Hotel is being renovated so the rooms are all new and clean.

The breakfast was really good, I’m not a fan of Buffett breakfasts but this was the best I’ve had for a while’s

Hotel check in was very efficient, room was very clean and well equipped for our stay. City view was fantastic from the 9th floor. Breakfast was outstanding with lots of choice. The hotel location was perfect for access to the rest of London from Victoria and also for our show at the Victoria Theatre one night. Lots of bars, pubs, coffeehouses and places to eat within walking distance.

A large king bed suite. Large enough for more than 1 uncomfortable chair, could easily fit a small table and 2 chairs. Actually looked like wasted space.

Lighting in large good Bath very dim. More light please.

On 2 days (of 5) no room changeover before 6 pm.

Glasses in suite below standard for this type of property. Small, plastic, no wine glasses. Had to go to the bar to get ice.

Staff is uniformly excellent, the set backs are HQ choices.

I stayed here for two nights in April. I chose a room without windows, but i didn’t realize it would be located in the basement, which was a bit disappointing. The layout of the floor felt almost like a hospital, and the space was noticeably cold.

The breakfast dining hall was unexpectedly large. While some may appreciate the size, i personally prefer a more intimate setting with fewer people. On the positive side, there was a good variety of food available, and everything was fresh each morning.

The location so close to Victoria Station is just perfect for travelers. We enjoyed the excellent breakfast buffet, with its wide variety of hot and cold selections. Staff at checkin was less than charming, but efficient enough. Having a pot of coffee available in the lobby area for early morning travelers would be a welcome touch. Overall, convenient and satisfactory stay for the price.

We were very unhappy with our stay at this hotel after finding out that it does not allow luggage storage. I have travelled throughout Europe and have never stayed in a major hotel that does not provide this service, particularly to guests who have future reservations.

We will not be going back to this hotel

The location of Riu hotel was perfect. A short 5 minutes walk to Victoria Station subway. And 3 subway stations away from London's best attractions!
The breakfast was a game changer.
Comparable, in variety and quality to what you get on 5* cruises!
If you consider that the average price of a small cappuccino in London is 5 GBP, that buffet breakfast was amazing!

A lovely stay — would absolutely book again!

We had a really enjoyable stay at the Riu Plaza London Victoria and would have no hesitation recommending it. From the moment we arrived, the staff were exceptionally warm and welcoming — genuinely some of the friendliest hotel staff we have ever encountered. Nothing was too much trouble, and their helpfulness throughout our stay made a real difference.

Breakfast was a real highlight — the selection was fabulous, with a wide variety of hot and cold options that left us well and truly satisfied each morning. Definitely one of the better hotel breakfasts we have had.

The location is superb for exploring London. Victoria bus, train and tube stations are all just moments away, making travel around the city effortless. There is also a great range of eateries close by for lunch and dinner, and a large Sainsbury's nearby which is brilliantly handy for snacks, drinks or anything else you might need.

Our only downside was being placed in a basement room. We could hear the rumble of the Underground as well as the noise of rollers from suitcases and trolleys passing by overhead — not a deal-breaker, but worth requesting a higher floor when booking to avoid this.

Overall, a lovely stay with bags of character, a fantastic central location and genuinely outstanding service. We will absolutely be booking again — just not a basement room next time!

The Good: nice towels, clean, nice breakfast with many choices, very courteous porters; good location near Victoria Station
The Bad: a lobby overrun with guests awaiting to check in at 3pm, just awful; 2 petulant check-in clerks; a single occupancy room so small that the chair could not be pulled from the desk because of the proximiry to the bed, the small refrigerator door could only be opened half way; absolutely no space to open suitcase except in the hallway in front of the bathroom and room doors; the single rooms are isolated from the rest of the rooms and at the end of the hallway (think past 18 rooms, outside the hallway and next to a secondary elevator); banging on the ceiling and windows for several hours every night.
Spoke to the manager, he was dismissive and offered an upgrade for an additional £60. It’s not about the upgrade, it’s about providing the BASIC amount of space - enough room to be able to open luggage, even the luggage rack could not be opened without restricting the ability to move in the room. I asked the manager to come to the room and see for himself and his response is that he “knew” the room. Obviously he has never stayed overnight in the room and said he was “very busy”. I checked out a day early after having prepaid my stay; the night manager offered a better room but frankly I was done with this hotel. Never again with a RIU hotel.

Room was quite large and comfortable for the price point in London. Only issue was we had booked a deluxe double and was initially given an accessible room with one bed. Staff were quick to help and moved us to the correct room the next morning. Thank you!

The hotel is easily accessible as it is just across the road from Victoria Train Station. It was within walking directions to many tourist attractions and it was easy to jump on the tube to other sites, it is also right beside the taxi rank for the Victoria train station. The decor in the hotel was lovely, very modern and the hotel was exceptionally clean. The breakfast was great. There are nice restaurants, pubs etc extremely close to the hotel. We will be back! Thanks again for a wonderful stay.

The staff showed no interest in moving me to another room…. At £259 for a basement noisy room I will never stay in this hotel again.

We had a fantastic stay and honestly couldn’t fault a thing. The hotel was spotlessly clean and very well maintained throughout. Every member of staff we encountered was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, which really made a difference.

A special mention for the early check-in – we arrived in the morning and were pleasantly surprised to be in our room by 10am, even though the usual check-in time is 3pm. That was hugely appreciated and set the tone for the rest of our stay.

Breakfast was also fabulous, with plenty of choice and everything fresh and well presented.

There’s genuinely nothing negative I could say – everything exceeded expectations. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again.

Excellent location to the tube and bus station for both of my tours. Breakfast had a lot varieties and delicious. My 19 year old son was denied check in as my flight was delayed until the next day, even though his name was listed as a secondary guest and room was paid in full. I had to change my booking to reflect the reservation to have his name as primary. This should not be necessary, but he was allowed to have a room afterwards. It was tiring for him to arrive after flying in from the U.S. and stressed that he didn’t have a room. Staff should have looked at reservations carefully first time to see all the names of guests. Besides initial frustration, room was adequate and completely renovated. Recommend to stay here again in London.

I stayed here for a family trip to London. The hotel is so close to all the tourists sites and it is right beside Victoria Train Station and only a direct 30 minute train ride from Gatwick airport. The hotel is so tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. All 3 of us loved the quality of our breakfast as well. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Unfortunately we did not have time to try out the gym.

Hotel RIU Victoria was perfect for using public transportation to get to football stadiums around the city, including Émérites, Tottenham, and Chelsea. We were able to visit all the historical sites easily, as well, because of the hotel’s proximity to Victoria Station. The neighborhood was safe, day and night, for walking to the theater and restaurants.
The staff was remarkable for their help when our flights were canceled due to a blizzard in Boston.
I would definitely stay here again, and will seek out RIU hotels in other locations.

Rooms, like most in London were on the smaller side but worked well. Our room had a frosted window between the bathroom and bedroom which meant we woke up whenever one person used the bathroom. Breakfast is excellent. Check in, baggage storage and check out was very good. We arrived from overseas early in the morning and they gave access to one room by 9.30am. Near lots of local restaurants including a very good Indian restaurant.

The hotel is really lovely and is in a great location, just a 2 minute walk from Victoria. All areas of the hotel were spotlessly clean and decorated nicely. The bed was really comfy. Our only issue was the room had a separate WC with no sink and then a shower room with a sink. Hygienically not very good idea. Breakfast was exceptional. So much nicer than the usual standard breakfast. Shame they only use the lovely restaurant for breakfast though.
Overall a fantastic stay and would recommend.

This hotel was perfect for all the site seeing we wanted to do by foot. Close walk to Victoria Station. They had an amazing breakfast with very hot coffee and a variety of food for every palate. The room was clean and well stocked with a frig, iron, hair dryer & toiletries. Even a twin bed room was comfortable.
