We had an issue arriving to London. I tried to contact the hotel but the phone number wasn't working so I sent a message informing we would be arriving the next day and wanted to confirm our reservation was held for us and that our room would be ready in the morning. I received no response. Upon arrival we were told that the hotel was sold out and a room was not yet available for us (even though we had paid for the previous night). We had to check our luggage at the front desk. When we returned that evening I explained the situation and asked for a credit for the previous night since we had pre-paid for a room that should have been available to us. We were told by the front desk that our reservation was good and that what we said wasn't true. Very disappointed to be accused of making something up and if our room had been available to us then why would we have had to check at our luggage at the front desk rather than putting them in our room? I would like to AGAIN request a credit back for the night we were charged.

In a very good location close to Victoria station but quiet. Check in was fast. The rooms are new and big enough and everything worked. It was clean and so were all areas we passed. Loved the shower especially. Breakfast was good with a wide selection. Have stayed in other Riu hotels abroad and love the group. Stayed one night but will certainly stay there again.

The breakfasts were excellent. The family room in the basement (room 30) was very noisy starting at 6:30 am each day. All we could hear were suitcases being rolled across the tile floors over our head. I mentioned this to the counter staff and all they said was sorry! We have stayed here twice before in the family room basement suites and they were very quiet. Stay away from this room at all costs.

Loved the hotel & its position just a few minutes walk from Belgravia, Mayfair, Chelsea, Pimlico, Buckingham Palace & St James's park etc - The amazing & beautiful Westminster Cathedral is right around the corner and is a MUST VISIT
- the hotel was lovely, modern, excepetionally clean & our room was all of those things & quite spacious too - Breakfast was included for us & set us up for the days out at the football, and for all sightseeing we managed - will definetly be back.

Didn’t really have much to do with the staff apart from checking in and drinks at the bar but everyone seemed friendly and I saw a woman get her flask filled with ice and water by staff hence the high rating. Breakfast was excellent, much better than at a lot of other hotels I have stayed at, with fresh fruit, yoghurts, hot buffet, cheeses and cold meats and included in the price. Only downside was I could have paid less booking directly with RIU.

I would not stay here again. It was extremely inconvenient to get to our room. There was only one way in and out of the hotel. We were on the opposite end. To get to our room we had to take an elevator to the floor above our floor and go through a maze of hallways then take an elevator down to our floor and go through another maze of hallways. It was frustrating to get around the hotel. The staff was not very accommodating. The air in our room did not work well and we did not get maid service. I’m usually not disappointed but this is the exception. Stay somewhere else.

The staff was very helpful and friendly and let us check in early as the rooms were ready for us. With a 3 night stay we had a good time in London. Breakfast was ok but wasn't consistent every morning. Not everyday there were hash browns and it would have been nice to have unsmoked and smoked bacon. Mushrooms were nice but on the label it should have been stated garlic mushrooms in case when guests have allergies. For the rest a great hotel with great beds for a good night sleep.

There is only instant coffee, no water or sparkling water in the room , no sparkling water at breakfast. No coffee in the hotel after breakfast , no restaurant in the hotel after breakfast. In other words if ur satisfied walking the streets for a lunch or dinner and you don't enjoy sparkling or filter or nespresso coffee then this is the place for you, and I forgot to mention they won't call cabs unless ur going to the airport,
Personally had I known this I wouldn't have booked here.

The staff was extremely rude. Seems like everyone was in a bad mood. Careful with this hotel, i accidentally booked a room in the basement with no windows. (My fault). The hallways are hospital like and very cold. I asked for an upgrade and I got it for the next day, but the rude lady at the front desk said if you don’t remove your luggage by 3 we will cancel all your rooms. There is a weird rude vibe in this place. Way better hotels in the area than this one.

The room was clean and had a good view (which was an upgrade).
The only two minor issues were the room was not as sound proof as expected (could hear people walking along the corridor) and you could hear the toilet refilling which took about 5 minutes for some reason.
The breakfast options were excellent as was the location for where we needed to be.
We never go chance to try the bar or gym etc, but the hotel was certainly clean and tidy.

We were pleasantly surprised with the hotel. Most of those we were searching for in the area seemed small. This has a King bed and enough room to open all of our post cruise luggage. The staff were very helpful with logistics and helping us secure a taxi for our departure. The breakfast buffet was the best I've ever been to for a hotel included breakfast. Wow!

The room was a little small, but nice and clean. I feel like either everyone was super quiet or the sound proofing in the hotel was very good. I didn’t hear any neighbors and slept well. Breakfast was very good, the gym is small but has a flat bench, and a couple useful machines to get a solid workout while on travel. The only thing I didn’t like was there aren’t many trash cans in the hallways and there were no wash clothes to wash your body in the shower. I guess this is an English thing but I wish I would have known that before arriving. The location is perfect, and I will likely return again in the future.

Our first time staying here and will definitely do so again. It is perfectly situated for coming in and out of Victoria, getting the bus or tube. As we arrived early we were able to leave our bags and go off sightseeing. And we could leave them the next day until we caught the train in the evening. This service is a huge help.
The staff were very polite and helpful. Our room was spotless and the bed very comfortable. And VERY quiet. The breakfast was amazing. So much choice and all kept topped up and fresh.
We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the hotel.

Hotel is clean, very central to Vic Station and staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast (included) was exceptional.
Few quirks. All for saving the planet but the flush system on the toilet was poor.
The concept of the TV for streaming from your device to Netflix/Prime was really hit and miss. We come from Canada and may have to do with the apps themselves but had lots of trouble connecting and getting wireless sound. Otherwise it’s hard to beat in terms of comfort and location.

Misleading hotel, unacceptable service, no refund – avoid

This was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I have ever had. I want to rate only one star with bad experiences.

I booked and prepaid a room for my brother and niece with two separate beds (twin beds) because He was traveling with his teenage daughter. At reception, staff acted as if they were upgrading us, saying we would get a “better room” and even promised that “all of London would be at our feet.”
Reality: the room was on the first floor, with no view, and it had only one double bed. This is NOT what I booked or paid for.
As a father traveling with a nearly 16-year-old daughter of my brother being forced into sharing one bed is completely unacceptable and inappropriate. The staff were arrogant, unprofessional, and wasted a huge amount of our time instead of solving the problem.
They did not stay at this hotel and had to book another hotel the same day.
The worst part: no refund was provided. Expedia and the hotel refused to refund the booking (over 500 USD) and Expedia offered only 50 travel points/credit, which is insulting.
Misleading promises, poor management, and no responsibility taken. Avoid this place.

Room was absolutely tiny. I couldnt even get round the bed. It was also almost impossible to sit at the desk (and I am not a big guy). I was travelling alone on a business trip, but this was supposedly a double room and two of us in here would have been very uncomfortable. The room bore no resemblence to the photo on the website other than the decor. Do not be fooled!!

Clean and modern spacious rooms. Love the location of the property as well, really close to the victoria train station and plenty of great restaurants within walking distance. Enjoyed the restaurants around. The only reason for a 4 star is because the rooms are so
spread out but there is only one way to exit the hotel….so which means you are walking through a maze for 8-10 mins every-time you need to find your way to the street….may not be an issue if you are in the main building.

Didn’t use the gym or go to the bar. The room was nice, modern and clean. There was a flickering light in the bathroom which didn’t really bother us and the mugs in the room were dirty but we didn’t use them anyway. The bed was comfy and the room is a good size. No wardrobe or anywhere to hang clothes which didn’t matter too much to us as we only stayed one night. The breakfast was good, a lot of choice. The hotel overall is very nice, clean, modern and central. We were a 15 minute walk/tube to Westminster, Piccadilly and Oxford. I would stay again.

Location of this hotel is very good and overall appearance of lobby and rooms is pleasing. Rooms were equipped with only one towel per guest, one pillow per guest and no additional blankets. Given the price of our stay there, we felt that the amenities provided wereless than adequate. On the second last day of our stay we woke up to find there was no water available. We were unable to shower or flush toilet. Water was not restored until later that evening. Staff provided no assistance or information to guests about what the problem was or when they expected it to be fixed. They just said that we were welcome to go elsewhere if we were annoyed about it. No offer of any form of compensation for inconvenience either. For all of these reasons I would never recommend this particular hotel.
