I’m sure this used to be a beautiful hotel when it first opened but it definitely should’ve been taken better care of. The elevator sounds like it’s gonna die any minute. Breakfast could’ve been better for sure without the flys would have been nice. Kids loved the pool area. It wasn’t perfect but the ocean view was for sure. Would I stay here again yea but wouldn’t be my first choice.

The car stays parked the whole time we're there as we walk up two blocks to Happy Jack's and just across the street to Coins for dinner. ALL staff seem to be always smiling and any requests/greetings are met with almost immediate response to our needs. The surrounding area entire parking was always clean. Breakfast buffet had excellent coffee (which isn't always the case for our other locations we've tried). Quality Inn Beachfront is now our favorite place at OC, Maryland. We were welcomed with open arms and left with great memories. Our only suggestion would be to have more fresh fruit which didn't include just oranges and apples - bananas would be welcomed. Finally, it was quiet and conveyed well to all nationalities and personalities.

The room I reserved was suppose to be oceanfront. When I arrived it was not, in fact it was in a run down building behind the oceanfront building. They told me that is the room reserved by Expedia. There were no decent rooms available. This room actually had toothpaste on the faucet and the wall from prior occupants. We stayed one night and was able to find better conditions with oceanfront view for the rest of our trip. I will never trust Expedia again.

Stayed 8 nights as a couple, no kids, in the ocean-facing building. This is an older beachfront hotel, not luxury, but not disgusting. Expect rust, chipped paint, older carpet, and general wear. Our room had no odor, and the sink/under-sink cupboards were clean.
Main issues: the sliding glass door did not properly lock and was blocked with a piece of wood. We also had electrical issues: the alarm clock randomly lost power, and phone charging was unreliable unless cords were positioned just right.
Important: the ocean-facing building is not accessible. You must walk up about 5 steps to enter, with no ramp, which also makes luggage difficult. The elevator was slow and last inspected October 2025; our stay was June 2026.
Outdoor pool was clean but cold/unheated. Deck and chairs were clean, and staff hosed the deck daily. Bring your own pool towels. Housekeeping/supplies are by request only.
Quality Inn allows service animals only. Dog noise seems to come from The Towers next door, which shares the dunes crossing.

I stayed here mainly for the ocean view. That was amazing. Shower had good water pressure and hot water. Indoor and outdoor pool was great because it was windy and cool this week. Patios are not private from neighbors and I couldn’t about leave my patio door open at night. Breakfast was disappointing— while I got my waffle fix, there wasn’t much else besides prepackaged muffins, juice and cereal. The comforters had stains. Staff was friendly and replaced. The mini kitchen was useful with a good fridge, plates ands silverware.

The bathroom sink barely had any water come out and it did not get hot. Our sheets had a burn in them from what appeared to be a cigarette. The place reeked of marijuana and cigarette smoke. In addition it was not easily accessible. You have to go up a flight of stairs to get to the elevator. This makes it difficult to load up the luggage cart as you have to carry everything up a flight of stairs to put it on the cart. Beach access also requires you to go down stairs. This was all difficult with having a baby stroller. It would be nearly impossible if handicapped.

Whole place needs a serious update. Microwave showed purchase date of April 2010, lots of large rust spots inside and rotator wasn't working. Got an Oceanfront room but there was no sliding screen to allow the breeze to blow through. Didn't open the door due to lots of gulls flying out front of the building and didn't want them in the room. There were other issues concerning housekeeping.

The place was kind of dumpy. For the price though, I guess it wasn’t that bad. Our balcony door did not lock. There was just a piece of wood to put in the sliding channel to prevent it from opening but again, the lock mechanism was completely broken so it could technically be opened like 4 inches so it was an unsettling feeling. Temperature control leaves a lot to be desired also. There isn’t a normal thermostat or even the old school +/- degrees on the register- it was either rainforest hot or polar bear cold from turning it on or off.

The inside pool was a bonus due to inclement weather, the room for the most part was clean, the bathroom needs some attention, soap dispenser fell off the wall prior to our arrival and was sitting on bathroom sink, the toilet was loose and not firmly attached to the floor, the bathroom needs a place to hang wet bathing suits and towels after returning from the pool or beach, the outside spicket was not turned on to wash feet off(although it was early in the season) all in all i would recommend and will stay again if we return to ocean city

The staff mentioned that there was a leak in the room above us. They didn’t offer us another room the ceiling continued to leak and the room smelled. The electrical fixture in the ceiling was wet and left hanging. I requested a refund and have heard anything from the manager yet. Poor service.

We originally had a room on the 3rd floor. It was nice and clean with a great view of the ocean. After we got all of our stuff in the room and put it away we went to dinner. When we came back to the room we saw a mouse running around the room! EEK! So we went to the office and told the 2 really nice black men about the mouse, and they gave us another room on the 5th floor. And we never saw any critters or bugs in that room. In the morning when we went to breakfast there was a heavy set woman on her cell phone. She didn’t even look up or greet us, and she did the same thing when we finished breakfast and left too! We thought she was very rude! I’m not sure why she would take a job where you have to greet and help people with their reservations, and then just ignore them! She was very unprofessional to say the least!

A lesson in why not to procrastinate. Needed a room for two nights at the beach for a concert. Waited too late to have a better selection. Paid a lot of money!!!! For a balcony that faced the ocean. The hotel is rundown and dirty. I wished I’d brought a sleeping bag. Stripped off a lot of the bedding due to mystery stains. Visible dirt on the floor, downstairs hair and head hair on the floor in the bedroom, a barely cool mini fridge that had blue stuff spilled in it, broken switches in the bathroom, a wall heater with rust and exposed wiring and an air conditioning vent that could be used for bio warfare because it hadn’t been cleaned since the Carter administration.

RUN FAR AWAY!!!! DISGUSTING!!! We decided to try a new hotel this year, and it was a HUGE mistake. Checked into an ocean front room on 9/21. When walking to the room, we observed the indoor pool that looked like an absolute swamp. Stagnant water with a film of mold and mildew across it. The elevator had trash in it and greasy finger prints everywhere. The hallways have a distinct musty smell. Walked in the room and I was instantly disgusted. There was food throughout the room! Tomatoes on the floor and onions on the floor and nightstand— right beside a hand written intro note from the housekeeper! The bedding was DIRTY- stained, wrinkled, and appeared to have been slept in. I pulled down the comforter and there was black hair throughout the white (ish….) sheets. Stains on the carpet. The fridge was smelly and had food spilled in it. The freezer was completely frosted over and covered in spilled food. The bathroom was dirty and had not been swept or mopped. The microwave had food splattered. I immediately called the front desk and they sent up 2 housekeepers who didn’t at all seem concerned. When the dirty bedding was pointed out to them, they said “yea, they should’ve changed the sheets.” They were then asked if they change the sheets between guests and they did not respond! They offered us a different room, but due to the absolute filth we walked into, and the housekeepers seeming unbothered, I immediately started calling different hotels and demanded a refund.

This hotel should be renamed the Alfred Hitchcock Inn. People were constantly feeding seagulls off of their balcony. You could not use the outdoor pool because it was a bird pool It was covered in seagull, poop, bird feathers, an old, dirty tennis ball… The pool was absolutely disgusting.
