Disappointing basic amenities. Arrived on a cold and wet January day. Window was partially open on arrival. Had to ask receptionist to turn heating on. Never warm. Heating went off early morning so cold when got up around 09.00. Hot water in bathroom sink but extremely lukewarm in shower.

I ad a single room, it was clean and great location, but when I say small, I really mean really small. The single bed was against the wall, and luckily I only had a carry on suitcase that I put on the floor at the end of my bed, therefore you could not open the door to get out. The price was very good, the location was 4 minute walk from Victoria coach station, and the room was very clean, but literally no amenities, slightly more like a hostel set up. If you are on a budget, and want to be in a great location, this would work well.

Stayed at Oyo Townhouse for one night during a family trip to london. Facilities were very basic and room wasnt particularly comfortable. It was clean enough but the bin and radiator in the bathroom were covered in rust and my little ones feet were black after walking on the carpet bare foot!! The pressure in the shower was absolutely awful and there were no drink making facilities so couldnt have a cup of tea or coffee in the morning. Served a purpose but definitely would not stay here again for the money.

Suite was tight but understandable at the price point. Clean. For some reason UK hotels insist on leaving out non-functioning remote controls for their TV's and theyre always a pain to use.

My largest grief was their elevator. Its functionable but it stops half way between floors, so if you have luggage, youre hauling up stairs whether you use the elevator or not. Not really useful for handicapped people or making life easier hauling stuff.

We stayed for 3 nights and the staff was very friendly. Overall, rooms were a little tight and lacking basic things like shelves in the shower, or only having two basic pillows on the bed. I would 100% stay again, just based off location, safety, price, and staff.

I never write reviews but I honestly wouldn’t wish this stay on anyone. There was a BROWN SMELLY RUST leaking from the shower. So soooo bad my mom couldn’t even shower, it was so unsanitary. I understand now their strict no refund policy because I’m positive, they’d be out of business. Stay FAR away!!

The only thing that worked for this place was the bed, it was comfy.
Hot water stopped working, worked later.
No AC but a fan in the room.
Remote stopped working and tv had to be turned off and on for it to change a few channels and stop working.
Not sure what was worse, the sewer smell or the \"air freshener \" to cover the smell.
Loud outside . Lift only stopped on -0,5 1,5 or 2,5 so you had to still walk in stairs.

Absolutely Disgusting – Stay Away!

I don’t normally write reviews, but I felt obligated to warn others. This hotel was filthy. The room reeked of mildew and rot the moment we walked in — like a long-abandoned building with no fresh air in decades. Windows were sealed shut, offering no ventilation, and there was visible black mold creeping along the ceiling and in the bathroom. It felt unsafe, unsanitary, and honestly scary. We couldn’t relax for a second, let alone sleep. I don’t know how this place passes health inspections — it absolutely shouldn’t. Spend your money anywhere else.

Extremely small, bathroom is very little. It couldn’t use some deep cleaning of the walls and base boards. Shower door was missing the handle I was stuck in the shower for a bit. Upon my arrival at check in in I was told my room was not ready, waited for about 10 minutes. Which I didn’t really mind. What I did mind was once the room was ready and carried my luggage up, cleaning services had all the dirty laundry bags blocking the hallways I had to jump over and avoid about 4 big bags. My one complaint is, No AC, it was extreme hot, around 87 degrees hot with y a small fan. It was terrible. Location wise was great 10 mins walking distance from Victoria station, 20 mins from Buckingham palace. Lots of places to eat walking distance .

Absolutely shocking accommodation. I have never ever written a review before as usually think “well it’s a bed and it’s clean” BUT the room was horrendous. There were holes in the walls, the plaster board was coming away from the bricks, the net curtains (at least I think that’s what they were meant to be) were totally shredded. The walls were dirty, the floor grimey and the beds under a dirty vile window. The 1 star is because the sheets were clean. I had my son with me and I almost turned and walked out. If it hadn’t have been Pride and BST at Hyde park I would have but London was heaving. The shower was just a trickle. The room was pokey and in a corner type space. I would never stay here again!

Shower was very small, and no early check ins are allowed, however, they had a storage room for our luggage, so we good drop it off and start exploring the area. Would recommend for short stays.

The GoodGreat location, within walking distance of the tube, buses, Chelsea flower show, eateries etc. not a fancy place by all means, just convenient and cheap. Also, we needed new towels and they were promptly given to us.
The Bad: small room. Booklet in the room states breakfast served at 8, but there’s no breakfast at all. Chairs in the room were stained, would better be replaced. Shower door didn’t close all the way because it needs to be reajusted to railings.
Again, a cheap and conveniently located hotel. If all you need is a place to shower and crash, great deal.

Average Room, GDPR nightmare

Room was average, bit worn and while clean was a bit dusty and stained in places.

My biggest gripe was with check-in where I asked to provide a significant amount of PII (personal information) like postcode, DOB, Licence/Passport number and when I challenged as to why it was needed, how it was stored and disposed of (GDPR basics) I was told its part of registration and if i didn't provide it i couldn't stay.

Sufficed to stay i'll be raising this matter with the ICO as it's a flagrant breach.

This hotel saved me and my trip. Im American and was traveling alone and had my phone stolen in the middle of the night outside. Joseph at the front desk was so helpful and wonderful, he let me use his personal phone to call my family and friends and get my affairs in order, well into the early hours of the morning. I had to wake up early and didn’t have an alarm so he made sure to come knock on my door at the agreed upon time and checked in on me even after my stay. Joseph’s kindness was unexpected and exceptional. He is an amazing man and employee, OYO is lucky to have him. Overall the room was great, the shower was wonderful and the bed was comfy. Private, quiet and lovely, not so walkable for the area if you want more of a downtown, shopping vibe. Again, thank you Joseph, I wish you the best!

I contacted them through Expedia messaging within 30 minutes of checking out on Friday to let them know that I had left my international charger in the socket and that I would be back on Monday to pick it up. When I cam on Monday to pick it up, it had vanished. Also, their listing on Expedia stated that they serve breakfast ... THEY DO NOT. This was a HUGE disappointment because I had factored not having to pay additionally for breakfast.

The property itself was well maintained and clean. My issue was with the staff. They were very unconcerned and unhelpful. We wanted to extend our stay by two nights and when we eventually did so on bookings, the hotel receptionist (both of them) told us that we had to check out and check back in at 3pm.. for the same room.. so we basically had to move out of the room and move in back 4 hours later. . Staff was definitely rude and wont ever recommend this place because of them.there are many other hotels closer and cheaper.

I was a little unsure of stying here due to the reviews but please don’t let them put you off - sure it’s not as updated and clean as it could be but it’s totally fine and the staff really helped anyway the could.
For the price you couldn’t really ask for more - hot shower , bed , Tv .. with some nice lighting and blackout curtains .
I don’t inspect the state of pillows / duvets / towells underneath the covers and what the eye could see was fine - or go stay at the ritz !

The environment looked clean at first glance but closer looks revealed hair on the bath towel and pillow and the fan in the bathroom was covered with thick layers of dust. The hot water also stopped working on the first morning of our stay so we had to bathe with cold water. The water situation was however fixed later in the day after being reported to the front desk staff.

Hotel stunk and the bed was extremely uncomfortable. All employees but 1 were extremely uninterested in assisting or answering questions. After “house keeping” came the bed was not made, and they took our dirty towels without replacing them with new ones. When I asked for new ones they acted inconvenienced and wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing them. As if that was possible in a 90sq foot room. Placed on a very loud street corner and almost all of the photos online are deceptive. No dinning room. No common areas. No breakfast. Missing half the things they advertise. Would give 0 stars if the website allowed.

We only stayed for one night. The location was close to the theater and the subway. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The room was not a pleasant experience. It was filthy and in major disrepair. The shower had so much damage that you had to watch where you stood because it felt like you may fall through the floor. The pillows and decorative strip on the bed were so dirty that they may have never been washed.

For it's price, it is a good place to stay. It is a no frills place, but the cost is good. There was a few little things like the shower door was missing it's handle. So my wife being short had to call me in there to open the door for her. The remote for the TV barely worked and was so worn you couldn't tell what any of the buttons did.

It was a great location and in a very safe area. Walking distance to the closest rail/coach stations. The staff was very nice and they keep everything clean and nice.

Hope You Like Stairs

First, know that OYO Townhouse is just a 5 minute walk to Victoria Underground Station in a safe neighborhood, so that is a huge plus. The staff was friendly and helpful, another plus. My room was very small....just wide enough for a bed and a wooden chair. But, I just needed the room to sleep in, so it didn't matter so much. The bathroom was modern and the shower had great pressure. Another plau. The only downside is that, if your room is on the 3rd or 4th floor, the elevator only takes you to BETWEEN floors. meaning that to catch the elevator from the Lobby you had to go DOWN 5 steps, and then when you arrived at your floor, you still have to CLIMB 9 more steps! That's a total of 14 steps. I had a backpack and one large suitcase, which I struggled to get up the requisite number of stairs. So if you like stairs....this place has your name all over it. The price was decent.

Everything stripped back to basics to make affordable. No kettle or cups tea/ coffee in the room. Double room was two singles pushed together. Breakfast was on information on room door but when I asked the reception pointed to a sign saying no food no drinks. So service poor. Also an issue that shower door won’t open from inside reported again not bothered. On busy road and traffic noisy late into the night and from 5am. Bed not comfortable. Dissatisfied and would not stay here again.

Stayed here for one night before heading the Heathrow the next day. The hotel is on in a great location for exploring some of London’s sights. The room itself was a bit on the small side so I wouldn’t have wanted to stay much longer, but was perfect for what I needed. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good. Staff were friendly and welcoming. At the time I stayed there was breakfast service (not sure why) so I can’t comment on this.

Towels smelt like cigarettes, none of the outlets worked, only gave us one pillow. When we asked for a new towel because of how disgusting the other one smelt, the manager gave us a new one that smelt even worse of cigarette smoke. The irony is that there is a no smoking sign on every door of the hotel. The shower leaked and felt unstable on the inside. The amenities listed online were a lie! No breakfast, no drinks provided in the lobby. Pictures online are out dated and provide false advertisement. We left after the first night. Horrible stay. Do not stay here.

I will definitely recommend it. The area is close to all the main landmarks. I was able to walk to the Elisabeth Tower, known as the Big Ben Tower. I will come back for sure!

On booking in, I asked the person behind the counter if i could book a wake up call. They started laughing in my face saying \" you want me to come wake you up?\"
Note to hotel, train your staff that a wakeup call is not an unusual thing to ask for when on business in central London and doesnt need to be mocked.
The room was extraordinarily small. My bag barely fit between the wall and bed, and I had to move the bag to open the door to the bathroom.

AVOID!! I arrived at the hotel late at night to find it was completely shut down. I wasn't notified, and no alternative accommodation was required. It was not what we expected when booking. Says breakfast is included-- breakfast was a selection of pastries, cereal, or toast, and either coffee, juice, or tea.. not great. When we got to the room, our heater was not working, and we were told someone would look into it but it never happened. We were given a space heater to make up for it (again, not great). The shower has absolutely no pressure, and no heat regulation, so at times it was too cold and at other times it was unbearably hot. You couldn't even get the shampoo out of your hair as there was no pressure.
This hotel is not even the bare minimum for what you pay. We were very disappointed and would not recommend anyone staying here if they are looking for comfort. The only good thing about this hotel was it's location, as it is about an 8 minute walk to London Victoria station.

Beds too short for a 5’6” woman; no breakfast before 0800 and no left luggage facility until 0930.

Frankly daylight robbery at £85 a night; use a hostel instead. You will at least have a bed that fits you.
