Place was decent for the price. Only problem we had was one of the balcony doors was poorly installed and the top of the door didn’t reach the frame and kept trying to fall. We were told no one was available to fix it and when asked for some partial refund as the hotel did not have any other rooms to move to, we were told if anything we’d be charged extra for damaging hotel property. We have videos showing no damage was done and that the door was just installed poorly. Ask for a room change immediately if they try to put ya in 274!

When we got there the room they gave us still had the dirty dishes, all the sheets were gone, and floor was sticky and nothing was cleaned from the last guest. We then had to wait until almost 7pm for them to put us in another room. This one was cleaned but at night we found out the heat didn't work. To top off this trip I paid in full for this room in advance, told the check-in clerk I did and he charged me a second time for the room. Not they not only won't answer their phone but I believe they blocked my phone number. This is the worst OC hotel I have ever stayed at and I've been coming here every year for the last 10.

Room was clean, bathroom looked unkept. There was glue in the sink to repair a large crack. The shower looked yellow tinted. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful about the property. The toilet was clogged as soon as we got there. Every time it needed to be used, it would clog/overflow. There was a new plunger (tag still on it) that we used and it didn’t seem to do anything. The water would just eventual go down on its own after a while. The sliding door for the balcony was hard to open.

My husband had to slam his shoulder into open our door to our room. The manager came over and had to do the same and said he knew about it. The microwave had rust in it. The blinds to the bathroom were broken and people walking outside could s the us in the bathroom. Said offered hair dryer and there was none. Rust in the bathroom and mold in the shower. Very noisy. Beds were very comfortable.

I’ve stayed at the simple life in the past and generally don’t have issues. It’s in a nice section of ocean city and the price is good.

On my most recent visit, however, there were a couple of problems. First, checking in is now combined with the flamingo at their service desk. Not a huge deal, but it did turn a two minute check in into a 20 minute process. After checking in, my husband and I went to our room. The smoke detector wouldn’t stop chirping due to a dead battery. We walked back to the flamingo (they no longer have phones to front desk in the rooms) and let them know and asked for someone to please come replace the battery. The woman said someone would be right up. I fell asleep and two hours later my husband had to find the number and call to ask if someone was going to come replace the battery. They said no, that there are 40 people there and only two employees. He told the employee that this was unacceptable, we were told someone would be right up and we weren’t paying to be slowly driven crazy by their smoke alarm (simply unplugging it was not an option, I had already tried). The guy argued for a minute and then came up and tried handing some batteries to my husband, who couldn’t figure out how the smoke detector opened. The guy also couldn’t figure it out and disappeared for 15 minutes before bringing the smoke detector back in working order.

All in all it could have been worse but didn’t appreciate being lied to and there are better places for the same $$

The staff were friendly and helpful. The ceiling of the room had a brown substance sprayed across it, the moldings were dusty, and there was a musty smell coming from the air conditioner. The balcony had the most lovely view of the ocean, however the balcony above was heavily leaking a/c and it appeared unstable/not safe. My biggest feedback was the broken deadbolt. I stacked my cans in front of the door at night. If the brown spew across the ceiling was not there, I may have felt more comfortable. The outdoor pool was lovely.

Wouldn’t stay here twice

Main door does not seal, floor was wet from rain when we entered. Bathroom smelled of rancid mildew, severely outdated, no storage space. Only one lamp/light in the room was working. Tv picture was awful with black line down the center. AC did not work (blowing but not cold) when arrived, reported issue and it was fixed. Floors were unswept, sheets wouldn’t stay on mattress, iron didn’t work.

This motel is part OC Resorts (OCResorts.com). So let’s start this review. The place isn't a 2.5 or 2 star motel let alone a one star motel.

Room musty. Mold in in bathroom with brown water running from from the tub facet. Place is in major need of of a rehabilitation or better yet torn down and rebuilt.

Staff was another story and to long to get into but be aware that if you request a different room based on your dissatisfaction or give the staff any problems or disagree with them they will use the exemption they have under the Maryland laws to evict you from the room and take your remaining room rental and security deposit. Did I mention that they charge a security deposit fee that they will grab if they evict you. So be prepared to dispute the charges with your credit card company.

So if you are considering this motel or any properties in this group I would reconsider my selection and go elsewhere.

The staff was great. Check in was easy. Provided me all the information needed to stay on property. The room was clean, but was lacking. Some of the outlets didn’t work. Thin blankets on bed and no fitted sheet. AC and TV worked great. All in all we were comfortable during our stay while visiting for a music festival.

It was so dirty there was hair everywhere that was black. The linens were dirty. The pillows smelled like mold. The bathroom window was nailed shut so he couldn’t even open it for ventilation very dim lights very That my back hurt top to bottom unkept not impressed at all. I will not be returning. Excellent location, literally just steps from the ocean. Somewhat updated accommodations. Cleaner than most.

Bathroom was shabby and in need of upgrading, there were only 2 small lamps, and the 3rd lamp had no bulb or anywhere to plug it in. Working mini fridge was a plus, as well as a little balcony/patio area. Lock on slider was sturdy. Ac was cold, bed, pillows and linens were comfortable. Very pleasant check in.

Stayed in a first floor Deluxe room with 2 full beds. Beds and general living room/kitchen area were very clean so no complaints there. The bathroom however was very outdated and I tried not to look at the gross tiles and corners of the room, generally clean though. Another thing, not really enough lighting in the room. If you want natural lighting you have to open curtains and that means every single person outside your room can see inside, no privacy. Our view was horrible too, of just the parking lot. We could have asked for a room on a higher floor instead facing the beach, so that could have been on us. Our room was also right next to a janitor's closet of some sorts so we had 2 restless nights due to noises right outside our rooms. Overall very average and it didn't even have a pool for the price we paid. Like for just $30 more we could have booked a place with a pool, will definitely do that next time.

Since I booked this trip at the last minute, I knew that I was going to be staying at the nicest hotel in town, but I didn't think it would be so dated. The WiFi worked very sparingly. The cable connection was limited to about 10 channels out (maybe) of 20. The rest of the programming was either blank or in freeze-frame mode. Lastly, it was bizarre to see so many people standing outside of their rooms smoking marijuana.

I paid for a “partial ocean view” and all I see is parked cars and grass. Theres a window in the bathroom the faces the hallway and the window blinds don’t cover window properly

The sheets were covered in sand when we arrived. We had to sleep on top of the comforter and use beach towels as blankets because the sheets and blankets on the bed felt so sandy and gross. Room was fine but no deadbolt on the door so it felt a bit unsafe. TV only had a few channels and no guide, so didn’t even know what else was on or what you were watching. Rude front desk lady when we checked out. Tight parking spots, but convenient location to beach and shops/restaurants. Won’t be going there again though.

I thought this property was going to be better since we saw good pictures online. However, that failed us. The first issue was that the room was on the second floor and I'm handicapped and basically I was screwed. I wanted a Queen and they only had it on the second floor unless i wanted a full size bed or a double. The room was being renovated and things were not plugged in or working. The toilet sit had a Crack in it and there was Sand all over the floor. I almost killed myself in the shower. No grap bars and the tub was slippery. You have to give a $200 deposit and hopefully you will get it back. We were ripped off for the price we paid. Don't stay here. You'll regret it.

You get what you pay for, so this no-frills hotel was exactly what I needed-- an inexpensive room in sight of the ocean. The building shows its age, but the room was fine, the fridge and the a/c did their job, and everyone (hotel staff and other guests) was friendly and nice. Internet wasn't great (slow to load and would not support streaming).

My family of four enjoyed staying at this property because it was conveniently located by the beach. We had a great ocean view balcony room but the balcony floorboards were weak and loose - they need to be renovated. One of the staircase needs some renovations as a lot of rust, I guess from the weather has eroded the metal on the stairwell. The room and beds were clean and comfortable but the bathroom could use a little more work with the caulking to prevent that mold from building up and remove the cheap adhesive baseboards. The WIFI was also weak and kept kicking us off wifi. Don’t attempt to bring a PlayStation (for rainy days and evenings) because the wifi is lousy. And to get the WIFI password, you must look at your room key sleeve closely because it’s where they post the wifi password without actually telling you where to find the password. Other than those minor issues, we were comfortable as a family. It was a quiet area, families keeping to themselves with no smell of any kind of smoke anywhere. We are not picky people. We just wanted a place to shower and sleep while we go to the beach during the days and dinners at night. This place was perfect for that. Thank goodness it didn’t rain during our stay.

I'm not one to write reviews, but I felt a need to. When booking I automatically click the pool amenity and this hotel came up. I DOES NOT HAVE A POOL! (Expedia's issue)

The cleaning staff was friendly and eager to help out. The front desk attendant was nice, except for one time I forgot to hang the parking pass back on mirror and my daughter was down at the car and she was explaining my mom takes it down when she drives. She told her like 3 times hastily to leave it up, then I came out and she said it again and again rudely. I finally said, \"OK I GET THE POINT!\" The shower sucks, hot/cold/hot/cold and one time just cold, in the middle of my shower of course. My guess is every time someone flushes a toilet it affects your water. They fixed up the rooms, so they are pretty clean and beds are comfy, but the bathrooms are super dated. All and all for the price we paid during the week I was ok with everything. However, if I paid the weekend prices I would be extremely put off. Would I stay here again, NO. Did I feel like I wasted my money, NO, because it was cheap during the weekdays. It was not very busy when we went, yet the lot was full, so I'm thinking if they are booked to compacity some people will be ass out with parking.

The stay was mediocre at best. The walls are so thin that my wife and I heard the couple next door yelling and screaming at each other between 11pm - 12am.

I left to get some water at a near 7-11, came back to no parking on the lot. Drove around nearly 30 mintues looking for street parking.

The lady at check-in was not friendly at all. Got the vibe that she didn't want to be there to help customers.

Don't let the pictures fool you either. Upon arrival, the ceilings had proof of water damage and some of the ceiling tiles\panels were broken.

This is a cosmetically renovated old-style motel. Say the 1960s. No elevator, stairs only. TV distribution system is defective. It is the old style radio frequency system. Not the digital system now in use in almost all hotels. All channels were extremely snowy and very difficult to view. But I did not come to watch TV. All balconies have a security light that comes on at night making it very hard to sleep. The guest cannot turn it off. No carpet in the rooms. Bare Floors. Very few power outlets. Very few parking spaces. No coffee maker, no cups in the bathroom. No handtowels. The furniture is cheap and probably 10 years old. No comfortable chairs. Bed was comfortable tho. The prices are cheap and it shows. The facility is close to the beach. That is probably it's greatest asset.

Close to beach, but bring your own things…

The motel has had a cosmetic upgrade since its last incarnation, but there were a few things the owners overlooked. There are not enough power outlets and no USB chargers anywhere. One of the wall lamps had a cord too short to reach any outlet! The towel supply (2 bath towels, 2 washcloths in a double room) was thoroughly inadequate for a room at a beach motel where people will presumably shower frequently. Hand towels— they don’t provide ‘em. No drinking cups are provided. The hair dryer did not work. No blankets are provided. Mini-fridge did have a freezer compartment, which was welcome, but if you want coffee, go to the lobby. Beach proximity is amazing, though, and if you plan ahead, the place is adequate.

Overall decebt hotel for the money. The room i booked had a full kitchen with everything you would need for an extended stay. The beds were comfortable and the sheets were clean. The toilet seat looked like it went to war, the coating was peeling and flaking off. The dust ruffle on the bed looked like it jad a nice marble color until i realized that was just a bunch of stains. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

I was a bit nervous at first from the reviews. But like one of them said don’t let it scare you. Everything was great with the exception of the hot water barely being warm, the mold on the shower walls(which can be cleaned with bleach and a scrub brush), and the parking is a bit tight for big SUV’s and p/u trucks. It’s a great location though with no noise. I took my own cleaning supplies with me, so I wasn’t that bothered. I would definitely stay again but not if I can afford another place with hot water.

The room initially had some hair in the bathroom when we arrived. The sheets had stains on them. We asked for new sheets and they never brought them. They didn’t even come to clean our room one of the days, so we had to go get clean towels and toilet paper. The location is nice we could see the beach from our balcony. But we would never stay there again.

The check in was a bit difficult as their card machine was not working properly but the front desk person kept telling me I was declined when my card has alot of funds 20 min later and they finally got it right. The room had no toilet paper and left over small towels from previous people, and top lock to door was missing. The bed was comfortable not far from boardwalk or restaurants

I booked a room on Travelocity.
On the app it told me a first floor room because I'm disabled.
Arrived to check in and was given a 2nd floor room because their we're no 1st floor rooms available. Then later came back to hotel and no parking available had wife talk to desk clerk. Car was parked there that shouldn't have been so had to wait for them to be towed so I could park. I would not stay there again.
