This hotel didn’t have a working shower, the solution offered was to walk into a public corridor and use another rooms bathroom. Checkout is 12. We got a rude knock at 11.45 to leave. Half drunk water in the room, telly not wired up. Awful experience and refused to refund. Poor. Avoid this hotel

The hotel was a nice sized room - very spacious family room with two single beds and a large bed - perfect for a family of four. Easy to walk to the centre within the walls, about a 15 min nice walk along the sea front. Plenty of parking near the centre if you wanted to drive in. The hotel had parking- we booked a space in advance. Would stay again.

Strongly recommended!

This location is amazing, it’s we’ll situated right on the beach. The hotel has a nice restaurant and terrace right on the beach walkway. The rooms are clean, the service is above and beyond. Also saint Malo is a super nice, clean and relaxing city, the beach is huge and the sunsets are like no others.

Beautifully situated hotel close to beach

The hotel is a little shabby but clean and comfortable. The staff are charming and helpful. The view from our window onto the beach was superb and it was a huge plus to be able walk out of the hotel onto the promenade. We didn’t make use of the restaurant in the evenings but did once eat lunch on the terrace which was most enjoyable.
We certainly intend to stay again for a short break.

Wife and my 2 kids spend 2 nights. Wonderful staff, parking was right at the hotel, has a lift. The beach is quite nice and a 20-30 minute walk for the main city. Rooms very well kept and spacious. Restaurant had some great food and nice breakfast. Would go back for sure.

Should be a three-star hotel

When I booked this hotel I had looked at many 3- and 4-star hotels and after my stay was surprised that this is rated 4 stars. Nothing horrible to say about the place, but it struck me as more of a 3-star kind of place. The location is outstanding, right on the beach. My room was small but adorable with a small balcony. The bathtub was raised and ceiling low so a 6-ft person would probably hit the ceiling. Handheld shower had no wall fixture to hang on to make it into a regular shower so one hand was always needed to hold the shower head. Wifi was extremely spotty and cut out every 2-3 minutes which was beyond frustrating. It worked perfectly in the dining room. Parking lot adjacent to the hotel was a great plus and otherwise the hotel was fine. Would probably not stay there again.

Our room was very good. Balcony with Sea View. Hotel was very good. However, breakfast was very poor value and over priced. In fact we choose to have breakfast at a nearby hotel on the second day. It was 5 euros cheaper and better. In Brest we stayed in Escale Oceana and breakfast was 8 euros and by far the best.

We reserved an ocean view room that the ocean view Windows didn't open on! Only to be told by the concierge that someone would be Up to help. Help never came. After calling three times, we were move to an identical room above with working Windows. The concierge knew the Windows didn't work by never sending anyone and telling us they didn't have the part to fix it! And he was argumentative about it. (Thank you Christianne for the remedy suggestion). Then the same idiot (Marcos) recommended we walk to our restaurant (a mile) for dinner since parking would be an issue. Tons of parking.
Plus- shampoo and conditioner were on back order. Breakfast was so-so. And despite the ample \"free- wifi\" signage, you guessed it- nada, nill, none! If you're determined to stay at a decidedly substandard hotel manned by Marco the incompetent malcontent, then God help you!

Generally the hotel and restaurant are excellent. Luck averted real difficulties:-
The lift was out of action and no one offered to help us with luggage - lucky we were on the first floor with not too many stairs.
We were lucky to secure the last car park space.

Nice view & room let down by meaness of facilites

We booked this hotel for a stay around New Year as we love St.Malo. The hotel was not easy to find. The staff were all pleasant but the room was poor. It had a great view but the bathroom was poky, and there was no soap or products - just fixed liquid soap dispensers. the room key didn't seem to work on the side doors so we had to go through the main entrance. There were lots of little irritating things which were inconsistent with the four-star hotel when the price they charge. From example – cheap nasty toilet paper, no milk with the tea and coffee, the breakfast was absurdly expensive, but a flannel and free shaving kit was said to be available at reception, but they didn't have any flannels. The shaving kit was so cheap and nasty it was not the worth using. There was a complimentary bottle of water on the day of arrival, but not thereafter.

Hotel by the seaside

This an overnight stay after arriving late on the ferry.
I chose it as it was close to the main town, had parking and looked easy to get to. In reality it was difficult to find as it is in a small back street which is one way, and the map on the site does not clearly show this.
The hotel is in good condition, but the room i had was very small, without a sea view, and consideing the price i paid for this time of the year, i felt it was expensive. Parking was also 12e a night - expensive.
Not sure i would stay here again

Perfect stopover

We were catching an early ferry and booked a family room for an overnight stay. The room was very clean and very comfortable.
We walked into the 'Intra-Muros' (walled city), which took about 25 minutes. I would have to contradict an earlier review that said the walk was through an industrial estate. That was a possibility, but we walked along the picturesque sea front, stopping for a coffee on the way, and taking in the views.
The view from the hotel restaurant and bar was stunning, although the food was not cheap. We ate whilst out on our walk, as we had a young child with us and wanted to eat earlier.

Vue magnifique sur la plage et la mer, on a pris cet hôtel uniquement pour cela. La chambre a été partiellement rénové récemment avec une salle de bain et toilettes très récent.
L'accueil est bien.
On a l'habitude des 4* et là l'hôtel n'est pas à la hauteur.
Points négatifs :
-Parking payant (15€/nuit) -> trouvez vous une place gratuite autour de l'hôtel plutôt. Quartier calme
-Hôtel vieillissant et le restaurant de l'hôtel ne donne pas envie.
-Un peu loin d'intramuros, il faut bien 30 min de marche. Donc quand il fait beau et bon, c'est ok mais l'hiver, pas ouf.

Petit hotel très bien placé devant la mer, un peu loin du centre (on marche !) dommage que les prestations n’allaient pas avec. Covid peut être mais certainement pas digne d'un quatre étoiles. Réception très sympathique.

早めの到着時や、出発が遅かった為、荷物を預かってもらいましたが、とても受付の対応が良かったです。

Hôtel bien situé mais exigüe pour un 4 étoiles

Bel hôtel situé face à la plage, chambre un peu étroite malgré un bow Windows avec une très belle vue sur la mer mais la décoration est très vieillotte ! Un mobilier abîmé et taché.Les prestations ne sont pas à la hauteur d’un 4 étoile : une bouilloire cabossée avec 1 sachet de café soluble et 1 sachet de deca en guise de plateau courtoisie !!! Le buffet répétitif du petit déjeuner est juste acceptable facturé à 17€ pour des œufs brouillés , saucisses et bacons « froids » !!! le parking est très exiguë et exige des manœuvres pour se garer. L’accueil et la gentillesse du personnel est appréciable pour nous permettre de passer un bon séjour

Camera familiare quattro letti sufficientemente ampia con vista spettacolare sulla spiaggia antistante. Bagno troppo piccolo. Ristorante dell'albergo molto buono. Ottima la posizione: praticamente sulla spiaggia; non distante dal centro raggiungibile a piedi in circa 15-20 minuti. Struttura un po' datata migliorabile

Tolles Hotel mit einer super Lage - überteuert

Das Zimmer mit dem Seeblick war top.... Im Erker sitzt man bei weit geöffnetem Fenster wie auf einem Balkon, nur viel geschützter. Allerdings bezahlt man dafür leider einen viel zu hohen Preis. Auch die Zusatzgebühren für das Parken ( 12€ pro Tag) und das Frühstück ( 17€ pro Person) sind sehr hoch.
