Air conditioning unit threw out pieces of black stuff that landed on the table and the couch. Wasn’t cleaned up by maid the next day.

Small freezer needed defrosted.

Change of levels on the walkways were not marked in any way.

Water was hot. That was good.

Every evening there was loud noise that sounded like moving heavy furniture and metal HVAC vents. Stomping foot steps above our ceiling.

Saturday night there was loud laughter and yelling as though a crowd of drunks were in front of the rooms. The noise did abate around 10 pm.

The ice machine was totally inconvenient. You need more than one.

No place to set out necessities in the bathroom. Toilet bounced every time you set on it.

No end tables or suitcase rack in the bedroom.

Heat was insufficient and you cannot reach the controls to change it.

Could feel and hear the springs on the edge of the mattress when rising.

Women working front desk were very pleasant. Plenty of towels were provided.

There was a lot of noise and also invasion of privacy during our stay as well as finding old smoking tips in our window sill and the walls were paper thin, not to mention the bathroom door didn’t even work properly.

Our room was too small for 3 people. We had no bench to put our luggage, no hooks to hang wet baths towels, could have use another garbage pail in the main room. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and we liked the location proximity to restaurants, beach and boardwalk.

Look into the place before you book..

Room was a puddle of strong smelling chemicals, dodnt an hour cleaning JUST the main floor with what I had. No toilet paper roll holder, dirty couch, pretty bad pull out bed, dirty tables, old food outside the door with ants all over the place. 4pm check in and the room was ready..they wanted 25$ to check in before…and still the room was not ready..had to wait after we tried to address some of the issues ended up having to wait..they didn’t address the issues anyway.
The room was nice, very small, the answer for towels and such was fast and friendly. You can definitely find better places for that price.

Less than your average Mom and Pop Motel

T V had a bad screen two black stripes running down the screen , toilet seat ready to fall off, A/C terribly noisey, stains on the bed spread ,shower barely had water coming out of it, pool was clean but only one table had an umbrella leaving the other three with just the pole and when I asked if they had any, I was told they blew away into the parking lot a week or two before and one hit a car! Lol! No excuse for not having them, we were forced to go buy a cheapie. Staff was nice though. I think the owner is not around to keep tabs on this stuff but all in all my stay was ok and blessed with beautiful weather during our stay. Be warned though if your bringing a pickup truck or a large SUV parking is super super tite! That’s for sure

Perfect For Couple's

They have a bay side location on 2nd street and then the main location facing the boardwalk. The room we stayed at was the queen size bedroom. It was small, but perfect for a couples stay. It was clean, we were able to check in a little early bc the room was available and any questions or concerns the staff was very helpful! All in all the room was perfect, being so close to the beach was a bonus and the free parking with nice staff made it all come together!

When we checked in to Madison Beach, we had no idea our room would be in Madison Beach, Bayside. We honestly didn’t know they had a separate building from Madison Beach on Baltimore Ave. Madison Beach, Bayside is on St.Louis Avenue, so not close to the pool, no ice machine at this building and right next to the bridge! So definitely not quiet when you’re trying to go to sleep and you start hearing early morning traffic crossing the bridge, so if you’re looking to sleep in, it’s not happening! Also, everyday the street flooded right at the intersection of St. Louis Ave and N. Division Street, which is right at the parking lot in front of the hotel. I would stay at the Madison Beach again, just would not want to be in this building!

The hotel was great for the price. It’s close to the boardwalk. It was good for what we needed. My complaint would be that the bed was small and there were no towel racks to hang your towels on. Overall, I would stay here again.

I feel we got what we paid for with this motel. The property is well maintained and the staff friendly and helpful. The bed is big and comfortable and the AC worked. The room is small and the bathroom tiny but clean. Very family friendly so it’s a bit noisy. A quick and pleasant stroll to the beach and boardwalk!

Great place for our girls' weekend get-a-way!

This is a wonderful find for a quick weekend stay. If the mattress and pillows were of a bit higher quality I would totally give a 5 Star Rating! The staff, check-in, and building maintenance, security and maids were all very friendly and courteous! The pool was great - nice size. The room is a motel room, so not very big but we didn't need that. Nothing fancy, but definitely not a dump like some other places I have stayed in the area. They have done a fantastic job with the renovations and are still improving your experience with any suggestions you may have. I suggested an extra space by the window adjacent to the bathroom for additional mirror/get ready space, but overall, great stay for the $$ and a wonderful experience. Thank you!

location was not what I expected, I was sent to the bay side away from all amenities, I had no access to pool, ice machine, I was 5 blocks away from board walk and although they say I chose this I did not. an address was given and since I don't live there I am not familiar with it, no where on my reservation did it say bayside..

We did not expect to be sent to the bayside where we did not have access to anything the motel had to offer. They say it’s what I chose but nowhere on my paperwork did I see bayside only an address and since I’m not from the area I wouldn’t know where that would be. It’s nice they’re expanding but you need to advertise those rooms better. About 5 or 6 blocks from the boardwalk.

The room had no night stands, no room darkening shades, no drawers to put anything away, no coffee machine, and uncomfortable pleather sofa bed that was dirty when you opened it, the mini fridge didnt fit under the counter where it was supposed to go so it sat in the middle of the floor taking up more room in an already very small space. The A/C worked well for the main room but to get the bedroom cool we had to keep it on high at a very low temperature for hours. There was no real door to the bathroom. Just a makeshift sliding door without a handle or track that doesnt completely shut leaving zero privacy. Only one ice machine several buildings away.

The room was small, but for the price this place is actually nicer than a lot of other places I've stayed in the same range. The walls are pretty thin so it was fairly noisy between the road and the neighbors. The bathroom was very uncomfortable and small. Very little room for your stuff and lacked a garbage can(the only one being in the kitchen). The bed was comfortable and the shelves on each side with available outlets was nice. I would be ok with staying here again, but only as a couple or by myself. I wouldn't want to attempt to cram a family of 4 in there. Lower boardwalk, beach shop, pizza place, ice cream, and a convenience store all very close to the property

super cute motel. clean but they dont wipe down the bed frames, there were a bunch of crumbs and yucky stuff 👎 plus a $150 down payment for property damage i didnt know about. also they have like three buildings and they put us in the furthest one away, only a 5 min walk so im not like terribly upset but still a teensy inconvenient. The staff was super sweet though!

Last minute trip. We were pleasantly surprised with the condition of the hotel and rooms, considering we only paid $100 for a one night stay Memorial Day weekend. It looks like they recently had a renovation. Everything was like new condition. Rooms were very clean. We will definitely be back.

Location is great. 1 block from the boardwalk. Walking distance to plenty of food choices, bars etc. Clean and felt safe. Was perfect for the Boardwalk Rock Festival. Many others going to the festival at that motel said they stay there motel all the time.
Would I stay again? Maybe.
Bed was okay but bring your own pillows. Make sure to bring an extension cord. There was only 1 outlet in the room and it was behind the bed. You will hear everything outside and if anyone is smoking nearby you will smell it in the room. There is no place to hang bathroom towels, wet bathing suits, etc. Barely any room to move around the room. AC didn't always work. The place needs serious renovations. (updates have been made but they are cosmetic) Some employees were nice, others had an attitude.

The only complaint I have is we left on a Sunday and the trash truck came at 6am and then a guess were out there at 6:30am talking so loud in the morning. Small, but clean rooms. The A/C heat unit kept shutting off even on high. The parking spaces are VERY tight. The one night we came back and the room smelled of weed. The walls are thin, you can hear EVERYTHING. You could see light around the front door, no seal.

This motel was very convenient for our needs.
The motel was incredibly overpriced for the condition but comparably priced to other hotels nearby for the prime weekend.
In hindsight, I would have traveled further to get a lower rate and a better room.
The pictures on the website show a wide variety of room types and conditions.
The pictures of our room type are not truly indicative of the condition and are a little misleading.
We had a Front court standard room and it did not have as much room as the picture shows.
The WIFI was unusable.
The staff was very friendly.

The location of this hotel was perfect for staying in Ocean City for the Oceans Calling music festival and that was about it. Upon entering the room, the floors were covered in sand, there was a huge gap under the door, the paint on the walls was bubbling and chipping from moisture damage, there is no where to hang anything as the one coat rack was falling out of the wall, and the bathroom had a sliding barn door which provided no privacy. It’s clear they have done some small renovations over the years, but this place needs an overhaul. Appreciated the large fridge and microwave, but there are no chairs or even a table in the room to put your stuff down. Overall, the stay was tolerable, but I would not stay here again for the price I paid and the quality of the rooms.

The location is central to everything and within walking distance to the beach, restaurants and the restaurant Spain!. Parking is great and you should have no problem with that. Please note that it is right behind a 7 Eleven.

The room was average. The problematic thing for me was a strong chemical odor/fume in the room similar to bleach but I do not think that it was bleach. I think the room was recently fumigated. Regardless, it should not have been occupied until it was properly ventilated and the fumes dissipated. I became unwell because of that and had to checkout a day early.

The wifi is nonexistent, the sliding bathroom door that had no track on the bottom so it just flaps in the wind never really giving you privacy, the beds are uncomfortable and there is no outdoor sitting area as we were in the building behind 7-11. The lower area had a spot that would be perfect for sitting outside but it was empty of any chairs. The main 2 buildings in the front have a veranda between them but when I asked if we could come sit on it to watch the street the girl at the front desk told me “as long as you don’t disturb the other guests”. But it was ok for a family to post up in the corner of it 24/7 and smoke weed even though the signs all the way down it say no smoking. I’d stay again because I liked our room as it had a sitting area with little table to eat at. There are no frills but very clean, close to the boardwalk, and relatively quiet until the drunks come back knocking on doors because they forget what room they’re staying in.

If I could pick 0 stars I would. Our room was located in the turtle building near the pool. Upon entering the room you realize the pictures of the rooms online are deceiving. The rooms are very small and there is no room for suitcases. The bathroom door did not close without forcing it and then you had a difficult time exiting. When we entered the room I heard the toilet The worst part was the toilet being broken and shooting water everywhere. There are no phones in the room which requires you to walk to the front desk for help.

It worked well for us. It was small, just a shower no closet or hanging rack but had a full fridge and microwave. The bathroom door was a sliding door that didn't lock, so might be a privacy issue for some. We were only my husband, our 3 year old and myself. I made sure daddy got the privacy he needed when he was in the bathroom. Crossing, I think it's called Baltimore Ave, a slight issue at times with all our beach stuff since the pedestrian crossing is not off the hotel, but no biggie really. Great location close to everything. With a 3 year old, we were very close to the playground and carnival rides. It was a good stay, we'll stay there again, it was priced fairly.

Nice little gem.

Our stay was just a night as we were coming into town. The location can’t be beat, the condition of the hotel is to be expected for what you’re paying. We stayed in the Octopus building which backs right up to the 7/11 which turned out to be very convenient. The condition of the rooms is pretty good, the bathroom faucet was a little loose and rusty, but the room overall wasn’t bad. The bed was comfortable, but could have used more pillows for the bed.

We stayed 4 days. Perfect for 2 adults and 2 kids. We stayed in a suite where the living room has a pull out couch and the bedroom was sufficient for the 2 adults. Very close to the boardwalk and beach. Stayed by the pool all day one day, pool and area around pool was very clean. Employees were friendly and helpful. Cost effective since we are on a budget. We will absolutely be staying again.
