Car cruisin' and the new Pinup model!

Room was very clean,. The entire hotel was very clean. When we checked into our room, we didn't realize it was so small. Thru upgraded our room with no problem. The staff was exceptional and very friendly and accommodating. The view from the porch was breathtaking. We were also able to watch the car cruise all the days from the hotel.

My only complaint is the shower was to small, lol. Everytime we turned we bumped our bodies off the walls and when i shampooed my hair, i bumped my elbows of the shower doors, lol.
All in all, I still rate Harrison Hall Hotel ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!!!
We will be back in the spring.
This was my first experience as a pinup model as well.
Thank you for your hospitality!!! We had a great time!!!

The porch and lobby are lovely. The room was okay. We were there for 4 nights and the room was only cleaned once, on Saturday. During that time, an expensive hair product disappeared from the dresser. I reported it and the staff just made a note and did not take any responsibility or try to make it right in any way.

room sucked shower door didn't close, water all over the floor, the beds only got made the 1st day, only got a towel to use without replacement till we said something, the room that was shown on line when i booked it was not even close to the room we got. would never stay there again. parking is a hole other thing a block away crossing streets it was all the worse trip ever hotel wise happy 30th to us!!!

Dirty hotel room and overall Outdated property. We found blood in the bathroom AND on the bedding. Also found hair on bathroom sink that was neither mine nor my significant other's. We stayed on the 5th floor and the hallway floor dips down under the carpeting. Needs to be reinforced. Very small room, very outdated hotel. Did some research, it was built in 1951 and it doesn't seem to be updated much throughout the decades. Our mistake for even booking this hotel.

I’m giving the property and facilities a 3 star only because they don’t allow vaping on the property or in the rooms, which is nutso to me. And the pool bar was closed for the season for my stay in the 2nd week of September, during bike week. Apparently this is run by the restaurant which is a completely different entity and one hand didn’t know what the other was doing. But, it’s a GREAT location, probably the best in the area for access to the beach, boardwalk, and the rest of OC. Staff was great!

Right on the boardwalk. Enjoyed the rocking chairs on front patio. Nice lobby area where you can sit and relax. Restaurant downstairs serving Italian. 25 minute walk to end of boardwalk where there are activities. Room was good with ocean view but overall the hotel was older.

The advertising to book the hotel is deceiving. The pic is ocean front which it wasn't. Also does not reveal which floor you'll be on through the booking process. Parking was horrible. In my opinion any quest that gives them business should be assigned at least one spot if owned by the hotel. Would I do it again probably not.

This reminded us of a heritage place in Galway-- a bit dated and small, but cozy and right on the beach. Beautiful lobby and deck area. The rooms and ceiling of deck could use some sprucing and cleaning up. Beds and bath were clean, windows and screens need a power wash.

We were extremely satisfied with our stay especially the upgrade from economy to standard room. Only wished we would have had one bed instead of two. Also was a little disappointed fruit was not available in the lobby as in years past. Also in all was a fantastic stay. Cannot wait until next year.

It’s a tired old hotel. The rooms is very small. When you’re standing in the bathroom, you can stretch your arms out and touch both walls and that’s the toilet shower and vanity. Be careful when you sit on the toilet you’ll hit your head on the vanity. The hotel was not clean. The towels and wash clothes are very thin and cheap. Pool towels are like tissue paper. The only thing that hotel has going for it is it’s at 15th St. right on the boardwalk.

There are good and bad things about the property, first the cleanliness when you enter the 1st floor, with the sand in the elevator was okay the first time but it not being cleaned each day was upsetting. The front desk associates were nice and greeted you when you are in the lobby. When were given our room the musty smell of wet carpet was very pungent when the room was closed, which lead us to open the windows for fresh air. Carpets need to be replaced based on being a hotel close to the beach and wet floors/carpets after some time does give a smell. Based on the note from housekeeping, stated the room would be cleaned daily but it wasn't only bed made up one day, and no carpet cleaning. Walls are thin so you hear whoever is outside or next to your room. Update your TV to Smart TV where it can be used for different live stream or guest can use their apps to watch movies. Pool was great but note the bar only takes Venmo or Cash which made it difficult for someone who doesn't carry cash or use Venmo.

The location of this property was perfect. The beach and boardwalk is accessible as soon as you walk out of the lobby. The lobby is very beautiful and has a great view of the beach. However, the property is in need of updating. The property is old, the rooms are tiny and the bathroom is tiny. We had a family vacation and booked multiple rooms and they were all small for two people to share. The bathroom floor would be wet from the shower, the towels were changed some days and the bed was never made (not sure if that service had to requested). The staff are friendly and the maintenance person did a wonderful job cleaning around the hotel everyday.

This has been one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at. There was no soap, the hair dryer didn’t work, the blankets had hair on them and smelled strange. Overall, the cleanliness and maintenance were terrible. I do not recommend this hotel at all.

Although the building is old, the stay was perfect! The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was also very clean. The huge front porch off of the boardwalk made up for not having a balcony. The pool area was also very clean and the tiki bar was nice. There was live music by the pool too!

We were overall happy with our family vacation at this hotel. Location is right on the boardwalk so the beach is right there, as well as restaurants and shopping. Parking is a bit tricky as they have multiple \"lots\"; one required us to cross a road. The building is old so there's charm to it. That also means only one small elevator for 5 floors - expect to wait around a lot or get your exercise in and walk up the 5 flights like we did often! I was also disappointed and didn't notice when booking that there is only a mini fridge in the room - no microwave or even a coffee maker. Those they saved for the lobby for all guests to wait in line to use. Again we enjoyed the location but will stay somewhere else next time.

The Harrison was a great beach front stay right on the boardwalk and beach. The only reason I didn’t go 5 stars were the rooms were noticeably smaller than you’d surmise from the web site and the bathrooms small. But it was comfortable and the AC worked great.

It was our 38th wedding anniversary and the people there were very kind and nice. Couldn't ask for better service. It's not a 5-star hotel and we didn't expect it to be. It was right on the beach, which we wanted. The room was small but comfortable. The shower worked great. The rooms were cleaned every day and they did a great job of cleaning the rooms. We would say there again.

Depending on the room you get the shower is extremely small and hard to fit a normal size person into. There is only one elevator so the wait time can be long if you do not want to use the stairs. Sometimes there was an odd smell in the building, but not in our room specifically. The location is in a nice spot on the boardwalk. Parking can be difficult at times.

***TRUE REVIEW***This hotel is extremely old with outdated furniture, and our room was dirty. There was dust and gum on the floor. The carpet was dirty and the wallpaper was ripping off. The bathroom in our room was outdated and with mold. The toilet lid was dirty. The bathrooms downstairs were dirty and stinky. The only good thing about this hotel is the location, the lobby and their porch! Staff were friendly. Thank God I only stayed one night.

Boutique style, updated old hotel, so a little cozy, narrow spaces. Location perfect, porch delightful, lobby charming. Good coffee. Pool is a nice bonus, unfortunate that some rude guests think it is not for sharing, commandeer most chairs and tables and assume everone will appreciate their music selection on Bluetooth speaker. Not hotel's fault.
Restaurant below delicious. Beach clean and accessible.

The location is the only positive. It’s right on the boardwalk and steps to the beach with no street to cross. But the positives stop there. The room was horribly dirty - dust everywhere, dingy floor and ceiling, dirty and old carpet, and we opened the drawers to find dust and dirt. The shower is very small. Our window was directly on a rooftop and the window was broken and was not locked when we walked in. Our body wash in the shower was empty upon arrival which shows the horrible attention to detail. The staff at check in did not make us feel welcome and the one time we had to ask for towels, it took 3 trips to the front desk before they were delivered. They offer daily room service but we declined this service due to the poor attention to detail we noticed at first sight. The only reason we stayed for our few nights was because it was non refundable.

This was our first time staying. We booked last minute, so our usual spot was not available.

If your use to being close to the rides and attractions, i do not recommend. Although they are on the boardwalk, its a bit of a walking distance (we all got blisters).

Our rooms were dirty (hair in the shower, a random lemonade cup found in the fridge, totally dusty). Bathrooms are super small (honestly looks more like an efficiency apartment then a hotel room). Theres an overall smell when you walk in (like mold). We actually brought air freshener for the week. Elevator situation was inconvenient because its so small. There was a line at one point with guest trying to transport their belongings to and from. Really only fits one person/cart at a time. Pool is across the street from the hotel (nice and big pool). Loved the 2 for 1 drink deals, but we did find a floating dental floss (and considering how clean the rooms were, we questioned the cleanliness of the pool). Lastly, some of the other guests were pretty questionable in character (getting high by the pool and parking lot).... overall, we will never stay there again. And, I learned a great lesson. Never plan last minute and stick with the place you know and love.

Spend a little more $ and dont go there. It's not worth it.
