You have to manually open à gate and then close it in the parking lot, our apps were not working on the TV and no one available to help when we called receptionist. Pool has cold water which is understandable since Yucatán is hot. There is a restaurant onsite until 3pm which is a plus.

Found used condoms on the side table and lamp. Sheets weren’t cleaned. The shower water pressure was high and the water would leak to the floor.
There is no restaurant in the hotel. I tried going to order food and no one was there. The pool was small didn’t get in.
Location was ok.
I wouldn’t stay here again. With all the issues they didn’t give us any credits.

This was the perfect location in Merida. It was walking distance to all central activities and restaurants. The staff were very helpful. The building was older but public areas were very nice. We had two connecting rooms with a living room which was very convenient. As with any older property there were some quirks but overall it was a great place.

If you want to be in a location where you’re not too central to the touristy parts and avoid the business, but are able to walk to quite a bit of different locations for shopping, tourism and dining. This will be a great spot for you and your friends. Staffing is great and friendly and provides excellent service.

All of the staff were wonderful and very accommodating!
However, there did not appear to be many guests. Quite convenient location and perhaps would have more guests if updated?
We were disappointed that there was only breakfast / lunch service and no longer evening dinner service.
(As a first time visitor to Merida) my opinion is it's a beautiful property that probably could be returned to its former glory if updated and well maintained.

It’s an old construction, beautiful, that needs some repairs … also, they need to add new towels … to make us feel more comfortable or just bring your own like I did for myself ! Misleading \"amenities\" no laundry, wifi bad

Five star lobby. Two star rooms. Falsely advertise laundry on the page - they don't have laundry. I booked this room SOLELY to do my laundry as I was staying in a hostel previously - and would've gone somewhere else had I known. They told me \"we have a laundry pick-up service that operates some days, if they're available.\" Had to spend a whole day walking to the laundromat and back to the hotel with bags of clothes, missed the museum I wanted to see. Wifi was broken. No microwave even though I paid extra for a fridge. How was I supposed to warm up food?

Would love a refund as they have misleading information on the hotel page.

I really wanted to enjoy this hotel but I wouldn't stay here again. My toilet didn't flush, so I had to constantly fiddle with it to fill with water and reflush. It was kind of yuck. The shower was dirty when I checked in so I had to clean it with wipes I packed. It's a little bit out of the way from decent food and entertainment but not too far. The bed was SUPER comfy though. Satin bedding was not changed which included the pillow cases which is not sanitary. The rest of the cotton bedding had been changed and smelled clean and fresh. The turn down was great! Customer service was excellent and the pool/garden is gorgeous!

MOST HORRIBLE HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED AT, DO NOT STAY HERE!!!The reception staff were lovely is the only thing nice I can say , the foyer was clean but the rooms look clean yet the bedside lights were covered in dust, no towels, shower curtain was mouldy, states has room service, they don’t, states has a spa, they don’t, states have a swim up bar and two restaurants, they don’t its a cafe at best that is only open 7-3and the restaurant staff are very rude, don’t give you change just expect it as their tip. Awful overpriced hotel. The only exception is the receptionist Sophia whom is lovely, friendly and helpful. WORST HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED AT AND UNBELIEVABLY OVERPRICED,DO NOT STAY HERE

The building is beautiful and well maintained. Clean except for pool which is also cold. By the pool is an odor like sewer, not overwhelming but constant. Water in bathroom sink has sulfurous odor. They give you 2 small water bottles per day. Must pay for more. Can get twice size for same price at Oxxo. Restaurant only open until 3pm. Food quality poor. Bar not well stocked, not even decent chelada. About 3 blocks from restaurants. Closest block to hotel a little sketch. Linen quality poor. Young desk clerk helpful and friendly. Others not so much. Left early. Refund for unused days not forthcoming. Entire operation seems like they need the money.

Missed opportunity to run a great hotel. Indifferent and borderline rude front desk staff. No help at all with any request for things or services outside of existing setup/inventory. Examples: could not provide hot water for tea; fridge in the room only for a surcharge; no bar, drinks for purchase after 3 PM; business Center not operational. We asked for a business Zoom call as public space internet was patchy, and space was loud - no privacy.

On-site free parking
Swimming pool is great, but cleanliness is questionable.

For us the state of cleanliness was a non starter. The pillows were smelly, the comforters were dirty, and the towels old and quite in bad shape. The location is convenient and the hotel could be nice, I just hope they would really amp up their attention to basic things such as cleanliness and state of linen, towels, etc.
Other things important but perhaps not critical… the soaps they provide are quite stinky, and there is no courtesy shampoo. The little fridge is VERY noisy.
People are nice, very attentive and cordial, like all Merida people, but that was not enough to make our stay memorable

I think this property is trying to get back up &running after Covid . They seemed to only have a few staff. We never could figure out when we would be able to have a hot shower. When I would call front desk they made it sound like hot water needed to be turned on each day? Breakfast was horrible weak coffee, bad fruit , never did bring my eggs. Seemed like only one guy there doing all the work. Front desk often abandoned so no one to ask questions. Room was ok and good water pressure in shower but shower curtain too short and water went everywhere throughout bathroom. We tipped our maid each day as room was refreshed each day and it felt clean. Air conditioning was excellent, cableTV but no English channels. The manger spoke English and was very attentive desiring to help. Pool steps felt slimy as if had not been cleaned in a long time.

The place looked beautiful on the pictures but once a we got there, it was like a ghost hotel. nobody else was staying there, only me. The room was dirty, dust everywhere, bathroom courtains looked like haven’t been changed in months. Tv not working. Elevator not working . Pool is not in service, full of trash. Restaurant not functional. To make the story short, they used deceiving pictures. Worse place I’ve been.
I refused to stay there and decided to look for a different hotel.

Do not stay here if you want a pool. Tight pool courtyard is surrounded by the 5 floor hotel on 2 sides along with beautiful but heavy foliage blocks any sun, pool not good. Other than that place is beautiful and clean.

We stayed 3 nights and had a wonderful time! It is close to all Centro activities. Starbucks is only two blocks away. For us that was a must. The staff were exceptionally helpful and kind. The atmosphere of the inner grounds is quiet and majestic with two different courtyards, the lobby and pool. They are both a wonderful place to relax, swimming or not. Our room was on the top floor (5th with elevator) so views from the balcony we're amazing. Great wheelchair accessibiIity. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to explore Merida Centro.

Great hotel

Hotel has 24 hr front desk that was very kind in receiving and checking in, showing the room and services. I enjoyed the comfort of the bed and AC, the water pressure of the shower, and the courtyard to sit in the shade and enjoy the breaze. Good location for Centro Histórico. They called a cab for me to get back to airport and were helpful when I had questions. The housekeeping was very thorough and also respectful of my things. ¡Muchas gracias!

I loved the architecture, the building was beautiful. Unfortunately, they gave me a room I did not pay for, refused to upgrade me to the correct room. The man that works the night shift is lazy and rude. Do not stay past a certain time because they lock the Hotel doors and get upset when they open up for you! Pool was nice and cleaned regularly! Room service wakes you up really early to clean, even though you put the do not disturb sign. No elevator in the wing that they sent me to, and they start making loud banging noises around 5am. Had to go activate my key card every single day because they kept deactivating it (mind you, the room they gave me was the farthest room at the tower with no elevator) Merida is really hot and tiring, last thing I want to do is go back down to get card activated... every single day! I paid for King sized bed, got tiny double junior beds that were really uncomfortable! Mattress and pillows were like cardboard. Over all room was very nice looking and clean.

The only things that would keep me from going back are the bed and pillows. They were very hard. Not a pleasant sleep.
Changing rooms didn't help. The beds and pillows were hard in the new room too. And towels seemed to be at least 10 years old.

The hotel is very well located. It is a 15-20 minute walk from the major attractions in Merida's historic center. In particular it is two blocks from Santa Lucia Park, which has a number of restaurants and stores. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was large with a lovely balcony overlooking the pool.

Building was old architecture and the courtyard was beautiful.
The pool was clean enough but it was not cleaned as often as it should have been.
The room was lovely but the curtain rods were unattached; a few details were not attended to.
All in all we were comfortable and pleased.

We changed rooms because in our first room, the small terrace was overgrown with palm leaves, including a dead one which was depressing to look at. The second room was better. The front desk was helpful and easily expedited the change.

We loved the staff. The people are warm and eager to please. The dining service was not as fast as we are used to as New Yorkers but that’s to be expected!

We were totally satisfied with out stay and plan to return on our next trip to Merida. I would have liked to see washrags or face clothes if requested for the rooms, but we made do.

The hotel is a lovely property accesible to many tourist attractions walking. The problem is service and cleanliness. Our room was never clean only towel changes and bed made. Even dirty glasses were left in the room. Only two staff members were eager to help, the rest seem to be so unhappy with their jobs. Price is similar to other properties yet you get no breakfast like other hotels do because we reserved via Travelocity. Ridiculous! Finally, be careful with reservations and cancellations ., all properties charge 1 night penalty if you don’t cancell on time they will charge the full amount of your stay !!!!
I will never stay or recommend this hotel to anyone that likes good service and a clean room.

It suffers a bit from the usual Mexican situation, not enough thought given to long term maintenance. Ex a number of pool tiles are long gone; a simple fix, if, when you built the place, you kept a supply somewhere knowing they’d eventually be needed. But you see that everywhere in Mexico. Anyway, all in all, quite an excellent place for the money, with good restaurants an easy walk away, and a nice front desk staff to welcome you.

Not sure why this hotel has good reviews. We stayed there for half our trip and was very disappointed. The staff was very unfriendly and put out with any request or question (such as a refill of coffee at breakfast, four towels in the room since we had four people, etc). Trying to get towels for the pool was a chore as well. Restaurant food was okay and you had to hunt down staff to get service. There was something every day that made the experience worse. Had we not booked through Expedia and paid already, we would have moved back to our first hotel. This place was awful!

A sinister late night experience in the bar was a little troubling...the collection of staff and others would have made an excellent crew for a spaghetti western. The look I got awaiting my change after ordering a beer (and leaving part of intended tip on the counter) caused me to shudder and depart quickly!

Staff very friendly, kinda hard to sleep at times, could hear furniture being moved in the adjacent rooms, wish housekeeping would’ve changed the shower curtain at least once during our 7 day stay, housekeeping also overlooked that we were out of toilet paper

Good hotel in Merida!

The hotel was very nice inside. It was renovated and decorated in a Colonial style.
