The property is in a great location, only a 10 minute walk to the train station. For those willing to walk to attractions, it was about a 30 minute walk to the colosseum. The area next to the train station isn’t the “safest” location per se, just don’t walk around after 5:30. The walls & doors are paper thin, I woke up multiple times throughout the night because of people walking in the hallway, talking, or unlocking doors. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Beds and towels had stains and hair all over. Does the job for 1 night, would not stay more than that.

The room was a non smoking room and smelled of cigarettes, the mattress was uncomfortable, but the location was conveniently located a ten minute walk from the Termini. Although everything was technically clean, there was an unhominess to he place and tons of trash and litter outside the hotel on the street. Very difficult to locate the actual residence since it is technically under the name Hotel Enrica.

Rome urban hiking

I stayed in Rome for 2.5 weeks, visiting, walking, savoring italian food and wine. This hotel was close to the bus and metro terminal and gave me easy access to wherever I wanted to go. Nice staff, clean, quiet and good breakfast.

Room was clean and the coffee and croissant made a good start to the day. A little rough at night in the area but no problems. The name on the reservation diid not match the Eric Hotel sign but just ring the buzzer on the front gate.

No wiffi in the room with a daily explanation of why and hoping for repair today.

We requested shuttle service because I read the location was confusing and because our air plane arrived late. It helped a lot. The hotel sign didn't clearly state the hotels name, but everything else made up for that. The location felt safe, it was central, and there are plenty of restaurants near by.
The restrooms were small, but that is normal for older European style rooms. Beds were cozy, and rooms had a view to the courtyard

Terrific value, everything you need!

Very friendly staff, quick check-in process, excellent value, very secure building, 4-minute walk to the B line Metro station, free continental breakfast, complimentary baggage storage after check out, elevators, small refrigerator in room, hair dryer, shampoo, extra blanket, housekeeping, extra towels provided, TV in room. It was very confusing to find the hotel because the sign did not say Palma Residence - it had another name because it's a group of small hotels located in one large building on the corner.

The hotel was nice and a good situation.

Our experience was really nice cause the hotel is near to Termini Station that it is a central place of Rome.
On the one hand the place and the room were clean, comfortable and safe.
And on the other hand we have only one complain, it is that the heating let a lot of desire.

Terrible!!!

Terrible staff unable to provide any assistance whatsoever. They wouldn't even care to call a cab for me to get to train station and had to drag my luggage about a mile under the pouring rain at 3 a.m. Breakfast was also terrible. I truly believe I am entitled to a refund and antes apology.

More a cheap hostel than a hotel- not recommend

Rooms in separate buildings shared with rented accommodation, Our room on 4th floor in Block B with primitive lift we (and others) did not trust. Hotel more like a poor hostel, with a tiny reception in another block (Block A) on 1st floor which also acts as the area to have breakfast (2 plastic tables and 4 chairs for all guests). Stated full breakfast but consisted of 1 coffee and 1 pastry!
Room was very basic and tired, no coffee / tea facilities (not even a kettle or cups). Needed to have 4 keys for: gate to communal blocks, block, access to 4th floor area and for actual room - very annoying as all looked the same and not marked.
No staff available for assistance (reception desk in another building) and no telephone to communicate with them in the room (although regency contact details given in room)!!
Poor v. small open lift we (and others didn't use / trust) so 4 flights of stairs each time to / from room.
Hotel (really better decried as a hostel) in area behind the station, away from the main areas and other tourists / hotels, restaurants, cafes etc. and any transport links (including taxis). Area around the hotel was dirty and felt unsafe (although we didn't have any bad experience) best described as it felt like the back of Waterloo in London. A good 30 + mins walk to any of the main sites and generally cost around 15 euros taxi ride back to hotel of evening.
Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Cheap: you get what you pay for

Its a simple hotel close to Termini but you get what you pay for. Rooms are very small, AC doesn't work, breakfast is terrible with a simple croissant. The only thing that's good about the place is the garden and the guy at the reception who tries to help with problems but there isn't much he can do.

I was confused when I was booking this hotel after reading other comments and reviews but I feel over treated according to other reviews. It was a great stay, the hotel got all main facilities we need also the hotel was very clean and tidy, and the price is cheap as it is literly 4 minutes walk from Roma Termini (The main train station). I will definetly love to book this hotel for this price.

Staff are very friendly and attentive. Hotel very difficult to locate. It hides within another hotel building. Front rooms are very noisy due to the constant passing traffic. Impossible to sleep with windows open and totally airless closed. Small antiquated lift, not for the faint hearted and an extremely noisy operation. Doors everywhere are slammed constantly due to the their design. Could not recommend this hotel for any sort of quality rest but within strolling distance to Rome Termini which is sadly its only redeeming qualities

For the price it's a great find however....

I read some negative reviews about Palmer Residence however I'm pleased to say they were inaccurate in our opinion. My expectations were low as to what I had read however I was pleasantly suprised. All the staff were helpful, happy and pleasant. The rooms were clean with bathrooms in the same room (as opposed to other reviews) they had clean towels and a hair dryer. The rooms had climate control conditioners, a fridge and although the bed was two singles pushed together they were comfortable. Breakfast is held in reception and consists of a pastry, coffee and juice.
The Signage is the biggest mystery, we were staying at 25 Viale Castro Pretorio which is actually signed as Hotel Enrica! Even the intercom is labeled as such. It's only on entering the reception in building C that you see Palmer residents signage. However for the price I'd recommend it. it feels and is an authentic Italian residence that's five minutes from the train station.

Disappointing hotel

Room was nothing like advertised on the web. The 'double bed' was simply 2 single beds pushed together. Breakfast was at a small cafe 3 streets away and consisted only of a single pastry, a very small fruit juice ~ 125 ml, and a coffee, anything more was additional charge. No laundry facilities, we needed to use a laundrette a couple of streets away. No electrical adaptors available. No ironing facilities in hotel. TV was around the size on my PC monitor. Internet and TV signals intermittent. Late check out [noon] incurred 25% day rate charge. Bar was a couple of shelves and a refridgerator at reception, one 4 seater sofa. Wardrobe and drawer storage were inadequate. Safe was so small a sheet of A4 paper needed to be folded to fit.

Hotel has 3 locations that it owns, so make sure you find out before arriving at location which one you are staying at, the one we had the address to was not the one we ended up staying at, the one we stayed at was 4-5 blocks away, staff were friendly enough, rooms were clean, Hotel was secured, not a bad place to stay. nothing spectacular about the rooms or hotel. but we were not in the hotel very much anyway except to sleep.

Not breakfast Included neither laundry service

The reason for the overall bad rating it’s because of the breakfast was not included and there is not laundry service or laundry facilities as these services are indicated in Hotel.com. I think the overall experience was good but I feel cheated because the breakfast and the laundry services are indicated and I did not received those. The staff indicated me where a close laundry facility was located, it is two blocks from the hotel but you have to pay and you have to adapt to the opening hours of the laundry.
The Hotel was pretty decent, the overall installation and my room as well. The Hotel and my room were cleaned during my stay, my room was cleaned daily.
The location of the hotel is great, very close to Castro Pretorio in the line B and in a walking distance to Termini station. The only problem with the location is find the hotel; there is the name of another hotel at the indicated street number, you should go to the intercom and push the button for Palma residence, I walked two times around the block before to realize it.
Some complains about the staff in the night shift. The security box was locked when I arrived and at trying to open it, the alarm beeped, he only stopped the sound but told me that I broke something and he could not fixed it; he may get angry because I interrupted a personal calling at reporting the issue. The same guy asked us to keep silence in a rudely way when we went out of our room at 7am, he may get angry because we accidentally wake up him.

The room is small and old. There is no wifi in the room, you have to go the lobby to use it. The air-conditioner didn't work out the first night. However, the location is quite near to the Roma termini station. And the breakfast provided is nice ( The coffee is nice)!

Perfect for Backpackers

We just came back from an adventurous trip in Italy. We could not book ahead since we were being adventurous on our stops. So I would book our hotel the day before arriving to our stop.

Trip Advisor and Hotels.com were my best friends. We tried to stay not only on budget but also to make sure that the hotels were close to the train station. We found this place in walking distance from train station.

When we arrived we were so thankful of how close it was because you WILL walk a lot in Rome. Downfall is that other important things to see are far away. Big plus is that the staff is nice, especially for Rome standards since everyone else is rude.

Breakfast included means just a little pastry but if you are trying to save money this is a nice enough place. The hotel is not over the top plushy or 5 star but it is fine if you are not delicate about those things. We stayed in worst hotels for a lot more money than this place was.

Even though the building is like most in the area it had been modernised inside.
Unfortunately the workmen start early, 8.00am and were very noisy.
Also three keys were needed for access.
We walked to the Pantheon from the Hotel, a good walk.

For the lowest price that we could find in Rome we thought we could give it a shot. Like the saying goes you get what you pay for. Basic room, basic amenities with some things that really annoyed me and my girlfriend that the hotel should change. Wifi service is no good after the 3rd floor, very inconvenient after thinking we would have access. We had to share a restroom. No where in the description did it say that we had to share a restroom, and were surprised by it but had to live with it. The fan in the room did not work, so another inconvenience. A tv is in the room as well, but no remote was included. Our second day, we think a maid brought in a tv remote, but alas it didn't work either, must not have belonged to that tv. It was cheap, the hotel staff was very friendly and some knew English, but some of these negatives just outweigh the positive.

Basic but does the job

Quite a basic hotel close to termini station. Clean room , towels changed everyday. Breakfast included in a bar 3 mins walk from the hotel. Basic room in an annex building, block b lift is quite creepy and gets stuck. The area is quite rough but is only 5 mins walking to the main station. Many restaurants around the area. Closest Subway just 2 mins.

The external bathroom was a pain. The shower was WAY too basic. There was no shower curtain or a shower head holder. I had to hold off from showering at this place because there were band aids on the tub on our first day. The room itself was large but was very old and the bed was extremely hard. Bed sheets were NOT clean. AVOID this hotel at all costs!

As we wanted to spend more for our hotel in Venice we opted for a cheaper alternative in Rome.

1) Palma Residence offers free wifi, free breaky and it is a brisk 2-3 minute walk to Roma Termini station (train and metro) and Castro Peterio station (metro only). A great perk.

2) The hotel staff were friendly and helped with bags.

3) The room was basic, had a bed, a shower and a tv. We could not get the tv to work for normal channels but we had a HDD and were able to watch our movies that we brought.

4) The free wifi was easy to set up and the signal was a great strength, no dropping out and constant fast speed.

5) The breakfast was the only disappointment BUT at the same time we didn't expect a buffet. For breakfast you are given a voucher which you take to a cafe near Termini station where you can get a drink and a pastry. Although it was great pastry and a good size coffee it was not enough before a long day of walking.

Overall the hotel was good for the cheaper alternative. Would stay again.

Convenient Location

This hotel is located in a convenient location surrounded by all the sites you would like to see and gain access to within Rome. The only trouble was that the washroom was not within the room itself but located in the communal hallway within where you are staying. Although the assigned washroom/shower is exclusively used by the occupants of one room the nuisance of having to leave your room to gain access to the washroom becomes a tiring task particularly when you've had a long journey.

The shower door was broken and the running water in the shower was a mere drizzle and would warm up after 15mins of running it. The TV in the room did no work and when the personnel were told about it, it couldn't be fixed within the period of time of our stay.

The person at reception was helpful and considerate and is quick to point out the sights to see in the local area. Overall we were satisfied with the service but unsatisfied with the condition in which the basic amenities were arranged. I would recommend this place to those that are on the go and don't intend to stay for anything else but sleep.

Quarto não cheirava bem, pelo esgoto do banheiro. O Wi-Fi não funcionou nenhum dia. Conectava à rede mas não havia Internet. O atendimento geral foi bom. A localização eh boa e próxima ao termini, em local seguro. Uma melhor indicação seria bem vinglda, porque funciona também como residência e outro hotel.

Rent og spartansk. Mange trapper.

Hotellets reception ligger i en stuelejlighed og hotelværelset var 2 opgange derfra. Der fulgte morgenmad med - den bestod af valgfri kaffe/te og et stykke sødt bagværk -som man nu får det i Italien.
Hotellet var en ældre beboelsesejendom hvori der var blandet: lejligheder og hotelværelser. Lidt usædvanligt. Der var mange trapper og en gammel åben elevator, som sjældent blev anvendt. Værelset og toilettet var spartansk men anvendeligt og rent. Jeg savnede følelsen af at være på et hotel, fordi man kun oplevede receptionen når man gik til morgenmad.
Beliggenheden: ca. 500 m afstand til Termini, hovedbanegården. Alligevel var det ikke så centralt. Der var meget trafik og det var vanskeligt at komme over vejen.

A localização é ótima para quem quer praticidade, fica super próximo da estação Roma Termini. De resto, o hotel é regular. Quarto ok e banheiro sem nenhum suporte pra toalhas ou itens de higiene, o que dificulta um pouco a organização. Fiquei só uma noite e não recomendo para estadias longas.

Vi stannade bara 2 nätter och spenderade i princip ingen tid på hotellet, men var mycket nöjda med hur bra air condition det var på rummet. I övrigt var hotellet enkelt att hitta och väldigt nära tågstationen, vilket var perfekt för oss som skulle resa vidare! Rummen var rena.

Hotel perfecto para ir a dormir y ducharse, muy cerca de Termini. El desayuno está muy bien, sencillo pero completo (café, bollería y zumo). La habitación muy espaciosa, con cocina (aunque no estaba operativa). El único \"pero\" es que la ducha se caía constantemente, no estaba fijada, tanto que un día se rompió por la mitad, pero fueron tan amables de venir a arreglarla al momento. La limpieza justa, creo que en 5 días no cambiaron las sábanas, ni fregaron el suelo, pero sí nos ponían toallas limpias y hacían la cama. Personal muy amable, buena ubicación.

Vi hade det fantastiskt i rom, jag och min partner men hotellet var verkligen inget märkvärdigt. Vi är glada att vi hade ett rum att sova i och läget var verkligen bra, super bra att det var luftkonditionering på rummet men bilderna på hotellet stämmer inte riktigt överens med verkligheten. Det var fläckar på endel handdukar och dåligt städat på vissa ställen. Frukosten bestod av juice, kaffe och en bakelse. Vilket resulterade i att vi käkade frukost ute varje dag! Sängen på vårat rum var väldigt hård och den dagliga städningen bestod av att dem bäddade med samma sängkläder men gav oss nya handdukar.. vi kommer inte boka detta igen. Men om man inte är så kräsen så funkar det men för en längre vistelse som vi(4 nätter) så nej! Annars var personalen trevlig.

아쉬운점 하나..

매일매일 새것처럼 청소해주시고, 조식도 맛있었는데 한가지 아쉬웠던 점은
세면용품 포함이라고 당당하게 적어놓으시고 비누와 샤워젤밖에 없었다는점..
샤워젤 한팩으로 몸과 머리를 둘 다 씻기는 턱없이 부족했고 머리는 개털이 됬다.

Palma Residence on mukava, hostellin tyylinen majapaikka vilkkaalla hotellialueella, rautatieaseman lähellä. Huoneet ovat siistit ja peruskuntoiset, aamiainen on kevyt ja makea (erikoiskahvi, makea leivonnainen ja mehu), henkilökunta on erittäin ystävällinen ja avulias. Läheltä löytyy muutamia minimarketteja, paljon turisteille suunnattuja ravintoloita ja kahviloita.

Conjunto de hotéis no mesmo prédio, a maioria deles, inclusive o Palma Residence, comandados pelo mesmo pessoal/recepção. Fica bem localizado, a uns 6 minutos de caminhada da estação Roma Termini/Metrô. O café da manhã só oferece café, suco e croissaints doces.

Zentral gelegenes Hotel

Mit Beginn der Anreise steht man schon vor dem ersten Problem. Ein verschlossene Eisen Tor und Klingeln an denen fast kein Name zu erkennen ist. Dazu kommt dass die palma Residenz zum Hotel Enrica gehört und das sollte einem gesagt werden denn eine Klingel mit palma Residenz sucht man vergebens.
Spinnweben im Zimmer. Kleiner dunkler Frühstücks Raum.
Positiv:
Jeden Tag frische Handtücher Personal freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wlan
Frühstück ok.
Wir waren 4 Tage dort länger muss nicht sein.

Приветливый ресепшн,помогли во всем разобраться.Удобное месторапложение.
Очень плохой Wi-fi в номере.В Ресепшне интернет ловил без проблем.
Простой завтрак-сок. коофе. круассан.
В номерах много поломок(кондиционер. души т д).Зато слышимость хорошая :))

Hotelli sijaitsee mukavan matkan päästä Terministä, ja sinne on helppo kävellä, kunhan löytää hotellin sisäänkäyntiportin ensin. Aamupalalla kahvi, croissantti sekä lasi mehua, joten mitään täyttävää aamiaista on turha odottaa. Huonettamme ei oltu siivottu pitkään aikaan kunnolla, vaan pölykerros oli vesikiertoisen pyyhkeiden kuivaustelineen päällä sekä jääkaappikin sen näköinen, että sen olisi voinut siivota paremmin. Hotellin työntekijät asiallisia, paitsi yksi työntekijä, joka soitti kaverinsa hakemaan meidät, kun pyysimme häntä tilaamaan meille taksin. Plussaa sijainnista, mutta ensi kerralla katsoisin toista hotellia, tosin eihän tämä ollutkaan mikään neljän tähden majoitus.

Hotel in posizione comodissima, 5 minuti a piedi da stazione Termini; camera ampia e pulita, dotata di aria condizionata (anche se non ce n'è stato bisogno, pur essendo una giornata molto calda). Palma residence oli osa kolmen hotellin kompleksia, vastaanotto oli Hotel Enrican nimellä, hotellivaraus oli tehty Palma Residenceen ja päädyimme lopulta asumaan Alex's Placeen. Mitään tästä ei mainittu hotellia varatessa. Ilmainen aamiainen käsitti vain kupin kahvia ja makean leivoksen. Henkilökunta osasi englantia vain auttavasti. Huone siivottiin joka päivä, mutta 5 yön vierailulla lakanoita ei vaihdettu kertaakaan. Mutta hotelli on hyvällä paikalla, vain kävelymatkan päässä, ja ilmainen wifi-yhteys toimi ongelmitta.

駅から5分程で着きます。部屋は広々！アメニティは石鹸と、シャワーシャンプーのみ、朝食はパン１つとカプチーノとジュースとシンプル。チェックアウト後も荷物を無料で預かってくれます。

Preiswerte Pension zentrumsnah

Wer keine großen Ansprüche an Komfort oder Frühstück hat, ist im PR gut aufgehoben. Eigentlich mehr eine Pension mit mehreren Zimmern in verteilten Gebäuden. Klingeln muss man am Tor bei Hotel Enrica. Zimmer sind einfach aber sauber. Dusche okay aber renovierungsbedürftig. Frühstück besteht aus einem süßen Teilchen und kaffe oder Tee. Großer Vorteil ist die fussläufige Nähe (5 Minuten) zum Bahnhof Termini mit Metro und Bus. Es fährt aber auch direkt vor der Unterkunft ein Bus, der in 13-15 Minuten zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten wie Pantheon, Trevi Brunnen oder Spanische Treppe fährt. Insgesamt Preis-Leistung okay für Rom.

Hotel mediano, o estado geral do hotel está mais antigo do que as fotos mostram. O pequeno Almoço é muito açucarado, croissant ou napolitana de chocolate e sumo ou cha ou cafe/chocolate quente. O valor corresponde ao que se encontra. Super perto de Termini.

La dirección está mal, el hotel está escondido.

El hotel está bien para el precio que tiene. La única pega que le ponemos es lo difícil que es saber donde está situado, el check-in se nos complicó bastante porque no dábamos con el hotel... El edificio es raro.. Y nuestra puerta trasera daba a una zona donde cualquiera podía pasar y vernos dentro. La tasa de soggiorno del ayuntamiento es cara

Wir waren für eine Woche mit 4 Personen im Hotel Palma Residenzen Castro Pretorio und waren nach den letzten negativen Bewertungen angenehm überrascht. Die Zimmer waren sauber und für den Preis in der Lage einfach Klasse. Die Betten waren bequem, das Frühstück gut und die Zimmer wurden täglich gereinigt. Am zweiten Tag lief das Wasser in der Dusche nicht richtig ab, dies wurde aber bis abends in Ordnung gebracht. Wir würden die Unterkunft wieder wählen.

Simple, mais efficace!

L'hôtel est bien situé, car près de la gare principale Termini. On a bien trouvé l'adresse, mais on dirai une résidence avec plusieurs appartement, et une fois rentré dans cette résidence, on ne sais pas vers où se dirigé.
Mais une fois trouvé, tout s'est très bien passé, le personnel est très sympa et efficace! La gérante parle très bien le français. Et pour le dernier jour, ils nous ont même gardé nos bagages jusqu'au départ, alors que l'on devait rendre la clef à 10h30.
L'accueil est ouvert 24h/24H, ce qui est très bien.
Seul petit hic, les serviettes qui ont été changées le lendemain, pas très propre!

Das Hotel entsprach absolut nicht den bildern. Die Tapeten waren verdreckt mit dunklen streifen. Die Holzrahmen der türen waren zum teil schon eingerissen. Die duschstange war kaputt. Die klospülung ebenfalls. Am bett waren keine nachtlampen zu finden, so dass wir immer das kalte große deckenlicht anlassen mussten. Im 2. undefinierbaren Raum war ein kleiner kühlschrank (wenigstens der hat funktioniert) und ein Tisch der aussah wie von der Mülldeponie und ein Plastikstuhl (in einem Zimmer für 2 Personen). Das Hotel war wohl unterteilt in mehrere Partitionen und ich schätze, dass man je nach Preis ein etwas besseres Zimmer, oder eben unseres bekommen hat. Eins hatten alle Hotelgäste jedoch gemeinsam: das \"große\" Frühstück. Das bestand aus einem süßen Teilchen (Croissant oder ähnliches), einem Saft und einem Kaffeegetränk nach wahl. Das Frühstück konnten wir \"gemütlich\" in einem kleinen Raum auf billigen Plastikstühlen und ebensolchen Plastiktischen einnehmen. Alles in allem also eine große Enttäuschung und Täuschung. Ich habe nichts dagegen für 3 Tage mal nicht gemütlich zu wohnen. Aber es war unser 10 jähriges und laut der Internetbilder und der Beschreibung bin ich nicht davon ausgegangen dass es SO ungemütlich würde.

Nos dieron una habitación completamente renovada, sea como estructura que como mobiliario. El personal muy gentil y eficiente. La única pega es que alguien había fumado antes en la habitación, a pesar de que está prohibido, y se sentía mucho el olor.

Muy buena opción, solo que un poco difícil de encontrar ya que el edificio no tiene el nombre del hotel, por otra parte muy seguro y tranquilo.
