We stayed in the aparthotel which was ok, but felt would benefit from a bathroom upgrade. Breakfast was good with plenty of the usual choice. The bar wasn't open as often as we had expected and there wasn't so much within walking distance with the exception of two supermarkets. We walked up to a tiny pizza place that was mainly takeaway although did have a couple of tables that you could sit at but it was right on the road.

Good Hotel

It was an overall great stay. The only thing, it’s a bit of travel to get to Nice. The bus stop is quite a trek. If you’re brave and want a superb view, this is the place.

Nice hotel but not so much of friendly staff

We got there around 12pm but could not find the hotel in the complex.
So went to the restaurant of the hotel, which is located not directly in the hotel building and asked about the where about of the hotel.
A lady, who seemed to know that we were coming, without even saying hi, replied: \"You know that your room is ready at 2:30?\", which was fine, except at the lease, after having such a long trip from Canada and tired getting there, she could have at the least welcome us and then indicate that we needed to wait.
It just didn't feel like it was a friendly reception of guests coming in.
otherwise the room was good and we were happy with it.
And yes, the pillows were so awkwardly squared shaped and were large that almost would cover 1/3 of the length of the bed!! (very uncomfortable to sleep on).

Good hotel close to facilities

The hotel is build on 2 sites divided by a narrow road. The Expedia site gives Route Departmental as the address but that wasn't on our GPS so you have to use Chemin de la Culasse otherwise the GPS will take you a long way away from your destination. The rooms are small apartments where you can self cater and have a lovely small courtyard. There is a Lidl supermarket within a short distance. There is a very good restaurant with excellent service at Hotel Promotel at the bottom of the hill - the return walk back up the hill is good for you. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the train station with trains taking you into Nice and further afield so you don't need to drive into and try and find parking in Nice. We were able to get our washing done easily.

Good location for Cannes and NICE with Car

The apartment was excellent , very clean , good kitchenette , separate shower and toilet and bedroom with sofa bed in living room. Good sized balcony for admiring local hills scenery from your apartment

Difficult to find but great once you're there

Google maps took us to a retaining wall on a steep hill in the craziest confluence of roundabouts I've ever experienced. I wish I could tell you how we finally stumbled across the place but it wasn't easy and took us 30 minutes of tense, marital bickering to get there. It was pure luck that we found it. Once there, we were visibly frazzled. While the concierge was incredibly helpful, walking us directly to our room (its a HUGE property encompassing several separate outbuildings and quite beautiful for a longer stay)...I was made even more frazzled by the concierge whispering privately in french to my husband about me. not cool. Once settled, our stay was fantastic and if you remove the location and minor service incident from the occasion, I would certainly stay here again and make it a longer stay so I could enjoy the property, pool and kitchenette features more fully. It was more than we needed for a quick overnight stay but we were quite comfortable once there.

Hard to find,

Hard to find, or was it me, we went at a quiet time so the restaurant wasn't open but we had a nice meal at the sister hotel just down the road, a long walk but just doable, it's getting back up the hill that hurts.
the room we had was more akin to a holiday apartment and would have been ideal for a longer stay, but the balcony and kitchen was unnecessary for an over night stay, we would have preferred normal room in main hotel.

Nothing major to criticise

We stayed there for two separate nights in August 2013, to sandwich a 7-night stay out in the country. As a family of five, our hotel choices were limited but Lou Castelet seemed to fit the bill with a two bedroom apartment which could accommodate us all. On both occasions we found the room (\"suite\") to be very clean and well-equipped. Our only minor gripe is that there was nothing by the way of amenities close by, or certainly within walking distance (boulangerie, supermarket etc.), although there is a McDonalds and an under-construction Lidl at the bottom of the hill, so not all bad. Wi-Fi was very ropey and although all four of our family's Android/iOS devices could connect to the hotel's access point, none could reliably access the internet. However there is an internet-connected PC for use by guests just off the lobby. Swimming pool was great and never really busy. The vending machine is a little expensive (€3 for a can of beer! 30 cents in Lidl) and the pool table lacked 3/4 of the balls, the cue ball and tips on the cues. Only minor concerns though so we would stay there again.

Good for a short stay

We stayed here for 2 nights as a group of four. The room was adequate for what we needed - basic kitchen facilities and a place to sleep. The sofa bed was reasonably comfortable, though I wouldn't recommend more than a couple of nights on it. The pool and hotel facilities were really good. Good location and close to nice and monte Carlo. Would rate it 3.5 out of 5.

This was a very nice stay. Everything was clean and the room was clean daily. The room was big and the bathroom was a good size.

It had all the utensils we required, although the cooking area was quite small which made preparing larger meals a bit tricky.

The location is fine if you have a car.

Schönes Appartement in guter Lage um Nizza zu besichtigen. Unweit entfernt befinden sich die Bus- und Bahnstation.
Die Inneneinrichtung war sauber. Die Betten bequem.

Leider war Balkon, inklusive Tisch und Stühle sehr schmutzig und wurde, trotz Versprechen, nicht gereinigt.
Speziell war, dass die Zimmerkarte schon vor der check-out Zeit gesperrt wurde.

J’ai logé à l’appart’ hôtel, alors que d’habitude je suis à l’hôtel. Je pensais retrouver le confort et la qualité de service et je me suis lourdement trompé. Pourtant le prix est très élevé. Les appartements sont vétustes et d’un autre temps. La prochaine fois que je veux un appartement, c’est pas là que j’irai.

Appart hôtel très bien situé à 15 mn de Nice. Très bon accueil, restaurant de l’hôtel +++, appartement bien agencé, literie confortable que ce soit dans la chambre ou canapé lit, refait à neuf sauf la salle de bain restée dans son jus mais fonctionnelle, équipement vaisselle sommaire , plaque électrique très lentes meme si nous n’étions pas là pour préparer de la grande cuisine , piscine très appréciable aux heures creuses, seule nuisance sonore la construction d’une résidence juste derrière l’hôtel.

Reinigung in 8 Tagen nur 2 Mal, Zimmer sehr verdreckt, im Bad war alles demoliert, Waschbecken gerissen, WC defekt, 2 Tage kein warmes Wasser, keine neuen Handtücher....die gebrauchten wurden entfernt, aber keine neuen bereitgestellt, müll wurde nur 2 Mal geleert, Balkonstühle und Tisch gebrochen, am Wochenende wurde der Pool ausschließlich von Freunden oder Familie der Besitzer belegt und total verdreckt, Aussenmülleimer wurden in einer Woche kein einziges Mal gesäubert

Op de foto’s lijkt het mooier dan het is. Op de foto’s lijkt het een heel idyllisch plekje maar dat is het niet. Gelukkig hadden we voor het balkon palmbomen zodat we niet uitkeken op het grote industriegebied wat ernaast ligt. Het zwembad is ok, ligt wel naast de parkeerplaats. Appartement was niet echt schoon maar wel te doen. Fijne bedden. Afstanden naar bezienswaardigheden zijn heel goed. Ons viel het tegen helaas

Nous avions loué un studio. Très spacieux et très bien équipé. Très bonne literie. Le ménage est fait tous les jours. Nous avions également une petite terrasse avec une table et deux chaises. Un grand parking gratuit à notre disposition.
Lors de notre prochain séjour nous reviendrons sans hésiter dans cet établissement. Très bon accueil .

Super mais améliorations possibles

Le séjour a été parfait et j'y retournerai très certainement.
Cependant et sans être exhaustif ni ironique, je souhaiterais mentionner quelques points susceptibles d'amélioration :
1. Resserrer les robinetteries (dans la cuisine, ce n'est pas le mitigeur qui tourne, mais l'ensemble du dispositif, dans la salle de bain, quand on ouvre l'eau, la douche à tendance à se relever afin d'arroser le plafond et l'ensemble de la salle de bain, plutôt que le corps sur lequel elle était positionnée, enfin la poignée de la chasse d'eau est déboitée et la chasse fuit entraînant des pertes d'eau, mais aussi de sommeil des clients).
- le four micro ondes serait plus utilement placé au dessus qu'en dessous de l'évier
- il serait préférable que la porte du frigo s'ouvre vers la salle de séjour que vers le mur,
- quelques prises d'électricité supplémentaires ne seraient pas superflues, cafetière sur plan de cuisine, mais grille pain par terre,
- le ménage etant payant, nous apprécierions la fourniture d'un balai et d'une pelle (également, quelque torchons seraient les bienvenus)
- indiquer dans les chambres ou en réception la localisation du local poubelle, et qu'il soit propre.
- fournir une dose de produits lave vaisselle et un filtre à café pour le premier jour
- fournir deux serviettes de toilette, la réservation ayant été faite pour. 2 adultes,

Det var okay , dog ikke helt , da vi bodede i stuen og var rigtig meget plaget af myre , de var over alt . Vi blev ikke oplyst om vi ikke fik rengøring og skift af håndklæder , dette fandt jeg ud af da jeg læste under det med småt,med mindre vi bestilte det , dette blev vi ikke tilbudt, personale heller ej særlig skarp til engelsk. Men alt i alt fik nogle gode dage der. Poolen var fantastisk .
