My stay here was fantastic! The room had a little musty smell at first, but the air conditioning took that away very quickly. The room was immaculate, and the staff were very polite and helpful! I would definitely recommend this hotel! My room had a hot tub, and the price was excellent!

Hotels like this one damages the hospitality industry in the USA. I should be renovated completely.
Phones were not working and most of the buttons on the key pad were missing, roaches under the sink in the bathroom, night stands did not have handles or were missing screws, tv remote could only turn on tv and only provided on channel to watch,

I couldnt take a shower after my wife showered because only hot water was coming. So I came back home after one whole day at the hotel.

No breakfast, or do you call breakfast a cup cake, a disgusting orange juice and apple juice of poor quality, and apples.

Before I tried to take a shower, I found out the phone line was dead, so I had to go all the way down to the front desk to ask what time was breakfast up until.

Front desk staff just mentioned phones in the entire hotel in the rooms were not working. What if we had an emergency? He said to use our own cell phone.

I also noticed the side of the bathtub was barely held by a screw showing a big open gap in between the bathtub and the bottom of the bathroom door.

The smell of smoke, even in nonsmoking rooms is tough. The 4th floor hallway smelled like weed. We were given a “nonsmoking” room on the 4th floor that had cigarette burns in the sheets, so we were moved to the 2nd floor. Room was slightly better, but the tv didn’t work, nor the phone. The a/c worked great!! Given the price for one night, I understand the risks, just think Wyndham needs to monitor their properties better.

Room was clean and the towels were folded cool by the hot tub that was in the room. The water pressure was so slow took hours to fill up the hot tub. The TV didnt work at first had to ask front desk to fix it. The AC didnt work it blows air but never got cold enough. The side light and alarm clock and the phone to call the front desk didnt work either. Paid alittle over 100 bucks. Just wasn't worth the price. The room was clean I can say the housekeepers are the only ones working it seems. The bed was hard and the pillows were flat and only 2 of them for a king size bed. Stayed here last year same was better than. And cheaper.

I would not recommend staying more than one night. The breakfast they serve is a joke. There was orange juice, apple juice, granola bars, apples, and goldfish for breakfast options. The hotel itself had a bad smell and the room smelled like mildew. The water machine in the gym had hot water despite having a cold water dispenser, it did not work. The sauna had no light in it. It was not a comfortable stay when I went to the front desk to inquire about getting my room serviced with new sheets. I was informed that they do it every three days despite the sheets we had having a burn hole. The front desk workers were very unfriendly overall.

I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience from start to finish. One of the main reasons I booked here was for the pool, only to find out after arrival that it was closed with no prior notice given. The room itself was in poor condition. The bathroom had visible mold around the tub and ceiling, which made the entire space feel dirty and poorly maintained. The air conditioning barely worked, leaving the room hot and uncomfortable throughout the night.

The laundry room was equally frustrating. One washer was broken, and the vending machine was completely out of detergent soap, making it impossible to do laundry during my stay. When I brought these issues to the front desk, the staff seemed uninterested and unhelpful, offering no solutions or apologies.

To make matters worse, several other guests were loudly complaining in the hallways and lobby about problems with their rooms and service, so it clearly was not an isolated issue. Overall, the hotel felt neglected, poorly managed, and far below expectations. I would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable or relaxing stay.

Probably the worst sleep I have had in a hotel room ever. The pillows were weirdly very lumpy and uncomfortable to sleep on, so I ended up not using them at all. The bed was very firm and uncomfortable. There was a lot of noise in the hallways and from the streets outside including a couple of emergency vehicle sirens at night, making it even more difficult to fall asleep. I finally had to get up and put in my ear plugs which I usually pack just in case. We had a non-smoking room which was on a non-smoking floor, but because smoking was allowed on other floors, we could still smell the stench of smoke in the air. Breakfast was included but consisted of granola bars and pre-packaged muffins. Thank goodness for the Nespresso coffee maker, so the coffee was decent. The front desk staff was courteous, so no complaints there. We were in town for one night to attend a graduation party, so the location was convenient and the price was right, but we will not be staying here again.

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. The dining area had roaches crawling around, which was completely unacceptable and disgusting. The pool was ice cold with no heat working at all, making it unusable. The room itself was in terrible condition — broken drawers, ripped curtains, and it looked poorly maintained overall. The hallways reeked of cigarette smoke even though the hotel advertises itself as non-smoking. To make matters worse, the so-called “free breakfast” was basically nonexistent, only coffee and a few muffins. False advertising, poor cleanliness, and horrible maintenance. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and definitely will never stay here again.

We chose this hotel based on price and the fact that it's only a brisk 15-minute walk from the nearby HS/Community College stadium and Warhill sports complex, which we had to be at for a travel sports event for our child. After a long year of staying at the team hotel for travel soccer, we were delighted to find something half the distance for half the price.

We loved the retro architectecture, which we kind of remembered from stopping at Howard Johnson's as kids. That part is exactly as pictured in the photos. The pool was mostly open when it was supposed to be when we were there, and the pool area is super nice. The last day we were there they failed to open up the also nice breakfast room by the pool at 7 as it said on the sign or even by 9, but other than that they delivered on everything they were supposed to and all the basic stuff worked (a leaky tub faucet didn't much bother us). Breakfast is reasonably good muffins, wrapped chewy granola bars and convenience store apples. Coffee is good while it lasts (until around 10). Our child had a super early game the first day so we asked about a to go bag of breakfast and that was a no, but we thought that was fair.

The rooms were basically clean and we found the decor a nice alternative to the bigger chains, but we did see one tiny roach in the sink late at night. The hallways are also a mixed bag. It seems like they're understaffed for housekeeping, though they do eventually come and are very nice.

First room we were given was dirty; chips on the floor, tossed beds, personal items in the room and bathroom. Second room; the hair drier didn't work, the Jets in the tub didn't work and the safe was not secure to the floor or wall and fell on my mom's ankle, She was not injured badly but it did hurt.
The breakfast room was locked in the morning and breakfast consisted of bars apples and muffins, not at all the spread of breakfast we were expecting. There was one man at the front desk who was kind and accommodating each time I arrived at the front desk with a need.
Overall will never be back.

Awful amenities, not kid-friendly, Don’t waste your money or time. The “indoor” pool was frigid. The “jacuzzi” bathtub was broken. The beds were hard as a rock. The kitchen was closed; their “continental breakfast” is expired Nutrigrain bars, a couple sad apples, and stale Food Lion muffins. The building appeared as if it were built in the 1960s - I guess it DID make us feel like we were on an old movie set, so that was a cool part. There were some nice water bugs all over the place in the (closed) “restaurant” on the way to the pool.

Indoor pool was closed. Handmade sign on the front desk said the INDOOR POOL was \"seasonal\". It is not listed that way anywhere online. When mentioning our disappointment to the staff, they were very dismissive and rude. We cancelled our second night and got a refund.

Smells like marihuana, staff is terrible, they announce breakfast and there’s none, water system in the rooms are terrible, no ice o water available, everything is broken old and lack of maintenance. Homeless people nocking on the doors. Cars are not safe there. Homeless people sleeping in the hallways. It’s a ripoff. Don’t support this business. Don’t waste you time or money on this terrible place.

We would definitely stay here again coming to Busch Gardens Williamsburg from multiple days.. everything was good about the property, the rooms and Staff . Not having to pay a security deposit was a huge Plus.. the only complained me and my roommate had was the breakfast offerings were minimal.. there was cereal with milk at least or a protein. But honestly everything else was fine we would stay here again.

The sprinkler was gone in the room. There was a hole in the wall where it was supposed to be covered up with a piece of tape. There was a roach on the bathroom counter tops, when we went to the bathroom in the middle of the night.

The website advertises an indoor pool. The pool was closed \"for the season\" with the manager stating it's a seasonal pool. This was one of the main reasons we booked this hotel. The phones in the room did not work- not even to call down to the front desk. The television did not work upon arrival. It took two trips downstairs for the staff to come fix the television. Upon entering the room, it was quite musty due to no air circulation. Not many outlets to plug your necessities into. Very disappointed in our hotel stay.

Staff were smoking in the doorway of hotel while door opened. Sign said pool was out for season even tho it was advertised on website as functioning. There was a person asking for a refund in front of us because he said there were bed bugs and the room smelled of weed. The person working at the hotel told the gentleman that marijuana is legal in VA and some rooms allowed smoking. Our room on 4th floor had “no-smoking” signs but entire floor smelled of cigarettes and weed. Dresser was missing drawers, and hair was all over bed sheets (on top and under covers). I am actually surprised this hotel has not been shut down. It is a serious health hazard in my opinion.

I can look last an outdated building. However the stairwell had a strong urine smell. The pool is advertised as indoor but when we arrived it was closed due to being a seasonal pool. The person that checked us in barely spoke a word to us. The jet tub in the room didnt work, the AC barely worked and leaked all over the carpet.
The breakfast consisted of sticky muffins, cereal bars, juice and coffee from a dirty coffee machine. I recommend finding a different hotel. Its not worth the headache.

Room was large and clean. Hotel is dated, but clean. Comfortable bed and pillows. Bathroom had the 1970's original yellow tub, but it was clean and had an updated mirror with the integrated light. The only major isue - there was no hot water for showers!! Fortunately we were only there one night. Overall, it was a good bang for the buck.

Disappointing - the “hot” breakfast consisted of coffee, tea, mini- muffins & granola bars. The jacuzzi had no knobs on it to start the jets, the in-room phone didn’t work, even to call the front desk. We found out at check out that the jacuzzi controls were in the bathroom. That would have been nice to know ahead of time, as the jacuzzi was in the bedroom. There is an ice maker on each floor, but only the one on first floor works. I stayed 2 years ago & the breakfast was amazing then. It is a completely different hotel now. The advertised indoor pool is closed.

the furniture had stains, there was caps left from bottles of lotions and perfumes from previous guest under the table, and one of the chairs were broken. there was no actual comforter on the bed just sheets. the jacuzzi was real nice and big though and the water stayed hot the entire time and even for the shower.

Not very well lit signage to find the property and frankly looks abandoned. Sketchy people hanging outside smoking cigarettes and weed. Lobby reeked of smoke. Front desk guy checked us in was friendly enough but also said the room number out loud which isnt a safe thing to do (as two females traveling together don’t need random people within ear shot knowing specifically which room we’re in). When we got to our floor our nostrils were immediately filled with the stench of cigarette smoke. non smoking rooms are directly next to and across from smoking rooms which makes no sense. Carpet had red stains which I pray was wine. Cockroach skittered across the floor which we then killed. Shower head prob hasn’t been cleaned since it was installed. Clogged, white and crusty which meant terrible water pressure and uneven spray. Worst hotel i’ve ever stayed in and I travel a lot and have stayed in hostels and low budget motels. would Never recommend this place to anyone. It’s a smokers hotel for sure and can only imagine what the air filters in the room look like. Filthy place. DONT STAY HERE!
