Wonderful hotel with a beautiful pool and free Mexican breakfast. Would highly recommend this as a place to stay when in Merida. Only thing that wasn’t perfect was that tv was all Spanish and since it wasn’t a smart tv, had to watch news on iPad. Not a big deal as it was an amazing price for such a nice place.

I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Doralba Inn in Mérida, located in the historic heart of Mérida. The room was consistently sptotless throughout my visit, and I’m giving full marks for cleanliness. The staff were another highlight - friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with anything I needed. Their responsiveness really elevated the experience. The swimming pool was a wonderful bonus, especially in the heat of March. It became my go-to spotter to cool off after long days of exploring the city and other not-to miss touristic gems Yucatan has to offer. The only thing that didn’t quite meet my expectations was the breakfast. I found the menu a bit repetitive, and it wasn’t the buffet-style variety I had anticipated. That said, aside from breakfast, the hotel met all of my expectations and offered great value overall. I would happily stay here again for the comfort, central location, service, and relaxing atmosphere.

Located in a busy district...if you want to go to the market it is not far. Hotel is basic depending of the room you choose...no 3way eletric outlet in our room...poorly organized and very old. Pool is nice and clean. Breakfast is cold and basic...could be improved in a buffet style.

Staff at front desk was helpful in assisting us to get a refund. This was necessary because we were not going to be happy at all to stay for the remaining time of our booking! The room was in very poor condition- missing curtain and shower rings, broken lamp, mold in shower,etc. The general condition of the property was substandard. There was a sewer smell outside of our room and the bed was rock hard. We woke up with sore hips and backs. The breakfast included was a small helping of scrambled eggs, refried beans, jello and pound cake- the same every day. We were booked for a long stay so staff at the front desk had a small fridge delivered to our room, but it was so noisy that we couldn't use it. By day two, my wife had several bug bites all over her feet.
The pool was clean, but freezing and the lounge chairs and tables need replacing.

Its a nicely laid out property. Two courtyards, open one with pool. Rooms around are good for less noise from the road.

Cynthia at the front desk was outstanding! She was very helpful and always pleasant. The room was clean as was all the common areas.
The hotel itself needs some updating. The pool was nice to swim in although it seemed to have way too much chlorine. It was nice to have breakfast included although the meal itself could use some updating and daily variety.
I would stay here again if only visiting for a day or two. The hotel is in a central location, walking to restaurants and activities is easy.

The hotel was not bad but the room felt dirty the towels were stained the sheets were stained.the pillows smelled bad and there was no tv service.
It was out of the way and at night there was nothing to do.
But what really disappointed was the notice that was at the door that said the charges if you stained their towels or sheets
We came
Here because they said their breakfast was really good and it was not!
The hotel has potential but it definitely misses the mark.
Had to book a different hotel.

The area is not the most attractive or safe feeling if you are traveling with kids. Parking was great. Rooms are not Spacious if you are traveling with kids. They will only provide 2 small towels and are not good at providing more unless u give them back asap, weird. Even though breakfast is included it’s very limited and cold. No bar or food accommodation in area or convenient restaurants near . I would stay closer to Montejo area.

For the price point there's a lot to love and little to complain about. While it may be a bit dated it holds nice colonia style, the property and the rooms are very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. You're very close to all the action but I will note the streets are very busy in this area for pedestrians and cars. You're very close to all the action and amenities in and around the main plaza. Beds were comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. We would book it again.

Well located hotel close to the big market. Good secure parking. Nice pool but need to be repainted. Nice big bedroom overlooking the pool. Mattress are AWFUL. Towels too...no hand towel, no pool towel. We've been to this hotel before. We used to have a small breakfast buffet now they serve you kind of omelet one day with rice the other day with frijoles...very basic but included in the price of the room. Wifi could also be improved but funcional.

Nice place to stay. The paintings in the lobby gave it a lovely charm. Simple rooms for the budget conscious. Located near the cathedral which was nice. The beds were VERY hard which was the only downside. Breakfast is uninspired but edible (scrambled eggs and pasta or rice). The pool was nice and they let us bring our own beverages and food which was great. If they can fix the beds, it’d be a good stay!

Low cost, basic with breakfast included. Old place close to everything. More expensive places with trendier, upscale atmospheres are everywhere. Cleaning staff is much more efficient than high-end places I've stayed.This place will get you a longer stay at a very reasonable price if your not picky about everything. Ive been here before and I'll definitely return.

You get what you pay for. The hotel is old and it doesn’t seem like they care to invest in new sheets, new showers, etc.

Aside from that the hotel was perfectly placed, just a few minutes walking from the centro. The staff was awesome as well. I would stay here again just for their service.

It was a very easy check in; the front desk staff was very polite and helpful. It is very conveniently located- walkable to the center and restaurants/shops. The hotel itself was very nicely decorated, plenty of room to sit and hang out, very pretty colonial feel. The pool area was also very nice to sit and have a drink and enjoy time with your friends and family. I stayed in the main floor closest to the end so i did not have a neighbor therefore it was very quiet and peaceful, the room had a little bit of a smell but it is most likely humidity and not enough ventilation because the windows do not open. The towels were a little hard to the touch they may need new ones or to wash better. The beds were comfortable enough, the bathroom and shower were good for what you need them for. The staff outside of the front desk were not very friendly or polite, did not like the food schedule: we were unable to order food because of the cut off point and because they close early on Sunday and we did not know. The happy hour was nice and drinks were very cheap. Breakfast was not appetizing but it was good enough if you don’t want to spend money or walk anywhere. Overall would stay again but would bring my own towels and would eat out.

Good value old fashioned hotel. Comfy beds and great air conditioning. The breakfast was tasty and changed every day we were there, but consisted of some sort of scrambled egg dish and a side of beans, rice or pasta. On our last day there the breakfast included meat throughout and when I told the lady I didn't eat meat she made me a fresh batch of plain scrambled eggs which was so kind. There was also delicious cake, nesquik and cornflakes plus bread and jam. All the staff we met were just so lovely and kind!
The pool is great and because it's a decent size it remains cool and refreshing all day.
It is quite outdated and the shower isn't great but would still stay here again if we came back to Mérida.

The hotel needs an urgent update, the bed sheets, towels provided are old and falling apart. The washer and dryer do not always work, you pay for it and they don’t reimburse the money when they break down. What makes worth the stay is the people who works there, they are underpay but always willing to help and greet you with a smile.

I liked a lot the fact that it is very quiet in spite of it being downtown where thousands of people transit daily. The staff is super professional and polite. The hotel was absolutely beautiful and plenty of sitting space for socializing and eating. The pool area was gorgeous. Lots of space for multiple families. Restrooms were clean and spacious. I honestly have nothing bad to say about this hotel. Everyone was friendly and helpful. There are a few times we decided to eat at the hotel and dinner was great. Enchiladas were my favorite and kids loved the burgers. Armando can make a mean margarita! They were so good and occasionally he would dress it up with the watermelon candy and/or Mexican flag! I say occasionally, because I drank a lot of them:-) We stayed seven nights, and every day our room was cleaned, and fresh towels exchanged for dirty towels. If there was one thing I could change about the room it would be the lighting. There were plenty of lamps. However, some lamps were a bright fluorescent light, and some were a cozy soft light. The cozy soft light throughout the room would have created a nicer ambiance. I would stay here again for sure!!!!

Good value in center of Merida

The value for the money at the Doralba Inn is very good. The rooms are spacious compared to most and the showers have good hot water and water pressure. Wish they were more generous with the number of towels provided but laundry must be expensive as other hotels only give one per person too with no hand towels or washcloths. The breakfast is included and the scrambled eggs are good. There is an abundance of coffee and bread and jam. The pool is in a very nice courtyard surrounded by the rooms. A stand of palms filled with exotic local birds makes this courtyard a real oasis from the loud and crowded Merida streets. The cost was very reasonable for the size of the room, pool area, breakfast and private parking. I would definitely stay there again. Interesting and clever touch is the mirrored windows which allowed us to keep the drapes open to see the pretty pool courtyard. Friendly service and a decent fast food restaurant make the Doralba a gem.

Our fourth stay at Doralba. It’s an economical, family/friendly place with helpful staff. A few issues this stay with toilet’s inefficient flushing, and trouble setting the safe, but not major problems. Love the pool and ability to use self-service laundry.

We chose this property for the secure parking facilities in the Centre of Merida. So close to all sites. The pool area was quiet, clean and inviting. Breakfast with eggs was more than enough. Rooms were large, clean, and as in photos. Bathrooms were functional.
