The elevator in tower one broke as soon as we got all of our luggage to the fourth…..the staff kindly moved us to tower 2!! Although the hotel is dated everything was in working order and clean!! The ocean view is beautiful!!!

My one complaint would be the lack of emergency lighting in the stairwells. Power went out and it pitch black going down the stairs. Also, the water in the shower was extremely hot.

I was going to Ocean City for a music festival and rented a room here. At check in the front desk person seemed annoyed that we were there. We were then told our room was in the wrong building. There are 3. The room itself has a nice set up with sofa, table and chairs with 2 beds. But we were hit with the smell of mildew as soon as we walked in. The bathroom was dirty, there was hair on the sink, counter and tub. The towels looked dirty but smelled clean. Same with the sheets on the bed. There is only a flat sheet and a super thin blanket on the bed. We stayed for 4 nights. One of the 2 room keys we were given stopped working after the first day.
It worked as a place to sleep after a long day of dancing. But I will not be staying here again.

Balcony door handle broken and can’t lock it.
Both blankets are visibly dirty with stuff on them.
Looks like mold on the shower head.
Sounds like a monsoon outside the door to get into our room.
Blankets are very thin. Looks like a cloth table cloth.
Water thing broken in shower (turns water on/off).
No microwave despite saying there was one.
No phone in room.
Took our towels from previous day and didn’t replace them. Went to get more and told there were no clean towels and to call front desk to let them know. Front desk had been full with people having trouble checking in.

I was required to pay a $100 deposit, which was fine, when checking out, we were told the deposit would be refunded. It has been a week later and that deposit has cleared my bank and you can not get through to their front desk. I have called the number several times and it’s an AI system that answers, I ask for the front desk, she says she’s transferring me & you get another AI system saying “thanks for calling kings something hotel”. I want to know why my deposit was kept when nothing was wrong with the room & I was told I would receive this back! This is very annoying & now out $100 for absolutely no reason.

The views were the best part of the hotel, but the TV was spotty at best flickering in and out. There were lights in the room that did not work in the bathroom the nightlight hairdryer just fell off the wall. There was no iron in the room. The overall appearance of the outside of the hotel was run down.

This property was terrible. I paid for pool view but there are no rooms with a view of the pool. The room was old and dirty. Had to decide if I should unplug a light or charge my phone due lack of outlets. Toilet paper holder was missing the bar and when questioned was told that the holder is so old there is no replacement available. Knob to adjust temperature in fridge was missing so my food spoiled. Every inch of room was filthy.

Good and cheap, but needs updated

The room was nice for what ya get, but needs a lot of updating all around. Patio door was broke, shower head is old and wearing, some pillows had like lipstick looking stains on them, and no matter what we tried to do the WiFi wouldn’t work for the tv and kept unconnecting from our phones. I will say the beds were comfy, view was great, and most things in the area were very accessible and nearby. If you are looking for a cheap stay and not worried about too much except a comfy bed and cable tv with being close to the beach this would be your spot.

The property was located perfectly. The room was not clean. Trash behind the mini fridge, white substance on bedding & fecal matter on emergency exit sign on the inside of the door. When brought to their attention they said they didn't have availability to move us to a different room even though the light outside said they had vacancy. Instead they came with fabuloso in a spray bottle to \"clean\" items noted.

The smell of the Tower 2 building was terrible. The pad lock on our room door was broken, screws kept falling out every time we closed the door. Behind toilet the floor was black I guess from toilet leaking before. Toilet clogged every time we flushed and had to call for maintenance to plunge because no plungers in bathroom. The wall outlets were missing covers and our charges would not stay plugged in, had to use bedside stand to push against charger to hold it into wall. We had 4 guest and when I booked I booked for 4 guest. Every day we had to call for more towels and wash clothes because we were given 1 set! Not worth the money at all. I expected it to be outdated but this was TERRIBLE.

The photo of the room I Booker was definitely not the place to be got. Slight ocean view. There was broken glass under the toilet and sink in the bathroom. The mini fridge smelled horrible in the freezer. I think the person who stayed before us left crabs or something in there. The positives, great location, the pool is amazing! Front desk clerks were very helpful and social. I recommend for a friend group trip but not for families

Can’t Wait to Return

This was our second trip to OCMD but first at The Flamingo. I’m so happy we made this choice! This is simply a good old fashioned beach motel experience. You won’t get huge hotel frills but we did those ourselves in the kitchenette. I read some of the negative reviews and wasn’t she start to expect. The staff were extremely helpful, fixing our tv issue and going out of their way to explain the weird lock situation. We could see our kids playing on the beach from our deck. Need I say more?

Overall I did enjoy this property but had several issues. The microwave was unusable. It was completely rusted out with the coating inside peeling off. The toilet was horrendous. Not bolted down so rocked back and forth. Also, it only flushed maybe 1 out of every 5 times. No coffee pot in room even tho pic and description said it did (we were given one eventually). Tv only worked sometimes and cut in and out and kept freezing. Even with all that, the room was clean, the beds were comfy and staff were very nice. The pools were great along with the location. So much stuff within walking distance. Renovations are needed but this is typical for OC,MD.

Parking is horrible god forbid you go to get fool you will be stuck finding street parking! How do you have so many rooms booked and not enough parking?? HUGE INCONVENIENCE!! Also items was stolen out of my room as well as my sisters room and all the front desk staff had to say was I needed to make a police report! Staff comes in your room I announced, and I don’t like that either. When I said something they said you have to ask for DND sign which is weird because most hotels/Motels have them or they don’t. Thought it was weird I had to ask for one!

Staff was friendly however there were just too many issues w the room. Tv and room keys not working, broken sliding glass patio door. We had to originally change rooms due to an absurd amount of mold on the ceiling. Moved me from a suite to a single room and I still had to pay the suite rate. I have a 9 month old baby and could not risk her staying in the room w so much mold. Room smelled like mildew and curry. Not a joke. I do not reccomend this hotel

From the very start, it was obvious that the front desk staff at the Flamingo Motel DO NOT like Hotels.com. I had requested a 3rd or 4th floor several times prior to my visit and was ultimately told it would not happen since I booked the trip through Hotels.com. Today when I checked out, the man said he would not print a receipt because I'd receive one by email from Hotels.com. (Last year there was no problem printing a receipt and I booked through Hotels.com then as well.) Another issue was that I was unable to connect to wi-fi with my laptop. The front desk staff told me it was due to an issue with MY computer. Several days later, by some miracle, the wifi worked! Apparently someone much scarier than me complained and someone on the staff turned it on. Very frustrating! One final note, there was mold on the ceiling and the plumbing was terrible.

Upon arrival, there was no toilet paper or towels at the room. The floor had sand. Next morning. I sat in one of the chairs at the balcony, one the chair leg was broken ( it was not visible) and fell down hitting my elbow on the wall. I reported it, but they just said “ thank you for reporting and we will change the chair”. Not apology or concern for the guest’s injury. I will not go back again.

The room furniture is old, there is no no coffee, there isno toilet paper, and there is no phone to call reception; you need to use your mobile. Reception is in a different building. This is the worst motel.

Pack your patience!

I recently stayed at the Flamingo Motel for two nights and unfortunately, it was not a pleasant experience. Despite the motel’s decent location in Ocean City, the customer service ruined the experience for us.

Upon arrival, our room wasn’t ready for the promised 4pm check-in time, and it seemed like we weren’t the only ones experiencing this delay. Several customers were left waiting for their rooms. There was no manager to help with this situation. Once we did get access to our room, there were only two towels for a room that could accommodate up to five people.

The check-in process itself was also frustrating. There was no clear communication about the privacy lock on the door, and we ended up getting locked out of our room that created inconvenience. On top of that, housekeeping ignored the “Do Not Disturb” sign, and I was rudely awakened at 8am by a housekeeper attempting to enter our room.

To make matters worse, I couldn’t get in touch with the manager and there was no posted schedule or contact information, and even Hotels.com couldn’t reach them on my behalf. It felt like customer service was completely lacking at this motel.

Overall, my stay at Flamingo Motel was disappointing. While the location was decent, the lack of communication, poor housekeeping practices, and lack of support from management make it hard to recommend. I hope the motel addresses these issues in the future.

The room did not have a single hanger, the iron was missing, the curtain rod was hanging off the wall on one side and the sliding door frame came apart. It was all eventually fixed and taken care off but I had to waste some of my vacation time to go to the office to ask for things and thing to be repaired and wait for the repair guy to fix things.

Our room was not cleaned before we checked-in. After being told it would be cleaned and taken care of during the next day, it was NOT! We came back to the same mess, beds not made, no blanket, no towels, messy floors, bathroom, toilet, even a \"shotgun\" beer can on the balcony. ATROCIOUS! Fridge door (refrigerator part) was broken, we brought our own snacks that needed to be kept cool, told the young guy at front desk..didn’t seem fazed. Also couldn’t use the tv in the room due to no remote, we were told they didn’t have a spare or anything they could do for us. Carpet was soaking wet feeling the whole time when we haven’t gone in the water yet. Overall not a good place to book going somewhere else next time for sure!

I like the location of the property. It is just off the end of the boardwalk. I like both the indoor and outdoor pools. I like the ocean facing rooms with the pink Adirondack chairs on the balcony. I don't like the Keurig coffee in the office lobby. I really liked the coffee they had prior to that.

Upon arriving at check-in, I quickly noticed that this place is not handicap accessible, which is concerning, especially given that I have MS. The elevators were frightening; the buttons had stains that appeared to be feces, and the overall smell made for an unpleasant experience! When we finally made it to our room, I found there was no door lock at the top, and the floor was soaking wet.

Since there’s no phone in the room, I had to use my personal cell to call the office to report the wet floor and request extra towels. To my dismay, I was told there was no alternative room available despite clear signs indicating vacancies outside. When the staff member came to assess the situation, my daughter was handed four towels, but then they abruptly took them back, claiming they needed them.

I confronted the owner, insisting we needed those towels back for our group of four girls, especially since we were only given two initially. His reasoning for taking them was absurd; he didn’t want us to use them on the floor, implying that would be something only an idiot would do. Ultimately, he just shrugged off our concerns, claiming the floor was merely “a little damp” and placed towels on the floor himself. This is unacceptable, and there’s so much more to say, but unfortunately, I'm limited to 1500 characters.

We had to switch to three different rooms the first room. It was like a leak in the bathroom floor had water all over it the second room the heater didn’t work. He stayed for two days because in the last one we had no hot water we had to go somewhere else. The staff is nice though.

This was our second time in Tower 2, first time on the 3rd floor, this time on the 5th floor. Amazing view both times, entrance to the dune is right there making it super easy to get on the beach. The indoor pool was clean, the property is older but very well maintained. The room was clean, beds this time were a little soft, but for the price it can't be beat. EVERYONE on staff was so very kind and attentive. If you're looking for a luxury stay this won't be it, but if you're looking for a clean, quiet, affordable place with a terrific view, this is it. We've never stayed in Tower 1 so I can't vouch for the view there but it didn't look as nice.

We were really pleased with our stay. The motel is located close to the boardwalk and other activities. Room was really spacious and our ocean view was wonderful. Bed and pillows were super comfy. Paid for a room with hardwood floor. Looked NOTHING like the pictures besides the bathroom. Got a stained carpet room covered in mold. The wallpaper corners are peeling off because it’s all mold behind it. Asked for a different room, they said no and said they will clean it the next day (we were the one night so that is not helpful). Even had dead bugs next to bed stand. Reached out to Expedia for assistance and even they couldn’t get through to the hotel to try to resolve this. Only good thing is it’s a great location. Our friends on lower level, had a remodeled room which still had mold on walls. Place should be shut down. I have PLENTY of pictures!!!!!!

Do not ever stay at the flamingo!!!

It was so dirty. Felt uncomfortable. We asked for a cleaner room but nothing was done bc they said theyd have to call a manager ...?? I didnt mjnd but they did i guess.

Day one I came in and it was pretty gross. Beds were made but the whole place smelled like toilet water mixed with bleach. I sprayed some perfume and realized it may have been from the AC unit. I turned off the AC and also opened the door to air it out. Next few days were OK. Their was sand in my bed after it was cleaned and made day three. I also found a fingernail clipping in the sheets day one. Ice box was out of order, vending machine took my money, fridge inside the unit didn’t close all the way. You have to ask for a coffee machine. Toilet didn’t flush pee without clogging and having to flush twice. Keys didn’t work and I had to get multiple key replacements for the room which they said was “due to me putting it near my phone” which it was never once next to or near my phone. There was also a shoe insert left on my balcony which I just left there. The latch to the balcony was broken and so was the drawers which was fixed the third day. The drawer was still pretty uneasy but it was alright. The hangers were broken and they didn’t offer any new ones when I asked for them. The elevator was slow.

The cleaning lady that was there day two cleaned my room very nice and each day I had there (as I requested because you have to request) I came back to a made bed in good clean condition. The vending machine guy gave me the two sodas for free because the machine took my money which was nice. The pool had a sand washing station after the beach which wasn’t cold.

The out door pool bathroom was nasty
Green mold and brown mold in toilet The carpet in room was nasty and feet stuck to it. The room smelled like mold.
