First off, the location is super convenient! It’s located right outside of one of the station exits. Check-in and out is also very easy. One of the best things was, you can leave your luggage not only before check-in time but also after check-out (on the day of check out). It saves your time to hustle looking for lockers at the station. Room was not too big but decent for a hotel at the center of the city. Also you can choose their panda themed decorated rooms which seem to be more family friendly. Breakfast was great, staff are all nice as well:)

Only 3 things needs improvement.

1) Toilet ventilation - The ventilation is very weak; the toilet floor and dri-fit clothes were still wet even after a night has passed.

2) Pillows - Pillows were half cotton and half beads, which makes it very uncomfortable to hug/lie on.

3) Lifts were awfully slow. There are only 2 lifts for 14 floors so be prepared to wait about 10 minutes. You can't use the stairs either because there is no exit at ground floor except for staff.

Other than the above, the rest were excellent. Staff was very helpful and attentive. Complimentary water every day. Bed was clean (a little hard but that is just personal preference). Charging cables were provided (not the fast-charge kind). Quite a few hangers were available. Hairdryer was strong!

There was a film of dust on the desk area in our room on the day we checked in which we had to wipe clean. But the the hotel did a good job of cleaning our room and providing fresh towels throughout the rest of our stay.

There were also days when the carpet in the elevator needed vacuuming, but we understand that the hotel was also very busy with guests coming and going all day long.

Disappointed arrangement 残念な取り決め

I'm a returning customer, but this stay made me disappointed. I am a family of 4 person, I booked 2 rooms. When I checked in, the front desk staff used the excuse that we didn't make a request to not assign our family to the same floor of the hotel. I think it is common sense to arrange a family to stay on the same floor. The hotel facilities and the location is still good. For someone who are going to book this hotel, please make sure you \"make your request\" even the most minor one.

We stayed at double room. Room size is decent for hotel in Tokyo and equipped with basic amenities such as slippers, pyjama, tea & coffee, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner (no body lotion). Other amenities can be found at lobby. There are vending machines, microwave and laundry machine on 3 floors. You can check status of laundry machine on in room TV.
Right opposite Ueno JR station and there is underground exit right next to hotel. There are many shops and convenient stores near by.

I've stayed here 3 times in the last 2 months. I find the check-in annoying. They have a staff standing around to help with machines you are suppsoied to use to check-in. Of all 3 times of trying the machine check in ... staff had to manually check me in. It's annoying. Otherwsie location is great, hotel is clean. I've stayed in many places in the area over the years and I think this is the most convenient. But that comes with a busy and small loby and and an often clogged building enterance with docile tourists. Would love a traditional check-in.

Great location. Very close to Ueno station. The staff are very helpful. The only problem we had is the space in the room. It is oddly designed with big desk around window and non factional big side table next to one side of the bed. The another side of bed is against the wall which is okay for one person. But for two people it is very difficult to get out. And there are no drawers at all. You just have to put everything on the huge table. The room is too small to open a mid sized suitcase. The bathroom is very nice though.

A Nice Place to Stay when in Ueno

Very convenient place to stay when visiting Tokyo. Ueno station is just across the street. Shopping, dining and Ueno park are all nearby. Hotel and room was clean and well appointed. Room was small, but accepted that as a trade-off to being central in Ueno. Staff are polite, friendly and professional.

バスルームのトイレサイドの壁にいくつか髪の毛が付着してました。
1ヶ所は目線より高い所にあったので清掃時に気づき難い場所かもしれませんが、やはり他人の髪の毛があるのは気分の良いものではなかったです。

If you need a satisfactory hotel near Ueno Station, this does the job. Across the street from the Asakusa Gate. The area around the station on this side is nothing special, but you can easily get to other parts of Tokyo from here and it is convenient to Narita via the Skyliner.

While everything in the hotel worked, everything also felt a little below par. Our room was small and unlike the other three hotels on this trip had no \"eco-friendly\" cleaning option. The hotel breakfast was OK, but served in a cramped space that occasionally generated queues. Staff were very good with adequate English.

Beds were nice, big and comfy. Rooms were fairly large by japanese standard. My only complaint was the air from the air duct hitting my face while lying on my bed. I couldn’t find a way to deflect it

Mitsui Garden Hotel was the perfect location for our Tokyo adventure!
The hotel was comfortable for being small. The blackout shades made sleeping great. The accomodations were just right, as we did not spend much time in our room.
The service by the staff was exemplary!!!
The breakfast was very satisfying.
The overall quality of the property was very good.

Hotel is conviently located, however traffic patterns are difficult. We found going underground was easire to get around with out all tha t traffic. There are elevators that make it easily accessible.
