Do not stay here ! General manager wont even call to speak to me instead sent a appauling email refusing a refund when we had issue with our room and our families rooms during our stay , a stay that we cut short due to our dissapointment and u resolved issues.
I have been contacting the hotel several times and the general manager stewart still has nkt spoke to me but sent me an email response . A response that had inccorect information. Ouf stay was not not refundable which he stated it was ! We camcelled after 3pm as the problems occured after 3pm. 3pm is checkin time problems i informed staff of many times . A problem thar was fixed short term and then occured again not only in our room but in my mums to. He has not even recognised that my mums room had the same issue not even mentioned in his response . A disgracefull response from a general manger !

There was a long line at check in qnd had to wait over 10mins. There was no cot in our room, as had been requested, resulting in another long wait at reception! Then another wait to get into the pool!! Breakfast was poor with lots of things running out, dirty floor and overcooked hot food. Sausages were inedible. Room was fine other than sick was blocked.

When i got to the hotel checked in and went to the room it felt like it was really dusty i started to sneeze and was not feeling my self i did go down and reported it to the person on front desk he said all rooms are the same. I feel something could of been done as i had a few issues we had a function to attend and i wasn't feeling my self and didn't enjoy anything i travelled from manchester. in the toilet the flush didn't work no remote for t.v. over all i didn't enjoy my stay and we had other family members that had the same issues and cut there sty short. I would like to hear back from yourselves please as I'm not happy with the stay.

Our room had an interconnecting door with the next room. Although I know it's locked from our side in never a fan of them and the noise travels more easily between rooms, we could hear next doors' tv. It wasn't turned up loud but it did sound really close to us.
Other than that our room was really clean and it was an easy check in with friendly staff. Free parking at the weekend too and bus into the city right outside the hotel. Would definitely stay here again.

Our room was clean and spacious but had the worst view, or should i say no view. Good job we didnt intend spending a lot of time in the room. We were on the second floor along with a lot of young guests so it was quite noisy at night time. Breakfast was decent enough, plenty to choose from. The staff member who waited on us was very atentive, older man. Check in and check out was quick enough although being a Village club member wasnt recognised as we booked through a 3rd party, quite disappointing.

No option to transfer booking to another date or credit offered, won’t be booking with them again. Paid £350 for two night stay and no empathy for situation. It is 23 minutes from the airport, and there is a gas station right across the rode which came in handy for refueling our rental car. The room was comfortable, and the shower was very good. The restaurant was nice, with reasonably prices food and drink.

This was a genuinely pleasant stay. The hotel was easily reached from Waverley, with a number of buses taking about 20 minutes to reach the hotel. The welcome in the hotel was friendly and engaging, and the room was clean, comfortable and well-appointed. Checkout was also a dream too. There's a Morrisons about a 2 minute walk from the hotel too. Definitely recommended.

We can’t say enough good things about the village hotel in Edinburgh. Some tourists may prefer to stay in the old town or new town, however, we loved this location and the amenities it had to offer. The modern gym and pool were amazing amenities to use each day. Air conditioning was amazing in the record high temperatures. And a full buffet breakfast every morning was the cherry on top. One final note we were never more than a 10 pound Uber Dr. from any tourist spot or fringe location.
