I enjoyed my stay here!

Positives: friendly and helpful staff. Super close to train stations. Close to tourist sites such as kitchen street and sensoji. Can easily get to other parts of Tokyo. Bed was comfy! Balcony was a nice perk.

Negatives: a bit outdated but no real issues. Mostly clean aside from marks on walls, wear and tear? Room was quite small but had storage under bed for luggage.

Overall perfect for what I needed and would be good for other solo travellers.

(Felt safe alone as a female).

Location of hotel is convenient and close to the train station. AC worked very well and made it feel very comfortable in the hotel after a long and hot day. Hotel staff were always very friendly and welcoming. This time, our hotel room had dark liquid splash marks on the wall. Toilet was a little faulty and the bidet/shower function did not always work.

Close to the train station. Staff are friendly & accommodating. Amenities are great including washing/drying in the basement. Rooms have everything albeit small. Rubbish/recycling daily by 10am. Across the road from Aeon minimart and less than 5mins from other conbinis. Close to alot of restaurants including a Maccas. Would stay here again for it's convenience. Hopefully they upgrade the lift by then.

It was a nice cozy, clean,
Friendly staff. Absolutely enjoyed the location, which was not too far from the Ueno station but still able to avoid the major hustle and bustle of the station area. Another highlight for us was that it’s only about a block away from the Kappabashi-Dori (kitchenware street)!
With the cleanliness and ease of check-in & check-out. I would stay here again!

I enjoyed my stay here. It was a little cramped to what I am used to here in America but I will definitely come back again. You will not get anywhere close to a facility like this in the US for the price. I just got to say this was a pleasant stay. I would recommend if only your average size. Big size Americans please look elsewhere.

The staff is great!
The room is a little small so it is hard to move around. I was in 701 i recommend something different because it is close to the stairs and you can hear people coming and going. The location is so close to the subway and the area just feels safe. The staff will provide you with cooking items if you request it. Get your food at the family mart down the street, the staff there is also very kind. They do not clean/turn down the room everyday you must request it. There was mold in the bathroom and around the sink area there was also dust located in the speaker and around the AC. There was also construction going on so sleeping in is not a thing, but I'm sure once it is done you will be fine. The staff will give you an umbrella if it is raining. Overall i would go back to this hotel, having such a welcoming staff and a washer & dryer in the hotel area was wonderful. The building will lock up at 11pm so you will need a code to get back inside the hotel which was another thing i really liked.

Friendly & helpful staff that allow me to keep my big luggage in their store for a few days when I was out in other prefectures. When I returned, they welcome me back to stay with them for another night. Room was clean & tidy, everything that you needed in the room was catered for. Great & Friendly Hotel Staff w/ Nice & Clean Room!

Nice and cosy hotel with clean room and up-to-date amenities. Everything that you needed for were already in the room without having to ask at the reception counter. Friendly staff even though we have checked out from the hotel, the staff allowed us to keep our big luggage for few days as we explore other prefectures and return to collect them after that without any charge! Of course we stayed there for another night. Walkable distance to major tourist attractions, convenient location too! I would like to recommend this hotel to many people out there!

Great location and value for money. However, no cleaning service and very thin walls. The patio door doesn't block out any noise from the main road and the building works outside. The other hotel guests were very noisy and kept us awake. No staff after 10pm so unable to complain. Washing facility on toilet didn't work and the room is a little run down. Overall it was fine for a three night stay but could be better.

I think the room was decently clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable. However my stay was really negative due to the building works next door that occurred every morning I was there. I feel the hotel should’ve made this disclaimer before anyone booked there. Also, this hotel was near the metro but a decent 15m walk to the ueno station which is fairly annoying when you have a few luggage bags.

I don't know why this place doesn't have higher ratings - it was our second stay and we again found it excellent. Fantastic location - equidistant between Asakusa and Ueno, in an area with lots of great little restaurants. Apartment has everything you might need, and everything works well. Comfy bed. Little balcony. Lots of counter space around the mirror and kitchen areas. Kitchen equipment if you want to cook. Staff really friendly and speak excellent English.

You can take the Skyliner from Narita Airport which is what we did, straight to Ueno Station. It's about a 10-15 minute walk from Ueno Station to the hotel. If you have a lot of stuff, in Ueno Station you can also transfer to the Tokyo Ginza subway line and get off at Inaricho which is one stop away. The hotel is then about a 5 minute walk away. The hotel is located in a more suburban area and you can see the hotel as you walk down the main street from the station.

The room is tiny compared to western standards but was just fine for us. The hotel is 9 floors and they are a eco-friendly hotel so they don't change linens and towels. We had a full size bed and private bathroom. There was also a little fridge, a sink, hot plate and a hot water maker in our room.

There are several convenient stores nearby to stock your little fridge.

I love that Japanese hotels provide shampoo, conditioner and body wash in their hotel rooms. Tooth brushes and razors are also provided in the room. There also had a grab and go area in the lobby for tea bags, shower caps, lotion, etc.
The hotel provides wifi, which is decent but not high speed. The hotel also does have breakfast.

Oh and I forgot the best part, it's a non-smoking hotel.

The front desk is not 24 hours. They open at 8am and close at 10pm so make sure you check in by then. If you go out, you'll need the security code from the front desk to let you in the hotel.

Stayed for 3 nights. Decent location with accessible subway stations within walking distance. Staff conversed comfortably in English and they were very friendly and accommodating; we mentioned in our reservation that we would be arriving early in the morning and despite it being a few hours before the designated check-in time, they informed us that our room was ready and we could check-in right away. The room was a little on the small side and there was barely space for two people to walk around once the luggage was put into the room. Aside from being a little cramped, we had no complaints.

Hotel is about 2 to 5mins walk, depending on how fast u walk, from Inaricho (Ginza Line, G17). Inarich station is 1 station away from Ueno station (G16). It is convenient to travel to & from Narital Airport.

Compared to the Ikebukuro branch, the location of this branch is further from convenient JR stations - it's about 15mins walk to Ueno station, which can be hard if you have big luggages with you. The decor in the room was OK, not as modern as the Ikebukuro branch, but all the essentials are there.
Convenient enough if you want to explore Ueno and Akiba or other neighbouring areas, but a little too far if you want to go to Shibuya/Ikebukuro/Harajuku (takes about 25mins on Yamanote line)
One thing to bear in mind is, if you do use the laundry room in the basement, do not mistake the 'all you can watch tv card machine' with a coin exchange machine. It was put in the basement right next to all the washing machines and tumble dryers, so you can easily mistaken it when you fine you don't have enough 100yen coins.

Mystays Ueno Inaricho hotel is just less than 10 minutes walking distance (shorter time if you do not carry luggages) from Inaricho Station and it is located on a quiet street especially in night. Hotel staffs able to speak fluent English and also very friendly, clear explanation was given before we check in. They do not provide room cleaning in case we stayed for more than 1 night.

Good for solo travellers, looking for independence

This hotel is good if you're looking for no frills no fuss accommodation, I like to be left alone so this was great for me, the front desk are there if you need them though. I found the staff very helpful as they were able to look things up, make calls to restaurants, book my taxi to the airport etc. There are area maps available and rentable portable wifi that you get from reception and just leave at front desk when you go. This is more like self catering flats, they have everything you need eg, fridge, shower/bath, television, air on and comfy bed. You clean the room yourself, reception will supply clean sheets, Hoover, cooking equipment etc. The rooms are not fancy though and they are not the cleanest however they're not disgusting. Good location for Asakusa, Tokyo skytree, ueno park and I think excellent train links.subway 2 minute walk,main station about 10 mins or less but you could get the subway to the station if you wanted. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby, convenience shops, great tea and tea ware shops. Five minute walk to Kappabashi kitchen street. I've heard ueno gets a bad rep for safety but I felt safe alone as a woman even at night though I always stayed the \"hotel side\" of the area, the other side closer to the park has a different feel to it near the market.

This hotel has no housekeeping, but it wasn't any problem for me. Bedsheets, pillowcases and towels could be exchanged any time at the front desk. With that, nobody would enter my room and I thought I felt safe. The staff were also very friendly and they made my stay enjoyable!

We stayed for 6 nights to properly explore northeast, central and southern Tokyo. The hotel room was small as expected but clean, comfortable and quiet if you unplug the fridge. It is located along the Ginza line (Inaricho station) and within easy reach of restaurants and convenient stores for those that like bento box meals when on the go. There is a coin operated laundry which was most handy. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful.

Overall, the service of the hotel was ok, though we didn't have room service. My only complain would be that we had a hard time at night since the bed size was too small for us. The same applies to the bathroom, I'm 5 feet 10 and I could barely fit in the shower. Other than that the staff was always friendly and helpful.

Hotel is just two blocks from main street Asakusa Dori, around 2-3 minutes walking to closest metro station Inaricho (Ginza Line) and around 7-10 minutes to Ueno Station which can take you to Narita Airport. There are a couple of good restaurants near by and tourist attractions like Ueno Park (beautiful in cherry blossom season), Ameyoko shopping street and Asakusa shrine. Using the metro you can get with ease to Ginza and Akihabara very quickly. Although the room is very small and there's no cleaning service I'd recommend this hotel sincr it has all that you need, room has microwave, fridge, sink, tv, wifi, and even a few cooking tools. Bathroom is also a but small but water comes out hot and is american style. Staff is pretty friendly too and english speaking, you can ask them for clean towels, etc. There's also a laundry room (coin operated) and a vending machine inside the hotel (it also has beers).

The location of the place is very close to Metro Ginza Station (5 mins or less walk, Exit 3) and from JR Ueno is about 3 blocks away. I suggest you to take the Metro Ginza exit if you have luggage with you as the walk will be easier.

The room I got was the semi-double, it was quite small, and smaller than the room they have at Hotel Mystays Otemae, but still good for 2 people, mostly Asians. Check in was quick and hassle free. If you need to check out in the middle of the night, they have a small box outside the reception and you can just drop your key over there, how convenient!

I'm happy to get the service and the room for the price I paid. Just don't expect too much, if you want housekeeping, this is not the place for you.

Thank you for the card that was on my luggage! I just noticed it when I left already. So I'm not sure if this was from Hotel Mystays Otemae or Ueno Inaricho :)

This is a good hotel to stay at for travellers looking for a quiet location and easy access to the train stations. Rooms are small compared to North American standards but livable. Laundry machines are in the basement level and can only be accessed by stairs. Laundry machines are also smaller in size compared to North American standards. A full load is about 4 outfits. Vending machine for powdered bleach and soap is ¥100. Laundry machine requires ¥200. Dryer is ¥100/15 mins. Internet is fast. Pleasant experience. We would stay there again.

Great value for your money. This is a no frills hotel but all basic amenities are there. A 5-minute walk to the nearest subway station (Inaricho stn.), 20 minutes to Ueno station which is a busy train interchange. There's also a 24-hour supermarket which is just 5 minutes away. The neighborhood around the hotel is very peaceful but just across Ueno station is a bustling shopping area where you can find anything from souvenirs, clothes, shoes, to restaurants. Can be easily accessed from Narita aiport by Keisei Skyliner or JR line. My only qualm about the hotel is there's no housekeeping. You need to take your trash outside your door. Towels can be changed but you need to get it from the front desk. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay very much. The staff were very helpful and spoke good English. Will definitely stay there again.

While the rooms are tiny (you can pretend you are on a ship), they have all the basics amenities that you would need - kitchen sink, kitchen basics, iron, TV, desk, etc. It was a clean, comfortable place to lay our heads. For a stay in Tokyo, you can't be a the price, especially for such a good location (steps from the subway and walking distance to Ueno, a main shopping and transit hub).

Staff was very helpful, money's worth and better than more expensive hotel. Basic hotel you get all you need nothing fancy! Highly recommendable specially for people on a budget!

5mins walk from hotel to railway station,easy transportation for most of famous sight seeing in tokyo. hotel staff is helpful, and some can speak fluent English,Taiwanese and chinese.

This is a Japanese style hotel - very small; the bed and the bath; you can barely fit two Americans. But you can't beat the price and the location.

Very nice staff; all staff are hospitality, they help me a lot when I ask or request anything such as the way to go to starbuck at ueno, how to go to narita airport in difference ways. When I buy food from superket I can borrow bowl or dish from them
High speed internet; I can use wi-fi in my room without any problem, the hotel also offer LAN
Various facilities; Unbelievable, there are microwave, electronic stove and kettle in my room they offer these things beyond business hotel
Not far from the station; just 5 mins walk
Important thing is the price is not expensive in a good location you can go to ueno or asakusa just next station.
Although no housekeeper clean in the room during you stay, You can request the new things that you want from the staff.
Overall I think this hotel is very excellent.

Good service

The hotel is only 5 mins walk from the Inaricho metro station and is quite convenient to transfer and to go other Tokyo areas.The room is rather small but that's expected in Tokyo and for the price you paid for.The quality of service from the front staff Ms Fumi is excellent. She has helped us to book n reserved my day tour to Mt Fuji.I will certainly stay in this hotel if I visit Tokyo again.
