Great Location Near Ueno Station
The location of this hotel was fantastic—just a 3-minute walk to Ueno Station, which made getting around Tokyo so easy. I also loved that it’s close to Ueno Zoo and the park, which was perfect for a relaxing afternoon stroll. While the hotel itself is a bit dated and the rooms are on the smaller side, it had everything I needed for a short stay. The in-room fridge and kettle were convenient, and there are plenty of convenience stores nearby. I would definitely stay here again for the unbeatable location.

I stayed at this property recently and found it to be incredibly convenient—especially since I had to take the train multiple times. It’s very close to both Ueno Station and Keisei Ueno Station, which made getting around Tokyo much easier.

That said, the property could use a bit more maintenance. The lobby wasn’t quite what I expected—it felt a little cluttered, mostly due to the large amount of luggage being stored there for guests. It didn’t feel as welcoming as it could have.

The staff, however, were amazing as always. Everyone was kind, helpful, and courteous, which made a big difference in the overall experience.

The rooms were very small, but they had everything I needed for a short stay. Some of the furniture felt a bit outdated, and the carpet definitely could use some attention—it didn’t feel like the cleanest.

Overall, while the hotel has some areas that could be improved, the location and the wonderful staff made it a convenient and decent choice for a quick trip.

Had room 610...quiet. Room was at rear, view of a wall 4 metres away..but thats ok, aided to the quietness. Clean, with room to swing 1/2 a cat. Super close to the station and Uneo Park, fortunate to be there for the cherry blossoms yesterday 28th March.

We stayed here for two nights in February. The convenience of the location can’t really be beat, as it’s right next to Ueno Station. Here’s some pros and cons:

Pros:
• Super convenient
• Great staff
• Nice sized room (for a business hotel)
• Basement restaurant breakfast was excellent.
• Clean hotel
• Our room had two beds, with enough space for our luggage.

Cons:
• There was some peeling wallpaper by the window.
• The window faced a wall.
• Bathroom was small, but not bad, just small.
• We noticed an odd smell when we first entered, but that did vanish after opening the window and where came back, so.

As far as business hotels go, this is one of the best I’ve stayed in. Yes, I’d stay here again, especially during short layovers between travel across Japan. Good hotel for the price.

This was a very convenient location just steps from the subway station. The sense of arrival is quite tired with a lobby full of suitcases and minimal appeal. Arriving in the lobby gave me pause on the hotel. The location more than made up for lobby and the room provided good basic small but comfortable accommodation. I would stay here again, but would be aware of what to expect. Thank you

Hotel is very near ueno station. Just a crossing away. Convenient place for shopping. However room was very small for 3pax. Apparently a Double bed room was converted to triple room with add on bed. Side table and chair was moved to a corner outside the toilet. Hardly had any space to walk, only can open lugguage one at a time with toilet door closed. Only 1 room key was given and had to slot in the room to on the lights. We cannot leave the room unless all 3 of us leave together as the lift needs the card to tap in. Requested to ne given 2 room cards instead after which

Location location location

The room is small but reasonably clean. The two tiny garbage cans can cannot hold more than one noodle cup or a plate. Coffee in the room was delicious. Wish they also have some black tea. Literally across the street from Ueno station, the location is a 10. The cleaning lady was friendly and helpful.

The location was brilliant (once we found it! But then we’re new to Japan...). The staff were super helpful. The only drawback - a really tiny room with barely any room to walk round the bed. Still great, though.

We wouldn’t recommend the restaurant next door, though.

significant additional charges at check-in

I booked a triple room however I had to pay an extra fee at checkin as the room only had two beds. The hotel initially insisted I pay an extra 50% in addition to what I had paid hotels.com. The hotel blamed hotels.com for the mistake of wrongly describing the room!! So be warned - you may not get what you pay for and face significantly more charges at check-in.

Easily one of the best hotel (in terms of location, next to JR Ueno Station). Plus it was cheap. This is my 7th time in tokyo. Easily the choice interms of value and location. If you do not expect high class 4 stars or hotel chain brand, this is the hotel. I will definitely book this hotel again for my 8th trip to tokyo!

Stayed here 2 nights. The hotel is 1 minute from Ueno station. Several restaurants in the same block. Convenience store at the next block. The room was OK but was badly let down by the very firm pillow provided.

The regular rooms are smoking rooms so it smells pretty bad. Convenient location but the entrance is hidden in an alley. The posted address is actually the back entrance. It took me 20 minutes around the Ueno station area to find it. Hotel locks up after 1am so please let the staff know if you plan to return late.

A hotel with great location

If you want to visit the UENO area, here is your best choice. I was so surprising that they just located beside the UENO station. There are so many restaurants that you don't have to worry about eating. Returning to hotel after 1am, you need to push the ringing bell to enter, that's the only thing you have concern about.

Ueno station less than 5-minute walk away. Central location, easy access to popular spots like Akihabara, Asakusa, Imperial Palace and Ginza shopping district. Room was japanese style, very comfy, but for triple-sharing, not much walkspace after bedding laid out.

Ideal location, good value

I needed a hotel to stay in that was close to Ueno station for easy access to the Narita airport Skyliner express train, the Tohoku shinkansen line, and the Marunoichi metro line, to try to squeeze as much as I could into a three-day visit to Japan, where every minute spent on a bus or a cab would mean a minute not shopping or visiting friends. This was the perfect choice, in that there is no hotel that is closer to Ueno JR station. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the accommodation and service, and especially by the soundproofing of the room.

staffs are very helpful though you may find English could be an issue depends on duty staff. And, this hotel makes me welcome.

excellent location, room is expected small in Tokyo area, don't bring large suitcase for single room. Free coffee should be included in the air-hotel package for convenience of morning coffee. Free internet at the lobby is a plus. I only wish that smoking should not be allowed in the lobby area. If I visit Ueno area again, I would stay at this hotel.
