My stay here was just okay, overall clean sheets and a place to crash and it was fine, but I took issue with a few things. First, the draining system in the washrooms was terrible—you had to wade through a puddle from the open shower stall just to use the toilet. And no hand soap was provided. Additionally, I stayed in a 12 bunk room. There were only two other guests there that night. Rather than spacing us out, I was assigned a bunk directly above one of the other guests, when we could have easily each had our own row. This caused uncomfortable crowding and a poorer sleep quality. I would highly suggest to management that you spread out guests when bookings are low for a better experience for everyone.

This place is really out of the way from transportation. I only stayed here because i had an early bus to catch from Victoria Station. The building is very dated with wooden floors where the floor creaks loudly with every step. The door to the rooms automatically slams shut loudly. The triple bunk beds squeaks loudly when anyone on the bed moves. The hostel is also situated on a frequent traveled road, so there is a lot of noise from the cars outside. Overall, it was impossible to sleep due to the noise. I ended up staying up all night before having to depart for my early bus.

Great service and safe luggage space.

It was lovely, but hard to find my bed in the dorm of 12 as I was coming after midnight and didn’t want to wake up anyone. Toilet had some water on the floor but I think it was from the shower, I have tiny bladder so during the night I had to go and I was wearing only socks and they got completely wet :) other than that the staff were lovely, they have a very safe place for luggages which was very important to me.

Decent place to stay for the price.

As others have mentioned, when showering, the entirety of the bathroom floor gets wet which isn’t fun if you go to the bathroom after someone else.

Don’t forget to bring your own towel, or you’ll have to buy one for £7.50.

Beds being 3 high is a bit awkward height wise

Not worth the money

The check in was easy. There were not enough bathrooms for the number of people staying, I had to wait for a long time to use the bathroom and when in there, the floor was flooded, and sink wasn’t fit for purpose (didn’t rinse toothpaste away, couldn’t rinse mouth). The guests in the room were noisy including one drying her hair at 10.30pm, and another having an alarm go off at 5.30am for half an hour until someone asked her to turn it off. The room was noisy and bright from the street.

I ended up deciding to leave my second night because I didn’t get ANY sleep the night prior and was super jet lagged.
Pros- I like the location, the proximity to Victoria station and attractions is good. I was able to walk everywhere. The hostel was clean and the staff were excellent. It seems the Hostel had recently been redone so the bathrooms and bedrooms were very nice for such an old building. The beer and pizza were also really great.
Cons - I just had a hard time with the comfort of the accommodations. There were nine people in my room and two snorers (no fault to the hostel). The doors were very loud (opening/closing) and the walls thin (you could constantly hear the hand dryers in the bathroom). The bed/pillow wasn’t very comfortable (very firm) and the room was very hot.
So, overall, if you are a light sleeper who needs a soft bed this won’t be for you. But, if you like staying in hostels this one was very nice.

Location was brilliant as I was going to a gig at Cadogan Hall in Slone Square. However showers all had black mould on them, toilets were dirty and one of the two sinks was leaking. Room floor squeaked every time anyone moved - not great for 24 sharing. Bed was ok. No where to store anything near the bed and limited access to plugs. Breakfast was cereal and milk - no good for me as lactose intolerant.

Convenient to Victoria Station and a quick tube ride to anything. Beds were comfortable and clean. Bathroom/showers left something to be desired. It was perfect for a hot meal and a good sleep during my travels. I will definitely stay again.

Limited bathrooms and showers.. pretty old place (toilets were VERY difficult to flush). Rooms are super cramped. Nice that there is a pub downstairs. Breakfast was very limited.. just white toast, butter, some jam, and some cereal. About a 15 minute walk to victoria station, but other than that, not much in the area.
5 pounds/towel.. pretty steep :/

You can do better.

The hostel is right above a pub. While noise was not a problem for me (I was staying on the 2nd floor), I did hear others complaining. The toilet on my floor failed to flush for the entirety of my stay (5 days) and the hot water was out for most of my time there. The staff was friendly enough and attentive when I had questions. The room could have been cleaner. (There were many dust bunnies under the bottom bunk I occurred as well as paper and other small bits of trash.) The shower died while in used. It's located about 14 mins walk from Victoria station which is a plus, especially when buses are running. The rooms are tiny though. I had a room for 9 people that consisted of 3 bunk beds and little floor space. Only one outlet for the entire room. Some of the wooden slats kept coming out of place on so this made sleeping an interesting test in balance for some of the bunkers. If you need a cheap place to crash for a night or two and expect to be out a lot, it could work for you.

Absolutely convenient :near Victoria Coach station

It's about less than 10 minutes walk near victoria coach station, so anyone having to catch it early morning should have a look. However, the dorm was poorly heated, corridors outside were warmer.
Staff was helpful to let me take a breakfast early morning, but he forgot to ask me if i checked-out. Guest dont need to make the bed and dont need to remove covers. No kitchen for guest, but the hostel have a bar and homemade burgers.

The stay and price was very good. I think with a tiny more investment this hostel would be fab. The investment could be in the breakfast. There was only one toaster (6slots) so if you have 75 beds maybe a get extra toaster.

Worst hostel I've stayed at so far

I've stayed in at least a dozen hostels so far and this was the worst, definitely. Felt like everything was broken here, from the wi-fi, to the bathrooms. The beds are very squeaky as well. The whole place was very grimy and old looking. Avoid.

My brilliant stay at the White Ferry hostel in Vic

I always love coming to stay at this hostel in Victoria. Its a brilliant ideal location for me what with usually arriving by megabus/national express into the coach station. Its such a lovely area and easy to get to the hostel from there too so love staying plus all the shops nearby and buses too with plenty of places to eat at and even a library near too which is very handy for me!! Have booked to stay again in just over a week and cant wait :)

Handy for Victoria Station, Friendly Staff!

I booked a mixed dorm for 9 - room 2 was adequate, with enough power points and lockers..if not a bit cramped with all the suitcases! There are showers a floor below - however, one hasn't had the light fixed since my last stay several months ago, so you still need to shower in the dark!!! Hot water is plentiful, though...The staff were very friendly and accommodating...Breakfast is a continental one with cereal and toast, coffee, tea and orange juice - there is just one toaster for ALL guests,though, so there can be a queue and I didn't have time to wait one morning...Thank you to James the barman and the Andreas for their help!

Exactly what it says on the tin

Didn't pay much so didn't expect much. Room was basic with storgae and a bed. Shower rooms were a bit dirty but I don't think they had made it that far in the cleaning yet.
Highlight of this place is the bar downstairs which has a good selection of beers and ales. The night porter was friendly and chatty for 2 in the morning.
If you want a decent hostel in a good central location in London, look no further

I would rate this worse if I could. Lose my money

I couldn't even stay there. The staff was not nice at all, and worst security couldn't be worst, the day I book for a bed in the hostel all the guests had been stolen and then I found out that was the third time in a week. It was not possible to close the doors because the security system was broken and the lockers were in a really bad condition too. One of the beds got broken when I was there and the bathrooms and the only shower were really disgusting. The stuff they sale is really expensive and I really thing if I am going to pay what they ask they can at least make the room a little bit more comfortable

Good location and good price

Hostel was in a good location, <15 minute walk to all major sites in the area. The room was okay, I was in a 10 bed room. The bathroom did not appear to be cleaned on a daily basis. Breakfast was provided on a daily basis and was you standard continental breakfast. For the price and location, I would recommend.

It was ok. With having such an array of nationalities, it would be hard to have a really clean facility so truly considering, it was fine. Never had to wait on toilet or shower. Breakfast was usually put out early (I am an early riser). Staff very friendly.

Convenient Location for Victoria Station

Only stayed for 1 night. Room was pretty big with 4 triple bunk beds. Needs more than 2 outlets for so many people or individual outlet at each bed like other hostels. Bathrooms were mixed gender and could use a refurbish. The pub was quite cute. The area was pretty dead at night but 5 minute walk from Victoria station which was great since I had to catch an early coach.

I mostly came back to sleep there only while being out all day. Initially booked for 1 night only nut extended to two more nights simply bcos of the convenience. Walking distance to Victoria coach and train station was great. And bus stop outside the hostel. And I enjoyed my casual walks to St James park, Buckingham Palace, national art gallery, all over westminister, trafalgar square.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Simple but plenty of breakfast provided.

My Favorite Hostel in London

I've stayed here several times now when passing through. Staff have always been super helpful and most are mutli-lingual.
Facilities have been clean and in good repair. The pub is open 24hrs to guests, so it's a nice bonus as well.
If possible, book the rooms with fewer beds. The 20 bed room can be a bit much for some people. I book the 12bed room and it's considerably quieter.

Guests are from all over the place, and generally you can have a great chat and make new friends.

The worst place to EVER stay.

On my arrival, first thing I was asked for was I.D.which I was not informed of when booking as I am british citizen.Then I was asked for further £18:47, which caught me off guard as far as I was concerned I had paid in full on booking. I tried to explain to the young man that I had already paid in full online, but the guy was not at all interested, then I had to phone hotels uk and then they spoke to him, at which point he said ts ok, thereis no charge.
I am a 16 stone big built man, the staff thought it was amusing to put me on the top bunk, which was over 8ft high, almost touching the ceiling, when I asked the guy at reception that, could I possibly move to the bottom bunk as not only do I not feel safe that high, but I have to get up really early and if I AM on the top bunk it would disturb others. I was point blank told 'NO'. I then asked if I was to fall and get hurt would he take responsibility, I was then told \"NO' and if I carried on or changed the bunk bed I would be thrown out of the hostel. So, I shut My mouth and made do with what I had. Only to find in the morning, beds were still vacant.
I got up to use the bathroom, ALL the toilets were blocked, showers were disgustingly dirty, I just packed my stuff and left.
The only light was the girl at the reception on my way out.

You get what you pay for

I use the ferry ALL/every time I come to London--why?its handy for Victoria bus station the food and drink prices are reasonable by London prices, but the staff are very helpful and friendly,they manage to get me a bottom bunk IF asked in advance,very good for a 67 year old recovering from a fractured femur the top bunk is out of reach David, Patricia,phoebe the manageress, and guillemine the night shift guy are on the ball.
Yes the ferry is tired looking and in urgent need of refurbishment,but the sheets are clean and changed on a daily basis by some fit young man, if the toilets and shower area leave much to be desired that's down to the kids using it, not the staff,there's probably a shortage of sinks on level juan --apart from that it's ok

Quarto no último andar, sem elevador, escadas mal cabiam os pés, Wi-Fi não pegava no quarto, e o pior após um dia de passeio cheguei cansado fui tomar banho e não tinha água quente no hostel, tomei banho gelado com uma temperatura de 1 grau no momento, no outro dia de manhã, fui tomar banho e acreditem, estava sem água horrivel.
