The room itself was ok. Clean fresh bedding and towels. Although the whole building was dated and needed maintenance, you could look past that if only staying for one night like us (I wouldn’t stay any longer) Shower and toilet was clean but not a lot of room to move.
I would avoid the breakfast, it was busy and we didn’t mind waiting but was then told to sit on a table that had already been given to another couple 5 minutes before by the same lady. The milk carton was just left out on the table, I’m guessing since the start of service. When the breakfast came (a standard sausage, egg and beans, no other options) it was cold and inedible. The eggs had weird jelly blobs on top. Whilst we were there the chief told a costumer to go into the kitchen and heat their own hot drinks in the microwave. What worries me more is they are displaying a 5* food rating on their door but a quick google will tell you they have 1*.

The room was just ok for the price as was the breakfast but the bed had no mattress protector and the thin bottom sheet looked like a single on a double bed so no overlap and a very cheap quilt cover.The owner was very nice explaining that the place was being \"overhauled\" which it is definately in need of.

Our room looked nothing like the photos on the website! The paint was peeling off the walls. We heard rats inside the walls. The toilet was leaking water from the bottom. The shower head was leaking and not hung up. There was a weird door in our bathroom that lead outside. The floor and sheets were dirty.

No extractor fan in the toilet/shower room
Breakfast was very limited in options. One cereal, Wheatabix.
Bacon, egg and veggie sausage.
Soft, undercooked white toast, plus jam
Good coffee and ok tea.
Breakfast room was not very clean.
No glasses or tea/coffee facilities in bedroom which mean walking down 3.5 flights of stairs then back up again!!

Shower wasn't hot.
Sink had disconnected from the section below it.
No soundproofing at all. You can hear anything and everything from other rooms.

The room wasn’t up to par at all.
First, the shower was awful, no warm or hot water! Shower need some work on it.
Secondly, the blow dryer didn’t have a UK plug on it.
Thirdly, tv only had 2 channels.
Lastly, someone was praying or chanting extreme loudly from below in the office area.
Unfortunately we won’t stay there again!
Only thing that was good was it was close to Victoria Station.

The room was well appointed but the mattress uncomfortable. There was a strong smell of cleaning product which was only dispelled by leaving the window open - hotels must realise that strong scents are a problem for people with sensitivites. The corridors and stairs were very tatty and unpleasant. I didn't sample breakfast as I had to leave - a 7:30 start is too late for London. Proximity to Victoria Station was useful.

Basic, don't expect hot water or any extras

Make sure you know there's no elevator. Our first room was in the basement. There was no hot water in the water immediately filled up the shower and pooled on the floor. There was only one available outlet we could use to plug anything in. There was no phone in the room. I called the hotel to let them know about the water and they switched us to a room on the third floor which meant six flights of stairs with our luggage. Still no hot water and only soap and a combo shampoo conditioner so don't expect much. Pillows and bed were clean but not very comfortable. Breakfast was tasty with me to order eggs and the staff was very kind. The actual inside of the building is very old and the carpeting hasn't been replaced in a while, and caused me to have some breathing problems as I'm allergic to dust. It's a great location though. So for a short stay where you don't need to take a warm shower, it'll do the trick.

The building is obviously very old, but this adds to its charm. Simple and cosy rooms, clean bathroom, fast wifi. Tv wasn’t connected but not a massive issue. Breakfast in the morning was a nice addition. A perfect little convenient spot for trips to London, and not even five minutes from Victoria station.

This is the perfectly located spot convenient to those who are making their way back from overseas trips when arriving in London too late for train connections. Short walk from Victoria tube and similar walk to the Victoria coach station. Free breakfast was great and the wifi connection was also free/solid. Staff were very friendly and super helpful. Place is undergoing renovations but not at all intrusive. Price for double bed room was very reasonable.

The room we stayed in had paint peeling of the walls, the carpet was comming of the ground.
They had construction materials everywhere on the inside in the way, There was an horrible stench in the room and rest of hotel.

We had paid for the breakfast but were too scared to eat it.

This is a budget hotel. If you accept that going in and temper your expectations you'll be fine. The staff is absolutely excellent. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The room doors are a bit hard to deal with. Difficult to close and lock. The extra stuff piled in the hallways and staircases wasn't ideal. But again...budget. My one major area for improvement is improving communication on the room descriptions. While I knew the hotel had no elevator, I had no idea the single room I booked was on the top floor or that ALL the single rooms were on the top floor. If I had, I would have paid extra for a room on the bottom floor. Four flights of stairs with luggage or without, multiple times a day, was wreckage on my knees. That info would be so helpful in the room descriptions.

Beds were uncomfortable and sagged in middle, no room or tables to put any belongings on in both the room and bathroom, no towel racks, no hot water for shower, dirty towels, etc etc Very uncomfortable stay - glad it was only one night and I was exhausted from jet lag so I could sleep. Got up early and left for train station.

Well located for overnight stop near Victoria

Hotel in dire condition and in urgent need of renovation. Corridors used as storage for building materials. Furniture, carpets, walls, fixtures and fittings stained, damaged and outdated. Shower and hand basin tiny and unusable. Bed comfortable enough. Below average breakfast. Staff okay. Room had nice view towards London Eye and Westminster and hotel conveniently located for Victoria station.

The first room key I was given was for a room that was already occupied with people’s belongings in the room, therefore, I did not feel safe my entire stay. Hotel corridors and reception are filthy, not updated in years. I’m surprised the hotel is still allowed to operate

We wanted somewhere close to wicked so we didn’t have to travel on the tube with a 8 year old at 11pm and this was perfect. 5 minutes walk from theatre (which is also Victoria station) 10-15 min walk to Buckingham palace.
We only came for one night, wanted to do sight seeing then the show. This was literally somewhere to sleep and it was perfect. You get what you pay for, it’s not the ritz. Yes it could do with a lick of paint but if you want easy access and somewhere to rest your head for a night or two, then this is perfect.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Location was perfect for easy access to Victoria Station for our London tour and return to the airport. Full English breakfast was served. Our room was on 1st floor, which we appreciated (getting our luggage up to the other floors would have been a huge challenge for us in our 70’s). Room was clean except for the carpet, and flooring under the carpet felt very unstable.
Our only major complaint is the multiple bites my husband came away with. From reading past reviews, I assume they are from bedbugs, and I am angry that we may have brought them into our house with our luggage. We have stayed in LOTS of hotels and never had to deal with them.This changes my rating from good to poor.

Good place to crash near Battersea power station for an event we went through.
Room was clean-ish except random black hairs on towels and a used soap bar in the bathroom (there were new ones available).

Could not sleep until 1am due to noise coming from rooms above and outside

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Room was so humid and smelled of paint, I got sick on the first night. Don’t book here, lots of better options in the area. They gave me a room on the “3rd” floor but in between “rest” floors made it really a 5th, no lift and no assistance. Extremely filthy bathrooms on the way up. Breakfast was inedible. Seriously, book somewhere else!!

Me and my Son just stayed here for 2 nights. Initially told we could sign in at 12pm. On arrival we were told it’s 12.30pn sp had to walk around for another 30 mins. Our room also had no kettle…and a ‘full breakfast’ is half a plate of baked beans, 2 fried eggs and a small sausage!
However…staff were lovely. Room was airy and on the top floor our view was of Big Ben and the London eye about 10-15 minutes walk away. Quiet area. Many convenience stores and eateries. 30 minutes walk from London city centre. A lot of landmarks within walking distance. Everywhere tidy in hotel. We really enjoyed it

Although the hotel is currently being refurbished, the room i had was bright, clean & modernised. The very modest price for my single room included a breakfast. The hotel is handy for Victoria coach and train stations. So I'm very pleased and will certainly use the place again.

Breakfast was…..certainly something. Nice bathroom/toilet. Was in the downstairs so street was above us and the windows didnt open much. Thankfully there was a fan bc there was no AC.

The room was terrible, doors didn’t lock. The curtains didn’t close, there were wires lying on the floor. There was a hole in the floor right when you stepped out of the added bathroom, almost rolled my ankle. You had to sit on the toilet sideways otherwise you hit the door with your knees. Hard to get the balance of hot/cold water for shower. Bed was VERY uncomfortable. The luggage storage was unmanned and not secure. Exposed wires in the “night light”. Wardrobe was broken and crocked. Only positive was staff were nice and close to train station. Didn’t feel comfortable trying the free breakfast.

For the price, we didn’t expect much, just a place to sleep cause we would be out most of the day. The location is great. Two nights stay. Busy and tired so didn’t noticed the first night. Our room was infested with bed bugs that kept on coming out when will kill them. Sadly they were full of our blood. We have pictures and captured show to show to the staff. I hope they take care of ti and do not sweep it under the rug.

The staff were all very friendly and helped me with some document printing (really appreciated). The location is close to Victoria station and coach station as we mainly had to access different spots via these two. They provided daily room service and free breakfast which were great things that made people save money and time. There was a Tesco Express nearby and some restaurants were good (Nandos…).

If a luggage storage service is needed and a 24/7 reception would help your arrival, I do recommend this hotel to tourists. The quadruple room is big enough to accommodate 4 people and 4 pieces of luggage. The showroom is very small but that enlarges a big room space. No lifts in the hotel, if carrying heavy luggage or with little kids, it’s better to request for a ground floor or…

Btw, when taking the free breakfast, Only take a drink on your own, cos the ladies will bring you toasts, jelly, eggs, veggie sausages, and baked beans with your preference (just sit and wait).😆

Just grim - hotel looks like it has been left to rot for 40 years. Peeling wallpaper, ratty old carpets and falling apart furniture… booked for work for one night, any longer and I’d have left and looked for somewhere else. Didn’t risk breakfast based on the general state of the hotel. Bedding smelled clean.. one small saving grace!

The room was clean and recently refurbished, with all new fixtures. The staff was friendly and there was always someone at the desk. The breakfast was a limited menu with table service, which was good.
That said, to calibrate expectations, it's an old building and there's no lift. There seemed to be some ongoing renovation, which didn't impact us but it suggest the facilities will continue to improve. The bathroom was clean and new, but there were no shelves and just a tiny sink. There is no air conditioning, but the window could be opened and there was a desk fan in the room. In summary, a good value for the money in London.

This hotel was what we expected (pretty dated) and on arrival found that most of our sockets didn't work. We reported this and was soon sorted out for us whilst we were out, so was no issue. Free breakfast was included. Toast, egg, sausage and beans. Which was easily adequate to start our day! There was some miscommunication on breakfast times. Reception told us 7.30-9.30 but a notice on the wall stated only until 9am. Sadly, a couple of guests were turned away at 9.10am. (Luckily we saw the notice)
Overall, definitely a good value, for a budget hotel! Thank you!

The chap on the front desk was super helpful, but the room and the heating was ridiculous. 20 degrees outside and the radiator that couldn’t be turned down was on full blast. Had to leave the window open and it was very loud outside, so struggled to sleep. For such an affluent area you’d think this place would be in very good condition, but the shower leaked all night and the bathroom door didn’t shut, and you could sit down and shut the door due to the right space. They did let us use the luggage storage while we went out for the day which was very helpful though. Wouldn’t stay again though even at £92 for the night

This was a nice little hotel my first UK hotel I was able to get a room on the bottom floor with only one set of stairs, which was nice. Hotel is pretty clean, but you can tell that it’s extremely dated their living room. Space with the couches could definitely be cleaned up. Wasn’t quite comfortable leaving my room key with them every time I had to leave. There’s no coffee or tea in the room, but they do have a free machine in the hallway that was only 10% stocked of the options. The area that it’s in is really close to Victoria Station, which was nice and easily walkable to the nearby attractions.
The lock on my window for my room didn’t work. I’m being accessible on the bottom floor. I was a little weary. I put my shoes on the windowsill To help close the curtains and alert me if someone opened the window

Staff was willing to help with requests but not complete! Toilet seat was loose and we reported it several times! Also-locks in front door and bathroom were loose not secured! Also reported but nothing was done! It looks like there was never a maintenance person available! It’s a shame as it has excellent potential!

This was a very good stay. We stayed for 5 days and the staff is super friendly! Its a 2 star hotel but its like a house and I enjoyed that. Me experience was a good one. My only thing was the bathroom, the placement of the toilet was very cramped to the wall and was uncomfortable for me being a big man. But over all it is a nice place. The location is excellent like 4 minute walk to Victoria Station and Wicked musical. And a few more minutes the Buckingham Palace. Know it is a 2 star hotel not a resort!

Terrible place too hot in room- I thought that we boiled there I asked twice to send someone and use tools to turn down heaters - missing regulator knob- , heaters broken, old shower , old beds we have to wait for only cool water even that we had room on the ground floor, when we get it only for short time- not enough for 2 adults and 1 teenager, no mirror in bathroom, shower size- claustrophobic size, blocked sink, poor cleaning, poor breakfast- 1 sausage, beans, toast, butter, jam, cearals coffee,
Whoever did housekeeping has broken head board in one bed, for bins plastic bag instead of bin bags
Only hairdryer in room which we never use so I am not sure it was working.

You get what you pay for considering location price. It was a comfy enough bed with a private bathroom in a really convenient location in London. The whole place could do with some tlc and not sure why there is random furniture on the stairs. Required a step up to the bathroom and when sat on the loo straight your knees prevented the door from closing (although it wouldn’t stay closed anyway). There were extra pillows in the random wardrobe with a missing door. Didn’t hear anyone else in other rooms.
Breakfast eggs were ok, sausage a little sad and I passed on the beans. There was coffee, water, orange juice, cereal, toast (butter & jams) also available.
Staff were friendly and helpful. 24h staff to let you in the building and we left our bags after check out until later in the afternoon when we were leaving the city.

The room was clean and suitable for a 2 star accommodation but having pieces of furniture in hallways I felt was unsafe. The coffee vending machine although free had very little availability. When having breakfast the milk was off and a lot of noise coming from kitchen area which was open to view for the diners.
