We’ve stayed here multiple times and love the hotel. Parking is great and it’s usually reasonably priced. This time it was busy so price was higher which was ok but we had a room right beside the entry to the bar, no issue again, the bar was not noisy but the room felt very cramped compared to the ones we usually have on the other side of the building. The shower temperature was impossible to control, it was either scalding or freezing. It’s our first disappointment with this hotel and we will request a room on the other side of the building now we’re aware of this.

Lovely stay. Property is a bit dated and we may have paid extra given the time of year which is understandable so I think on its normal rate it’s absolutely perfect. Staff very friendly and helpful and room size was very big. We didn’t eat at the restaurant so cannot speak for this but would stay again if up that part of the country.

Have marked down facilities simply because there is no lift, so if you have a problem with stairs, be sure to specifically request a ground floor room. During our stay, we encountered a couple of unexpected issues, including finding hair on the bed and a spider in the room. However, the staff promptly addressed the situation by replacing the bedding and offered to make amends with breakfast, though unfortunately, we were short on time. Despite these occurrences, the overall experience was pleasant, and the staff displayed professionalism throughout. I believe these were isolated incidents, and I would still recommend this place without hesitation.

Nice clean place. It was good to have a bathtub for our grand baby. The breakfast was great. A little pricey but great variety and traditional Scottish experience cooked right then. A lift would’ve made it a little easier to get our bags up to our rooms but the staff was very nice. A fridge in our rooms with a kettle would’ve been great too but we were able to put stuff in the fridge in their kitchen. They have a small library.

We loved our stay. We were greeted on arrival by a member of staff who made you feel like you were a guest instead of somebody just paying for a service. First impression counts. The bar staff and dining room staff were also very friendly and courteous and there was ample car parking although it was very busy. The grounds must look lovely in the spring and summer and so we intend to stay here again.
