The room was very spacious and clean. I was impressed by the air conditioning unit and its ability to keep our room nice and cold during a hot week. Staff was willing to help even though i had little interaction with the main desk, the housekeeper was very sweet and got things done fast. Parking was easy and overall id definitely stay here again.

We paid extra for an oceanfront room and the wifi was out. The person at the desk assured me that they were working on it. This is day one of 5. Every morning for the next 4 days I would have the same conversation with the same person they are \"working on it.\" Why not just come out and say there is no Wi-Fi in this building and let people know that prior to booking. That's a pretty big deal you only find out about once you arrive.
Fun check out and had a full discussion about the situation and the person said that they've had several IP people in looking at it but nobody can figure out what's wrong. As if that is an explanation for an oceanfront hotel as the summer season begins?!?!
On a lesser note but still pretty serious, the refrigerator in our room did not function upon entering. The season is just starting???? I did complain and they were fairly prompt in having it removed and replaced with one that didn't function. I guess the point is if your opening for the season why not check these things ahead of time so that your guests are not left inconvenienced and forced to wait in the room for a repair person to come up and fix a refrigerator. Then again, considering the lack of urgency to fix the wi-fi I guess one should take it all in stride. Or not.

Very nasty rooms. Itchy bed. I pulled back the blanket to lay down and there was sand in the sheets. Blood on the window and toilet and flies all around. Room was not as pictured. Room is just in terrible condition. I will not stay there ever again

It is a older property but has been partially upgraded. Bathroom to small. Aircondition/heater was in the wrong place. It did not work very well and very noisy. Advertised as two queen beds but the beds were only full size and extremely hard to sleep on.

The front door would not lock, the plate was not aligned correctly. We put all of our luggage in front and slept with one eye open. It is right on the boardwalk and the location was great. Hot, good coffee in the office in the morning and the AC was cold! I would recommend if you are running most of the day and just need a place to crash.

It’s exactly what you pay for. It’s not a fancy resort, it’s a motel on the beach. The location is perfect , parking is easy and plentiful, and staff are friendly. The room we had was an efficiency and was great except for the bathroom. The bathroom was legit the size of a small coat closet. The pool was great, super clean!

The only upside of this motel was the location. The motel was pretty outdated, not clean as I expected, and there is no discount on breakfast especially due to staying at the motel and there being a breakfast spot apart of the motel with the same name. If you are looking for a one night stay close to the beach, with free parking for just one night than fine. But I definitely would not been able to stay any longer. The motel needs some updating, the walls did to be wiped down, and they need new carpet. When entering the room there was a smoke/ old weird smell I can’t even explain.

The room was clean but had a terrible smell; I believe it was from new curtains, maybe new carpet. We opened windows to air it out. Our neighbors had small kids that yelled alot but quieted down when needed. We like this motel alot. Love the location and prices. Housekeeping staff needs training on what the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door means.

All the staff I encountered were warm and courteous. The property is tired and threadbare, and the carpeting is dirty. When I worked out barefoot in the room, my feet got really dirty. Teeny towels. They did refresh the room each day, which is a rarity these days. It was also one of the cheapest rooms in town for the weekend, so you get what you pay for.

If you are looking for a place to crash with no frills at an affordable price, this will do the trick. We are a room 228 oceanfront. Room had a few minor issues. Slow draining tub when taking a shower. Almost reminded my fiance and I of a duck pond. Door to the balcony was not properly sealed. We could hear and feel the cold air coming through, but wasn't terrible. The knob to the door was also not working properly. If you were not careful, you could lock yourself out on the balcony. Fridge and microwave worked fine. Nice to have for the price of the room. Front desk staff was at awesome at check-in, because he upgraded us to an oceanfront room. Friendly guy as well!

Could not connect to internet. Staff could've been a little friendlier/welcoming. Door to our little deck rattled constantly in the wind. Bathroom was TEENY. Toilet had to be flushed 2x to work. All in all, just a little bit run down. It was okay for an inexpensive stay; but if you're looking for 'nice', this really isn't it.

This was not at all what I booked. The photos on the Expedia website were not accurate. When I get there, the front desk says the room I booked is in a building that is not yet open for the season and they put me in a motel room by the office. They said it was there first day open. I'm guessing no one cleaned or checked the room before renting it to me. There was a dead cockroach on the floor, a silverfish crawling on the wall, the comforter was stained, and there was a big gap in the front door so the room was freezing. Truly a terrible experience. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

They were close to the beach and boardwalk. Now our specific hotel was not on the beachfront side, etc. but it is also close to the Starbucks in OCMD. I loved the proximity. Clean room. Shower & Tub combo. Elevator to get stuff up and down to room. Clean bedding. The one downside was they don’t have any luggage carts so make that be something in mind when you’re packing the items up to go to the hotel. Have something to lug to and from hotel room. Hope this helps.

Our stay was october so was a little chilly. The carpet was kind of yukky and the doorway was in ill-repair. Overall was a great stay. Did not realize was no elevator-likely my fault that i did not see that information. I would stay there again but my travel companion would not be able to due to the steps.

First, let me say this in my opinion the Sahara needs an upgrade. The room reminded me something out of the 80s with the burgundy and green. Every staff member I ran into asked if I needed anything. I would rate them as extremely friendly. Everything was clean except the walls could’ve used a wipe down. There’s no elevator but only three floors. The balcony is great on the smaller side no party ability. There’s an actual door to exit to the balcony. The bathroom was the cleanest bathroom I’ve seen. At night I could hear people talking not exactly what they were saying but aware that they were people next-door. All in all it was everything I needed for my first vacation alone. I will stay here again.

Gentleman at the front desk was great on check in. Unfortunately the room had an ant problem that we discovered around 11:00PM. We were moved to another room and our keys were updated - but the keys expired a day early and we were locked out of our room late at night. Facilities were pretty dated and worn down. While the location of this property is fair, visitors may want to look at other hotels that have invested more in maintenance.

Does not have coffee machines in each room.. instead has coffee machine and lobby \"available 24/7\". Was not available when I stayed September 29th-October 2nd. Sign on lobby door says \"opens 7:00 a.m.\" .
On the morning of September 30th did not open till 7:35. Two trips down for coffee--nobody there. Then again on October 2nd nobody there at 7:19 a.m.. extremely poor customer service from front desk staff.

this is a beachfront property. But it also has rooms that are not on beachfront. I was in a room that was not on a beachfront, but I could tell that that we were in my room came in from the beach because before was wet and sand was trapped to the front door to the shower. It’s not cleaned up well it was not comfortable. But for a brief overnight stay it works. It’s absolutely not anything of comfort or decency. It is a matter of convenience. And price.

I had no expectations about this motel as I know I booked on the lower end but this was worse that I had imagined. The minute we opened the room door we were overwhelmed by the smell of mildew/mold. When I mentioned it to the front desk their solution was to send the cleaning staff up with a can of air freshener. That is not a solution just a cover up. The bedspreads we stained, the carpets dirty. The wifi does not work on the 3rd floor and the beds in our room desperately need to be replaced.

It’s an old motel, an OC original, and incredibly overpriced for what you get. Clearly it was inflated for the weekends event and I get it - but still I’d say $175 max for an event and maybe $120 any other time. Wasn’t bad and I knew it wouldn’t be impressive but knowing it was this basic I would’ve opted for a better place at another $75 a night.

Our room was never cleaned in the 3 night stay. We asked for new towels because ours didn’t dry after using the first day and despite walking over to the office to ask and asking two different employees, none were provided during the rest of the stay. Stated that they had none clean. When calling the office, no one picked up or returned our message. No one came to clean the room or take out the trash during stay. After being at a music festival in the sand and the rain, not having towels to dry off and clean yourself off was hard.

The location was awesome. Parking was convenient, but tight with a truck. Rooms were clean but in need of an upgrade. No blanket available andbit hot really chilly one night. We dudnt know we would have to vlimb to the 3rd floor...i am disabled andbut was a struggle, especially with luggage. Overall, we'd consider possibly staying there again.

The kitchenette was lacking to say the least.

Make sure you bring your cooking essentials (plates, silverware, glasses,pots and pans measuring devices, cutting board,can opener)

The room we stayed in was clean but it had an odor of mildew or something in it was almost over powering. When door was open it helped. Drain in bathtub was rusted horrible so water wouldn't stay in tub. Was very hard to communicate with staff no one hardly spoke English. The ice machine was horrible the drain rack in it was so rusted. Honestly didn't look safe to get anything out of it. Really need a new one. The location was great loved that the beach was right there.

This place was nothing like we expected. Dirty & old. I was with my 2 kids and they weren’t even happy. We have stayed right by the beach before and -trust me- you can find much better than this dingy dirty motel - to stay at. There was hair in the bathroom that obviously wasn’t cleaned. The bedsheets are like 100 years old and we picked a non smoking room- and the smell as soon as you entered the room - DID NOT smell clean. Moldy. And the so called “manager” Rob that I tried getting a hold of for DAYS calling at first and then actually going to the front desk never ever was available. Even after I decided to leave the motel.
We ended up arriving and staying the night and checked out at 11:00. Expedia called because I wanted a refund for the other nights that I DID not stay and of course “Rob” didn’t approve it . He only approved one night. —- so Expedia did not want to refund me my money for the rest of the nights I had paid for because they needed the approval from him.
