This is a super clean and modern Japanese hotel. Perfect location for Gora. Restaurant was not open Mondays in hotel but several restaurants available within minutes. Breakfast was unusual but plentiful and the service was just lovely by all staff. Left bags when we checked in early and they took them to our room when’s/

I overall had a good experience at WPU HOTEL HAKONE. The staff were kind and helpful. Breakfast was included which was nice. The breakfast itself was a buffet style where you had to book a time slot. This wasn't too bad and if you needed to change the time between days, they would try to acommodate it. My only complaint is that for a modern stay, they should have more amenities such as a hair tools. I purposely did a short weekend trip and thought they would provide hair tools since there was also an onsen but they only had hair dryers. Unfortunately the one I got worked but the handle was broken.

The Hotel location is really convenient. It is next to Gora station where the Hakone ropeway is. Hakone Open Air Museum and Hakone Gora Park are walkable as well. The staff are great, helpful and courteous, I arrived an hour before check in so left my bags and by the time I got back hours later, I just needed to get my keys and my bags are already in my room. Breakfast is good and enough to start your day. I also tried their dinner and I would recommend to do it at least once in your stay. The amenities and facilities are great, they have a microwave and kettle available for use as well as utensils. I liked their onsen and laundry facilities. They also have a shared space for guests to use to eat and relax and mingle with other guests.

Excellent stay! I stayed here many times when the property was Emblem Flow before changing names. Nothing has really changed. Great staff - very friendly and welcoming. Nice restaurant and bar with a wonderful breakfast. Also appreciated the small onsen area. I highly recommend if you're looking for an affordable stay in Gora.

The onsen wasn't working due to heavy rain. We were sent to another hotel to use their onsen about a 6-7 min walk away but it did subtract from the experience. I understand nature is out of our hands but I feel like the hotel could have offered something out of the minibar complimentary due to the inconvenience of it.

Loved our stay in the emblem flow hostel. It was so close to gora station, the onsen was great, we got a private room and it was so clean, nice and comfortable. we were celebrating our honeymoon and our room had a nice welcome gift and celebratory note, it was so so nice. I stayed here for one night with my wife. It’s right next to Gora station so very convenient. It was clean and modern and had a great little onsen too. The staff were brilliant - very happy to help. There was a good breakfast included with the room. I would definitely recommend.

Hakone-Gora is a quiet area near the base of the cable cars taking you up for a My Fuji view. There are a few eateries and bars but not much else, and the eateries close early. As such it is great if you want a relaxing night and the Emblem Flow has great Japanese style rooms and a terrific Onsen, Also looks to be a good base for walking in the area. We loved it after the bustle of Tokyo.

Our stay here was wonderful. The room was spotless and the staff were incredibly kind. The onsen is small (max 6 ppl) but that was never an issue. The included breakfast was a smallish buffet style of mostly western type foods, salads, scrambled eggs, yogurt, breads. The convenience of the location, minutes away from Gora station, made arriving and doing the Hakone loop so easy! Lovely spot overall.

The only negatives for us were the beds are very firm. A great, affordable hotel right by Gora station - perfect location for exploring Hakone. We opted for a private room which was lovely and comfortable. The onsen facilities are only open to guests and while small are very pleasant, and the number of people is limited at any one time. Even the snacks and drinks in the minibar were very reasonably priced and locally sourced. Thoroughly recommended!

This is a great central spot in Gora. The only complaint we had as a group was the lack of walkable restaurants that were open on any given day (not the hotels fault). Breakfast was really good, staff is friendly, the onsen is nice and intimate. Overall nice home base for exploring hakone... Definitely worth buying the hakone transit multi day pass.. Ooo and the open air museum was fantastic!!

The proximity to bus stops and the train station made it very convenient for getting to and from the hotel and also for going out for the day. If having large luggage, please note you need to walk down and up a few stairs to get to hostel via a small tunnel next to Gora station. We had a great one-night stay at Emblem Flow. The hotel was clean and comfortable, actually much more comfortable than we expected. The room was simple, yet cozy. We were able to spend the evening with the window open onto the balcony, so peaceful. The staff was kind. The onsen was really nice as well. And the property was ideally situated next to the Gora station, which you could access in under 1 minute using an under passage, though we couldn't hear the trains or cable cars from the room.

Good capsule hotel in an expensive tourist town. Location is great as it just next to the train / tram station. Onsen is over my expectations because it is naturally flow from the mountain. I did not try the food there but they look great. Staffs with good English and very helpful. The downside is that it gets full easily, I stay two nights in Hakone but it was full even I book well advance.

Perfection! I was traveling solo, although I am a guide and usually plan tours for groups. Spotlessly clean, wonderful staff, the onsen was superb and the restaurant was very welcoming for a solo traveler. I was in a women's dorm room and it was terrific. I have stayed at many, many hostels over the years and many of them can be a bit grotty but Emblem Flow Hakone has changed my perspective. There were a number of things that were special: a curtain could be drawn around each bed, each sleeping area had its own charging station and night light, each had a small lockable storage area inside the sleeping area, although I didn't feel the need to lock up my stuff. The location is incredibly convenient for people traveling via train or bus. I look forward to returning to Emblem Flow when I come back to Hakone.

A four day stay here was lovely. The location is ideal for enjoying Hakone. The room is generously sized and very comfortable. The onsen is not particularly picturesque, but it was clean, relaxing and felt like an authentic experience. The staff could not be kinder or more hospitable. Breakfast was nice, with fruit, yogurt, cereal and a yummy soup offered buffet style to enjoy before your plated egg and salad course arrive. Would definitely stay again.

Worth noting for anyone visiting in the next couple of months that the train line from Hakone-Yumoto to Gora is currently out of action due to typhoon damage, so this place is not easily accessible.
