Loved our stay at Serendipity. Views are incredible.Stayed on both ends of sunrise beach. Serendipity is closer to walking street and everything on the island is accessible by short taxi ride. The walk on the beach to the other end of Sunrise beach is about 20 minutes. Note: many stairs to the room - I counted 150! to our room. Need to be in decent shape but the views are worth it. Stayed in the deluxe pool room. Private pool with jets were a plus. Staff was wonderful. Small private beach that you can snorkel from. Wish they supplied beach chairs. The neighboring hotel does and restricts their use to patrons.

After my previous check-out, I was immediately welcomed with an early check-in at 11 am, a thoughtful touch that set the tone for the day. Adding to the charm was a complimentary tuk-tuk ride that whisked me further up into the neighborhood, showcasing the resort’s unique local approach right from the start.

The entrance, demure yet inviting, immediately set the mood. A warm welcome from a delightful couple made me feel truly at home. I was effortlessly ushered through the check-in process by the ever-efficient Ms. Aum, who swiftly snapped a copy of my passport. Before I knew it, Mr. Ton, the ever-attentive concierge, was already waiting with my carry-on bags, ensuring that every need was anticipated and met.

Strolling down through lush greens, I arrived at pool villa 6—a space that epitomizes rustic chic. Every little detail was meticulously curated, reflecting a harmonious blend of tropical elegance and simplicity. This enchanting villa served as the perfect backdrop for my “White Lotus”-inspired birthday getaway. Villa 6 aptly named “Jumpa” (Malay for “See You”), the villa felt like a heartfelt invitation to return, encapsulating the true spirit of serendipity.

Good but very expensive for quality offered

Its a lovely hotel in a wonderful.location,however given the price i paid over £600 per night for their top 2 bed villa i feel the condition and facilities of the room needs to be much improved. There is luxury rustic and rustic and this falls between the 2 and doesnt offer vfm in my opinion. I didnt like the forced breakfast in the room option. 1 of the highlights for me of luxury hotel dwelling in the Far East is a fantastic breakfast buffet. Regretably this offering had much to be desired. Also there is no swimming pool save the small plunge pool in our room and no sun loungers on the tiny beach area. Having said that we enjoyed our stay, the service is excellent, the onsite restaurant very good( just offer breakfast there!)

Absolutely loved this place. However, I missed not having any sun loungers on the beach to relax. The stairs were quite hard work to walk up as our room was right at the top. But the staff and the view was still worth it. We especially loved having breakfast brought to our room in the mornings.

This is it! Your search is over! This is the best hotel on the island. Book it early, because we met people who tried to book it four months in advance and couldn’t get a room. Even though there are some more expensive hotels on the island, they don’t compare to this one. This hotel has exceptional privacy where you can’t see your neighbor. All you see is the sea and lush greenery. The rooms are stunning with natural wood everywhere. The staff are incredible and will take care of you from pickup to drop off (just let them know your boat and its arrival and departure times in advance).

This is comparable or even better than my experiences in over water bungalows and beachfront bungalows in French Polynesia, Maldives, and Fiji. World-class snorkeling in your backyard (and I recommend booking the snorkel tour which is fantastic). And ultimately, retiring back to an architecturally stunning masterpiece with beautiful touches (flowers as faucet valves, doors with wooden locks). The plunge pools are very well maintained unlike most resorts where I usually avoid them, here I used the plunge pool every day. Honestly this hotel is better than most five-star hotels as it has character, privacy, architectural interest, beautiful breakfasts, and a fantastic location (all the other hotels are crammed next door to one another and their patrons are all crowded on the beach…not fun).

Tip: snorkeling is best just north of the large rock island in front of the hotel).

Beautiful cliff top villas on Sunrise Beach. Ours was secluded and at the top. Front is glass giving you a morning view of the sunrise from bed. The water is crystal clear and snorkeling equipment is on site. It feels like swimming in an aquarium and I visit Australia frequently. The restaurant is very good with a huge morning breakfast served in your room. We enjoyed our private plunge pool and stunning views from the veranda. I walked all three beaches and did not see a property as stunning!

This was a very nice property. I like that it felt secluded and it had an excellent view. I enjoyed my stay at this property. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. I enjoyed my room very much. The air conditioner worked great as well and the view of the ocean was stunning. I do wish they had more towels in the room for shower. I hope to return to this hotel again in the future. It was a good property.

The view from the rooms is spectacular and the property has amazing views. The food at lunch and Dinner were ok but the views from the restaurant made the experience.

Breakfast was a very poor standard. One of the worst I have experienced in any hotel in terms of quality and choice and we left it all and had to go somewhere else.

Even on a small island the property is very remote and if the weather is bad you can feel trapped. The rooms need updating as few very old fashioned particularly the bathroom and they were full of mosquitoes.

We decided to stay in koh Lipe an extra night but moved Hotels to somewhere on walking street. This was half the price but much cleaner, comfortable and much more enjoyable.

I wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay at serendipity if they are going to Koh Lipe but I would go for a drink/lunch.

Privacy is the key here. Each villa is private from others. We had our own private pool.
Be prepared for steps as it’s on a mountain, but breakfast is brought up to the room each morning and the room service was excellent.

You can survive or not . Test your self

Air conditioning capacity is lower than room(pool villa) size. If you can stay this villa with small capacity air conditioning then you can survive in shara desert.

Very beautiful view but a lot of details to improve for their services. We were being billed for coffee/tea at breakfast (they suppose we should use the coffee machine which was broken and the tea pot in the room but nobody mentioned it at checkout. The snorkels and life jackets are stored at the restaurant which means every time you want to borrow them you have to climb up and down the stairs several times to get them and some of them are broken or you run out of the size. There were some eaten and rotten fruit found in the pool inside the villa. Overall it was a nice stay mainly for the view but for the price we paid there are much beautiful and well maintained hotels we have stayed before in Thailand with equally beautiful views.

Top spot on the Island

We are so glad we chose to stay in this place, the villas were gorgeous with amazing views and great location to the main hub and located above Sunrise beach which to us was our favourite beach on the island. The villas are surrounded by lush vegetation which made us feel like we were staying in a beautiful modern tree house. The villas were spacious (we stayed in one 2 different types) and private with stunning views, we felt the best on the island. The restaurant had a beautiful outlook and the food was delicious. The highlight of the stay was the lovely staff, who were all attentive, super efficient and very warm and friendly people. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay on Koh Lipe

I would totally recommend this hotel to friends and family. The staff members were so kind. The staff member returned an iPad to my friend who left it behind. They sent a staff member to bring it to us on the departure dock. They called us to inform us that our taxi was outside waiting for us when we called to get one to bring us to the walking street. The food at the hotel was really delicious. The views were incredible! The room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. I could go on and on about how wonderful the staff, view and location was. Free snorkeling and kayaking was provided by the hotel too!

Feel like going back again~

We got a room with superb panoramic view which worth staying in the room looking at the view doing nothing whole day. Totally a pleasant place to spend up to 2 days. They serve breakfast in the room, you can pick what/how you like a day before and they will send time you preferred. The food was even nicer than some of the cafes.

We stayed in villa no. 4. There was no water pressure in the shower and on 3rd day the pool filter broke down. We were woken up in middle of the nights by rats running around our room and chomping on our bags of food. Just glad the bed is covered by a thick mosquito nets. Location and food was good, although they were trying to overcharge us with additional bill which was not ours

A serene stay with great views at Koh Lipe

We were met by a representative from Serendipity at the barge outside Sunrise beach, then transported to the beach by longtail-boat. From there it was a motorcycle ride through \"town\" and up the hills to the Serendipity Resort. The check-in process went smoothly and all our luggage had already been transported to our room.

We had opted for a villa with a private plunge pool, which was spacious with it's own lounge area with a small tv. The outside was also very spacious and private - there was a sitting area with a table and one sunbed. Great views of the ocean below from the balcony and the pool.

For the breakfast there was plenty of options and it was delivered promptly to our room at the time requested. We also had dinner at the \"On the Rocks\"-restaurant which was very good. I'd suggest trying their tom yum goong.

The hotel also have a private beach which is very beautiful and quiet at the times we visited, soft white sand and clear water. They also have a kayaks that you can borrow for free - as well as snorkling gear.

There is a bit of a hike from / to the beach if you have a room towards the top of the resort, but if you're in reasonably good shape, shouldn't be a big issue. Also a bit of a hike to get to the walking street.

Overall we were very pleased and would not hesitate to stay here again in the future.

Nice hotel on the beach

Very cozy hotel beach. With nice coral nearby we enjoyed snorkeling off the shore. We tried a few restaurants in the island but we agreed that the hotel restaurant was the best so ended up eating here most of the time! The room was a bit too dark at night and the shower was a bit tricky to adjust for hot water.... Overall, very relaxing stay!

Stayed here for 6 nights to celebrate our 30 wedding anniversary. From the initial email correspondence through to our departure, Zai and the team worked diligently to ensure it was special. All queries were followed as well as a few special things. The hotel is on the hill so you must be mobile. The room was good with the showers being the only issue. The breakfast were also well done.

Superb cliff side location with a smashing beach.

We stayed 5 nights in this rustic but utterly wonderful sea view villa. Staff were brilliant throughout - so helpful. The small beach is great - quiet and beautiful soft sand. Lunches are excellent. A really fabulous place - so peaceful.

The hotel is very beautiful, on the beautiful beach which seems private from other part of the island from the big rocks and located at the end of the beach so quite private with some shadow of the big tree. The sea is really emerald clear water. The restaurant is located on the Rock and it's so beautiful atmosphere. The food is so delicious. We have the breakfast serve to the room everyday. When we booked the room there is only 1 room left which is the hill top, basically on the top with terrace and beautiful view but no pool, only some room has. We no need gym because walking up to our room from the restaurant and the beach around 130steps per time haha, good fun but tired sometimes. There is one kayak for guest to borrow which we used to kayak to the beautiful island opposite, there are snorkeling and life jacket for the guests too. The room is quite big made from wood and the wooden bed so it's a wooden noise even when we walk and a noise when just a little move in bed. And our top room is just close to the staffs room so we can hear people walking many times. So with the noise of the wooden floor and bed and people walking passed by, I have to say it's a bit not private(I think just the last top room that closet to the staffs room, the other room is ok). Apart from that great stay, beautiful place,delicious food, great service from all the staffs.

Great hotel, beautiful location, superb staff!

We stayed in this wonderful hotel for 3 nights and we were very sad to leave. We were welcomed by Nu with drinks and he sat down with us to explain everything about the hotel and then took us to our room, which had a gorgeous view and was beautifully decorated. The staff was very friendly and helpful all the time. When we went on a snorkeling tour they packed us a delicious stirred fried rice lunch! The food in the restaurant was delicious and the bed very comfortable. Can't wait to go back to Serendipity, which is a destination by itself!

Ohne Das tolle Personal wäre dies Unterkunft einfach nur zum vergessen.
Hier Stimmt Preis - Leistung überhaupt Nicht !!!
Europäische Preise mit nahezu null Komfort.
Beginnend bei den Zahllose Stufen die schief, rutschig und aus holz sind, aus denen rostige Nägel ragen. der Private Pool ist schmutzig und die Filteranlagen sind veraltet. Die Holzhütten sind so instabil gebaut dass bei jedem Schritt die ganze Hütte wackelt und noch dazu so gebaut das große spalten überall das eindringen sämtlicher Tier möglich macht, warum man auch unendliche Moskitos, Tausendfüssler und Kakerlaken im Zimmer hat.
Die Bettlaken werden nicht getausch sonder nur gewendet, die Duschamartur ist dick mit Kalk ummantelt, es gibt so gut wie keinen Wasserdruck und auch warmes Wasser ist hier so gut wie nicht vorhanden.

DAS ESSEN UND DAS TEAM IST TOLL !!

Vi havde 5 dages lækkert ophold i værelse med pool.
hele personalet er meget venlige og hjælpsomme. God morgenmad serveret på værelset. God restaurant med rimelige priser. Alt i alt en super god oplevelse som vi godt kan anbefale.

DIsappointing breakfast as 1st you have to decide the day before what time you want to take it ( don't like to plan during my holidays) and 2nd served cold plus you have to make your coffee yourself
Found it overpriced compared with similar locations on the island and elsewhere in Thailand
There is no swimming pool despite mentioned in the hotel description
Overall we enjoyed our stay

部屋からの眺めよし、海は目の前！！

3泊しましたが、お部屋でゆっくり、まったりと過ごしました。部屋からも海が見えます！眺望抜群です。
ホテル前がビーチなので、海で疲れたなーと思っても、すぐに部屋に戻れます。
難点は、傾斜にホテルがあるため、すべて階段移動です。
そのため、眺めがいいってことなんですけどね、若干息切れしました。

Die Unterkunft besticht durch Liebreiz und jeder Menge Charme.Die
Aussicht wenn man eine Poolvilla hat ist einfach überwältigend! Der Preis ist gemessen an der Ausstattung einfach viel zu hoch und ist nur dieser einzigartigen Lage geschuldet.Es wäre sicher angebracht einiges von diesem Geld für die Restauration zu verwenden.Dennoch haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Le lieu est magnifique, la plus belle plage de koh lipe. L’hôtel pourrait être très très bien ! Il y a beaucoup de marches qui ne sont pas régulières, il faut être très attentif ! C’est déconseillé pour les personnes ayant un peu de mal à se déplacer et aussi pour les petits enfants ! La cabane sur pilotis qui donne sur la mer c’est magique. Grande terrasse ! La propreté laisse à désirer. Le petit déjeuner est bien mais presque toujours servi froid ! La literie est dure ! On a quand même passé de bonnes vacances

Wir waren für 5 Nächte dort, schöne Aussicht, Anlage jedoch ungepflegt, Algen im Pool, Bad schmutzig, jede Nacht Ratten im Zimmer, Flecken auf allen Polstern und der Bettwäsche.
Hygiene sehr bedenklich wir waren froh als wir wieder weg waren und werden nicht wieder kommen......
Wenn nochmal Koh Lipe dann auf jeden Fall ein anderes Hotel.

部屋でチェックインできたのは良かった。説明も丁寧で、部屋の設備も申し分なかった。お湯の出し方がわからなかったが、通りがかりのホテルスタッフがすぐに解決してくれた。何より、部屋からの景色、バルコニーで食べる朝食が評判通りとても美味しかった。紅茶用に牛乳が欲しいという要望にもきちんと応えてくれた。虫は予想通り多かったが、蚊取り線香が多めに置いてあり、問題なし。部屋とレストランからの絶景は忘れられない。

贅沢な滞在

リペ島最終日に一泊しました。お部屋のプールは最高！周りには何もありませんが、最後の一泊だけだったので私たちは外出はせず、食事もホテル内で済ませ、ホテルを満喫しました。スタッフの対応も良かったです。

그런데 기본적으로 시설이 오래되어 낡았고..
산속에 있다보니 벌레가 진짜..진짜..진짜 많아요..(숙소 안에도 있어요..바퀴벌레도 보았어요..건물 자체가 완벽 차단은 어려울듯) 각종 벌레들..
벌레 싫어하시면 비추..난 그런거 상관없다면 완전 강추!!
그리고 맨 위에쪽 숙소 배정받으면 바다까지 내려갈때 계단이 100개정도 되요..날이 너무 더워서 왔다갔다 하기가 은근 힘들어요.
저 두가지 빼면 천국같은 곳이예요.
