Taxi dropped us off the hotel entrance. A doorman open the door and took our luggages. Greeted by another concierge to bring us to receptionist. We were seated by the fire place with some snacks and champagne. The experience was wonderful and friendly. The room was clean and quiet.

This hotel is the offspring of a five star hotel mating with a fine English club. The parents should be proud. The service is out of this world and the small scale gives the place true intimacy.

Hotel is tucked away to the side of Reubens Hotel. My guess is that this is (in essence) an annexe of the Reubens, probably sharing the kitchen and some staff. The entrance lobby is very small and not particularly glamourous and all the rooms are accessed by a compact lift that transports the guests to the fifth floor. One of the problems with this hotel is that there's only one lift and we had to (quite frequently) wait in a queue. Another problem we had was the fact that our room was above the kitchens and we woke up each morning to the smell of frying. I suspect the hotel needs to address this - possibly an extraction problem. Other than that, it was a good stay. It's a nice hotel with excellent service. But it's not the glamourous 5 star London aesthetic experience some might expect.

Hotel wasn’t very full so I got upgraded to a bit larger room with a wonderful little gas fireplace.
No restaurant, per se, instead there is a large and comfortable lounge area. Very clubby and comfortable, like the ones you may have seen in movies. Lovely glass ceiling to let in the light when not raining in London.
Great place to visit, work, relax, etc they serve breakfast lunch and dinner there, as well as cocktails. Plus all day coffee tea and snacks for free.
Rooms are delightful and great turndown service with a treat each night and a hot water bottle to take the chill out of the bed. A real wow factor

I had nothing but wonderful things to say, until I got the bill. Prices for the food were high, but clearly listed, so no objection there.
However there was a 20gbp per night service fee that came as a surprise. Also, I’m quite particular about my beverage, not expensive, but prefer to bring my own and pay the corkage fee. Unfortunately the DAILY corkage fee was more than the cost of the entire bottle.
I really hate surprises and this came as quite a shock to have over 200gbp in unexpected fees in a hotel already quite expensive.

No restaurant, per se, instead there is a large and comfortable lounge area. Very clubby and comfortable, like the ones you may have seen in movies. Lovely glass ceiling to let in the light when not raining in London.
Great place to visit, work, relax, etc they serve breakfast lunch and dinner there, as well as cocktails. Plus all day coffee tea and snacks for free.
Rooms are delightful and great turndown service with a treat each night and a hot water bottle to take the chill out of the bed. A real wow factor

I had nothing but wonderful things to say, until I got the bill. Prices for the food were high, but clearly listed, so no objection there.
However there was a 20gbp per night service fee that came as a surprise. Also, I’m quite particular about my beverage, not expensive, but prefer to bring my own and pay the corkage fee. Unfortunately the DAILY corkage fee was more than the cost of the entire bottle.
I really hate surprises and this came as quite a shock to have over 200gbp in unexpected fees in a hotel already quite expensive.
It turned what had been a superlative experience into one that really soured me on the hotel

The personal service provided by the staff at 41 was exceptional, we took advantage of every dining experience at the hotel; the pub, afternoon tea, the Curry Room, room service, and of course the Executive Lounge I spent hours using as a personal retreat in the morning and evenings, my wife taking advantage of the late night snacks, ice, and ice cream. The location is so perfect, in 3 minutes walking, you can reach Buckingham Palace, the Victoria Palace Theatre, Victoria Station, Belgravia, excellent shopping, banking services, and a host of other opportunities. Our room was huge, with a sitting area with its own tv, refrigerator, desk, coffee maker, large closet, and comfortable seating, sleeping area large, tv, outlets for charging your electronic devices, very comfortable, large bed, the bathroom, heated floor and towel rack, lighted magnifying mirror, shower, and nice soaking tub, laundry services were quick, same day return, the housekeeping staff did an exceptional job, going beyond straitening up the bed and changing towels, they would cleanup and arrange our items on the vanity, fold cloths left out, put shoes away, just complete personal service, and that describes the hotel in totality Complete Personal Service, beginning to end.

Very much enjoyed our stay. Concept of Concierge Floor worked for the way we travel. Service was efficient and accommodating. Location was central to our sight-seeing plans. Only negatives were the room was a bit small and could therefore use a little less furniture. And the window light was limited by the building's facade along the outside. Hence a bit claustrophobic.

The room had many luxurious extras; towel warmer, slippers, turndown service that included a fresh bottle of chilled water, personalized, handwritten note welcoming us and at the end of our stay stating how they enjoyed us. We did the breakfast each morning. Another example of exemplary. You get a flow of fresh baked pastries, croissants and scones. We also had the waffles and BAP sandwich. I think what makes Hotel 41 the best of the best is the staff. They are not only personable but extremely attentive. We will definitely be back.
