We just checked out yesterday morning. Excellent location in central London. Extremely comfortable bed and pillows. Walking distance to so many landmarks and only 1 block to Victoria Station for the Underground/Tube. Classic chic style decor in room. High ceilings and large windows. Excellent hair dryer with plug-in and mirror in the main bedroom area separate from the bathroom which was very convenient for getting ready in the mornings. Two USB plugs on each side of the bed for charging devices which meant we did not need adaptors for the plug-ins. Fridge and safe as well. Main floor decor stunning with several sitting areas to enjoy. Staff was wonderful and so helpful with any questions. Just steps away around the corner is a handy store for any drinks, snacks, fruit, etc you may want, we were there almost daily. Highly recommend Tophams.

We got to Tophams early and the maid made a big effort to clean our room so we could get in early. The room was always immaculate when we returned after a day out and about. The front desk was great and the breakfast employees were very nice and accommodating. Thanks for a great stay. See you next December!

We arrived and the elevator was out of service. We were early so we explored and when we came back later we were tired and laid down. It was later at night but it suddenly dawned on me that we did not have a king sized bed or larger room like I booked. We were too tired to go to desk so I waited until morning. The next morning I reported that we had been put in the wrong type of room. We were simply moved into the correct type of room. No apologies, no offer to reimburse me for the night we were in the wrong room. Nothing. If I hadnt complained, we wouldnt have even been moved. My husband is 6'3\" and slept in a full bed with his feet hanging off the bed because someone couldn't be bothered to put us in the correct room. When in the new room, the sink didn't work and a repair man had to be sent to fix that. We had to wash our hands in the bathtub until it was fixed. I overpaid for a hotel that is in a nice area, but other than that was not worth the money.

The lift was out of service for all three days of our stay. We were in the 2nd floor, we are over 60 years old. I would appreciate some token, such as one free breakfast to compensate for the inconvenience. Also the tea kettle was leaking and all the water spilled in the tray.

Hotel lobby, staff, restaurant and location are lovely. Bedrooms are a little dated and the bathroom featured a tub only with a handheld nozzle only and no glass partition or curtain which made showering less than ideal.

I was given a room on the fourth floor and the lift wasn’t working. I didn’t have a problem with stairs generally, but the ones here included extremely narrow winding stairs up to a very heavy fire door which I had to navigate with my own suitcases and which frankly felt dangerous. The room was tiny, again not normally a problem but the shower in the bathroom was so small that you couldn’t turn it on without it leaking all over the floor or entering it and closing the shower door and having a cold shower. there is no way this is a four star experience.

Staff were amazing. Breakfast was worth the add-on. We were treated with amazing customer service and provided with coffee, tea, water and/or cookies midday. The rooms are comfortable for European standards - not too big, but good rooms. The decor is stunning and there are cute little details that you’d only appreciate if you took the time to look, which I did. Every. Day. (5 day stay). Good location. We didn’t try any of the restaurants nearby due to our tours, but one pub. It was excellent for Sunday roast dinner. I would definitely come back.

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our stay here. It’s location near Victoria station and close to many of the must see sights of London made it an easy choice.
The beds were comfy and the staff was kind.

Tophams Hotel was an EXCELLENT choice for our three night London trip. The room is small, but contains everything we needed. The bed and pillows are inviting and encouraged a later wake up than planned. Location couldn’t be better as it sits a short walk from Victoria Station, a tube station with easy access to Heathrow Airport and connects to many tube lines, bus lines and trains. There is a Big Bus stop at the station also (convenient…. But I was very displeased with that service. More to come with my review of items purchased with City pass. We would definitely stay here again!!!

Very nice hotel, friendly staff and walking distance to major transportation and attractions. Our room was a bit warm since the A/C wasn't working properly. We Didn't mind since we opened the windows and let the cool night air in. Continental Breakfast is provided at an additional cost and if you would like something cooked it's at another cost. I would still stay here again it's centrally located and the hotel is lovely.

It appeared clean and in an exceptional location (being near Victoria Station transportation hub). I didn’t have much interaction with staff and they didn’t solicit feedback when I checked out. The room was nice but a bit too tiny to maneuver with convenience. The queen bed was actually a double and the room got too warm at times - so I used a fan. Air conditioning was not functioning.

We booked the hotel due to proximity to Victoria station. All staff we encountered we helpful and polite. The reception lounge areas are really welcoming. Our room was cozy but well presented, good storage and the mini fridge was big enough to chill our wine. Complimentary water. The bed was comfortable, great shower. Would recommend and stay again.

Excellent service. Loved the beautiful location. Room on the small side but understandable given the age of the building. On a slight negative side: we did not care for the strong fragrance in the room when we first arrived. (Some people love fragrances, we do not). We had to open our windows to let it vent and set the sign to not clean room so as to avoid getting more of the fragrance. Our luggage even smells of it on our return home.

My sister and I had a lovely 3-night stay at Tophams Hotel. Extremely comfortable, quiet room on the second floor, and the hotel is in such a charming area of the city; it was so quiet, you’d have no idea that you’re just down the street from Buckingham Palace! Minutes from Victoria Station, we ate several times at the Market Hall by the station - the egg sandwiches are incredible! Would definitely stay here again if we ever return to London!

Great location close to Victoria station but still in a quiet street. Hotel was clean and new. Nice look and feel to the hotel.

Rooms however are extremely small. We also woke up every morning around 7 am from all the other hotel guests getting up. There is basically no noice isolation between the room and corridor and other rooms.

Very convenient for Victoria Station and yet quiet. Our room was small and the bathroom down 6 steps. Not great for two pensioners! The bed was nice and firm and we slept well despite it being ultra cosy! Overall a nice hotel but quite expensive for what it was.

Advertised and paid for superior room this is only a double. Small cold dirty room, bathroom smelt of drains and dirty facilities. No bar or reception staff at any point. Was told they had a facility to use whilst we waited for an our, this was a single toilet with a filthy floor. Breakfast staff were rude, would never book this hotel again. Advertised as a 4* this is a 2 or 3 at best and that’s for the location

The hotel was an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was impeccably clean and worth the little extra for the added space. We chose this hotel for its location to Victoria Coach Station and Victoria Underground; both were minutes away - it was an easy walk with luggage.
Tophams is a perfect location for exploring the city and attractions at and near Buckingham Palace, about a ten-minute walk. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable stay!!
