We are close to the national park and public transportation is quite simple and easily accessible. As seniors it cost us $.82 American to board the bus.
The staff here are absolutely friendly, welcoming, and working hard to make sure that you enjoy your stay. We luxuriated by the pool side and enjoyed dipping into the clean water of the pool for a refreshing pause.
Several staff members went above and beyond!
Yami at the front desk, greeted us warmly and was helpful in obtaining our daily passes needed for the national parks. Her friendly warm face was always there when we returned or needed her assistance with anything.
Alessandro, Alandra and Andrés
These two people were great attentive servers in the dining area. Whether it was breakfast or dinner or simply a drink, they were pleasant, efficient, and always eager to make sure we were comfortable. They answered several questions for us and are clearly genuinely interested in making your stay better.

We had a lovely room, yet this was after another room was give to us. We asked to change, many of the rooms are very dark and a bit gloomy but it's such a shady resort this isn't surprising. The food was good and the staff very helpful and friendly. I felt the pool was too small for the size of resort, we didn't manage to secure a sunbed the whole time we were there. Again shady and I would prefer a sunnier spot for a swim. On the whole a lovely resort, much to like. I just personally prefer a little more light and sunnier spots.

Vegetarian dinner options were limited at La Casa restaurant and kind of expensive (nevertheless, you have a lot of restaurants outside at La Fortuna, but everything else in the resort was very nice and awesome! Booking activities through the hotel was convenient and well-managed (Manuel Antonio tour, local farm tour, etc.). We really enjoyed the food at the restaurant, which was well-priced and convenient. Nice pool area. One minor concerns with the room -- our room had a full side of windows, and only offered large curtains. This created some security concerns and I wish we had blinds.

The reception staff and hotel manager were very welcoming and tried to resolve any issue we had. They went beyond expectation in several occasions. We had breakfast and dinner in the resort and the food was very good. There was no beach view, The resort is about 1 mile far from the beach and we had to take a bus to get there.

Big thanks to the bar and restaurant staff for the extra care and detail in helping our 5 year old celebrate his birthday. :) Also a very special thanks to the cleaning lady who decorated our room without being asked and made it very special. The hotel itself is very clean and modern, food is great and in an excellent location in Manuel Antonio. We saw so much wildlife on the hotel grounds and areas surrounding it. We were there with a large group of 10! Leading a tour is a challenge and we always hope a hotel we book will live up to the hype and this one did for the most part! Lovely setting- animals on the property, rooms clean and lovely. We enjoyed the pool and restaurant! The only issues we had were a really bad attitude from a waiter in the restaurant :/ and the issue of repeatedly being asked to pay our check out bills when we’d already done so. There needs to be an improved we tracking system on that please. Other than that we LOVED our stay!

Rooms are nestled in trees, saw squirrel monkeys near our room. Very friendly and helpful staff. Restaurant food is quite good. City bus stops nearby to go to the beach or other restaurants, and is inexpensive, and there are restaurants within a few minutes walk.

Hotel is along the main street. While it isn’t flashy from the street view, once inside it feels like a magical jungle paradise and feels safe and secluded. There are plenty of walkable dining/shopping options. If you prefer to avoid driving from the resort to Manuel Antonio park, we were able to walk there in about 35min and avoid the hassle of driving/parking, which is a great perk! Hotel breakfast was included and had a variety of good options. We would definitely stay again!

The Falls Resort is on a beautiful property with a nice pool area, restaurant and bar. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and the entire staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms themselves were a bit dated and being in the rain forest there is a bug issue, but I'm sure that can't be helped and every place would have that issue. There are also a variety of animals on the property; monkeys, lizards, agoutis, etc, which we loved seeing! We did really like it and would definitely stay again.

Exceeded expectations — 10 stars! Our stay at The Falls in Manuel Antonio was among the best vacations I’ve ever had. I seriously didn’t want to go home. It’s amazing tropical gardens, it’s fantastic fine dining restaurant and the glorious pool create a lovely oasis. The monkeys were so much fun to watch — but the best part was the warm, friendly staff who made us feel like family. I’m already planning my next stay at The Falls.

We had paid for 2 nights in a standard room. Then our plans cha ged and when we asked Expedia to add another night, the standard room was not available. We then booked the extra night for a three bedroom apartment. This meant that after two days, we would be moving rooms.
When we were checking in, we requested if we could stay all three days in the same place, and they honored that without charging extra for the three bedroom apartment. This was such a big treat for us as we are a family of four (our children are adults).
I would highly recommend the apartment. It had washer/dryer, a full kitchen, and lots of room. We were traveling for 8 days and the last day, we could do laundry. A minimart was next to the location and that made buying fruits, snacks and laundry detergent so easy. If I could give it 50 stars, I would.

Fantastic customer service started before we even checked in. The front desk woman helped place an order at the restaurant to be ready when we got there because we were arriving later than expected with sleepy kids. We were welcomed with yummy welcome drink which the kids loved and then shown to our room. Our dinner was brought right up which was so nice! Everything was clean and the location was super convenient to everything. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and plentiful. Highly recommend staying here!

The hotel was full of trees and plants and wildlife so nice. The food was good and the staff were excellent. The local bus could be caught nearby to the National Park or Quopos for under £1 and was frequent. Outside the hotel we saw sloth with baby and Tucans in the trees. Downside was that outside there were only occasionally places to walk down the road no footpaths so we chose restaurants close by during the day and taxi at night. I would go back to this hotel loved it. There is a small supermarket next door which was handy. Saw many iguana’s in the hotel plus monkeys and a leemar visiting so lovely to see

We booked this hotel because we had been here 3 years ago, and liked it. Unfortunately, it has deteriorated markedly, and now needs very extensive renovation and much better maintenance. Beds are old, hard, and very uncomfortable, furniture is beat up, water pressure and temperature are erratic, and AC can't keep up with heat load. There are hazardous, uneven walkways and stairs without railings. Pool is too shallow to swim. Landscaping has been neglected. The restaurant, which was previously excellent, is now substandard for the area. Repairs are not done professionally...for example, the sink had been repaired without a trap, allowing sewer gas to enter the room. We had to keep water in the sink at all times to prevent noxious odors. I DO want to compliment the STAFF, who were very nice, and did their best to make us comfortable, but this old, run-down hotel is no longer an acceptable value. There are much better options in Manuel Antonio.
