Room which was at the front of the property overlooked the car park. Single glazed windows which you could hear absolutely everything happening outside from but also which rattled throughout the night with the wind. Found the mattress uncomfortable and on the firm side for me so taking everything into account, had a very disrupted sleep. Was woken abruptly by a fire alarm going off for a few seconds. Limited choices at breakfast but tasted ok.

We arrived late and were greeted by a young girl who was pleasant enough but obviously at the end of a long shift. Asked if we stayed before and when we said no she sighed and said you room is well up the stairs and follow the white signs ?
We then came down for a drink and we discussed a brandy of which they only had one and then asked me again which brandy and I repeated you only had one. Very pleasant but admitted she did not know much about the alcohol.
The room was fine and clean and comfortable but when we came to have a shower the next morning no hot water and when i mentioned it to the rather unpleasant girl in the morning she said thanks and they would get it fixed ! very helpful to us.
Breakfast was a farce. we were ignore for 10 minutes an had to sit at a table with dirty plates etc but only table tat was not covered in dirty crockery and debris with two clean place settings. Asked for tea and toast 3 times over the next 45 minutes tea arrived after 20 minutes and less than fresh toast after 45 minutes each time we asked if was as if it was our first request and the croissants we requested never appeared. We did get hot/warm food but scrambled egg extremely interesting.
Girl advised they were busy restaurant half empty but every table still covered with dirty crockery etc when we left two members of staff wandering around aimlessly with no direction and we saw other diners leaving with no toast and tea after waiting so long.
Avoid at all costs this hotel.

Our room was quite tired and pretty dirty - there were hairs and dust where there shouldn't be. The room was also very warm, and I had to repeatedly ask for a fan. Also, no one answered my calls when I rang reception about this three times. The best bit about the 2 night stay was the friendliness of the breakfast staff.

We stayed here for one night to attend a concert, bargain price for what was offered. Easy 20 mins into Newcastle town centre, super friendly staff, comfy bed, one of the best showers I've had in a hotel and fantastic breakfast! Thank you for a lovely stay.

Parking easy. Arrival reception very welcoming. We got upgraded 2 bedroom apartment with on sweet bathrooms. Kitchen and maybe other parts of the apartment upgrade needed.

Arrived a few hours early, and the lady on the front desk was really friendly and got us checked into our room. The room was spacious and very comfortable.
The staff at breakfast were very nice and the food was very nice also very fresh. She even made my son a bacon sandwich because he couldn’t be bothered to get out of bed 😂.

Complaint Ignored
Have stayed here in the past and always enjoyed a relaxing night or two. Unfortunately not so this time. My wife and I retired for be about 9.30 and were just settling down when the room next door erupted with noise from multiple people having what sounded like a party. We gave them a while, hoping it would go quiet eventually. Quite the opposite, at around 11pm the music started at full blast and the thin walls in the newer part of the hotel did nothing to disguise it. I was forced to get the night porter to ask them to be a bit quieter as we were trying to sleep. They did as asked, but only for a short while thrn it dtarted again. I tried calling the porter again but he must have been busy elsewhere. Sheer exhaustion got the better of us snd we did fall asleep but were awoken numerous times until it finally stopped sometime after 1am. Next morning we tried to complain to the management but were told but the lovely lady on reception that they dont come in till later but she took my details and promised someone would csll me. They didn't and Iv'e given them well over a week to contact me to at the very least apologise, but as they obviously dont think its important enough I felt I should msje my feelings known via these comments.

A nice, traditional hotel with super friendly staff. Was only a one night stay, up from Surrey to watch the PSG game, and they greeted us with a nice, personal approach and a smile.
The house is obviously old, with creaks and groans as you wander about but has character. The room was clean and comfortable with traditional touches, such as decor and trimmings, absolutely not a bog standard 'every other hotel room' feel.
Parking was easy and felt secure, my car was literally under my window! Breakfast was plentiful and nicely cooked, cereals and croissants to line the stomach until the full English arrived.
Every member of staff was just so nice and friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
If you forced my hand and asked for a negative, the only thing I would add is a USB port anywhere in the room as I forgot the plug end for my phone cable! Lol.

I'm slightly annoyed I didn't know about the apartment at Eslington Villa before now as it's perfect for a family stay. The only word of warning is there are three flights of stairs as it's in the attic space but what a lovely place. Fantastic value for the space, a home from home with absolutely EXCELLENT customer service from the front desk, annoyed I didn't get his name but he's a credit too you. I love it when people in hospitality understand that they play a pivotal part in your experience and are not just doing a \"job.\" Breakfast is amazing as well. Only visiting family overnight but felt like a holiday. Desperately checked dates for our next visit but booked but will get you next time!!

So glad that the hotel has been able to open. We were able to socially distance and have a family gathering. Dinner was of the usual excellence. Room was spacious clean and comfortable. The lounge was not available to use but that dod not detract from our stay.

This is a lovely old property that has been carefully and thoughtfully updated while keeping its character. My room was very comfortable- huge comfy four poster bed, big bathroom and lovely view of the grounds. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Couldn't fault this place, very comfortable room/bed (bit noisy shower room fan though) and the food was amazing. The only thing I didn't like was the attitude of the lady who checked me out. I felt like I was an inconvenience to her, quite rude TBH. No conversation, or asking me how my stay was. Will go back though and hope I don't have to deal with her again. Maybe she was just having a bad day. We all have them. :)

This is a fantastic hotel. Beautiful building, very nice staff and excellent food. The room was great. Clean, warm with a great en-suite. The only negative piece of feedback I could provide was with the bed. This wasn't very comfortable at all and extremely noisy! I didn't sleep great and would request not to stay in this room again because of it. It certainly wouldn't put me off staying here again!

Lovely hotel, but food is surprisingly expensive.
This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel, the first time I was in the main building, the second time in the annex. I was in one of the ground floor rooms in the annex and, although the person in the room above wasn't particularly noisy, the floorboards creaked as they moved about the room and that meant a disturbed night's sleep for me. Although the food is great, for a business traveller on a budget it can be difficult to get in a couple of courses, which is a little at odds with the overall cost of the room - perhaps a set menu option would help?
