Room was not as advertised. Description stated that the room had king, queen and sleep sofa. Upon arrival, the sleep sofa was missing. I was told updates to the hotel rooms eliminated the sleep sofa's. Interestingly enough the rooms don’t seem that updated. I was told “sorry” by the staff and we used an inflatable mattress to accommodate one person in our party. Seems pretty critical to update rooms and bed counts online. That way people don’t drive hours only to find out they don’t have a bed.

Location is great and the hotel does offer convenient amenities. But that doesn’t excuse not having the beds you claim.

The outdoor pool was fine, but no way to regulate that only their guests can use it, so was often over crowded. The indoor pool smelled so strongly of chlorine it was unusable. The food at the restaurants on sight was terrible. You had to pay $10 per day to park on sight. There was a crane in the parking lot which caused multiple cars to get stuck in the parking lot. While housekeeping came into my room daily, they didn't replace washcloths or shampoo, so we quickly ran out. They also didn't clean the floors. The rooms were fine, but tile was broken, the sink was cracked; it just looked run down.

The beach view was beautiful, enjoyed those views every morning with my cup of coffee. Only item that would preclude me from coming back was that there's no ocean view rooms with a king/queen size bed, as we were told by the staff. my wife and I had to sleep on 2 full size beds.

My stay at the Grand Hotel Ocean City Oceanfront was a mix of pros and cons. On the positive side, the room was spacious and very clean, which I truly appreciated. However, the check-in experience was disappointing; the staff member who assisted me was unwelcoming and acted quite rudely, making me feel as though they were talking down to me. While the accommodations were great, the customer service left much to be desired.

We enjoyed our stay at the Grand Hotel Ocean City Maryland. It is in the center of the boardwalk that has restaurants, pools (indoor & outdoor). The food was very good and the shops were very reasonable. The hotel was very clean and the ocean views was excellent.

The Grand Hotel in Ocean City exceeded all expectations. Our spacious room was spotless, beautifully furnished, and featured stunning ocean views. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a perfect night's sleep.

The location is unbeatable—just steps from the beach with direct access to the boardwalk, restaurants, and nightlife. Private beach access made our days relaxing and crowd-free.

However, the staff truly set this hotel apart. Every team member went above and beyond, offering thoughtful local tips and prompt service that made us feel genuinely welcomed. With delicious onsite dining and the city's best culinary gems right outside, we couldn't have asked for more.

For a blend of comfort, convenience, and genuine hospitality, the Grand Hotel is a must-book. We are already planning our return!

Room keys failed to work everyday. We had to keep running to the front desk for new keys (5) and had a maintenance man let us in one time. Bathroom was extremely small and had a urine odor. Management refused any type of compensation.

Everything about our stay was great. The staff were kind and helpful. Everything was well kept and clean. They were doing some renovations while we were there. But they went out of their way to make sure things ran smoothly. We didn’t eat anything at the on site restaurants. But they all looked clean and well kept. We would definitely stay there again and recommend to others.

We stayed four nights with our kids (6, 4, & 2) in the early summer season and had a very good experience. The hotel had a lot of different things to do like the game room and indoor pool. Since it was early season the outdoor pool was too cold to swim in but the pool area was nice. The hotel is right on the beach and it was very convenient. There were several places to eat inside the hotel and other places on the boardwalk were walkable.

The Grand has been mine and my family's go to hotel in Ocean City, MD. for many years. One big item was the staff, always courteous, always professional, always friendly.
Not anymore. Several things were wrong in our room. Our stay was only two nights. Before leaving I stopped at the front desk and asked to speak with a manager. Manager was not available. Eventually I was able to speak with a manager. A young woman (mid-thirties) of African American race. When I told her the problems that we had she said that we should have reported them immediately and then the hotel would have considered either repairing or moving us to another room. When I explained that one of the problems (with the microwave) occurred at 5:00 am, her answer was that the people who do maintenance for the hotel were available 24 hours. I told her that another problem was that the phone in our room did not work. This did not change her attitude, she was adamant that what we should have done was report the problems.
My name is Ines G. Perez, I stayed at The Grand in Ocean City, MD Sunday May 31st to Tuesday June 2nd. Unfortunately my last stay. Something has definitely changed.

I loved this property! The amenities were great! Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Housekeeping came daily. Staff was receptive of guests needs. There are many shops restaurants and a Cafe attached to the hotel. The indoor and outdoor pool are awesome! Boardwalk access with direct beach view from the room offered just the relaxing vibe we needed. The restaurant inside the hotel was very nice.The hotel cafe has stale food. The pizza shop attached to the hotel, at the boardwalk has poor customer service. The rude staff gave me the wrong order and admitted it was their fault but management insisted I pay an extra $9 for them to fix the order. I definitely won't be eating there next time. There are other welcoming places to eat int he area. Otherwise, this is a great hotel!!

It’s ridiculous that they are charging for parking per day per vehicle now. You pay to rent a room with parking and now there is a fee to park on the property and parking garage. I could see them charging you extra if you are asking for extra parking permits or have more than 1 or 2 vehicles per room. Also, why a per day fee and not a one time fee??

Walls are very thin. There was a crying baby in the room next to us and it was like they were right outside our door.

I just finished my stay here, and unfortunately I left feeling very disappointed. When I booked my stay for Memorial Day week back in December, one of the main reasons I chose this hotel was because the outdoor pool was advertised as being open during my stay. However, upon arrival, the first thing I wanted to do was relax by the pool, only to find out it was closed due to “the weather.”

What made this even more frustrating was that the weather during my stay was beautiful and sunny, yet the pool remained closed the entire time. I spoke with the hotel manager to express my concerns and ask if any compensation could be offered for the inconvenience, but I was told there was nothing they could do because I booked through Expedia.

This response did not resolve the issue and left me feeling unvalued as a guest. I booked this stay with certain expectations based on what was advertised, and those expectations were not met. Unfortunately, because of this experience, I would not recommend this hotel, as it does not seem they take guest concerns or misleading advertising seriously.

I loved that we could have never left the hotel and had everything we needed, shops, pool, restaurants, and the beach was just steps away. I only had two issues, one, the beds were not that comfortable, and two, we paid for deck view and basically we were just looking out at a slab of concrete. This may have been a misunderstanding on my part as to what deck view meant, and we could still see the ocean, but \"deck view\" was nothing to write home about. Other than that, our stay was great.

We enjoyed the view from our oceanfront balcony room, and the room itself was very spacious. However, the bed was extremely uncomfortable and we woke up sore and stiff every morning. We also wish the indoor pool had been heated, as it was very cold and basically unusable during our stay. Additionally, it would have been helpful to know there was a convention taking place at the hotel, as we likely would have chosen a different time to visit.

Terrible stay — avoid this hotel. The indoor pool had an overwhelming chemical smell. Both kids and adults couldn’t stop coughing, and our kids developed itchy skin after only 20 minutes in the water. We reported it immediately to the front desk, but the staff member did absolutely nothing — no action, no water test, not even an apology. He just said the manager wasn’t there. Completely unacceptable response to a serious health concern. Poorly trained staff and unsafe pool conditions. Never staying here again.

first and last time i'll ever stay at this hotel. my friend and i checked in at 4pm, dropped our bags inside the room and went out at 4:30pm.

we got back to the hotel around 1am and found the deadbolt latch lock had somehow locked itself from the inside with no one in it, so we couldn't get into our room.

we went to the lobby to find the hotel only had one employee working the night shift, with no maintenance workers available.

the employee tried his best to makeshift his way into our room using shoe laces, clothing hangers, rubber bands, etc. but nothing worked.

we were then told we would have to wait until their maintenance worker showed up to use deadbolt cutters to break in for us, which wouldn't be until 7am.

at that point it was already 4:30am and we just wanted to get our stuff out of the room and leave, since we were planning on checking out that same day by 8am anyway.

so we had to wait from 1:30am to 7:15am until the worker showed up and let us into our room, and then we immediately grabbed our bags and left.

we were still charged full price for the room and parking, even though we never even got to actually stay inside or even get into the room the entire time we were there.

we had literally just camped outside the hall way of our room and the hotel lobby waiting for the guy to show up.

and also the morning manager that showed up as we checked out, learned of the situation, and his only response was \"sorry that happened\" as he handed us our receipt lol

We got there very early on check in day (10 AM) thankfully, our room was ready which was really helpful! The property is clean, but it is a bit run down. It needs some updates for sure. It was nice to have a few onsite restaurants, coffee shops and arcade/indoor pool! Especially since when we went, the weather was horrible. This kept my kids happy and entertained. Overall, I’d stay again!

The property was mostly clean, but we were unable to use the indoor pool because the chlorine smell was overwhelming before we even entered the pool area, which indicated a problem.

Cleaning staff was a little careless. The morning after we arrived, we returned to the room to find a scrub brush laying in the sink and a small bottle of dishwashing liquid next to the sink. They only provided disposable cups in the room, so I can’t imagine why there was dishwashing fluid out unless they were cleaning with it, which is not at all appropriate.

The bad-We stayed in a room with a jetted tub, tub was so loud you couldn’t hear anything other then the jets. The room had two lights, one in the bathroom and a small lamp. If the curtains to the balcony are closed you can not see in the room. The air condition in our room didn’t work, luckily it was not needed this weekend.
The good- Hotel walks right out to the boardwalk with beach access. Lots of options for food choices.

Loved the location and proximity to the boardwalk and beach. Wish we had been told about the free wine tasting as we checked in, so we totally missed out on that. Other than that, things were great. We didn't get a chance to try the restaurant, but that'll be for the next trip! Will definitely stay here again. Oh and the coffee shop was great.
