were in good condition and the restaurant on site if good. The one snag I think is the parking situation. You can pay $15 a day for valet but to self park, you have to park offsite at an overflow lot for boat trailers.

I loved the beautiful property as well as dining options at the 34 degrees North Restaurant and the helpfulness of the staff. The only negative was that parking is $15 for valet or you have to take a 5 minute walk back and forth to your car which is much farther at the edge of their property and across another street.

There was some confusion with checkin. I was given room keys . The room was not ready. The second room the key did not work . After a third trip to the front desk I was given the correct room key for the correct room . I was told they were training a new front desk person . This is the first time I have had any issues with the hotel . The rest of our visit was great . The entire staff is very nice . So will definitely be back .

Staff was diffident, uninterested in helping guests arrive and depart, with one exception: a bouyant young female valet who tracked down a USB-C cable for me. Amazingly, if you don’t use valet parking ($15 a day), you have to park in an “event” lot some 400 meters away. There’s better places to stay…
Upon arrival, there was mold on the ceiling and the AC wasn’t working. I immediately called the front desk and they were able to switch rooms for us. I’m shocked that they didn’t know there was literal mold on the ceiling, and willingly put people in a room with mold and no AC? It wasn’t worth the money we paid. It was basically a glorified motel. For a “boutique hotel” you’d think they have higher cleanliness standards. You could get a better room and stay at a Hilton or Marriott. Wish they would pay attention to detail, as it was extremely distressing to walk in to that. We were there for a wedding and were very dissatisfied in the service provided. Not to mention we didn’t receive daily room service like they advertise. Trash lining the halls, empty glasses littering the floors, very musty smell. The pool was very outdated and there was trash laying around there too. Also some kind of weird rocks or flakes of something all around the pool, so it would stick to your feet and get on your lounge chair. I don’t know… seems a bit pricey for what we experienced. Very dissatisfied.

We had to change rooms as the TV didn't work. First the reception staff tried to fix it, then the engineer had to come out and he to take the TV off the wall. He got it to work but then we had issues shortly again after. They then changed our room but we got a room we didn't originally book. The dog fee at $60 per night is also excessive. Especially as I had to go and ask reception to go clean our room because by 3pm nothing had been done. At check out, I didn't even get asked how our stay was. It wasn't all bad, but it did leave a dent in our entire experience / long weekend in Beaufort.

Brochure says self park is over 200 yards (2 football fields) Hotel is not within walking distance from downtown Beaufort so you have to use valet to visit the town.Main hotel has nice water view but the Nextdoor annex not so much. Did not use restaurant/bar but they looked over the bay with good views. Will not use the hotel again as there are better options

The hotel is beautiful. The front desk is VERY slow; and only 1 person was ahead of us to check in. Made sure to just check out by calling the front desk and getting an email receipt.
Self parking for this hotel is not good. They have you walk out of the Hotel grounds and down the street to an Event Parking area where your vehicle is left in a dirt lot prime for vandalism or theft. Did not like this. There is no reason why guests couldn’t park where they park valet cars on property. It was just one night so we did it but this would defer us from staying here again.

Beautiful place . Recently stayed for our 16 year anniversary . Drinks at the hotel bar were great before we headed into town for dinner . Reserved the shuttle for 7 pm sat there till 715 when we saw the driver park the van and go inside . We didn’t have a timeline or reservation thankfully but the lady at the front desk didn’t seem too concerned. Also for the price the “guest parking” is extremely inconvenient . If you don’t use valet , be prepared to drag your luggage along side the road like a peasant a half mile from the dirt lot overflow of the boat ramp
