I had a great stay at this really pleasant hotel, close to the heart of Leuven and on the edge of the medieval Begrijnhof. Very modern and comfortable interior and excellently positioned for walking into town or the botanical gardens. Beware of a lot of cobblestones, though!

Convenient hotel in Leuven
This is a very nice hotel located near some of the historic university buildings in Leuven. It's a 15 minute walk to the town centre so it is conveniently located. It's also across the road from the OH Leuven football stadium so if you're in town for a match, its very handy for that. Breakfast was good and the honour bar was well stocked. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Obe downside is it lacks a restaurant for the evening but there are plenty of very good restaurants in Leuven.

7 night stay.
We had a really nice stay, 7 nights. Only a couple of points, there is no draws in the room, so you have to leave the small things on show. We never had breakfast, as we know the area, having lived there for 12 years, but at €25 euros seems quite expensive.

Liked this property. Rooms were compact but very clean and cleverly designed to maximise space, although the bathroom areas were a little cramped. The shower was open to the room separated by just a curtain and a 2-way mirror, so not too much privacy, in case that might be an issue for you. But the whole space was nicely decorated and thought out. Beds were comfortable, and again sensible design allows you to store a number of suitcases easily in the room. Only real thing missing from the room was a bedside table.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the grounds/garden were really nice to spend time around. It is walking distance into the town, with the immediate environs consisting of mediaeval streets as if they hadn't been touched in hundreds of years. We didn't choose breakfast (€22) so cannot comment on the quality but it did look like a reasonable spread of a continental breakfast. The gym area was not so useful, a small room with 3 machines in it, but at least there is one.

This is a beautiful hotel, but they should have warned us that there would be construction noises when we booked. It was too late by the time we arrived to check in. 9:00 is not terribly early, but we were exhausted from traveling.

I have stayed in this property before and always loved it. This time I was traveling for leisure and decided to book there as well.. as expected it was a clean hotel... beautiful garden, friendly staff

This hotel is in an amazing location but overpriced (ie. parking is 12 euros/night, breakfast is 19 euros pp.) No real help was given to find alternative parking, and cleaning/housekeeping service was minimalist to say the least: after 3 days, the bed was only folded back, stains of coffee mugs still there on every surface, sink and shower left untouched. Rooms are small, to the point of thinking twice, if you're both standing up, on whether you really want to go put that wrapper in the bin or better wait till he's in the loo (so tiny his knees are touching the door, and so poorly insulated I can hear everything)

My room required a repaint, there were marks on the walls and the bathroom looked a little tired. I am aware that there is ongoing refurbishment so hopefully these issues will be resolved.

Location is about a mile from the bus and train station. I just walked and enjoyed seeing all unique things to the area. Like the hundreds of bicycles university students use for transportation.

There was no air conditioning which was extremely disappointing given the high price and that they were rated 4 star. They setting was lovely and it was well located to visit KU Leuven and the center of town. Cold breakfast was mediocre.

Clean and well cared for traditional hotel
This is a very nice but very old fashioned hotel. Its been well cared for, and is very clean, but it feels a bit like 1970 with the laminate decor and trouser press. That said, I would certainly stay there again. The staff were lovely and the rooms very spacious by European standards.

We had early morning flight back to NY but didn't want to stay at a hotel near airport. I found that there was a easy train connection from Leuven to Brussels airport. The hotel was a bit far from the station but it took only 5 minutes by taxi. The area was nice and quiet. The room was spacious and clean. Hotel's garden was beautiful.

What turned out to be a relaxing break at this hotel with amazing, peaceful gardens and would have had a great review apart from the lack of customer service. The hotel took the payment twice and after being told I would receive a full refund of the second payment taken in error, we have been home one month and only received some of the refund. In 11 e mails I had a response twice and the second e Mail said the refund was on its way only for the amount to be down by £65. I cannot get any response from the management of this hotel by e mail or phone, always told to ring back and no sign of the amount being sent back to me. Also sent two e mails to Hotels.com and again no outcome from them also

It's the worst 4-star hotel I've ever stayed in Europe. I regret that I booked this hotel without having checked out reviews in advance. I suffered from the same situation that another 1-point reviewer Leon pointed out: there is a constant buzz of a transformer in the room. What's worse is the attitude of the staff. It seems that they have used to being complained about the same issue. They just ignored.
By the way, the locker does not work at all because there is no battery. The toilet paper was broken.

Gem in the City
We did not stay in downtown Leuven this time as we had a rental car which meant the need for parking. The hotel is conveniently located near the highway, but was surprisingly quiet. The garden was meticulous and impressive. We had a great dinner there. Food was good and staff pleasant. The room was spacious and clean. The only suggestion for improvement I make would be the shower. The glass was too small and only covered one-third of the tub, so water kept spilling onto the floor. Otherwise it was a perfect little gem in the outskirts of the city and we will certainly return.

Comfortable hotel but quite difficult to find - the signing for the hotel is obscure, where it is placed behind a public car park. The rooms are old but comfortable. I did have an issue with one of the towels in the bathroom which had a couple of long black hairs attached to them. The breakfast was very good and it is a nice dining hall.

I don't often leave reviews, but I have to warn anyone staying in this hotel, it was quite honestly the crappiest place I have ever stayed in, the staff were ignorant and discourteous, the room had the constant buzz of a transformer and looked as thought it was decorated in the 70's, dirty tiles, rust ceiling, you get the idea. It was massively over priced and quite honestly had better experiences the most budget B&B's

This is a nice hotel with friendly staff. I had a double bed which was comfortable and the room was average size and clean. There was a coffee maker in the room but did not use it and there was no tea making facility. The Flat sceen TV was nice with lots of English channels. However for 4 star hotel expected better quality of towels and the car park was expensive at 12 Euros as the free parking was further away. The location was great for my business and also easy access to the town centre. The restaurant food menu was limited and as otherwise one has to go to town centre.

Great location but in need of modernising to meet todays standards. I would recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Lueven as its an ideal location and by far the best out of very little choice in the area. They have great hotel staff willing to do all they can by providing excellent tour info and guides for cycling etc. As for the hotel it lacks modern facilities such as air conditioning in rooms and has a feeling of being in the past with old style wall hairdryers and a large CRT TV.

Pleasant, quiet comfy hotel. We asked for a third bed in a twin room and were given a full-sized divan bed, so all 3 of us slept comfortably. Decent sized bathroom. No kettle, but espresso machine with 1 coffee each per day. Nice outdoor spaces, and convenient buses for station. Easy walk to centre, via old convent building. Breakfast a little overpriced especially as sliced bread was stale and the salmon ran out. Overall satisfied.

Hotels in Europe are usually small and old. This one was not. It was clean, rooms were big enough with comfortable bed and a large bathroom. The breakfast was great too. It had a very nice secluded back yard that is perfect to relax in after a day of walking. The only drawback for me was that it was a little far from the center of the city. But I did not mind walking at all as long as I had my comfortable shoes on. Just consider that if you decide to stay at this hotel.

Tijd om ook de laatste kamers te renoveren.
Ik kom hier al een paar jaar en de gerenoveerde kamers zijn heel mooi. Nu echter een niet-gerenoveerde kamer. Dit was het geld niet waard. De douchebak was vol slijtageplekken, de muurvoegen vol schimmelverkleuringen, en de douche was zo klein dat ik meermaals tegen de kraan stootte en de douche uitzette daardoor, of op heel koud. Dringend tijd om de laatste kamer(s) te renoveren. De slaapkamer was mooi, maar heel koud. De kamerdeur kon niet op slot van binnen en ik kreeg hem de laatste dag niet meer open zonder hulp.
