The bathroom was not clean. There was hair on the floor in the bathroom. The towels were thrown on the shelf instead of folded. There was cobwebs in the room by the radiator. There was evidence sustained on the sofa, and the blackout curtains were dry rotted, where there was holes going through and you can see the daylight coming in. All of the all of the lights in the room did not work properly.

We had booked this hotel after staying at the Hyatt Detroit Royal Oak. Wrong decision… the website showed a bar, the eatery restaurant, and a pool. We arrived in the evening and planned on just eating at the hotel. I asked about the bar at check-in, they said the bar is closed (no license), we asked about the restaurant, was told it’s only breakfast. The girls wanted to swim, well the pool was closed for maintenance. We were told last night that it was under new ownership so they were not able
To have the bar or dinner, and that they were getting a new pool maintenance crew. The glasses in our room were dirty, and literally stuck to the shelf, only had 1 towel in the room, which makes you wonder how well the room was actually cleaned before us. The pull-out sofa sleeper had what appeared to be electrical tape holding the cushions together. We travel often for youth sports. This hotel was a big disappointment!

During the middle of the night, there was a room of 3 adult women having absolute screaming match at each other in their room, out in the hallway, outside. Front desk staff had to come up multiple times and tell them to stop as they had 5+ rooms complain. At that point, 3 am, how is anyone getting any sleep. It was ridiculous.

One of if not the friendliest hotel ive ever checked into. The desk worker (sam) went out of her way to male sure our stay was great. Great breakfast clean rooms nice selection for breakfast. Only complaint was the pool was closed which is literary why we chose this hotel with 6 other families. The hotel was up front when we checked in but being that we used the hotels.com app we couldnt cancel. Very frustrating. But would still recommend staying here due to the staff.

I was greeted upon check in by Margaret. I asked if a couple packets of mustard were available for purchase. She took the time to try and find some, but to know avail. I told her I truly appreciated her efforts. My room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I would not hesitate to stay here again and heartily recommend this establishment.

One of the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel. The whole hotel was filthy. The tub was so dirty I was afraid to get in the shower. There were bugs in the room crawling on my toothbrush There was no Wi-Fi so I couldn’t watch tv, they ran out of towels. The elevator wasn’t working for several hours so I had to walk up 6 flights to get to my room. The staff was trying to do their best to accommodate but it was so bad and ridiculous there was very little they could do. This property needs to be shut down and completely renovated. Can’t believe the Hyatt name is associated with this dilapidated property.

The staff was friendly, room was spacious, lobby and breakfast area were nice. Unfortunately it seems the hotel could use more staff to keep things running smoothly. Every time we used the pool we had to ask the front desk for more towels. The public bathroom near the lobby had a clogged toilet. Our room locked us out multiple times and we had to wait for staff to bring a tablet to unlock the door. The fitness center was flooded and had to be mopped up. Each time something came up the staff was friendly and responsive but they were very busy keeping up with all the guests' needs. More staff and updates to the building would help keeps thjngs functioning more smoothly.

The room was ok, nothing to rave about. It could use some renovation. The staff was average, the elevator stopped working and no sign was posted to inform guest on their floor only on the main floor, which means we had to find out later, there was no apology for the inconvenience. The kitchen staff was ghetto, not enough food for the guest and this was only an hour after breakfast started. The facility could use an overall upgrade starting with the staff. The impression is management is hiring family that are not professional. The facility could use a renovation.

There were roaches in the hallway. The elevators were broken. The eggs were broken. There was no bodywash filled up in the bathroom. The breakfast could be better. The carpet needs to be renewed. Iean for it to be a Hyatt no matter the are I would expect more. I was highly disappointed. Now the rooms were clean and all commor areas. However it's time for a renovation because there furnishings peeling and the couch I was seating at in dining area was peeling extremely bad. For qhat you pay for its not bad but The Hyatt felt more like a Holiday Inn.

When we got there a little after 3 to check in, we were told it would just be a few minutes because they were still cleaning rooms, it was over an hour. Then we got up to our room and walked in there was a woman sitting in the couch, beds were clearly being used. Went back down to the front desk and apparently it was an employee that didnt know the room was booked and planned on staying there that night. We then had to wait another hour and some change for them to make the employee leave the room and then clean it.
There were no towels at the pool, the hand rail used to get in and out of the pool was broken, there was no bedding for the pull out couch, there was no hand soap in any of the rooms (our group had 3 rooms) The breakfast was horrible and the man restocking the breakfast area was very rude and short with many guests.
The snack area was almost completely empty, and they were \"out\" of extra blankets. To put the icing on the cake one of the 2 elevators for the whole building went out and there was complete chaos. The employees just didnt seem to care about any of it.

Understaffed hotel needs better management. Not up to Hyatt name standards. Breakfast was terrible, shortstaffed and no food. Tried going down twice , each time there was no food. I tried getting a partial refund from the hotel as one of the main reasons I pick Hyatt is for there good breakfast but they stated they could not provide a partial refund since I booked through 3rd party app. Very negative experience, next time I’ll stay at holiday inn.

This stay was less than desirable. Were were greeted with rudeness on entry. The desk clerk(Margaret) was rude, unhelpful, and argumentative. The rooms were ice cold and nothing was done about it for more than an hour. She was no help. After the room was switched, the cards to the first room were turned off and she adamantly refused to go open the door, again arguing with the customer. Housekeeping did nothing to the rooms in between the days and left a trash can that needed to be emptied with spilled liquid without a bag in the hall. The breakfast was cold and of low quality. TVs were very difficult to navigate due to sketchy remotes. The WiFi was good and the exercise room too.

I will be calling tomorrow to get my deposit back. I was charged the same fee for the whole stay when I booked and also when I arrived at the hotel. That was a surprise and changed my trip due to the u expected cost at check in. I was told the woman who checked me in is new and was unaware it should have only been 1/3 what I was charged.

The room was clean but cold. I had no complaints with the cleanliness, I thought they did a great job with that. The bed was comfortable as well. The bathroom is very small if you're a big guy/girl. I didn't have many interactions with the staff, but the staff was friendly and accommodating. My only complaint was that the room was very cold and the thermostat wouldn't go up past a certain point.

The room was adequate but showed wear. There were stains on the couch, the bathroom was dated and quite small, and the down duvets appeared moldy. Room temperature was very difficult to regulate throughout our stay.

The pool area was disappointing. The water was ice cold, the pool itself was dirty, trash was left under the chairs, and there were ants and bugs throughout the area.

Staff were the highlight of our stay—very friendly and especially wonderful with my girls.

Breakfast did not meet Hyatt standards. The waffle machine was set out daily, but batter was never available. Fruit options were poor; the bananas were consistently unripe and green. Coffee was frequently empty and often full of grounds.

Hotel was much more dated than I expected. However it was clean and the staff was friendly. Atleast at check in, I enjoyed speaking with her. Around 11:00 pm, staff at desk was unable to help when I attempted to purchase a juice from their hotel store. They would not accept cash (I had exact change) and their card reader was not processing cards... he suggested I drive to a store or door dash! I went to bed very thirsty and very upset. However we were happy to wake up to a great breakfast in lobby! Good value overall.

This place was just okay. Staff was really nice and friendly. The room was okay. Updating would be nice. The room heating unit is a piece of junk and has some type of white plastic strip stapled onto it to direct the air. It would also blow hot and cold and hot again. When it blew cold, I had to bundle up. Unfortunately I had to bundle up with towels from the bathroom because there were no extra blankets in the room and the “comforter” is so thin it didn’t really keep me warm. I’m sure updating the heating unit and buying Decent comforter couldn’t be too much to ask?

The room was very good, but the breakfast was well below average. This room for 2 days saved us $25 versus some other local hotel options. However, we had to eat breakfast at outside restaurants so we ended up $35 to the negative on the total deal for 2 days. Who doesn't have decaf coffee, even if it was instant. Warm food options were only 1 step above
