My sister and I loved our stay at the Burgundy Inn. Bill was delightful checking us in and seeing him throughout our stay made us feel like beyond welcome.
Our room was perfect.. clean, air conditioned and quaint. Spending our weekend at the Country Calling Festival we did not use the beautiful pool. Every morning had the pleasure of having coffee poolside and chatting with George our barista and aficionado on any subject. We had a perfect weekend!

The staff were super friendly, we have stayed here before and like the location. It's convenient for being close to the boardwalk. The rooms are small and kind of old but is ok since we don't spend much time in the room.Our room looked pretty clean and the bed sheets and towels were fine and refreshed daily but the shower area was a little old and falling apart around the bottom trim. That made it look dirty. We couldn't figure out how to work the TV to turn the volume down as there was only a Roku remote and it didn't have a volume button on it. The pool was still open which was a plus and the free coffee and donuts were an unexpected treat.

The Burgundy is a quaint hotel in a very good area. It is walking distance to the beach and to the boardwalk.
The staff were very accessible and the pool and its' bar was a nice surprise.

Was so so frustrated with this property over this weekend with country calling. I had originally booked a 2 king bed room which would have been perfect for 3 people. Once being in the room for 2 minutes we realize that the floor is covered in dirt (did not even look like they cleaned the room before we went in). We ignored that, went to the concert, came back, and the bed sheets had stains on them and there were roaches..literal roaches crawling up the headboard and throughout the pillows. At this point it’s 12-1 am and we contact the office and can’t get through to anyone. After a long day at a concert all we wanted to do was sleep so we ended up sleeping in A CAR. The next morning we went to the office as soon as they opened and they offered us a room across Philadelphia Avenue (the main road in ocean city). Told us the room would be ready in an hour and to go get some breakfast blah blah blah. 3 hours later they hadn’t called so we walked to what was going to be our new room and unlocked the door and found that it had been cleaned for a while (so we sat around for hours for no reason because they said they would call us when it was ready). Never offered to reimburse us for the first night where we didn’t even use the room..nothing. Would not recommend staying at this place at all.

The only good thing i can really say about this hotel is that it is in a good location. Considering it is a block away from the beach, you would think there would be somewhere to hang Towels, bathing suits, etc. There was not one hook in the entire room. There was one towel rack in the bathroom and that was literally the only place to hang anything. There is no closet or rack, no hangers or pole, nothing. There is no chance of anything ever drying in this room. The room was also very small with the bed jammed into an alcove, no nightstands. The bathroom is very small with a small shower that if you want to turn it on before you get in, the shower head points directly at the shower door. They also charge extra for parking. We were there for a concert and had to pay extra for early check-in, although we were also informed that would not be anyone to check us in after the concert because the front desk staff leaves at 11pm. There was no attempt for anyone to clean our room either. Pretty disappointing all around.

The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful. No one told us that our room was across the street, so that would have been helpful. A staff member walked into our room after we checked in, not realizing that we were there, which was uncomfortable. The AC was loud as well and we turned it off in the middle of the night. The room was clean though and had what we needed for our stay for one night. It was walkable to the boardwalk and that was our main goal!

I do not think I have ever had better service in my life. The staff, especially Bill are outstanding and made us feel so welcome and taken care of. We had a great experience and will be back. Very walkable to the music festival which is why we were there. It’s an older motel but charming in so many ways.

The staff was extremely kind from the time of arrival to the time of check out. The rooms were a bit older so conditions based upon that for normal wear and tear to be expected. However, from the time we arrived and checked in (around 11pm) the floors of the rooms were FILTHY. You could not walk around without shoes on unless you wanted completely black feet. It did not appear they even attempted to sweep or mop after the previous guests. The window AC unit would only cut on regularly when set to 65 degrees or under. There is no type of ventilation in the bathroom for moisture so there is a very strong mildew smell in the rooms. We went to the pool around 5:30 pm and the water was full of hair and there was an oil film on the top. This was on top of the water being FREEZING. Our friends booked a room for the same time frame we did and had to move rooms due to numerous cockroaches being found in their room and in their bedding. Upon contact with staffing and chatting with other guests we discovered they were not the only guests who were dealing with this issue. Would not book this location again.

Let me start with the staff was very welcoming and kind. My husband and I just needed a place to stay for one night. The morning before we left to go home, we wanted to shower, but there was black mold all over the ceiling of the shower. The moisture was so bad the walls were warped. We went to check out that morning and to ask for a refund around 7:20 and not a soul was in the office even though the hours on the office door says they were suppose to be open already. We had to get on the road so we just used the drop slit on the door to return our keys and left. I forgot to get a picture but under the kind sink had a small patch of black mold as well. Everything else was perfectly fine; the pool, the rest of the room, and everything else was okay. But I’m not too comfortable with there being black mold especially with me having asthma. Would probably not stay here again unfortunately.

I found this room last minute, after 8pm when we just needed a place to crash. It was reasonably priced at this point.
They charge you $10 for parking in their lot, which I was unaware of. Also no ice machine. You can buy overpriced bagged ice from them if need be.
Typical outdoor entrance room. Room was clean. Bed was clean and comfortable. Not a lot of space in the room, but I was just with my daughter.
The tv is a Roku tv but you have to sign into your own accounts. The bathroom was large. There was some mold in the caulking of the shower, and handprints on the trim of the door. Don’t know if that bothers you. But no bugs in the room!
You had two chairs and a small table outside your door if you wanted to sit.
Pool was clean. But we didn’t swim.
My favorite part: free fresh donuts, coffee/ tea from the outside deck bar the morning. The man who served us was very friendly! Would definitely stay again.

Tiny old ugly room. Needs repairs inside and outside the room. No coffee , no hairdryer, no iron, small mirror in the bathroom only. Everything looks old starting with the AC from 80s. The electricity not working. TV issues, lights went out. Charging $20.00 extra for ocean city charges?? Service excellent- in the back of the building free coffee and a dough nut. Quick maintenance help with electricity and other concerns. The best thing about this motel is the bed mattress very comfortable. I slept like a baby.

The hotel and staff were very nice. It was clean and updated. My only complaint is after booking on expedia they were charging more taxes when we arrived they need to straighten this out. Celine was great and helped us because of that i would definitely stay again. Pool was small but nice needs more lounge chairs. Good snacks. No closet in room.

The check-in process took approximately an hour. Upon reaching our rooms, we discovered that the air conditioning was not functioning correctly, and it was quite warm outside. Furthermore, the towels appeared to be less than clean, and the overall sanitation of the room was questionable. The stove provided also had some issues. The only positive aspect of this hotel was its location. Pics are a bit deceiving. Friendly house keepers and staff.

Not ADA compliant at all, which hotels.com messed up by including the icon. No internet but 3 different reasons why not and no offer of a refund, and the parking lot was Tiny. The room was nice and the pool was clean, staff was friendly, but between hotels.com mis-listing things and the lack of internet leading to Nightly Temper Tantrums because the TV is useless without internet I can't give it a higher rating.

Enjoyed our Stay!

I stayed at the Burgundy Inn for 2 nights with two other friends, and overall, we enjoyed our stay. There is room for improvement, but we were satisfied especially with the low price during the height of Summer. It’s location is great too — just a few minutes walk to the beach. The rooms could use some touch-ups, especially the bathroom, but it was clean, no bugs, and AC worked very well. There’s no shampoo/conditioner, body soap, or tissues provided but I didn’t expect any frills since it is a motel. The TV unfortunately was very difficult to work and kept cutting out but wasn’t a huge deal for us. We were a little disappointed that the Tiki Bar didn’t serve alcohol but they had a handful of snack and ice cream options and the woman who worked there was very nice. The pool area is quite small but it’s cute and cozy and still has many tables and chairs. The main woman at the front desk (I can’t believe I didn’t get her name) was very kind and accommodating. She offered us extra towels and linens when we checked in and didn’t hesitate to swap out our minifridge later that day because it wasn’t getting cold.

Overall, this is definitely a no-frills place but they had great service and kind staff, clean rooms, and it’s a great option if you’re just looking for a cheap place to sleep and shower.

This was one of the worst places I have ever stayed. I arrived at 3:00 PM for check-in, but my room was not ready. I took my family out for a meal and returned at 3:45, only to find that my room was still not prepared. I was finally checked in at 4:00 PM.

The carpets in both rooms need to be replaced, as they are sticky and unpleasant to walk on. Additionally, there were no curtains to block the sunlight, and the bathtub's water valve is extremely old; it's difficult to tell which side is hot or cold, and it feels very loose.

Furthermore, the swimming pool is located across the road from the office. To get to the pool, you have to walk all the way to the traffic light and cross the street.

Overall, the entire complex is in dire need of renovation.

Our stay at the burgundy inn was wonderful. The staff was amazing. I was greeted by Regina at the front desk who was so friendly and sweet, we shared some laughs as I checked inn and she reassured me if there was anything that we needed during our our stay to come back down and the office was open until 11 or midnight. That evening I went down for an extra blanket and I was greeted by Bill R, who was the sweetest and went above and beyond to accommodate me and seemed happy as could be to do so. The staff was amazing, the room was cleanly and there was free donuts at the pool in the morning. We will definitely be coming back to stay at the burgundy inn. Also right next to the inn was an amazing restaurant that stays open till 4am and they have really great food.

The ac work properly beds very comfortable but the room I tjough it was 350sqf. It was possibly 200. Too small for \"the efficiency size on the booking plattform\".
What I can say it had good updated tall long with a mirrow simple hutch with drawers to easy organize your own belongings to eat. The efficiency is too small it is really a room with a portable two burner. Other than that is ok. Really easy access to the boardwalk and the beach for a walk early morning or relax in the pm

The room was updated and perfect for the few nights we stayed. This is one of the only motels that has been updated, but still has the OC motel feel. Staff were extremely nice. Choosing to stay downtown OC it is loud outside and if you have people above you you will hear them walking around. Pool was a place to cool off. Very close to boardwalk.

This has been our second year staying here for the Oceans Calling Festival. It’s within walking distance to the festival and boardwalk and has well maintained manicured property with a pool and a little “bar”. Rooms are basic/generic and this year there was an additional parking fee but overall it’s a nice place with friendly owners /management

Overall it was a great place to stay. Clean, nice staff when we checked in which was easy and fast. Rooms are more modernized than the others down there. I did not like that that put a note ok your door saying you can extend you stay but when we went to extend they told us someone already had the room. So we used the other option which was $15 hr to extend your stay but we couldnt stay pass 1pm. The card that was use to pay for the extension was not the card associated with the room. We had two room but only extend one. Once we check out they charged my card $40 saying we did not return the keys to the room that was not extended and was checked out at 11am. When i asked about them charging my card she said oh dont worry about it. Outside of the card issue it was a good place to stay.

Kind folks & comfortable

Overall lovely experience, hosts were super nice and when we arrived early they were able to accommodate our early arrival. Please what we were not happy with were the outlets in the room from time to time did not work or very slimy and it was very difficult to figure out how to use the television. But we would definitely book there again.

The hotel floor was dirty but smelled like pinesol Bed Sheetz were clean and the bed was comfortable also there were holes where mice chewed and we had a baby mouse in the bathroom behind the toilet I attached a video of the mouse the staff was very nice

Overall not a bad place to stay. Parking was $10 per day per car, which I don’t agree with. There was daily service with new towels and wash cloths. The Internet was pretty slow, but was at least included. The pool was saltwater, which was nice. But it is a little small.

Never coming back

Very disappointed in our stay. We got the keys and everything and we asked where is room 14, we were told it was across the street. So we put back our luggage in car, drove across unpack luggage and found out it wasnt really there. Packed our luggage again and drove back to original site and there it was. We just lost 40 extra mins of our daylight time. So we got in our room, AC is not even cold, there is sand all over the floor and no shampoo and conditioner provided. We asked at the lobby if they have any shampoo at least, they said no. Beds are flimsy looking. For high price they charge, I am very disappointed in this place. TV does not even work.

Waste of money

Our room was so bad we didnt feel comfortable staying overnight. We opened the door to a overly perfume smelling room, the walls were bowing out, floor were flimsy ( felt like we were going to go through them), bathroom not cleaned, beds were uncomfortable to sit on as well as it was stuffy and the air conditioner wasnt working well. Meanwhile the deadbolt on the door didnt work nor did the door itself close correctly.

The room was a good space, didn't like the shower it was a bit small. The front desk staff were friendly. The Wi-Fi repeatedly disconnected for no reason and that was a little annoying as well.

My experience for this place was horrible they need some serious remodeling to do for the money they charge us crazy the room had a horrible smell to it bathroom didn’t seem clean at all if i could give this place a 0 i would just so sad please spend your money elsewhere!!!
