Our family of 3 stayed at the Sherwood Inn for 2 nights. It was perfect! Breakfast was delicious. It was our 3 year olds favorite meal of the day both days in Edinburgh. The room was very comfortable for the 3 of us with very high ceilings and a nice en suite. This is a fantastic place to stay. I read all of the 5 star reviews and they are absolutely true, I can definitely recommend staying here. Vivienne is a really friendly, knowledgeable and helpful host and we felt so welcomed from the moment we arrived. It's in a perfect position to explore Edinburgh and the local pubs are brilliant for food and drinks. It's a really comfortable guest house and the breakfast is perfect to start the day.

Vivienne was a lovely host and took time to listen to our needs - providing gluten and dairy free products for breakfast after some of our party mentioned allergies - something we appreciated very much. Vivienne has done a wonderful job with the Sherwood Guest House. Completely renovated, the room was large, comfortable, and had the services of a large hotel but with a personal touch. We stayed at this lovely b and b for a family trip to Edinburgh. Host was GREAT and approachable and gave good advice on places to go, and how to use local bus service. Location perfect as you could walk into the centre, but also a bus stop just outside. Family room was nice size, and whole place very clean. Breakfast was nice too. Overall a great place and would definitely recommend.
