The room had mold that they attempted to cover with paint. The walls had some fine white powder on them that got all over our clothes. Elevator is slow and tiny. The staff were lovely, however.

My booking said I would pay on arrival. I arrived after an overnight flight and went straight to the hotel (10 am) They had tried to charge me at midnight the night before, however my car on file had been cancelled due to fraud. I never received a call or an email and when I showed up they had given my room away. I was left to find a new room.

Right off the metro, very easy to get around. Bonus that there is an elevator. It’s located on a little side street so not too noisy, even though right in the center of many things to do and see.

I was very happy with my stay at Hotel Fleur Rivoli.I especially want to compliment the Front of House Staff. They are always very helpful and welcoming. One of the positives about the hotel is its location, just up the stairs from the Chatelet metro station, a big plus if you are carrying lots of luggage, and handy to the Louvre and the Palais Royale. There is also a food market right next door.
The one negative that may concern some travellers is that the street where the hotel is situated tends to be noisy at night. However I've never felt threatened because of this.

This was my third stay at this hotel and I still love it. It's located in a perfect spot with many shopping and dining options nearby as well as easy access to both the metro to Gare du Nord and the airport. There is a supermarket next door which is very handy. The street the hotel is located on is safe but noisy but to be expected staying so close to everything. The staircase is not for the faint hearted but they do have a tiny European style lift. I highly recommend this hotel and can't wait for my next visit.

There was only one electrical outlet and it was low on the wall by the barthroom for the cleaning person's vacuum. The front desk person gace us an extension cord which helped.

The staff is terrific and the young man who checked us in and out was a great info source on the RER and the construction going on. It's a comfy, warm small hotel in the absolute heart of Paris. I'll stay again.

There is mold all over the shower to the extreme (actually smelling it and the spores), missing tiles on wall, hard bed, and you hear everything through the walls like listening to someone else's slumber party of family giggling or worse. Ceiling peeling paint, hole in seam of ceiling and wall. Just a horrible place from top to bottom for that much money, and a bathroom you cannot hardly move in beyond the mold.

Pros: Linens and room very clean. Small elevator for bags at check in and check out. Very convenient to dining and shopping, Chatelet metro stop around the corner. Our RER B train from the airport exited across the road from hotel entrance. Convenience store next door with good selection of wine. Cons: quite noisy at night, our room faced the street and aforementioned train exit, and it was busy fairly late into the night. Partiers quit about 2-3 am then the streetsweepers start up at 6-7ish. Not a problem for me with earplugs, but my husband had some issues sleeping. Could not figure out how to program the safe in the closet, but didn't try that hard or ask the desk staff either, so that was on me. Desk staff polite and spoke good English, helpful with directions and willing to lend a corkscrew :)

Great hotel, steps from the metro at Châtelet les Halles, Rue du Rivoli, Le Louvre....so many things. The rooms would benefit from AC for sure as we stayed in 30 degree weather, but the hotel itself is a perfectly good base for a romantic stay in the city of love 😘

We booked this hotel purely for the location and we were very happy with our choice. This hotel is walking distance to the Louvre, Notre Dame, and many other landmarks / monuments in Paris. There are plenty of places to shop and eat nearby. It is directly over a grocery store if you need anything in those regards. It is older, there is no A/C, BUT honestly it was so so perfect for getting around. It isn't like you are staying in your hotel that much while visiting Paris. Worth the booking!

I've stayed at this hotel before, I love the location, it's close to all the sites, The hotel is clean and the rooms are a good size. Slight dusty odour, but at least the windows open. There's a supermarket right next door , as well as the Châtelet metro station, you can take line 4 to gare de Nord.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, but it helped that I spoke French. There is a grocery store right next door and the neighborhood is great - right next to the Louvre area and the river. Accommodation in paris is expensive, this is one of the cheaper options I found and it shows. Fair size rooms and friendly service but it’s run down and basic. Location is great for walking to lots of the top sights. Metro station and grocery shop is right outside the hotel which is very convenient.

For the price you can’t beat it. A no frills stay in a great location. No ac or fans so consider that in the summer. With the window open the temp was tolerable but the surroundings are loud. Probably best when it is cool out but if you don’t mind that the value is excellent. I got by with the window and some earplugs just fine.

The hotel is only a few feet from a subway stop and Rue de Rivoli. The air conditioner wasn’t working so I had to open the window, and it was extremely loud all night. With the window closed is was 80 degrees in the room

Great location. European size, but good for sleeping. Aged, but pretty well kept. The elevator was broken while I was there, so did have to carry my bag up three flights. I was allowed to check in early, but the housekeeper tried to enter while I was there. Small things. One night it seemed there were people who were in the same group in two rooms near me which were talking loudly in the hall, which was easy to hear, but otherwise pretty quiet. Overall it was good, and given price and location would stay again.

Hotel is located next to a Metro which is very noisy until around 2am. Room is small with uncomfortable bed. It was clean but could do with renovation. No smoke alarm nor sprinkler system, though may not be law in France (I would’ve felt safer had there been them)! It was ok as a base - I wouldn’t stay there again.

Despite the location, it was very quiet at night on the weekends which was great. The curtains in the room were very good at blocking out the light leading us to sleep in every morning. My only issues are, the one plug socket in the room was hanging off the wall, the toilet paper is worse than sandpaper and didn’t get topped up.

This is an acceptable 2 Star hotel. The room was clean, very basic decor; quite acceptable. The bathroom appeared to be recently nicely renovated I didn’t use any of the hotel services. The staff were kind and helpful. The hotel location is fantastic; so close to the Metro and to many tourist attractions in Arrondisment 1 and 2.

As someone who travels extensively worldwide, I found Hotel Flor Rivoli to offer little more than a hostel. The rooms are so tiny that two adults can barely walk around each other. The toilets are so close to the shower, you have to sit crooked to make room for your legs. Their elevator is the smallest I have ever seen, only large enough for one person and the spiral stairs will give you vertigo. If you are staying just one night and need a cheaper place with private bathroom, this will meet your needs. Anything longer, I would recommend spending a few dollars more and finding something newer. In all, I will not be returning to this property for future stays in Paris.

This hotel needs a serious update. With this being said, the bathroom and room were clean. The bed was comfortable, area convenient, and the price reasonable. Staff were polite. Very happy with our stay. Right across from a Chatelet metro stop, easy walk to Seine and major spots like the Louvre and Notre Dame. Room was very small and not much to speak of but everything we needed and great water pressure in shower. Right next to market and close to many cafes and shops. Would stay again for the location.

This hotel location is awesome for first timers in Paris ! We really enjoyed our walks and metro station was right across the street. It was acceptable clean. I think, they will do much better if they put a mini-fridge and coffee maker to be more comfortable while resting :). Overall it was a good hotel !

Excellent location. Previous comments around bedding etc are unfounded. Rooms are small. The bedding is fine. You have your own bathroom. For the price you pay you cannot complain however I can imagine it being exceedingly hot in summer as it was very warm in October. I would stay here again to use as a base to explore Paris.

Cheap and cheerful, does the job
Personally I had a perfectly reasonable stay, basic but I chose for the area which was well worth it, do not take kids here as they will get killed on the stairs (which I found added to the experience but very dangerous, same goes for anyone with joint conditions, although there is a lift) staff were friendly, building work was a bummer for noise but pretty sure that's transient. I'll probably stay here again next time in Paris. It aint the Ritz but adequate for solo male traveller supermarket next door a plus.

Bad hotel in great location
Paris is great, shame about the hotel. The room was dark and not very clean. There were cracks around the floor in the bathroom. Shower fittings were loose as was the headboard. You could not lean on the desk, which was attached to the headboard, for fear of it crashing to the floor. It was very hot, but you can’t sleep with the window open. The noise from the road was unbearable. Wi-fi was really poor. I had breakfast the first morning, but deeply regretted it. Coffe was good but the bread was very stale and the croissant was soggy and very greasy. The good thing about the hotel was that it was close to places like the Louvre and Notre Dame and the staff were nice and friendly.
