Lifts were not working for the 3 days that we stayed.Breakfast Buffet was terrible and very little choice or just not available.Room was lovely and clean and bed was king size but shower lacked pressure . Molly on reception was a dream to deal with and very friendly.

Very convenient and quiet hotel within easy reach to centre by public transport. Free car park at the premises. Very friendly and helpful staff both at the main desk and in the restaurant at breakfast time. Beds were very comfortable and we all had a great sleep. Spacious family room for two adults and a 15 year old. We had a single bed and a double bed rather than a pull out sofa bed and a bed, which was great. Unfortunately the lift was not working due to maintenance issues, but that was not a problem for us. Hairdryer didn’t work, which was a minor inconvenience and I forgot to report this. Breakfast was very nice as well, but no porridge. Hotel close to the venue we went to for a gig the night before. As a plus surprise, we met some of the band members at breakfast time😊.

I stay at this hotel frequently and love it. The staff is wonderful. The breakfast is delicious, the rooms are cozy and clean, and the bed is comfortable. I only have good things to say about Leonardo Edinburgh Murrayfield. Also, it’s really helpful there’s a bus stop very close around the corner that’s so convenient to get into the shopping areas of the Royal Mile and Princes Street.

The bunk bed for the kids was so rickety that we couldnt let anyone sleep on the top bunk. Even after the maintenence staff supposedly fixed it, it wobbled so badly. The lift was out of order and we had to walk up multiple flights of stairs with all our bags.
We arrived in time for check in, but unfortunately the room wasnt ready and we waited for an hour before giving up to go away and come back again. The door to the stairs was right at the door to our room and it was very noisy all night.
We werent made aware that the pool was in an attatched leisure club, and there very crowded and busy.

The room was very nice. (Room 318) Just a little warning. Don`t know if it's a regular thing but there was a beer delivery at 7am Friday morning and it went on for about 30 mins just below our room. It didn't bother us as we are early risers but I could see it would annoy some people.
The staff were very nice and we've no bad things to say about the hotel in general. We will stay there again in the future.
If your determined to go looking for faults you'll find them, as with anywhere you go.

I can’t rate this property because my daughter was moved because the room she had been allocated had a flood and she was moved to another hotel. We were assured the sister hotel had the same facilities (i.e spa and pool) but that was not the case. They had to spend time moving their luggage between hotels and whilst the reception team the new hotel were great this was far from ideal for her special weekend away got the rugby.
We were also noted of the issue at 4pm on the day of check in.

I went out for the morning at 9am and left on a clean my room sign, returning to the property at 1.30 to get ready for a formal party. Room hadn’t been cleaned. Cleaner did arrive around 2pm whilst I was in the shower, sign had been taken off by that stage and the cleaner was very rude about having to return. When I came back at 10pm with the kids ready for bed, the main bed had been turned over and 2 towels left but the bunk beds hadn’t been turned over and needed to be, so I had to climb up and do the top bunk myself (no mean task given I use a walking stick for arthritis)
Disappointing standard of room cleaning and attitude of the cleaning staff.
Rest of the stay was ok and the room a good size family room.

Lovey big family room. Downside the floorboards in our room and the one above were very noisy. Room above kept small child awake. However the staff were lovely, food was great and the pool was great to stay with kids.

The check in staff were outstanding. Very friendly and most helpful. There is a nice restaurant/bar and a gym. Good buffet style breakfast. Close to bus transport straight into the city centre.

The room was relatively basic but comfortable and clean. Only downside was we had to drag our luggage up and down a set of stairs to get to our room from the lift.

We have booked again on our way home. It’s in a good quiet location however not walking distance to other restaurants, bars or cafes.

Late night arrival from Edinburgh Airport so didn't get the chance to sample much of the facilities but check-in was straightforward and the room was clean and comfortable so just what was needed. This hotel is not where near downtown Edinburg. The rooms are SO dirty, mold, the fan had nothing but dust on it and there is NO air-conditioning of ceiling fans. we paid 300$/night midweek and it was SO disappointing. Also, this hotel is NOWHERE near downtown; the city bus will take over 45 mins. (even though they tell you it takes 15 minutes, maybe in the middle of the night).

The positive was the size of the family room. It was really spacious. Downsides were the bunk beds were next to the lift shaft which was a little noisy and the room had no air con and it was a bit warm.

Nice hotel, until we recieved the bill.

Check-in was good, room fine, evening restaurant service was poor, thankfully no service charge on our bill as the service was well below expected standards for a hotel in Edinburgh.
On check out our hotel the receipt for our 1 night stay with no breakfast was £184.05, however Hotels.com had charged us £209.70?
So when question on their App, they told us to ignore the hotel receipt, this was what they they paid for block booking rooms, so Hotel.com took £25.65 commission, so i will be booking directly with hotel's in future. This price is before the Edinburgh festive starts in August, expect to pay substantially more then for a 3 star.

Just ok, some issues

Booked this hotel with a last minute trip to Edinburgh.

Pictures aren't completely acccurate. Initial room was smaller than advertised, was able to move to a larger room.

Safe in room was broken, was not fixed during our stay.

Room was right by hallway door so loud at night.

Pool and gym is shared by hotel guests and members. Pool area is not as nice as the pictures, is a bit worn down.

Restaurant was really good, clean and good food. Gluten free options available.

I booked this hotel as it looked like a good location outside of the city, close to the zoo and greenspace. The hotel has been reno'd but not as advertised as per the pictures on the website.

It was an ok trip but I would stay somewhere else if I knew the conditions of the hotel.

Unfortunately, a bad experience - a party in an event room directly below our room had the pounding bass of a live band until after 11pm, then more music until well after midnight. Tried to call reception twice to find out when it was scheduled to stop, and no-one picked up either time. Went down to reception, and the person there had no idea about the event or when it would end.
Room was incredibly hot, and breakfast was pretty disorganized - no glasses, no cutlery and it seemed like there was too few staff to deal with a full room. We won’t be staying in a Leonardo hotel again.

Will never stay at this hotel again. Corridors were not cleared of plates of food and drinks outside rooms and was dark and had a smell of either damp or mould. Room was basic and cost £400 for 1 night. Very overpriced for minimal facilities. Breakfast was poor, staff interaction nil. Advertising as Murrayfield but turns out it’s just under 3 miles from the stadium. Be wary if going to a concert/rugby match as you need to get a taxi to town centre or stadium.

The facilities were great and staff were all lovely. The condition of the building does impact the ability to keep it clean and maintained effectively, which does let it down.
There was also no monitoring in the fitness area which meant that very young children were with their parents in the sauna and steam room.
