Bedsheets had stains on it! Bed very uncomfortable! Security safe broken! Shower tub very unsafe and slippery! Terrible in closet space for hanging stuff! Elevator not working and water leak in building roofing! Too much smoking near front entrance of building! Food warm! ( We need a refund on this stay from Expedia or Embassy Suites).

Breakfast wasn't good. Grits, Oatmeal, and overcooked turkey sausage patties. No bacon. Juice machine was empty and when asked they said they aren't filling it. No milk. The elevator didn't work so my pregnant wife had to use the stairs. The pool was freezing cold, filled with too many chemicals, and had a lot of trash in it touching my feet at the bottom. The place tries to be fancy but is more like a polished turd. No matter what you do to it it is still a turd. Maybe a good suggestion would be to aim toward business people or families, not both. It's almost like this place is trying to do too much as once and failing in all areas. We wouldn't even go in the pool a second time. We stayed 2 days at this place. The week prior we stayed at Holiday Inn Grand Rapids - South by IHG. Both hotels are 3 star rated. The Holiday Inn in Grand Rapids was far superior stay in all areas compared to this polished turd Embassy Suite Hilton. Lastly, I was charged $200 a day deposit. I have never had to do that. And for being such a bad hotel why would they charge a deposit anyway? This hotel is not good.

This is a very popular destination for families with children, family reunions, celebratory events, etc. So, if you're looking for a quiet getaway - this isn't it. One of the elevators wasn't working so there was always a wait for the one that was. Breakfast was good but crowded and some items ran out quickly. The pool always crowded, often to capacity. After 10 PM it was supposed to be for adults only, but when we went down on Saturday evening it was closed for maintenance. There was some event on the main level featuring live music which could be heard distinctly and annoyingly in our 3rd floor room. The room was clean and comfortable.

This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had.The breakfast was the only perk to the amenities. Only one towel holder in the bathroom. The plumbing was not working well. The bathtub was stopped up and when asked for it to be addressed they gave my granddaughter a plunger so I had to unstop it myself. Their were so many children running around the lobby, it was worse than Chuck E Cheese. The hotel guest were totally out of order so much the police had to be called. I was restricted to my room because of the confusion everywhere. It was like a teen take over. The hot tub was filthy! I will never return to this hotel again. It needs to be updated. Roof leaking in lobby, buckets everywhere. Elevators didn't work half of time. This hotel gives Hilton a bad name. I would this place to anyone.

Room had mold and the door to the balcony didn't close correctly or lock. Went to the pool, it was overcrowded within 10 mins a fight broke out no staff showed up. Several other patrons stepped in to help break it up. The fight restarted in the lobby area outside the pool area and that is when staff showed up, cops were called. I asked to speak to a manager and there was no manager available. Hard to understand why even a duty manager wasn't available. Didn't stay for breakfast.

Breakfast is great made to serve omelets are a wonderful idea, however they run out of many things quickly, the cook doesnt wear a hairnet over his dreads, and its a toss up on whether it will be burnt, under cooked or just right. My main complaints with this hotel are a few of the staff members are very short mannered and rude and not very helpful. Also there were children running all through the halls until 4 in the morning. And staff didnt seem to mind as well as families with food and what would appear to all their belongings sitting in the common area, changing dirty diapers on the furniture and tables and being very loud all hours of the night, the pool is small and over filled with people so many we couldn't even use it the pool hsd more than capacity from open until close and got dirty very quickly. And again staff doesnt seem to mind about this safety issue!

Had to check in 2 hours late because the room wasn't ready. Pool was so over clorinated could not swim 2nd night, kids just coughing everywhere, it was bad, hot tub kinda dirty. Room was ok, interior door falling off hinges, sliding door for outside balcony hard to open and handle ready to fall off. One of the elevators were down. Staff was doing the best they could but it didn't seem like they had enough, they were friendly but I wouldn't stay there again.

The pool is much smaller than the photo. Also too crowded and chlorinated for my group to use/enjoy. Check in was a disaster and they didn’t offer to accommodate or make up for the 3 hour delay. We did not get the rooms that we booked thru Expedia but the hotel itself wasn’t willing to help resolve the issue they just gave me a phone number to take care of it myself. Very disappointed as this was a spring break staycation meeting up with friends and the kids.

The first day when we arrived at the hotel. It was so many people there and kids running wild all over the hotel. The room that the front desk clerk gave me was awful. Beds was sloppy made up, bathroom sink cracked, tub was stopped up, no heat, balcony door was broke and couldn’t open, couch was worn out and didn’t let out, the pillow covers and and one bedsheets had mildew stains on it, the wall had broken pieces of concrete on it, they just need to throw everything in that room in the garbage and remodel it over. My whole stay I called for house keeping to bring us clean towels, and toilet paper. They bought up clean towels one time and the rest of our stay we had to go downstairs to get whatever else we needed. I NEVER ever been to an Embassy suites hotel where me and my family was treated so bad. The staff there is rude, racist and needs to be re-trained on how to work with paying guests. The swimming pool area stayed dirty and no one never showed up to re-stock the towels. I went several times to the front desk to ask if I could get 3 towels for me and my kids and Jessica said I can’t give you any towels right now but I’m going to have someone bring them in the pool room. Me and my kids was in the pool for 2 hours and no one never showed up to restock the pool room towels. On our way out at 10 pm when the other guests arrive at the pool, I noticed the guy on his way in the pool room a bunch of towels to restock. Also the elevator stopped working. I stay was horrible.

The room I initially was given the heat didn't work so I had to switch rooms. The 2nd room I was given must've had pets in there previously because there was pet hair all over the floor and on the pillows. My husband broke out. My kids were discriminated against. The stay was all bad.

We really didn't have a good stay within the room, there was a lot of damaged areas, dirty surfaces across the floors, walls, bathroom, shower , toilet etc. We asked for a full service cleaning of the room but these problems weren't acknowledged during our short stay. Many surfaces were still dirty after we called front desk to let them know. There were snags on the carpet, lights not working and several used shoes from a previous stay underneath the bed skirt of our bed. It was a very dirty and underwhelming stay.

A little disappointing with this Embassy Suites which is NEVER a problem that we have. We got checked in...went to use the pool and it literally took your breath away with the chlorine. Had to put a towel over your face it was so strong. The property iteself is just in need of serious upgrades. One elevator not working...ceiling tiles falling down in our room...just needs some major TLC in the future. Not what the expectation is when you pay and stay at an Embassy Suites

We had to leave the pool area because the chlorine was so strong the kids began coughing uncontrollably and our eyes were burning. Every person in the pool area was complaining of their eyes burning, even if they were not in the water. The hot tub was foamy with scum and dirt in the foam that I did not notice until I was already in. When I got out of the hot tub I had a dirt ring around my body at water level. Our room had filth all over the walls and surfaces, everything was out of date and falling apart, the handle even fell off in the shower. There were toys, food, dirty silverware, and more in the couch and it was apparent that the pull out beds in the couch were never checked to be cleaned. Garbage and dirty towels lined the hallways, some of it was there for our entire 3 day stay. The furniture in our room was outdated and worn out, and was mismatched. Our refrigerator was missing racks and the makeshift “shelf” that held the refrigerator in place was crooked and the fridge seemed to be falling. The TV in the room states that housekeeping is a daily service, yet we never seen them during our stay, our garbage was overflowing and we had to use makeshift garbage cans. We requested additional towels as we had a suite with 6 people in it and were only provided 4 towels, and it took several hours and a follow up request to receive them. As far as the breakfast that was included there are a lot of choices, but but everything was empty and not refilled in a timely manner.

The issue was not that it wasn't clean but it was in poor condition. There were leaks in the ceiling with buckets to catch the water laying around on the floor, duct tape on the carpet in our room, rips in the furniture. Beyond its physical condition, the staff had horrible customer service. But one guy was pleasant. I'll just say this place has potential but needs a bit of improvement.

I traveled over 800 miles to surprise my son to a hotel mommy/son weekend. I exclusively chose this hotel for location and amenities. Once I arrive, I wasn’t greeted. I stood in line almost 5 mins before saying something to the worker since she continued to ignore my presence and continue doing her paperwork. Once I was acknowledged, I checked in and was told a deposit was for $200, a $100 per night. The email that I received from the hotel that was sent on here said $50 per night. I showed worker and they said it was wrong and it was nothing they could do about it. I pay or cancel the reservation. I wanted to cancel right there and then due to poor customer service and conflicting prices. It was a Friday and after 7pm. The odds of finding another hotel local and last minute was slim but I would have to wait for my refund which would take days. I was so upset and disappointed but had to be strong for my son and keep his spirits up. As we was heading to the room, we saw a sign that said pool and hot tub was closed the whole weekend. My son love swimming and I love the hot tub, whole reason I booked here. I have never been so disappointed in a Hilton in my life and now my son swim time was ruined. No apologies, nothing to fix the issues or make our stay a better experience. The next morning we go for breakfast and the omelette station was close.Saturday same issue, then we had to deal with loud kids in room 107 all night long. Very awful experience overall

When I arrived, my room was dirty as if housekeeping only made the bed. There was a used bar of soap in the shower, loose change on the floor, food on the table and floor, stains on the wall like someone was having a coffee fight. Also the refrigerator was not working, when I called to report my issues a fresh bar of soap was offered. I requested a new room and there was no difference far as cleanliness. The “new” room was just as dirty but no used bar of soap. Night shift staff was rude and very disrespectful. I would not stay here again.

Crumbs from previous guest all over floor. Housekeeping didn’t even make the beds when they “cleaned” on second day. Locked out of room in the middle of the stay. Charged full price of $330 for a 2 night stay that should have been no more than $50 a night for the quality. Horrible place.

Unfortunately there was a tragic incident that occurred on my 1st night at the hotel. On my second day even though I had my do not disturb sign on the door, house keeping came into my room aways, this was after I had already let someone else in to clean my room earlier that day. On my third night the fire alarm went off at 1am due to a fire in their kitchen, which led to the food option being limited to 3 items that evening which was a real inconvenience. On the day of check out I paid for 1pm check out and house keeping ignored the do not disturb sign and knocked at 11am. I explained that I had late checkout and would be out be 1pm, someone came back at 12pm and then again at 12:45pm. Then they stood outside my room until I actually left out. I felt rushed and ignored. The only reason I’m giving them a poor rating is because the breakfast along with the breakfast staff was really nice. The restaurant staff was awesome, even though the evening reception options were very limited.

Clearly understaffed, everything outside of the actual room was filthy. It took almost 45 minutes in line to check in as there was only one employee at reception. The room was about a 6/10 in cleanliness overall the bathroom was suitable as was the bedroom area of the suite; however the pull out couch had old food and garbage stuffed behind it, we needed to utilise that bed and it was gross to sleep on. The pool was fine but they did not enforce the rules about pool toys and couldnt find extra towels anywhere or even anyone to ask. The breakfast was sparse and there was nowhere clean to sit. At 8 am with another hour of service to go, they stopped putting out fresh food and what was left was very unappealing. Unattended children running around everywhere. With an appropriate level of staff and supervision it would have been fine.

The hotel is gross I won't be staying here again. My bed had seeds in it, did they change the bed? A guy came 1st morning and got our trash and towels but no one brought more I had to go to front desk for new towels. Was looking forward to kid free hot tub time at night went at 1030 and there were teens jumping in the pool., towels everywhere, the waterfall was off. It was loud and I looked behind me when I the hot tub and so visible brown film and when I go out saw this brown film was on my arm and around my back. I rushed back to my room to shower. How gross. Also the tolietrees had a unknown brown something on them. I had a overall impression they don't clean and they don't monitor kids running around everywhere. Also pillows are very flat.

We checked in so late and there was only one person arlt the counter and the line was so long it took about 30 minutes in the line so we didnt bother going back down. We didnt have any large towels in the room either. I called down for late check out and paid to check out at 2. Someone knocked on my door 4 times from 11-2 I wasnt feeling well which is whybi chose the late check out to get more rest. the bed is in the back so I had to get up all 4 times to answer the door to tell them I had late check out. 2 rooms 1 night, 8 people. When we arrived, only one room was ready and I paid for early check-in. This is all through Expedia by the way. So normal check-in is 4:00 PM. Our room was not ready till after 5:30 PM. This last room that we waited for smelled from outside before we entered like cigarette smoke beyond belief. Of course we paid for non-smoking rooms. It was so bad, my niece who must be allergic to cigarette smoke her eyes immediately started watering and burning. So I called the front desk to ask for another room, but they don’t have another room available so there solution was to come up and spray some air freshener. When maintenance or housekeeping did not show up to spray we had to get a room at a neighboring hotel as these conditions obviously were inhabitable for my niece. Now, both these rooms had a full out couch both of which did not have blankets. So again I called the front desk ask for blankets and again they did not bring them. We were exhausted from the day and fell asleep and used our coats for a blanket. Now upon waking up the next day, there are no towels to dry off after a shower. We had four washcloths, two hand towels and a floor mat.
The rooms were dirty to say the least. One room had two paper plates on the side of the bed from the prior resident. Room was filthy, smelly and completely dirty! Requested a room change was denied found a dirty razor with hair in it. No shower curtain shows was dirty! Complained a second time and received a new room. Everyone on the 4th floor complained.

We arrived at 3:45pm and 1 out of the 3 rooms was not ready. No big deal - but when we entered the 2nd room it smelled very strong of pot. Asked the front desk to have someone come spray - they did right away and it went away. Ok - still at 5:15pm our 3rd room was not ready - still ok because we were off to host our birthday party at Dave & Busters. When we returned at 7:30pm the room was ready. However, when we entered it was as if someone had just smoked pot and left the room. Again- asked if they could come spray which they did not. While at the front desk a concerned mother came it to advise that people were getting sick in the pool area - coughing- burning eyes and even 1 kid threw up from over chlorinated water. The front desk suggested to prop the door open but didnt seem too bothered. Anyway - we still make our way down to the pool - there were 5 of us moms and our 6 kids. The pool and hot tub was so crowded with kids running around - and while kids are supposed to be accompanied by an adult - there were only 2 other adults in the area. Im not talking 10 or 12 - I'm talking 25 or 30 kids with only 2 adults. Kids were jumping into the pool without a care if there were other kids in the pool - so much so that 2 of the kids in our group were jumped on. Overall - this is a party hotel - it reeks of pot - only 1 elevator seemed to be working - and literally kids ran around all hours of the night. PLEASE READ. Do not believe reviews claiming this was a good stay. The staff alone makes this place unbearable. From the front desk to security, the rudeness was nonstop and unprofessional. The security guards acted like wannabe police, shutting down the pool whenever they felt like it and yelling “GET OUT OF THE POOL NOW” with no explanation. They clearly enjoyed trying to intimidate guests.
The pool is the main attraction in photos, but it is MUCH smaller than it appears and absolutely disgusting. The water is cloudy and you cannot see the bottom. The hot tub was vile, with floating skin buildup in the bubbles. I almost threw up and never went back in. Throwing chemicals in does not make it clean. There were also no towels at the pool, and I was told it “wasn’t the hotel’s fault.”
Our room was dirty and clearly not cleaned. There were fake eyelashes left on the nightstand. We had 5 people and were given only 2 towels. More were brought the next day, but not without attitude.
The elevators are a serious problem. As a disabled guest, this hotel is in violation of ADA standards. Only one elevator worked, it was extremely small, painfully slow, and stopped at every floor.
We also never received a third blanket despite asking three times. I stay at many hotels each year, and this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. Dirty, rude, and uncomfortable. I wish I could give it zero stars.

When I booked from hotels.com it said $50 deposit once I got there it was $100 I showed the guy but he said it’s nothing he can do ?? I should’ve just went to holiday inn.. once we got in the girl at the desk with him was talking to a guy for gods knows how long without helping.. she was black with dreads in her hair. The guy had on gray. She must’ve got him a free room or something because he was there for the longest when we got into the room. The tub was dirty. I never called. I just left it alone the next morning, I went downstairs to eat breakfast. I left my wristband. She stated that I will have to pay for a new wristband if she gave me a new one, and I said the elevators aren’t working and it took me almost 5 minutes to get down the stairs. She said we’ll wake up early. I said excuse me she was so rude but what it was his she was waiting to talk to her friend in a gray again I don’t know how long that man was there. I don’t know if he was at her whole shift or what, but it was a terrible experience. The only went to the bar for a free drinks. she ran over there told the lady that she wasn’t paying for a drink and to give her the drink for free. She cut in line and again her friends was there in the gray. Her service was terrible.

Elevator down. Hot tub not clean, had to argue to get 3 towels instead of 2 (we had 3 registered adults). Shower curtain was too short so water went everywhere. Just not a good experience

This hotel isn’t terrible. It serves its purpose (shrugs shoulders). The only real “complaint” was the dirty brown foam on the surface of the hot tub. My husband talked to maintenance who temporarily fixed the issue, but he told my husband that this problem is ongoing. Ew? Other than that, the room was fine (though outdated from other Hilton hotels we’ve stayed in), breakfast was mid, parking was convenient. There was some indoor construction going on while we were there, but wasn’t bothersome. In a pinch, we’d stay again.

Dirty rooms, no toilet paper, shower gel almost finished after 1 person took shower, only 2 towels were provided for 4 people and when we called reception they asked us to come down and collect as they did not have staff. While we could see many staff members available.
Also the carpets were dirty, wallpaper peeling off the washroom walls… outdated funiture
This hotel needs a full renovation

Check in was not very friendly and I was extremely disappointed to have to pay a $25 early check in fee for checking in one hour early! I've never experienced this in my 40+ years of frequent travel. Other hotels are always happy to accommodate if a room is available.
