If yo are looking for a place to only sleep this is for you. You do not have any room to move around it is very small for 2 people who have multiple luggage’s. It was very uncomfortable the set up to find your rooms is inconvenient. Our first night they told us our room was not available so they “upgraded us to a bigger room” which was still very small and then the next day they had to move our belongings since we were there for 4 nights. Trying to shower in the bathroom it was smaller than a cruise ship shower. The staff is very nice.
Breakfast is very limited but included.
There are not many bars/ restaurants near by but the Italian restaurant next door is delicious.

Proximity to Victoria Station is very convenient. Very friendly, helpful front desk. Room was larger than most single rooms I've had in the city. It was right by the elevator and so I could hear noisy people coming/going late at night. Breakfast was limited but otherwise just fine. All I did was sleep there so it was definitely fine for that.

Lovely, modernised hotel with good transport links

This was the (almost) perfect place to stay and we'll definitely be back. We were upgraded to a triple room as we had requested a quiet room. The room was modern, clean and comfortable (and quite spacious for a London hotel) and breakfast the next morning was plentiful and set us up for the day. The hotel is only a short walk from both Pimlico and Victoria stations. All of the staff we met were friendly and welcoming. I just have one small grumble - there was only just enough milk in the tiny containers to have one cup of coffee each on arrival, leaving nothing for a morning cuppa. On asking at late-night reception for more, I was told they were only 'supposed to give out four'. Not enough for two morning cuppas! He did then splash out and rustle up six, so that was good :-). Also, a couple of little packs of biscuits for arrival would have been nice. Overall, we were very happy and would recommend the Sidney Hotel.

Clean & Good Location, but tiny rooms.

Nice location - walking distance to Victoria Station, and plenty of restaurants nearby. The hotel was clean and the bar area was cozy. However the room was tiny - had the feel of a dorm room...but smaller. It's also a bit noisy, as you can hear all the activity in the hallways and continual slamming doors. This hotel is rated 3-stars, but I'm not sure why. It seems more like a 2-star to me.

If it wasn’t for the night staff I would say it’s a good hotel. Guess if you stay here you can’t stay out past 1am. Got back after a night on the town to meet a locked door and had to knock as though I was asking for a favor and didn’t pay to stay there. Horrible night staff, imagine paying money to stay somewhere and having to wait outside in the cold until it pleases the staff to let you in.

This hotel pleasantly exceeded our expectations. It was a bit of a stroll from Victoria or Pimlico - but not very far. The staff were friendly and the room was larger than expected (we were given a family room when there was only 2 of us). It was furnished in a modern updated way and was SPOTLESSLY clean - well done housekeeping! New carpets and no scratched and dented fittings like you sometimes get in a 3*. Really nice. The bed wasn't huge (standard double and not a king?) but it was comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was very basic but did its job - some cereal, toast (although everybody was always waiting for toast! Buy another toaster!), juice, some tinned fruit salad and some yoghurt, some hot drinks. Basic but fine. It was all we needed to get us going. Served in a pleasant area with nice staff. It was great to be able to leave luggage at the hotel to mooch around the nearby Tate on our final day. All in all, it wasn't fancy but it was really comfortable and sparkling clean and I would definitely recommend it as a good base.

Two double beds in the room, good size for London. Room 101 is on street level on the corner by traffic lights so was noisy. Bathroom tiny but had all needed. Breakfast was included but was poor.

While getting to locations, I took in the ambiance of London, the very heart and spirit of the place. And I loved it! I’ll be back and I’ll stay at the Sidney Hotel.

Excellent on a budget

This hotel has comfortable, affordable rooms that were kept clean throughout my stay. I was on the first floor and could hear the lobby music quite loudly in my room, though this is turned off later at night until around 7am. Only one member of staff was seating people at breakfast and they were also responsible for clearing away used dishes after people left. This meant that some mornings it took a little bit of time to be sat down. Once sat down options were very limited, but who can complain about a free breakfast really? Rooms are small but I found it wasn't overly so. I had space to store everything and wasn't bumping into things constantly.
Overall it's an excellent hotel for those on a budget.

Used this hotel on a number of visits to London,close to all the main attractions and underground is not far away. Rooms have been refurbished to a excellent standard.
Breakfast is continental with a good selection to choose from. Bus stops right outside of hotel but is in walking distance to a lot of the main attractions.
Always felt safe when travelling back to the hotel at night.

Hotel near the city center

We stayed there 4 nites after a 12 nites British Isles cruise. We were given a twin room in the ground floor in the first nite. It was no ventilation and the window is not safe. The shower floor was very slippery. For our own safety, we bought one from a store in the Victoria Terminal. Next day morning, we requested room change and moved to a smaller room in the 3rd floor. Everything was fine except the shower is very high and a very high between the shower and the floor.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights on our first visit to London. We loved the location in regards to the activities and sights we wanted to see. The room was clean and comfortable and of an average size you would expect a European hotel room to be. It is a short walk to Victoria station, less than 10 minutes at an average pace. There is a bus stop right outside that has buses frequently stopping at that'll take you to Victoria station and further north if you don't want to walk. The staff were very helpful and the luggage storage service was really convenient (excellent that there is someone at concierge 24/7). Breakfast was good but nothing spectacular - croissants, toast, spreads, yoghurt, cereals, juices, coffee and tea.
Would we return and recommend to family and friends? Definitely!

Good location, bad wifi

Stayed here for two nights in mid April 2018.Great location, about 15 minute walk to Victoria Train station. Since I was travelling on my own I booked a basic single room with one twin bed. While the room was small, it was perfectly fine for one person. Everything was very clean & the washroom, while small was very modern looking and appeared to have been renovated recently. The shower worked well with lots of water pressure! However, the shower was a bit tight and did not have a shelf or anywhere to put the shampoo or soap bottles – except for the shower floor. I am not a large person but it was a bit difficult even for me to bend down to pick them up because of the small size of the shower.

The two main complaints I have is the wifi was VERY slow the 2 days I was there & there was no in-room safe. I normally do not book rooms that do not have a safe, but I guess I did not realize when I booked the room. I tested the wifi using Speedtest - showed consistent download speeds of 0.32 Mbps & upload speeds of 0.2 Mbps. It was unusable anytime I tried it. The included breakfast was ok, not great, a self serve buffet with mostly carbohydrates but they had fruit salad which was ok, so fine for a quick bite.

If you don’t care about having usable wifi or a safe in the room, this is a very nice clean, reasonably priced hotel in a great location.

Was very between pleasantly surprised. Hotel has been refurbished and is looking good. Room was cool as the radiator was turned down. No problem as soon as you turned them up they warmed the room . Bathroom smaller but everything was nice and clean
The room had two double beds with plenty of space to walk around. The beds had a sheet, blanket and top cover which we found better than a Duvet which we find too warm in some hotels This meant that both my husband and myself had a good nights sleep without waking up hot. Breakfast was continental cereal/crossiants/toast/jam yoghurt/fruit/tea/coffee

Will use this hotel again for its location to victoria station and pimlico station Glad I found it

The hotel is undergoing renovation but this didn't impact on our weekend stay. We had booked a triple room which had been refurbished recently. The room was of adequate size for three adults, but the ensuite was quite small. Staff were pleasant and helpful and the hotel was an easy 5/10 minute walk from Victoria Station. Breakfast, which consisted of cereal, toast and croissants with juices, tea and coffee, was good. It is served until 0930. The restaurant room was quite small for the size of the hotel, so be prepared for a short wait if you opt to take breakfast after 9am. Overall an enjoyable stay and reasonable value for money for this part of London.

The reception experience was a nightmare . They where adamant that I needed a hard copy vaucher to check in . I showed them my confirmation email but they where still not happy. I rang hotel.com after a lot of debate they accepted an email comfermation from hotel.com in my opinion they had me logged in on their system and they should have been able to get all the info they needed from the booking details. The hotel was nice,clean and continental breakfast was very good

The room was way to small. The bed was too soft and uncomfortable. My husbands feet hung over the end of the bed. No room to move around the room. Breakfast was simple. It's needs to have some protein and fruit. The area was great. Easy to get to. Nice places to eat and walk to. Since it's London they should offer complimentary umbrella for the stay.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location. They advertise that they have air-conditioning but to them that is a ceiling fan that seems to fall off the ceiling when you turn it on. They are currently renovating the place.

On arrival, the receptionist was very nice, explained the normal formalities and then we went up to our room. The room itself was very small, even though we had a triple room. The room was very warm with no air conditioning, safe or mini fridge, and they charge for using their safe. This was the first hotel (and I have stayed at a LOT given that I have visited 42 countries) where we had to wash our own coffee mugs because their cleaning staff did not replace them. We requested a fan which they insisted they did not have but then were kind enough to provide one so we could sleep at night. Breakfast was by far the worst part of our visit. Only cheap packaged cereal, croissants, yogurt, pre-toasted bread and coffee. The hotel is a good 12 min walk to Victoria station so not close to anything. They nickel and dime you for everything 25 pence for phone calls, printouts etc.

Hotel is in good location within walking distance of several spots. The rooms are very small even for european standards so be aware if you are traveling with more than 2 people. Beds are small (I think full size or smaller) and barely hold two people and not comfortably. Booked a triple room for 3 adults and was supposed to have 3 beds however the hotel only has 1 room like that so we were stuck with only 2 beds. Breakfast was okay with mostly cereal other carbs. I survived on croissants the entire time. I would not stay here again as a family but would possibly stay as a couple if I could not find anything else. Definitely very cramped by US standards.

Hotel room much smaller than anticipated, furniture quite dated although bed was comfy and bathroom was nice. Room booked was for 3 single beds however upon arrival they said they don't do 3 single bed rooms so ended up with a double and single which was frustrating as I would have booked elsewhere if I'd known this so they advertise wrongly on hotels.com! Upon arrival they explained the hotel was nonsmoking...in our room I found so many cigarette stubs on our small balcony window and on the carpet by the window so clearly the room was not cleaned properly I did report this to hotel staff who did nothing about it they didn't even offer to clean it up! Tea and coffee was disgusting at breakfast in all honesty the best thing about this hotel was the location only being a 6-8 min walk from train station and theatre, the beds were comfy so did get a decent sleep but I'd recommend staying elsewhere I wouldn't stay here again.

A great little hotel in a nice, and quiet location - but still close to the action. Close to Pimlico tube station, or a slightly longer walk to Victoria station. The room was very comfy, if not a little warm (winter heating on all the time). Complimentary breakfast was basic but good.

The staff had our reservation wrong and thus we were given a room with three single beds rather than one double as we had reserved. The hotel was in a very bad condition with renovations going on in the area where our room was placed causing noise, dust and in general inconveniences with getting in and out of the room.

The Hotel was very nice. It was within walking distance of the tube. The rooms were small but I believe that is the norm in London. The rooms were well furnished. The shower was very small. I felt the staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was guick and efficient.I would stay in this hotel again and recommend it to others.

Convenient to the underground and sights. Good service, good breakfast, clean rooms, nice staff. Room was quite small and somewhat cramped, especiall the bathroom. Internet service (not free) was slow and cut out at times. Good for my purposes on this trip (business and a bit of sightseeing), but I might find something more comfortable for a vacation. However, I think it's a very good value.

Small rooms and deep fat fried breakfast

We had only booked to stay in the Sydney Hotel for one night. Thank god that we did not stay there any longer. On arrival, the receptionist was very nice, explained the normal formallities and then we went up to our room. The room itself was very small and the only way I could get to my side of the bed was to climb over the bed itself. The room was very warm and only moderately cleaned. Once the ceiling fan was on you could see all the dust coming off the curtains. The bathroom was actually one of those plastic cladded cubicles that you would normally find in a caravan or on a boat; made my wife feel sea-sick. Breakfast was by far the worst part of our visit. We arrived in the breakfast room to find that the bacon and Sausage had been deep fat fried. I asked the waitress to ask the chef if we could have grilled sausage and bacon, at this point her English became non-existant and when the second waitress came, she too had forgotten how to speak English. We sat down a a table for two, but it was so small even the two cups of tea we had filled it up. As we only stayed the one night, we didn't make a fuss so checked out and left. We found a nice little cafe just up the road, however it did cost us £16.00.

What a find!!!

My stay here was as expected. I did my research so I knew that the room was not going to be as comparable in size to USA. My room was clean and cleaned daily. The hot breakfast was pretty good (eggs, ham, sausage, toast, pasteries, etc.). By the way, having breakfast provided save about 4 pounds (that $6.50) a day. The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. This place is in an excellent location. The Victoria underground is less than 10 minutes away and the #24 bus stop is directly in front of the hotel. The con: The bed and pillows were a little hard. I would stay and recommend others staying at the Sidney Hotel.

Very budget good hotel, apart from the bed

I mostly enjoyed my two nights at the Sidney Hotel. Everything was modern, clean, and efficient. For the price I paid, it was good value. I did have two complaints, however: 1) the mattress was non-existant, it was like sleeping on cardboard; 2) the bottom half of the wall-mounted TV was hidden by the closet and could not be adjusted enough to remedy it. Despite these things, it's a good place for a short stay and you're not a larger person (the rooms are very compact).

Sidney hotel, London \"Very impressed,would go back in a flash\"

We were very pleased with the sidney hotel. The location is excellent for central london and the staff very friendly, also very nicely decorated and looks very nice on the eye. The breakfast was probably the best i have had in a London hotel in about 20 visits. If i was to be slightly critical the room was on the small side but that didn't bother me in the slightest. Many thanks to the staff at sidney hotel and to Expedia for making our new year extra special in a great little hotel.

We stayed in a room on the ground floor, I believe it was room 102. The room was tidy except it had a splatter across the ceiling and walls that look like blood. We told the member of staff at reception someone would look at it and gave a weak appology. Surely the room should be checked and cleaned before the guests arrive. Four Star Hotel...not sure

nice hotel- friendly and helpfull staff - good breakfast - room was über cramped - pre fab plastic en suite was clean but very small - squeeze to walk between end of bed and wall - room had a chair that could not be sat in or repositioned at opposite end of room from a table that was totaly impractical - a really bad layout of room - it was ok for just one night - my only complaint is cramped room and I am quite small!

Great location but hotel room was only so-so.

The location was great. Up the street from the Pimlico Tube station and a short walk to Westminster Abby, Big Ben and the London Eye. There were hotels all along the street and a delicious Italian restaurant across the street. The hotel room itself was very small, barely enough room to walk around the bed. I did not think it was very clean. The heater didn't work. The TV periodically stopped working and refused to turn off. The bed itself was very uncomfortable. I could feel the springs poking into my back making it very difficult to sleep. The street was lined with hotels, so I suggest trying to stay at one of those instead as the quality of the actual hotel room was not very good but the location is great.

The hotel was in a good area. but they gave us a room which happens to be in the Basement. If I knew they would give us a room in the basement, I would not have sign up. I should have received a partial refund since they assign me to a basement room. Me and my wife were the only guest in their basement. They do not give you soap and shampoo unless you ask for it at the desk. There is no Air conditioner... On 2 nights, people talk loud in the street. There are peoeple leaving or coming into the hotel.

La habitación estaba bien para una sola persona, sin embargo es más pequeña de lo que uno puede percibir en las fotos de promoción. Los recepcionistas eran amables y siempre intentaban ayudar. El personal que trabaja en el desayuno es algo grosero, sobre todo una señora mayor extranjera quien tenia malos modales e intentaba imponer sus decisiones a los huespedes. Se molestó porque pedí que por favor calentaran las tostadas las cuales estaban frías. El desayuno es EXTREMEDAMENTE BÁSICO para el precio del hotel no coincide. No cuentan con cecinas ni con quesos. Al menos la habitación era cómoda pero al baño le faltaba mucha limpieza. Buena ubicación.

Die Lage des Hotels ist fantastisch. Zu Fuß sehr schnell in der City. Bushaltestelle direkt vor der Tür.
Zimmer ok. Jedoch Probleme mit der Heizung und der Klimaanlage, die das nicht sehr serviceorientierte Personal nicht behoben hat!!
Frühstück unterdurchschnittlich.
Personal im Servicebereich sehr oberflächlich.

Hotel Sidney una struttura veramente pulita e confortevole situata a Victoria Station c’è la fermata del bus fuori la struttura colazione internazionale inclusa, ma la cosa più importante che la consiglio pienamente e che alla reception c’è un ragazzo di nome CRISTIAN parla benissimo in italiano una persona speciale e gentilissima, prox weekend non mancherà modo di rifare la prenotazione in loco

Frukostbuffe`som det står är ett hån. Rostat bröd i trekanter som man fick köa till då personalen inte hann rosta, marmelad, äggröra samt flingor det var allt. bordet var 1 meter långt så en väldigt kort \"Buffe´\" många gnällde på detta

Fint hotell, rent och snyggt, trevlig personal. Frukosten drar ner betyget något men den var å andra sidan bättre än många andra continetalfrukostar jag ätit - det fanns både färsk frukt och äggröra så det gick stt äta sig mätt. Skönt med nära till Victoria station.

저는 싱글룸에서 잤는데 작지만 혼자 숙박하기에는 괜찮았어요. 호텔이 주요 관광지 가까이에 위치해서 대중교통이 아주 편리했어요. 런던은 숙박요금이 비싼데 여기는 합리적인 가격이라 생각해요. TV가 높이 달려있고.아침식사가 너무 소박한 게 조금 아쉽지만, 직원들이 모두 하나같이 정말 친절해서 잊혀지지 않아요. 런던에 또 간다면 다시 이 호텔에 숙박하고 싶어요.

Uruselt frukostupplägg men bra läge

Mycket bra område med busshållplats tvärs över gatan och Victoria station fem-tio minuter bort.Rummet var rent men tyvärr bara en säng och ett täcke att dela på men det var väl ok.Frukosten bestod av att man fick stå och vänta på bröd,frukt,m.m mer än att man satt och åt i lugn och ro.Rekommenderar hotellet utan frukost om det går,för det var bara stressande att stå och vänta och sen försöka kasta sig över brödet,bananerna,etc!!Inte mycket att välja på heller så \"buffe\" var lite att ta i

Tolles Hotel in top Lage

Der bestimmt schon zehnte Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel und immer wieder zufrieden. Zurzeit werden sogar die Zimmer alle renoviert. Sie sind zwar nicht besonders groß, aber ausreichend und gemütlich und bisher immer sauber. Lediglich das Frühstück ist nicht besonders abwechslungsreich, aber da es im Preis inbegriffen ist, ist es vollkommen okay.
Immer wieder gerne.....

Personnel pas très accueillant, mais correct et efficace. Déjeuner minimaliste (du pain, des céréales,de la confiture et des boissons chaudes), mais gratuit, ce qui est rarement le cas, donc il n y a pas lieu de se plaindre. Lit 2 personnes, fait pour une personne et demie, donc nous avons mal dormi. Mais pression de la douche excellente et chambre propre. Bien situé, tout près de la station de métro Pimlico et donc centre vite atteignable.

Nyoppusset hotell, vi fikk et lite rom, men det var fint baderom, gode senger - og velfungerende aircondition, noe som var helt nødvendig under denne hetebølgen. Litt kø til frokosten, som er helt enkel kontinental med ristet brød, varme croissanter og divetse frokostblandinger. Fint område, mange små spisesteder like i nærheten.

Bra hotell, sparsam frukost

Nära Viktoria station, lätt att komma till Gatwick. Trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Beskrivning av hotellet angav frukostbuffé. Den visade sig vara kontinental frukost. (rostat bröd med smör och marmelad,flingor och yoghurt, kaffe och te )

locatie goed, gastvrijheid slecht

De kamer was best betaalbaar maar daar was de kwaliteit ook naar:

-kamer te klein (we liepen elkaar in de weg (2 pers)
-bed maar 120 cm
-berg stof op de kast
-verder wel goed schoon
-personeel achter receptie kwam niet gastvrij over, geen enkele glimlach te zien
-ontbijt karig, alleen croissants, brood en jam. (en yoghurt) (geen kaas of ander beleg)
-personeel in restaurant niet gastvrij, chagrijnig, tafel werd ontruimd terwijl we nog niet klaar waren. We werden weggestuurd omdat het tijd was.
-de mogelijkheid de koffers na uitchecken nog te stallen was heel prettig.

séjour de 3 nuits, accueil très bien, chambre rénové très bien, un peu petite mais suffisante pour deux. Petit déjeuner simple mais copieux. Hotel très bien placé pour prendre le métro PIMLICO et déplacement à pied possible jusqu'a WESTMINSTER, environ 30 min. Arret de bus juste en face. Divers restaurants à proximité, il y en a pour tous les gouts et budgets. A refaire!

Saimme isomman huoneen samaan hintaan kun semmoinen oli vapaa silloin. Kaikki oli toimivaa ja mukavaa, ainot miinus aamupalasta, koska siinä ei ollut yhtään proteiineja.
