Room was clean and the housekeeping clean and fixed our beddings while we were out. Staff was so helpful inspite of checking in late. The location is perfect for first time tourists like us as it is near to some tourist spots like Buckingham palace, Big Ben, Westminster and London Eye. We just walked for about 15-20 mins to reach those places. The hotel is also surrounded with different restaurants and stores which is convenient by walking.

I could not have a shower. At 5am the water had seeped away. I decided to use the sink for a wash. When I unplugged it all the watercame up into the shower tray!! I called reception and the manager came up with a rubber suction i cannot describe the filth that came up out of the shower waste!!!! We azked for some compensation but because we booked through you hecould not comply. We would like £50 refund to my payment card please.

The hotel is conveniently located to the train station, the staff were friendly and helpful. There are restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Buckingham Palace is a short walk away. The property is slightly dated but very clean. The room was small, I shared a twin room with my son, but we did not have any issues and slept well. The bathroom is clean and the shower did not send water all over the floor. I would stay here again.

Since the rooms are small they kept it in the office until needed. The rooms were small. Not really room for suitcases. We had to lift them up on the bed to get things out or in them. The bathroom was tiny. Barely enough room to shower. No room for toiletries. The table for the coffee pot doubled as a vanity of sorts.

Lovely hotel in an excellent location. We had a warm welcome from the gentleman at reception and he was lovely throughout our visit. The room had everything that was needed for a convenient and comfortable trip to visit London to see a show. The location was great for walking from Victoria and into Trafalgar. We didn’t expect a top quality hotel with the budget used, but we had a clean, comfortable and welcoming stay in a lovely location. We will be back!

So I arrive…pitch dark down the stair…I’m 66 years old and had to travel by myself….not safe.

Do NOT recommend stay for more than 2 nights--tiny bathroom, very little natural light, claustrophobic feel for 3 people, no place to store luggage, no A/C or decent ventilation even though the weather was very hot out, 1 very thin pillow for each person to sleep on. More like a youth hostel with privacy than a hotel

There is no elevator, so if stairs are an issue, you will want to request a lower floor. Rooms are small but have everything you need to enjoy your stay. I think that you are paying for the location because the room that we stayed in (#2) was just a poor quality, random Blackpool type hotel room that makes Travelodge look posh.

Wonderful family-run hotel located in a cute part of London (Pimlico) that is well situated and connected to the underground and regional trains. The room was perfect for just two and has all the basic necessities. Very clean and basic house keeping provided daily. They also allow you to keep luggage at the hotel after checkout which was very convenient for a later flight. Wonderful stay and would happily recommend to friends and family for future stays!

Ideal small hotel for a night away in London. Very close to Pimlico tube station it is easy to get to. Room and the rest of the hotel is exceptionally well cared for, not the tired look which so many small hotels suffer from. The paintwork was fresh and tidy, bathroom spotlessly clean and everything we needed was there.
Only one thing I should point out is there is no lift. It was clearly stated before booking but by other reviews it appears some people just aren’t aware/don’t read the details before booking. Its a small hotel, few of them have such facilities. I would recommend this hotel to anyone 👍

We've stayed in the Victoria area hotels before, so we knew the room would be small and the hallways tight. But what we didn't expect was the lack of elevator. Being several floors up, it was quite the challenge lugging the heavy luggage up to and down from the room. But overall, the room was tight but nice. Typical of London hotels, especially in this area. Front desk staff was incredibly helpful with how to get places, giving us maps, and giving suggestions of touring around London. They also watched the luggage, for a fee, on our last day.

We had an excellent stay at the Melbourne, my son and I. We had a nice view of Parliament and the Eye from our window. The bedding was comfortable and clean, as were the shower and toilet facilities. I don’t like to pay a great deal for lodging because I think that it should just a place to clean up and sleep; therefore, I’m a bit conservative in how much I want to spend. As I told the very friendly and helpful house owner, the Melbourne House is a good deal for people who are careful with their travel budgets.

I thought this hotel is a Bed & Breakfast, but breakfast was not available. There was no shop or cafe nearby, either. If you like instant coffee for breakfast, it it may be a good place to stay. It is also very important to be aware that this hotel has no elevator.
