We booked a Superior King room for 3 nights. We got an accessible King room (we did not request accessible room) with decor not that is completely different from any of the photos on the hotel rooms on Expedia's Park Plaza Victoria London Hotel. There is no dresser, no drawer in the room. Ladies beware - you will not find a socket to plug in hair dryer by a mirror ! The glass top of the desk and the bed side tables are covered with dust. When we check-in the Reception told us there is constructions and warned us about noise level, but not the dust. We clean the dust up and when we returned to the room in the evening the glass tops are again covered with dust. As soon as we checked in the hotel we noticed that the shower door could not be closed completely and we informed the reception immediately. They sent someone to check and they fixed the problem the next day. But House Keeping did not clean up the bathroom or replaced all the used towels which were left on the floor (as per instructions of the hotel to leave used towels on the floor). On the third day the Shower Door could not be closed again (same issues as on the first night). We also received email the night before the check-in time that we can check in on line. We used the link to check in. The Hotel prompted us to select no service to clean/ make the room for 3 days which we declined. Understand bedsheet may not be changed everyday but no cleaning for 3 days meaning no clean towels or garbage bin?

The room was great!!!! However we were given a $10 coupon for food because we opted not to have our room cleaned everyday. But it was very difficult to use. They didn’t explain all the restrictions. So, we saved it to use for breakfast our last morning there. They said no. We had room service and asked if they could give us back $10. Nope again. All they could offer us was a bottle of wine. We were traveling that day and we don’t drink wine. So, moral of the story, get your room cleaned instead of an elusive $10. By the way, on the card itself it just said we couldn’t use it for alcohol.

Their clean initiative of having the maid come ever 3 days was really great since we didn't need them everyday. In return the hotel gave us vouchers for food and bottles of wine. Check in was easy and check out was even easier. I felt very safe in the hotel because to access the floors with rooms you required your key card for the elevator. Overall, a very clean, modern hotel in the middle of London.

Lovely room, however would have preferred a non adjoining room, as it was a bit noisy.

Breakfast was good, beans were a little cold.

Check out was very swift, handed over room keys and that was it, I was surprised not to have asked how was our stay!
I thought that would be the most courteous thing to ask!

The room was clean and quiet, and the location was very good. The only important issue for me was the very limited range of options for people with gluten and lactose intolerance.

I believe that many guests have specific dietary needs, yet they pay the same price for breakfast. However, the selection of gluten-free products was very limited. There were some cheeses available, but no alternatives for those who cannot eat cheese made from cow’s milk.

I would also suggest placing clear labels next to the food items so that guests can easily see the ingredients and determine whether the products are suitable for them. This does not seem difficult to implement. Otherwise, guests have to ask the staff about each item, for example, whether it contains gluten or cow’s milk.

Nowadays, such products are not significantly more expensive than regular ones, and providing a wider selection would be a positive gesture showing that all guests are welcome at breakfast.

A mixed experience - some great aspects to this hotel - the location is second to none - just a few steps from Victoria station and Wicked show at Apollo Victoria. The playroom on the first floor was a very pleasant surprise and much enjoyed by my 11 year old niece - giant connect 4, a football table and a small snooker table (the white snooker ball was missing but we used the yellow).

The bedroom was great - we stayed executive suite with sofa bed - the king bed was a really generous size and we requested the bathroom with a bath rather than the rooms with only a shower which did delay our check in (on time around 3pm) or we would have been able to check in early! The room inspection didn’t pick up the missing items - catered for 2 with cups, glasses and towels and the luxury Espa hand soap by the basin, the body wash in the shower and the hand soap for the bath were all empty. Also no complimentary bottles of water in the room as I would usually receive and have come to expect.

The room itself was also very cold on arrival, took time to heat up, got very cold again throughout the evening - we requested and appreciated receiving an extra duvet.

The bathroom - bath cleaning could also benefit from some attention to detail to clean the drain areas that fill with other guests hair etc

The breakfast was disappointing - for a Sunday advertised 7-11am I was told on 3 occasions that at 10.20 I had arrived late for breakfast - the choices were limited (see photos) - no croissant

Breakfast was okay but not amazing. Was decent but chose to skip it on the second morning. The gents toilet in the lobby was blocked and smelled pretty bad on the day we arrived though I was informed they would fix it as soon as I mentioned it to the barman.

On the positive side, the room was lovely and spacious. They allowed us to check in early and gave us drinks vouchers and a bottle of red wine for the room. Staff were friendly and well trained.

This place has good and bad.
The rooms are adequate and comfortable.
There isn’t very good soundproofing.
I had to change rooms 3 times because the AC wasn’t working and I ended up having an asthma attack due to the ongoing issue.

Bring ear plugs and sound machine if you want to actually sleep.

I had issues in all the rooms that were electrical related. If it wasn’t the AC it was lights or the TV.
I found it to be a very stressful stay. Don’t depend on these people to do anything with any sort of hurry. The check in was absurd. I got there at 1pm asked to check in they said I must wait until 3. I came back at 3:30 and was told it would be an additional hour and half wait. Or I could take a lesser room than what I paid for.
Room service people were nice
One of the maintenance guys is really nice.
Front desk staff are yes men with zero follow through. If you need a taxi don’t ask them do it yourself. It was close to Victoria Station and that was convenient. Will I ever stay again, NO!

Paid to upgrade to a king size suite. Bed was double at best. Hairdryer and iron did not work. On the Saturday was woken at 8.00 am by the sound of work men drilling in the floor above. This carried on for a good hour. There was no mention of this at check in. Complained at Reception who gave us a £10 credit at the bar. Considering previous night round of drinks had cost £30 this seemed completely unacceptable.

Hotel is ideally located close to Victoria Underground, with various amenities. Hotel was very clean, and staff were really friendly. Priyanka was very helpful at check in. We did not use the Restaurant as we are fussy eaters. Only negative which is very minor for our lovely stay, pillows quite uncomfortable, but that wont put me off staying again.

Perfect stay to end our holiday

This hotel was a breath of fresh air and just what we needed on day 9 of our European trip. We had already stayed at 2 boutique hotels on this trip - one in another part of London and another in Paris. They had their charm and positives for what they were. But, the Park Plaza was so spacious and inviting, plenty of appointed furniture to spread out, and a shower and tub in the bathroom. Great location close to the Victoria tube station, and the breakfast was varied and tasty. We stayed for 2 nights.

Overall Good Stay, With a Couple of Minor Issues

Overall, the stay was good. Only complaints were the bathroom door didn't latch properly and the air con was weak. Everything else was nice. Really appreciated the rewards for opting for reduced housekeeping. The staff was helpful and the room was surprisingly quiet for a corner room.

Good points: very clean. Nice room of a good size.
Not so good points: Very inattentive and miserable looking staff. No explanation of when our room would be ready when we arrived, literally just told it’s still dirty but you can leave your bags and come back later.
No welcome at breakfast, couldn’t even raise a smile and then shown to table and left to work out what to do - basically totally self service including drinks, previously hot drinks were brought to you.
For a relatively expensive one night stay in a premium hotel you’d expect more.

Irritating negotiation at reception

Overpriced four-star. They offer breakfast at 17 pounds but only if you agree to all breakfasts at the hotel during your stay; if not, it’s 25 pounds. Then they offer a bottle of wine or restaurant coupons in lieu of daily room cleaning. Annoying negotiations to cut costs, extract more money from guests. A turnoff.

Just some feed back for ways to improve the hotel:
The smell of the floor cleaner in the lobby was very harsh, The water runs very hot, and the soap dispensers, particularly in the shower, were difficult to use. The lighting in the bathroom is poor, and ours flickered. Unfortunately, one cannot use the hair dryer in the bathroom due to lack of an appropriate outlet, so my husband woke up if I had to dry my hair.
