The location was close to the train station which fit our needs. The bathroom door did not shut and we had problems with inconsistent electricity. They told us we should not have plugged in our computer. We thought breakfast was included but it was not. It could use a facelift. However, the bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

The staff was very friendly. The room was dingy and had a weird smell. There was a pile of smelly blankets in the closet. We got housekeeping - they cleaned the room and left the bed unmade. They ask you to put your towel on the floor if you want it replaced. We did not leave it on the floor, but it still was replaced which was wasteful. Paperthin walls - we could hear our neighbour snoring.
Location was great, very central. Good value for breakfast. 3 flights of stairs to get to our room.

Good station hotel 5 mins walk from the platform.

A great location for a stay before a morning train, (with a good bakery right beside it!). A comfortable room for our family with 2 adult children.
It was fiercely hot and humid in Toulouse and unfortunately we found the remote control for the AC very confusing and were unable to cool the room effectively.

Check in started at 2pm and if one arrived early, one has to leave the luggage in the storing area.
The room is doable, it’s small with 1 small table and 1 stool placed at the corner. The only drawback are the noises cranking from the ac/heat system, it runs every 5 minutes. I forgot to point out the molds on the wall behind the curtain.
Location very convenient to walk around the area.

Short stay arriving by train so this hotel is great as it's a very short walk from the station. Very friendly staff at check in and at breakfast. Room was great for the price paid, obviously some city noise due to central location but nothing dramatic. Everything was clean and functional, I slept well and left feeling refreshed 🙂

A great little good value hotel for a weekend break. The staff are so friendly the location is great for transport links and a 10 minute walk into the centre of Toulouse. The rooms can be a little smalll (some) and the decor a little dated but its cheap and who spends all day in their hotel room? Also the air-con is a god send on hot days.

Room as expected in this price range. Small and tired which we have no qualms about as it was a quick stopover on our way elsewhere.

BUT. The night club until the early hours of the morning immediately below our bed was both relentless and unwelcome.

No mention of this by Hotel staff, Hotels.com description or in any public reviews.

This property is about as basic as anyone can get. Lino on the floor in the bedroom, no working heating, cold water only during the day. The owners are very tight with money. One sachet of hairwash per day and the smallest bar of cheap soap. No bath plug, no sink plug, very old, tired looking bedding and filthy room with accumulated dust on the horrible light fitting. Walls were filthy and rough, light fitting had wires sticking out of it. There were no tea/coffee making facilities and i had to use the same paper cup for 2 days stay. The owners are disgraceful in their penny-pinching, old fashioned B&B style accomodation. I qas freezing at night and could hardly sleep.

An unxpected pleasant outcome

Honesty, my stay was amazing . I believe i got a great deal for what i paid . My room was on the 3rd floor it was surprisingly clam . Even though i could hear my neighbor in their room i was lucky that he/ she was rather calm . The bathrooms were clean which is a major plus . The hotel is also close to everything by foot which is nice too. The only thing that i think could be improved is less dust on the bed sheets ! Oh and i love that their was an Ac ! Finally, their service is genuinely amazing ,the staff are super super friendly . Loved my stay and i would definitely reserve again .

The property is very good location for bus and train transport as it is only walking distance away, the property is not advsable if you have problems going up the stairs as there is no lift. The carpet and curtains in our room need upgrading.

The bunk bed is very squeaky and there is virtually no room to walk if there is family of 5 sharing the room. That said, the hotel is conveniently located a 5 minute walk from the trainstation and less than a 10 minute walk from some of the top sites in Toulouse.

The staff were very nice and welcoming at the hotel, and were happy to help. I liked the breakfast, it was self-service so we could help ourselves, the range was good and all the foos was nice. The hazelnut coffee available from the machine was delicious!
The hotel was good value for money, great location for transport links and for being close to the city centre. One thing to be aware of is that there is no lift and so guests must use stairs to reach the reception desk and the bedrooms, so maybe not suitable for less mobile guests.

Convenient Location, Not So Convenient Interior

- Poor interior, dated and very worn out decor and not so great furniture in units
- No lift / elevator and a fair bit of stairs

The hotel appears not to been renovated in quite a while and the decor is questionable at best. I'm no interior designer but this place has kind of a WTFesque style to it. The room we had would not be considered spacious (bunk beds plus two singles) but was adequate just for a place to sleep (not good to have breakfast in as there were no chairs or even a decent table). Also, there is no fridge in these rooms.

The biggest issue is really the lack of a lift or elevator, which makes this hotel a poor choice for older people, people with mobility issues or families with small children and strollers.

As like many European cities, this hotel is near the rail station, an area that typically attracts less desirable elements of society (public urination, prostitutes)

Wifi in the room was amazing and fast - uncommon in my experience in hotels, so this was a happy bonus. Room is ordinary, a bit small but fine for a base. The hotel is central enough that you can more or less walk everywhere, which was great. Only 25mins to the airport incl some wait time. Staff at the front desk were helpful and they let us leave bags there securely whilst we were out for the day (had checked out by this stage). Overall not flashy, but does what it says on the tin.

The hotel receptionist, Judith, could not have been more helpful, friendly and hard working! The breakfast was simple but fresh, plentiful, varied and tasty and again managed by Judith.

If you just want a base to sleep with a decent breakfast and helpful staff and you can managed all the stairs, then this is the one for you.

This hotel is a very short walk from the Gare Matabiau and about ten minutes walk from the Place Capitole and many restaurants and bars. The rooms are comfortable and clean while the service is efficient and personable. Breakfast is great value. Ideal for a short stay in Toulouse especially if using the train.

A couple of blocks from train station.

Hotel should emphasize that it is a couple of blocks to train station, and a few more in the opposite direction to an interesting area. Those who enjoy walking or saving taxi money would appreciate the information. In 40 days of travel in France, Spain, and Portugal this is the most expensive $69 and least comfortable stay. Cost should be $40.

This hotel is so easy to find, just a minutes walk from the main train station (the area is rather scruffy). It was full when I turned up so they must be doing something right. The staff were helpful and offered luggage storage. The stairwell to the rooms (no lift) is a bit tired and I was worried about noise but no problems there.

I have stayed in this hotel several times. The location is convenient, near the station but within easy walking distance to the town centre. The staff are obliging and friendly and the breakfast is good. However, because the rooms are small and close together and the walls are very thin, if you have inconsiderate guests next door, as I had this time, you will not get any sleep.

The front desk speaks perfect English and was super helpful about everything! The hotel is not right downtown, but it's definitely within walking distance of all the major attractions, as well as the metro and buses. Our room was air-conditioned and very, very clean. We had absolutely no complaints about anything other than there only being two outlets (but we just dealt with that). It was super cheap and definitely worth the price, but I was glad we made reservations way ahead of time because they were fully booked.

Great hotel if you are traveling on a budget but don't want to sacrifice location. Conveniently near the train station which also has buses to airport. easy walk to Capitol and St. Sernin's basilica. The staff was so helpful when our flight was cancelled and connected us to the local airlines. Nice breakfast served, better for price and quality than you will find in most cafes in the area.

FIVE STAR SERVICE IN A TWO STAR HOTEL!

The rooms are very clean, beds very comfy and showers (there is also a tub) hot! Service is excellent, and a warm and friendly welcome is provided. Local information is given with enthusiasm. Continental breakfast (modest extra charge) is extremely generous and there is plenty of variety. The hotel is in a seedy area as one might expect opposite the railway station, but also extremely convenient if taking a train! It is a mere 8 minute walk from the city centre, main places of interest, shops and good restaurants (also plenty of these nearby). There is no lift, but it is well worth climbing the stairs to get here!!!!

We visited Toulouse only to catch a flight home the next day so we only visited the city for a few hours in the afternoon. The hotel is near the train station so we were not expecting great surroundings.However we were quite put off by the situation when we got there.It was much worse than train station areas in other cities we have visited and the state of the streets was unacceptable. There were a large number of dubious people drinking on street corners and the sidewalks were covered in dog feces. We walked down towards the Garonne river and the more touristy ares and these things improved but the city left us with a bad impression- dirty, polluted and not all that. Interesting. The hotel was fine ,for its rating, and the reception was pleasant , friendly and helpful but Toulouse won't attract us back

The hotel was cheap, and great for a late arrival at the station. It's so close to walk, just across the road. Having said that we had to wander up and down the road looking for it as it's not clearly signed and building numbers were difficult to find. The room was very basic, narrow, just enough room for the bed and passage past. The walls were incredibly thin and we were kept away by a roomfull of youngsters next door. The staff were sweet when we called about it and asked the youngsters to be quiet, but it was difficult not to hear any kind of conversation. It's a cheap, convenient for station and clean hotel with nice staff, but very basic and i would not stay there for anything other than 1 night for convenience to station.
