It’s good enough for bed and shower for the money. The room has a twelve inch CRT none working tv. The hot water was not working. It could use a new drapes and new tile grout in the shower. We old ladies were on the fourth floor and the elevator quit working. Not good for the knees. Staff were friendly.

The only good thing is the breakfast buffet. It includes mostly PH. dishes. We only ate the egg, fruit, and coffee. Small room. The walls are paper thin. Everyday there were kids yelling and screaming from 6 AM! The TV is dismally TINY! Literally the size of an A4 paper. The hotel is far from city center. It is surrounded by slums. Quite unsafe to walk around at night.

The good... Walking distance to Robinsons Galleria, spacious superior room, reasonably priced menu in resto, helpful staff altho I wish they'd smile more.

The bad... Not much offered for westerners for breakfast; since my superior room was taken by guest for late check out until 6pm, I was given lower level standard instead until guest left - seriously? Shared the superior room with a mouse for 2 days again with an apology since the 3rd floor room is connected to the roof supposedly. Toilet failed to flush so was offered a pail and bucket with an apology once again. Shower area tiles could use a very good cleaning.

So this is what you can expect for this price. At least now I know. Won't recommend.

On arriving-my 3rd. I was sick

On my 3rd day me and a friend went to Robinson s S-M were of all places ate at KFC and I hate corn salad and it was BAD!! Couldn't sit up at the computer for 5 minutes and just stayed in bed for pretty well the next 8 days..During that time the workers were so kind-nice to me.My friend went and got us breakfast every day.They let me keep my Gatorade in the frig on the 1st. floor and always so so very helpful to me.They would pick up my clothes and send them out to get them washed..I could order food from the 1st. floor and they would bring it to my room and all the workers were always asking about me-how I was feeling and so on......So after my 2 weeks I was still very weak and didn't want to leave and they let me stay another 3 weeks until I can get my strength back....Over all I rate this hotel and the workers a A+ ^^,

Not the best hotel to spend your first night in

Arrived pretty late. The staff were nothing but friendly on check in and the next morning for breakfast. The room itself was very old, a bit dirty and the air con was the loudest things I've ever heard. The walls are very thin and you could hear everything in rooms and the corridor.

I will not recommend city should renew there business license the rooms are so dirty there toilet are so uncomfortable water pressure is so low you have to stand and wait for water I wanted to leave but could not get my money back breakfast was so nasty you cannot even look being vegetarian there is nothing only bread or watermelon if you want to toast a bread you have to use oven because they don’t have bread toaster it’s just a attraction free breakfast but there is nothing you can eat bread and pineapple jam 4 days I live with boil eggs !! Please think before you book this hotel it’s not worth if they let you live free !!

Chose this hotel due to the proximity to ferry piers to Bohol. Its walking distance to Robinsons is a bonus. My check-in was really fast and efficient - thank you! I didn't expect nor receive much for this price range. Room needs a renovation and some deep cleaning. Water pressure and Internet speed needs a boost. Free breakfast buffet not that great but better than expected. Mattress was really comfortable. Staff was very responsive and helpful. I would come back.

This hotel was disappointing. The rooms didn't have windows to the outside. The shower was full of mold. The photos are misleading. I ordered a room with what seemed to be a full size bed. When I got there it was a room with a child's bed. I asked to be moved which they obliged so I appreciate that. The new room was only a small step up. There was still mold in the shower but I was tired of fighting though so I just went with it. The internet is excruciatingly slow. The area also isn't the best. I wouldn't recommend a single female stay there. Finally it wasn't that much cheaper than other hotels in better areas.

Decent Budget Hotel

This is a decent budget hotel. Older facility but it was clean. The room had aircon, hot shower, and comfortable bed. The location is also very close to Robinsons Galeria Mall which is very convenient. I got exactly what I paid for. The staff was very friendly and allowed me to check in early at no extra charge.

Check in was okay. We paid $10 more for an additional bed for each night. Place is a short walk away from the new Robinson's mall and maybe a 5-minute drive to SM city mall. You could walk to SM city mall as you could see it once you go out of the hotel but it's pretty hot. Reception area was small and sometimes the smell of the washroom would reach the reception area. Building is old, the rooms are still using the key. The standard room is very small and the tv is old. The shower is also old. Breakfast buffet is pretty good. Rooms are cleaned only by request. Rooms need a lot of updating. This hotel is good for an overnight stay or if all you need is a place to sleep.

One thing that is working good for the hotel is the opening of Robinson Mall just across the street, and a 7/11 place is being constructed. It is good because it is near the piers

I enjoyed the service here. Breakfast is basic but filling. A fantastic new mall opened across the street. It has Buzz Cafe, which is a great draw. (I also stayed at the Bohol Bee Farm hotel.) I would stay here if you are looking for good service and don't mind taking a cab to get to more central areas.

Overall decent place to stay, but not fancy.

There's a really nice shopping center just across the road from Pier Cuatro, but it's very out of place in the neighborhood. Everything else is rather impoverished and a local family advised that it probably wasn't best for me to walk around the area at night. The hotel has a guard 24 hours/ day, so you're safe in there, and hotel staff were VERY helpful in answering my questions about how best I should travel to get to my destinations. They looked up jeepney lines and everything for me. The room was decent to the eye, though the TV shelving units mean that there is just a single board between your room and your neighbor's TV. My neighbor liked to use their TV, so I heard it every day until they went to bed, and first thing when they woke up in the morning. The shower had low pressure, which seems to be a widespread occurrence in the Philippines. It made it difficult to get my hair clean over the course of my trip. They provide soap, but not shampoo, which you have to purchase from the main desk. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of options and the options changed from day to day.

I chose this hotel because of the good reviews online, it is affordable, clean, and near the pier area. The room I chose was small but I transferred to a bigger room, it was clean and the shower was good. Breakfast was acceptable, and food in general for lunch or dinner was good. The area surrounding the hotel is not for wandering about, but it is walking distance to the pier. It is not far from SM mall, but taxi is neede. I had to take the ship to Cebu so it was practical. I would stay again at this hotel.

It was a pleasant stay. The hotel is in good condition. Rooms are of good sizes. It has .5 bathroom with basic amenities. One thing I love is the breakfast it offers. Check it for yourself. You won't be disappointed. At night, there's karaoke at the Mezzanine - fun and one can meet other guests. Staff is welcoming. Good value for your money.

We stayed there on two different occasions on this trip to Cebu. Breakfast was not fancy but was nutritious and tasty. Like their coffee machine. Courtesy local newspaper was available. Staff was helpful, especially the security people. The room was clean. The bathroom was clean. Definitely would stay there again.

The first thing we need to remember- we should expect what we would pay for. I would say this hotel is a good value for money. It is mainly suitable for frequent travellers, backpackers etc. We must remember it is a budget hotel not any luxurious one. But the hotel is so clean. Great stuffs and great breakfast which is included with the room charge. Air-conditioned. But in my room there wasn't any window to open. There was window but locked or not suitable to open which I found common in Philippines. No restaurant or good shops next to the hotel. You need to rely on hotel restaurant though they are very good. I'll stay there on my next trip. Thanks expedia and thanks Pier Cuatro...

Clean confortable hotel near the pier

We stayed overnight before catching the ferry to Manila. The building is old but very clean, our room had 2 confortable double beds, a small table with 2 chairs and cable tv. There is a small restaurant in the ground floor with room service and it is located 5 minutes from pier 1.

Took about a 30 minute journey to get there from the airport. The hotel is not in the best area - headed towards the pier which is filled with trucks, homeless people and stray dogs.
The room itself is a decent size, but the shower is embarrassingly bad, and didn't get warm at all during my stay there.
All the negatives are a shame, because the hotel layout is very nice and staff are friendly.
Wifi service was not working on the first night and then terribly slow for the rest of my stay. Better off to stay elsewhere in my opinion.

This was not my first time here, but I must really say that this place has improved super! a complete turn-around. great service, great deluxe room, but didn't care as much for the regular room we got for our family. This place is where we always stay when we are departing back to the U.S. The costs for the rooms are ok. They do give a senior citizen discount, nice! Let me tell you the reason why we stay here... The food they cook is so delicious. There were no problems with this visit we had. In the past, problems with people trying to scam any way possible, and people asking for money, people trying to overcharge for taxi's, and they would just keep bugging us, security before was on their side with all the problems such as scammers, etc. BUT now it is the exact opposite, great place now. Keep in mind its just a regular but a nice interior type hotel. I really have been waiting to do a review for this place because it was a shock how well it is now. As always, We will stay here again and again.

We got more than what we paid for

First of all, I would like to commend their staff for their utmost hospitality may it be in the afternoon or in the wee hours of the morning. They served breakfast buffet at their cafe. The superior room we got was very spacious and neat. For the transportation, there are a bunch of cabs waiting for passengers just outside the hotel so their is quite no hassle in getting to your destination. Overall, our stay here was satisfying and comfy. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends who are looking for a budget friendly hotel that is worth it.

First Time in Philippines

I loved my stay, The staff was right there for any of my needs. The Food was fun I liked to get up in the morning and try the free breakfest. The only thing I could ask them to change is to add power outlets, only one outlet in the room and none in the Restroom (CR). The cost of a Taxi is very very cheap, to SM Mall it is around 65 peso ($1.50) to Downtown Cebu around 90 peso. the most I paid for a Taxi was from airport to Hotel 300 peso. When I arrived The staff greated me by name and a friendly smile. I know I would stay there again.

No window, aircon terribly noisy

There is no widnow in the room, aircon is terribly noisy. Breakfast is really avarage, you can have rice or egg. The neighbourhood is frightening. There's some prons too, atm around the corner and shuttle service from the ferry port.

Nice Hotel close to SM Mall

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel ! It was OK for me but if your looking for upper class this is not it ! Although I expected more I can't complain ! The Hotel Staff was excellent and very friendly ! Every time I asked for something they where on top of it ! The food for the breakfast buffet could have been better but the restaurant that was there had good food!

Great econmy hotel, staff, small breakfast buffet

Was better than I thought for the price, great price with breakfast buffet. Was a small spread but great food and staff. As usual the beds are not comfortable, same as most hotels at this rate, no box spring and small mattress. I put an additional mattress on top of the other, was ok. Have karaoke at night, easy access to taxi's to downtown. Not a good area to walk at night, but the pier is minutes away to go the beach resorts by speed boat. Staff is excellent there, will come to your room in minutes if you need anything. We ended up staying there after the beaches for a few days, cant beat the price and a good breakfast.

The hotel was clean. Check-in was very quick. All the staff were friendly. Room service (even the food), was very prompt. The welcome drink was a plus (we weren't expecting it).

Breakfast was nice. The mango marmalade was delicious. The dining area being a library was a plus.

The hotel is very near certain important tourist spots such as Magellan's Cross, Basilica Minore de Santo Niño, Fort San Pedro. A huge mall was also very near for those who get need a variety of things to do other than sight-seeing.

For buying local delicacies, Shamrock was also within the vicinity (maybe just 2kms or less?)

The only downside is its nearness to the shanties (on the street parallel to the street of this hotel), making it hard to walk around (because it's dangerous). However, the cabbies advise that it is better to ride a cab than walk (lots of snatchers around, they say). The hotel guard is very helpful and getting cabs. If there is any delay for getting cabs, it usually is just a couple of minutes, maximum of 5 mins.

Basic it is. Located in the docks area. Wouldnt go for a walk at night! But they got a bar on the premises anyway. Room is basic so is the breakfast. Lucky I was there only for a night. Staff is nice and friendly.

noisy, toxic air

The walls are paper thin. Obnoxious neighbors with the TV on will keep you up all night. The hotel was painting and varnishing rooms. Nothing wrong with upkeep. However, most hotels would do this one floor at a time and be willing to forgo the profits by closing down the floor they were working on. Not this hotel. So, toxic fumes all day and all night. The hotel location is bad, too. Nothing within walking distance.
