Allison at the reception and Moises at La Pola went above and beyond and provided a great experience at their hotel. The place is very well maintained and the bungalows are superb! Highly recommend this if visiting this area. Capucchino monkeys were around to give us a great welcome!

We loved our stay here! First, the location is PERFECT!!! close to cafe Emilio and the beaches. The room was super clean and nice and the bed was so comfy! We also loved the breakfast in the morning and eating by the pool. When I needed help with something, everyone at the desk was very friendly and helpful. We also got our clothes washed and they came out great. My only complain is the restaurant attached \"yolo\" is very tacky and almost hinders the luxury and vibes of Ecotica.

Everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming. We especially appreciated the breakfast staff member. He was consistently friendly and warm, and the chefs for both breakfast and dinner—everything was exceptional, including a homemade blue cheese dressing that was outstanding. The breakfast potatoes were absolutely delicious.

I was also very grateful for the front desk team’s help on 6/17. I was feeling stressed because I couldn’t figure out how to purchase tickets for Manuel Antonio National Park, since they can’t be bought at the gate. I couldn’t complete the checkout process on my own, but the front desk employee patiently assisted me and made everything so much easier. I truly appreciated the support.

My guy Moises was a pleasure to meet at the Hotel as well. Overall staff was amazing, but he deserves a special shout out. Makes greet drinks and super good guy

Our stay at Ecotica was absolutely wonderful. The hotel is beautiful, surrounded by nature, and offers an unforgettable Costa Rican experience. We loved seeing wildlife around the property, and the rooms were comfortable, clean, and well-maintained. The staff throughout the hotel were friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making our stay even more enjoyable.

The only disappointing part of our visit was our experience at the YOLO restaurant. Unfortunately, we encountered a waiter who was quite rude and made us feel unwelcome. He rolled his eyes when we asked questions and when we requested recommendations, which left a negative impression. The service we received there did not reflect the excellent hospitality we experienced throughout the rest of the hotel.

Despite this unpleasant experience at the restaurant, everything else about Ecotica was outstanding. The property, atmosphere, and overall service were exceptional. We would still recommend Ecotica to anyone visiting Manuel Antonio and would gladly stay here again.

I am so glad we stayed at Ecotica while in Manuel Antonio. The location is right on the main strip, walkable to many restaurants, bars, and other conveniences and just a few minutes drive away from the park. However, it also provided a jungly oasis, with winding paths leading to the different rooms through the jungle, over a stream, and past lots of wildlife including monkeys, frogs, and tons of amazing birds! The staff were very friendly and accommodating; they greeted us by name each day and made sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable. After our day's activities, we spent hours relaxing with drinks in the gorgeous pool area. The room itself was huge, beautifully decorated, and extremely comfortable, with a private balcony overlooking the trees. It's also worth mentioning that the attached bar, YOLO Social, was always hopping with great drinks, board games, and pool. We looked forward to coming back here after the day's adventures and would absolutely choose it again.

Moises has been giving my wife and I excellent service! He is a natural and we can tell that he loves people and truly cares about their experience. Even though it is raining today, he helped us forget about the weather. The whole staff has been very accommodating. We are having an amazing time and we highly recommend this hotel! We will definitely return the next time we are in Manuel Antonio!

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at Ecotica. The pool area is well kept and inviting. The rooms could use a bit of updating but filled our purpose as it was spacious. The bathroom was small in proportion to the room. The breakfast served was fresh, but the fruit didn’t seem fresh. Nothing spectacular but there were few choices. The major downfall of the resort is the amount of stairs! Crazy amount of stairs in the humidity!
The brightest stars were the front desk staff. Allison was the sweetest. She greeted us with a smile and was always there to help us with our plans. Raphael was also very helpful and accommodated our wishes whenever able.

Loved staying at Ecotico for a weekend. Gorgeous campus, very nice staff, excellent breakfast. My daughter and I enjoyed the spa that fit is in last minute. After getting caught in the rain a staffer very kindly ran our clothes through the dryer. Would stay here again.

If you are looking for an authentic and intimate Costa Rican experience, Ecotica Boutique Hotel in Manuel Antonio is an absolute gem. From the moment we arrived, we felt less like \"hotel guests\" and more like welcomed friends in a private jungle sanctuary.
The staff here truly understands the \"Pura Vida\" spirit. Every interaction was marked by genuine warmth and a \"nothing is too much trouble\" attitude.

One of the most magical parts of staying at Ecotica is that you don't even have to leave the property to see Costa Rica’s famous residents. The hotel is beautifully integrated into the rainforest, and we were treated to daily visits from:
• Monkeys: Playful capuchin and squirrel monkeys
• Birds: Stunning scarlet macaws and toucans adding vibrant splashes of color to the canopy.

The Highlight, Spa Services by Maria
While the entire stay was fantastic, the absolute standout experience was the spa. Specifically, you must book a session with Maria.
Her technique is incredible—easily one of the best massages I have ever had. Maria has a gift for finding every bit of tension and melting it away. Combined with the sounds of the jungle is absolutely incredible!

We stayed in one of 7 bungalows which was fabulous. Some of the rooms were directly onto the road, whereas all the bungalows were tucked away at the back, near the swimming pool and close to the forest gardens with it's daily dose of wildlife. The rooms were kept beautifully clean and it was lovely having dressing gowns to lounge around in. Shame no sun on the terrace, but the rooms were always cool...
Every afternoon about 4pm came the wildlife show. Each day different, whether it was capuchin monkeys or macaws, howler monkeys or toucans, we always made sure we were there ready with our binoculars and camera.

This was an amazing resort. The pool is warm and shaded and comfortable and a great respite from the heat. The best part of the day is evening (around 4:30 to 5:30pm) when the animals come out to play at the pool. Highly recommend lounging at the pool before sunset to see the birds, monkeys and occasional deer!
Rooms are great and the access to YOLO, the bar/restaurant next door and the pool bar/resto, is great for breakfast (breakfast was included in our booking), pool side drinks and snacks (there was a 2 for 1 cocktails happy hour from 3-6), and dinner in the main resto. Our kids (12 and 15) also enjoyed playing pool and the numerous games available at the resto area. Rooms were great with great AC which was essential in Manuel Antonio. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would consider staying here again if we were to return to MA.

The pool and lounge area was so perfect!! Especially after going on adventures all day. It was a great place to relax. It was intimate and we got to know multiple guests. Beautiful property!! Moneys, toucans, mini capybara looking things would come out and get pretty close! It was amazing. Our villa was great and felt private even though the pool was a quick walk away. Breakfast was great! 10/10 would recommend this place. We even had my six year old and she loved it too. Lots of couples and some families. Great place to relax but super close to everything. We really loved our server, Moses!! He was the absolute best!

Amazing stay at Ecotica. The room with two queen beds was quite spacious and it was spotless everyday. We also were up in the trees where we were graced with squirrel monkey’s swinging in the trees next to our room every day.
We saw a sloth up close and white face monkeys every day along with many other animals. It truly was a treat! The grounds were lush and beautiful and the staff were magical!

This is an incredibly beautiful hotel with an amazing staff. Moses is awesome and greets you with a smile every time he sees you. The bar is convenient, although the drinks are very expensive outside of happy hour. There is wildlife all around the hotel, from three different species of monkeys to scarlet macaws, to iguanas and frogs. It's in a great location within walking distance from anything you might need. Highly recommend.

The hotel was great. Stayed in a Signature Bungalow for 5 nights. Great location. Breakfast was good. 5 or 6 options on the menu. Good coffee, juice & water.

The staff made the stay great. Especially Robert and Moy.

My only complaint was the check in process we arrived from San Jose by car 3.5 hour drive. Arrived at the Hotel at 2pm, check in is 3pm. The young woman working reception told us that the bungalow was still being cleaned.. which was not true, I walked over and looked. No early check in. Unbelievable! The hotel was not booked plenty of vacancy. Slow rainy season. Reception made us wait until after 3 to check in. Never offered to take are bags and store them while we explored town. My opinion is reception needs better customer service skills/people skills. Reception is the first people you typically meet at a hotel. Further, there are sooo many places to stay in Manual Antonio.

Property grounds were very maintained which enhanced it's beautification. Monkeys came to visit almost every evening about 5p.m. Free Breakfast was delicious. Great friendly staff. Lots of Great Restaurants were walking distance. The Balcony was great to enjoy morning espresso they provided. Our room was cleaned every day. The only thing that bothered me was that there wasn't a dresser so our clothes were exposed on shelves which I didn't care for..Also no iron in room. Not sure if they would have provided one if I asked. Room was comfortable. and felt safe.The sounds of nature were relaxing. I would recommend staying here.

This hotel was one of the best experience I’ve ever had! My wife and I went there to celebrate our honeymoon. As soon as we arrived there, I was mesmerized, and we got to see the monkeys which we thought was pretty cool. They have a restaurant they’re called YOLO and the staff are extremely kind and very helpful. The best service we’ve ever had. We booked a bungalow and the views were to die for! extremely clean and very accommodating. Breakfast is by the pool, which gives you a scenic view, and of course the staff were also extremely kind. This hotel is also located very close to Manuel Antonio national Park, which also leads you to the most beautiful beaches. I highly recommend this place. And again thank you Ecotica for making our honeymoon perfect!

Absolutely stunning! Between the foliage and animals ( monkey's and McCaws ) you get to see, this is paradise. Words can not explain my wife and I experience. The staff worked in unison which made our stay flawless. You wouldn't even have to leave the property if you didn't want to. We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and I haven't seen that glow from here in years. 100% recommend. Clean, safe, friendly and Ecotica treats you like family. You will not regret it. Where do i start!! Absolutely love our stay at this hotel within the staff Moses at the bar. He was absolutely wonderful. Check-in was very easy. We had a grand bungalow and our room was phenomenal. Housekeeping was very clean. We’re around a lot of different restaurants five minutes away from the national park it was one great experience. There are a lot of animals and monkeys around in our hotel which was a plus my mom was at another hotel nearby and there wasn’t a lot of animals to see around their hotel but ours had a lot, which was one of the best parts of the experience while you’re laying down on the pool you will absolutely see the animals once in a lifetime experience thank you all for such a great time

The pool area was definitely the highlight—beautifully maintained and surrounded by nature. It was such a treat to watch monkeys and parrots while relaxing in the water.
Breakfast was made to order and quite good, a nice touch to start the day. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, though they could use a bit of a refresh. Another bonus: the hotel is within walking distance of several interesting restaurants, and it’s also very close to Manuel Antonio National Park, which makes it a great base for exploring the area.
All in all, a relaxing and memorable stay, especially for nature lovers.

We spent out 26th anniversary at Ecotica and we had a blast! The staff was awesome, the free breakfast is great but you can order what you want, you don't have to order from the menu. We enjoyed YOLO just about every night, they have board games, pool table and great food/staff. We saw macaws, toucans, white faced capuchin monkeys, squirrel monkeys and howlers from our balcony, it was an OASIS. The resort is small but we didn't feel cramped or crowded. We spent our mornings and evenings on the balcony listening to the surrounding nature. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are staying in the area.

Thisos a small little boutique hotel that is beautiful. The staff were so helpful, the food was good, the rooms were clean and comfortable. There we only 2 things that were not perfect and really not a big deal. Frist there is not an elevator and there are many steps up to the room with luggage. Secondly in room 17 you could easily here the music from YOLO. There is another gpod sode pf this hotel; MONKEYS!

Beautiful property located in a great location. We saw the most wildlife from the hotel and saw all three types of monkeys, scarlet macaws, and yellow-throated tucans, all from our balcony! Lastly, Moses the bartender is phenomenal and a great host, and very welcoming. Could not recommend a better place than Ecotica!

The staff were very friendly and the hotel grounds were very beautiful. A frog even stayed right outside our bungalow for a while, and we saw capuchin monkeys on our balcony. Downside is that the wifi was very very slow, virtually nonexistent at times. Also beware of bugs.

This place blew away my expectations. We stayed for a week. The staff is excellent. Shout out to Moises who is the best! Pool area is great with good drinks and food as well as service. Yolo had some of the best food in the area and super convenient. Guest services was super helpful and arranged all of our activities and even let my son borrow a wireless phone charger for a few days since he was having problems. Rooms are clean and maid service was daily and great. Felt super safe. Monkeys rolling in a few times a day was a treat as well. I would definitely stay again.

I booked this property based on rating, photos, and price. Everything was wonderful! Beautiful property, friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast included! The pool area with bar is lovely. We saw many monkeys around the property but they did not interfere. We stayed in the suite rooms building, great room but only issue was some street noise; not a deal breaker! I would certainly recommend Ecotica!
