Room was nice, in good conditions, plenty of commodities within the room and bathroom, friendly staff at the bar and reception, great breakfast, however, coffee/tea mugs and teaspoons were dirty, on 1st night mc I requested fresh cups, all good, second day, room was made to standard but used cups were left in the bathroom with water and no clean cups for the next day, nor herbal tea bags replenished :/

Reception staff unhelpful about lost property.Several problems with door key cards failing. Great area though, handy for train station,shops,restaurants,quayside.

I really liked this hotel. Conveniently located near train station but quiet. My only concern was that the restaurant is very limited in its offerings (primarily chicken). I was glad to see a broader range of options for breakfast, at least. Overall a nice hotel but I wouldn’t count on the restaurant for dinner.

Enjoyable stay

Stayed here for a couple of nights for the great north run. It was a tad pricey but that’s down to how popular the city is at this weekend. The hotel put on an earlier breakfast and extras for runners and in fairness the breakfast was excellent. The room was a good size and clean too. Great location and has a car park attached although with today’s cars the spaces can be tight

3 day weekend break

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It was very modern in good condition and was in a good central position for town, the quay area and walking distance to the Utilitia Arena which was our main reason for visit. We had breakfast in the room the first morning which arrived on time and as ordered with no extra charge. The buffet breakfast restaurant was fine with the hot food cooked to order. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Only 2 minor criticisms were our room seem set up for disability access which we didn’t need which was fine apart from it was a wet room not proper shower cubicle meaning the bathroom got soaked whilst having a shower? Also the shower was very powerful but sadly lukewarm only. However overall we enjoyed our stay and would use the hotel again if returning to Newcastle.

A lovely hotel

We had a lovely overnight stay in this city centre hotel. Beautiful, modern decor and artwork. We Liked how they are promoting local small businesses with the mugs in room and other items for sale in the lobby area. Staff are friendly and professional. Overall very nice stay. Couple of issues… car parking not well advertised ended up paying £21.50 when could of paid £14 at hotel if the car park was better signposted.

Lovely tea/coffee/biscuits etc let down by 4 UHT milks!! And yes you can ask for more but who wants to get dressed to go and ask for more milk in the morning. There is a fridge in room so why not have a little bottle of fresh milk??

Lovely hotel in the city centre

The hotel was in a great spot in Newcastle City Centre. Parking was in a car park next to the hotel and we were charged £15 for the night.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the bathroom included a large walk in shower.

We ate at the hotel and the food was good, with lots of choice. Our server, Laura, was great - she was really friendly but professional, a real credit to the hotel.

We will definitely stay here again!

Stopped here on a sunday night for a night away. Excellent location and parking on site, very reasonable. Hotel was immaculate throughout, room was comfortably and had everything you needed.
