Had an awesome view of rainforest from the room. Saw Tucan birds and monkeys from the room. The location is awesome with a 360 degree view from the top of the rainforest, mountains. Got to see beautiful sunrise and sunset. Restaurant and bar was nice as well. Highly recommend.

Love the multiple long and high hanging bridges spanning from tree to tree. Lots of fun to walk, climb, and observe in the park. Delicious breakfast in a lovely open cafe platform with wonderful natural views.

The staff here are great - very helpful and accommodating. The view from the hotel is stunning - I highly recommend catching both a sunrise and a sunset from the rooftop area. I saw lots of wildlife on the trails through the grounds - well worth exploring those as well. My room was small, but spotlessly clean and had everything I needed.

Everything was very accessible. The views are out of this world and you can literally see animals from the restaurant balcony. Beautiful hanging bridges and trails around as well. Overall very upscale and nice feeling hotel with some of the friendliest and most attentive staff I’ve encountered. Highly recommend if you’re visiting Manuel Antonio.

I cannot even imagine staying anywhere else in Quepos! First of all we already planning to come back! The hotel is awesome! The people are amazing! The location is outstanding! We have seen all the animals at the hotel park! 7 hanging bridges and forest filled with beautiful animals! All 3 types of monkeys, sloths, lizards, kinkajou, agouti, black iguanas, parrots, tucans and many more! Pura Vida!

Staff was wonderful. Location fabulous. Rooms were tidy and functional. The hotel property is a private park with trails and hanging bridges fully accessible to the public. A free 7 am guided tour of the property was the highlight of our stay (Jose, our guide, was excellent).

Slight demerits for non-functioning internet (staff said there was some utility work going on) and cold showers.

Overall it was a very nice hotel, nicely situated at the top of the mountain. A main reason for me to remove a star: check in was supposed to be 3PM, we were still waiting for our room at 5pm, finally got the room code at 5:10PM. When I got into the room, there was still a used glass with water in it. Overall the room was clean, with great view. The bed was comfortable and real queen size. The buffet breakfast was decent with good variety of eggs, protein (chicken or sausage), plantains and roasted potatoes. There were also yummy overnight oats. There was an ice machine on the 2nd floor and water dispenser at the entrance of the restaurant, which were convenient. At our breakfast on the 2nd day , we were visited by many monkeys, saw toucans, and green parrots. We didn't take advantage of the nature tour because we were starved at 7am and didn't want to wait until 9:15 to do the tour after breakfast. It was already so hot by 8am, we wanted to be on the beach!

The staff is here is amazing! We booked a premium room and our 180 view balacony with comfy swing chair was great. We saw a beautiful toucan, squirrel monkeys and a Capuchin monkey came to our railing! Our room was really nice, very comfortable, good storage to unpack for 3 nights. Breakfast was good with a view from the open air seating area. They don’t serve lunch, but do have a dinner menu. We didn’t get a chance to have dinner there.
There are some maintenance jobs this hotel could do to make it first class. Clean up the grounds around the hotel. When viewing from our balcony we can see THIS, as well as the beautiful view of the forest. Clean up your entrance to Mountain Top, make it look upscale, not cheap. Live flowering plants would be great. The reception “house” needs to look more polished. With these changes, you can be 5 stars!

My husband and I, along with another couple, stayed at this amazing hotel for three nights, and I truly enjoyed every moment. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were incredibly friendly. The restaurant was the highlight for us—we had both breakfast and dinner there, and the food was fresh and delicious. We were especially excited to see monkeys during breakfast, along with many birds and other animals. We also enjoyed walking across the hanging bridges and exploring the trails. It was a truly wonderful experience.

Lovely room, excellent staff, friendly and obliging. The 360 view from the hotel was amazing. Mountain on one side and ocean to the other. Our room had the most spectacular view looking out into the rainforest and ocean. It was a tonic to the eyes. The photo’s on the website does not do this hotel justice. It’s better in reality. Thank you Enzo for your hospitality and friendly chats. You and your team took good care of us and always with a smile. Do not hesitate booking this hotel. It is very reasonably priced for what it offers.

Our stay at mountain top park was absolutely wonderful. It really is at the top of the mountain (The drive from the front entrance to the hotel is steep and windy, in a fun way). On our first morning after checking in, we saw some squirrel monkeys climbing through the trees from our balcony, and when we had breakfast we saw a few toucans in the trees right outside the hotel, along with a great view of the ocean. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the breakfast is wonderful (the hot food is served by staff, but is otherwise self-serve). A stay at this hotel includes free access to the grounds on site which have a wide range of wildlife and a few suspension bridges, and even includes a free morning tour if you sign up one day in advance. The overall feeling we got while staying here is that the staff really cares about making your experience a fun one, and I would definitely stay again if we were to come back to the area!

We checked in at night (9 PM) and there were no parking spaces to begin with. Had to park the car behind another and there was no one help. Entered the room to find bugs on the floor and hair in the shower and bathroom area. I understand that it is difficult to control bugs but have the floor full of dead mosquitos and other bugs gave the impression the room was cleaned a long time ago. The bedsheets were dusty. My got rashes and was itching and coughing all night. We lost our sleep and had to check out early to find another place last minute. I hope this was a one-off and others don’t face this. The property itself was located in a beautiful spot and wildlife was abundant but we couldn’t enjoy it.

We stayed at this hotel for two days and we had a great time. The room and the bathroom were very clean and spotless. The view from the balcony of the room was fantastic. The bar and restaurant had a fabulous siting area. Plenty of wildlife around. We had capuchin and squirrel monkeys visit us in the mornings. The staff were very friendly.
My wife had a great massage in house by a fantastic masseuse, Wendolyn Serrano Vega. She is highly recommended if you’re interested.

What a truly great hotel AND experience! The hotel is wonderful and the views all around are stunning. It’s its own nature tour with paths and a zip line and bridge. You will see monkeys, sloths, iguanas and so many more all over the place!
The staff….WOW! They’re all wonderful, helpful, friendly and so personable! They have great suggestions and help to set up tours and provide really good options for things to do in town. The restaurant and bar are a joy to spend time in while eating fantastic food! Don’t hesitate to book there. Don’t look at other options. Do yourself a favor and stay there! This hotel is tops!

Our room was separate from the main building, so it was a bit inconvenient having to walk up steep road or trail. Our balcony was very small that one can only stand in it; a chair cannot fit. The staff was awesome. The location was perfectly secluded. We saw more sloths at the hotel property than at the national park. Would definitely stay again.

I loved the hotel, everything I love, nature, wildlife, amenities, nice views. No pool but the beach it's very close. Definitely my only reason to come back to Costa Rica. 😍
I went to Manuel Antonio National Park and only saw a monkey, at the hotel I enjoyed so much the walking, the hanging breaches.
the macaws, the monkeys even saw a mom with a baby, toucans, an sloth on one of the hanging breaches they have no need to pay a guide to see the wildlife.
I definitely recommend this hotel, the breakfast was good, service excellent!

Unfortunately we had just arrived in Costa Rica and drove there, arriving to the hotel after 10:30 pm. The digital keypad did not work. We tried many times, messaged, texted to let them know the code was not correct and we could not get into our room. We were not able to get in touch with anyone. We even contacted Hotels.com; they were not able to contact anyone as well. We sat for hours in the open space lounge area; hearing all the wildlife and monkeys; nervous, tired, upset.
After much help from Hotels.com - Kharisma; she was able to find another hotel that was open and had a room for the three of us.
We were very disappointed in that fact that we were not able to stay there; as we were so looking forward to it!
Additionally there was a couple arguing loudly and the woman crying. It didn’t sound like a good situation.
I have not been to a hotel where there was no overnight staff, security or someone to help in case of an emergency; especially in a hotel located in the middle of the jungle. Super disappointing and I felt; bad business.
As mentioned before we want to extend a special shout out to Kharisma; from Hotels.com. She was our angel! She went above and beyond … and even helped us get connected with her when the WiFi dropped. She should get a special recognition and bonus. Outstanding professional through and through.

I asked about the happy hour cookies. Since there were none, he brought us the most incredible cheese cake that his wife made. All staff were great. Available when needed. Just send a WhatsAp message.

We hd to messge on WhatsAp to get a key for the safe.
There are stairs. The reception is down a very steep hill. You have to get a golf cart up to the top.
The bridges take about 20 minutes to walk youself.
Good breakfast. Nice staff.
Happy hour 2 for 1. 4 to 6 pm. The bartender started late. We got there at 4:10, he said it would take 20 minutes to set up, so we left.

We LOVE this place. The staff are all amazing, every one. The rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. The views are breathtaking. The breakfast is the same every day though they do change the fruit, but it doesn’t matter because there is enough choice. Breakfast is with a beautiful view.

We sacrificed a pool for 7 nights for this hotel (with two young kids!) and ended up staying an extra night because it’s awesome. We did day passes at other local hotels to use their pools and went to the beach.

Perfectly in the middle of Quepos and MA so was great to go to either place. I’m happy we weren’t at one end.

I only put a lost star due to the hanging bridges, I feel they could be safer. Our 4 year old was fine directly with us but we always had to hold the baby. We only did two morning tours, but both awesome. Monkeys visited for breakfast one morning, toucans several mornings in the trees. Sloths on the free tours. Iguanas.

The staff are always attentive and also drive you in the golf cart if you need a ride one way up or down the hill.

Please do the (free) nature guided tour, Jose was great and I saw more wildlife here than at the Manuel Antonio Park. The room is quite small and having to park the car down the mountain and be driven in an electric cart is not terribly convenient. Overall it's a great option and I would go again.

Mountain Top Park Hotel was a great place for us to stay! We stayed for a week. The staff is SUPER nice and helpful and accommodating. They really spend the time to make you feel welcome and make your stay as easy as possible. The only downside of the hotel is the surrounding area there’s not a ton to do if you’re staying for a few days or more. But the grounds of the hotel is gorgeous and walking around in the mountain top park is so cool. We saw so much wildlife even from our balcony!! It was the coolest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Truly loved it and so thankful for the staff!!

The property has amazing scenic views just a step away from your bedroom. The hotel offers breakfast also with amazing views and if youre lucky you can observe different wildlife. The costumer service 100/10 from before your trip to during the trip. Dont miss out on the tours they offer, like hanging bridges and zip lining and walking tours to spot the wildlife even a spa. If you want to disconnect this is the perfect place. Very friendly staff that can even help with booking tours off the premises.

This hotel was very nice with some nice (short) trails to whet your appetite for Manuel Antonio. There were also a series of suspension bridges that the kids really enjoyed. Staff were very nice and have extended golf carts to take you from the main gate to the hotel entrance which is nice when you have already hiked miles. Breakfast was great. Sunrises from the forest view rooms were breathtaking. Only negative would have been the size of the room was a little cramped for 4 people (2 adults and 2 teenagers). But really this was one of our favorite stays.

I’d definitely stay here again.

The staff made this vacation stay exceptional for us. The kindness went beyond what we could’ve imagined. The food here was better than the restaurants we’ve tried outside of the hotel. And the morning sunrise views were immaculate. The free breakfast included with the stay was great! And the monkeys swinging from tree to tree while eating was definitely exciting to watch. I highly recommend this stay if you’re in the area.

There is very limited parking spaces in front of the hotel. The reception (entrance) is far from the hotel. the hotel is at the top of the mountain which is difficult to walk. The breakfast buffet was very limited options and the staff serve the food , you are not free to take whatever you want, but hotel is very clean, bathrooms are fancy, towels and sheets are super clean, beds are okay, not terrible and the smart TV was a plus. You can watch netflix. the view on the top is amazing , you can see the sea and the mountains range from the top , breath taken views. reception personnel are extremely helpful and nice, they will help you with anything you need. I had a good time there

It was nicely situated, as the title of the hotel states, at a mountain top with a 360degree view from mountain side to beach side. Rooms and bathrooms are very clean, new construction. Breakfast buffet options were great. We initially got a room that had a bathroom pipe/sewer issue but they quickly moved us to another room.

They offer a nice morning tour of the hotels rainforest….we got to see a lot of different animals, especially monkeys.

The DISADVANTAGE was that after wanting to just relax the 1st evening and enjoy the property…..there was not enough restaurant staff for dinner so at 7:55pm the chef told the waiter he would not accommodate any more seatings and we were not able to eat dinner there….especially with over an hour left before restaurant closed. That part is poorly managed.

Cleaning lady aggressive and rude, persistently knocking on the door 40 min before check out time to vacate the room. And not sure what she told the staff but after I checked out, she brought in 2 other staff and they were all inspecting the room not sure for what. Like I was doing something suspicious in the room since I was a solo traveler. When I asked what was wrong, their response was this is normal procedure which I highly doubt.

Wow! This was the perfect hotel. Staff in the hotel and restaurant were fantastic and friendly. Kevin cooked up some tuna we caught on the boat and it was excellent. Also the food at the restaurant was very good. You must try the soup!!
The hanging bridge tour is a must do and free. Saw sunrises and sunsets. So many common viewing areas! Having the golf carts take you up the steepest part of the mountain is great too. Lots of really good restaurants nearby.
Can’t wait to go back!

There were no bath towels and no bottom sheet or comforter on the bed. I had to dry myself with a hand towel after my shower. Breakfast was not very good and there were ants on 80% of the food on the buffet table. The view from my room was gorgeous however.

The employees were very pleasant and nice. The parking is abysmal. The hotel is unfinished on the exterior and has many unpleasant and hazardous issues. The breakfast was so bland as to be inedible. Other reviews have to be fake, bc this would not be 5 stars by even the most basic standards. We had to replace a tire from damage from construction debris in parking as well. Overall, wouldn’t return.

We stayed at the forest view room and the view was absolutely breathtaking, and the beds were comfortable. It was a pleasure watching the sunrise from your bed every morning before excursions. The staff were welcoming and very competent. The hotel is a boutique style so the staff will know you by name and drive you with their golf cart from/to the main gate whenever. For all service all you have to do is text them on WhatsApp and they are there in less than 5mins.
The hotel is a park as well so you will spot animals. We got to see sloth, monkeys, and macaws. We also zip lined the park, which again the staff can help you book. They also arranged our Manuel Antonio Park tour. They have multiple hanging bridges to visit. In conclusion, quoting my teenage son, this hotel is AMAZING! They have everything.

Really loved staying at Mountain Top. Our room was great except for toilet flushing, but that seems to be a problem throughout the country. The view was amazing from our balcony which had a swinging chair that added to the experience. The amount of animals we spotted just on the property's site was amazing: toucans, about 50 titi monkeys, macaws, black lizards and the sounds of howler monkeys. The hanging bridges were a wee suspect, but we didn't die. The only complaint of the site were the strange quirks: the partially completed third floor roof deck, the strange piles of construction materials laying about. Not problems per se, just aspects that prevented me from giving MTPH a straight 5 star review. Staff was amazing. From service to massages, everything was spectacular.

Great location and friendly staff

We arrived in the dark and were met by a very friendly reception member of staff who was very clear in his instruction as to how the place ran. Which is by the way very efficient using WhatsApp as a means of communication. Mountain top Park benefits from being at the very top of the hill with fantastic views from the restaurant bar area in both directions over the sea and across to the mountains. we were very lucky to have toucans and monkeys come and visit the property on site. There are great hanging bridges and trails which you can either do independently or with a knowledgeable guide for free in the morning who managed to spot three sloths on the nature tour. All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating and had a good sense of humour particular mention to Emze, Amity, and Jose Jairo.

Unique Experience in Nature – Loved It!

This hotel is truly one of a kind! The location is amazing—set right inside a beautiful park, it feels like you're staying in the middle of nature. The hotel offers both day and night tours, which were unforgettable. We saw so many animals, including colorful macaws and even a sloth! It was such a special experience.

Our room was clean, cozy, and very comfortable. If you book a mountain view or ocean view room, you're in for a treat. Just a small note: if your room isn’t one of those, you may need to walk uphill a bit to get there unless you ask for a golf cart—but it’s not a big issue, and the walk is pleasant.

Everything was wonderful overall, though I did notice one girl working at the café didn’t seem not very happy. It didn’t affect our experience too much, but I hope management can work on improving customer service there.

All in all, this is a peaceful, unique place to stay if you love nature and wildlife. Highly recommended!

Literally stay in a park!

Stayed with my family including two teen boys. The hotel was fantastic! All the staff were very accommodating and helpful. We arrived over 2 hours before check-in with the hope of using the laundry facilities. Even though we were very early Jose said our room was ready and allowed us to check in early. They do not have a laundry room, but they offer laundry services. We had the laundry picked up and dropped off quite promptly. They offer a free morning nature walk through the hanging bridges and trails on the property for overnight guests. The property is amazing! We saw so much wild life from the comfort of our balcony which included a hammock chair. Pack your binoculars! Other reviews mentioned the construction. They worked during the day while we were out exploring so it didn’t bother us at all. The on site restaurant had good options at reasonable prices. We ate there twice for dinner. Breakfast was very good. The only thing they could do better is have some Salsa Lizano for breakfast! I love that stuff!

The Mountaintop is beautiful with a lot of wildlife for viewing. The free tour is excellent and well worth the early morning start.
